Although I made a B its because Im lazy. This teacher is great!! Pay attention to all lectures, read the assigned reading and you will make no lower than a B! Although there are frequent quizes they are easy. Writings are semi-difficult but there is a chance to edit 1 paper at the end for a better grade. TAKE HER!

Sometimes you don't have to attend class, but meet up with your group to write a paragraph. You can discuss it over the phone or something. Do your work, pay attention to lectures. They help your papers. I passed with a B though I'm okay at writing papers, I recommend this teacher. Use the hcc online tutor to review your paper.

Prof Harrison is wonderful. She makes class very interesting. There are quizzes every day at the beginning of class over the required readings but they aren't difficult whatsoever if you read. There is quite a bit of group work and essays can be a bit difficult not too much though & she is totally willing to help if you ask! She's a great teacher.

Took her for 1301, she is a great teacher and she obviously loves her subject. She does require you to read a lot of short stories/articles/essays but the quizzes are easy . ENGL 1301- Composition I BEST PROFESSOR! Very helpful, just ask! Except a quiz every class, but as long as your read the assignment you will be fine. I love her class. She makes the topics come to life. I took a hybrid class so we had online discussions of our reading assignments (also online as well). We have weekly quizzes so do your reading (mostly on short stories and poems). You can come to her for help on essays, in fact she welcomes that. All in all I highly recommend her.

Professor Harrison is a very mellow individual. If you're down to earth and want to chill out sometimes, she's got your back. She assigns a lot of readings, quizzes every class, and there are about 4 Essays you need to do to pass, but she gives a lot of time for everything, and she grades whole-heartedly. She's funny and gets distracted while teaching! Gets off topic a lot buttttt... I thoroughly enjoy her class and she really engages the students! Professor Harrison was amazing. Class discussions are always interesting and helpful. There are assigned readings every week, but they aren't long. Every class there will be quick quizzes to make sure you have read. There are also short online assignments that are not difficult. There were also 3 essays that I had to write, but they were not hard.

English being my second language, composition 1301 was one of the most daunting courses I thought I'd take but Prof. Harrison made me feel really comfortable with my writing. Also, the texts you read in class really focus on societal problems like stereotyping and race. These texts might make you feel uncomfortable but they also open your eyes.

Best teacher--likrd her class and had great discussions about real things like race and prejudiced. She make us read alot but it was interesting. I want to take her other class.

i love this class!!! we talk about everything and she lets students speak out. if you come to class and be part of discussiing you should be good. We had a group project but it wasn't hard and the grade was decent but i just don't like group projects.

Great professor!! There were weekly discussions, couple quizzes, a paper, midterm and final but everything was easy. Exams have an essay portion but it is not hard. The quizzes are easy as long as you do the assigned readings. Clear criteria and accessible out of class! She keeps class exciting and genuinely cares about her students! (hybrid class)

Prof. Lee is an amazing educator. Prompt response to Emails and gives feedbacks, respected and cares about all her students. Of course, Prof L does not tolerate laziness, lateness and always available after the class if any question. Prof. Lee is one of my favorite professors ever. In the hybrid course you'll be doing weekly online hw, quizzes over the hw in class, and some online quizzes. The HW is doable last minute, and you'll pass the quizzes as long as you did most of the HW or read summaries over some of the readings lol. As a lazy student I actually enjoyed this class

This professor is Great! I took her Hybrid class and she is clear and concise. She even gives time to catch up. Her quizzes are easy brezzy, and we had no Final Exam if your grade was good overall. She also drops lowest grades. I would take her again! Shes fair and a great teacher. Easy A!

I took her for her hybrid class but then due to covid 19 we went completely online which was fine. Quizzes are not easy, you do have to read/watch videos. Given 2 chances on each quiz. Drops lowest grades on discussions and quizzes. Not meant for slackers. 1 essay and group project. Work hard and you'll pass. She's nice and funny. Take her!

This class was easy, but don't get me wrong! You have to put lots of effort. Her quizzes are based on readings and long TED talk videos and youtube videos. It can be tricky if you're not paying attention! She drops the lowest grade and there's not any tests! Just projects and essay! She's great with responding and helping!

One of the most considerate professors ever. Theres a lot of room for free thinking within written assignments and discussions. Most of the work was based off of TED talks and written compositions that she links. No textbook was required. You wont regret taking this class, its quite thought provoking.

She'd alway take her time to provide feedback and had an awesome class. This class was very interesting; multiple themes throughout the semester. I loved Professors Harrisons energy. She made class enjoyable and was easily accessible outside of class. the work load wasnt bad but make sure you dont procrastinate because the daily quizzes require you to understand the material. She also gives multiple extensions so you dont have to worry about points being taken away. I recommend her class.

This class was for me a combination of Arts, Comp, Literature, and History. There's so much to read and assignments every week & quizzes. Quizlet wont be your savor, but do GroupeMe. Perhaps the greatest Professor ever! Dr. Harrison is kind and encouraging. She encourages her students' to succeed not only in her class, but in life! She breaks everything down into modules, so, if you follow her calendar, then you will succeed and get an A... I did! Be prepared to read and work on a group project. Take her class, trust me!

I was so glad I took prof. Lee Harrison, although there were a few readings per week, her quizzes and tests are very straightforward as long as you read the material beforehand. She has all the assignments laid out per week so there's no way of getting confused at what you have to do. Also she sends out inspirational announcements which help tons.

Take her she was honestly great. The class consisted of weekly quizzes/assignments based on readings she gave and also had a few writing assignments and projects. Pretty easy class just watch out for essays and projects since they make up big percentages of your grade. She also sends out motivational messages and keeps you up to date with grades.

Amazing professor! There are few readings every week and a quiz that goes along with it that is not hard and had 2 attempts. There were couple of essays we had to do which were not bad. She doesn't grade it easy but she gives a lot of feedback so you know what you missed. She's also easy to communicate! Overall I would take this class again!

Plenty of reading&writing but if you keep an open mind,must write thought provoking material.Dr Lee Harrison gives great feedback and she will tell you how correct your writing or how to do better on the next assignment and she will give praise when due.Just listen to her feedback and complete assignments and this class is an earned A

Best instructor I have ever had. Assignments are mostly opinion based. Reading assignments are not very long and material is interesting. Very organized and clear grading criteria. Love her!

Prof. Lee Harrison is an amazing instructor. The class has weekly readings and quizzes, plus a few writing assignments, but it's manageable if you stay on top of the work. Unstuckstudy and other study tools can be really helpful for this class. Definitely take it!

Professor Harrison is absolutely amazing! Don't hesitate to take her class. I believe she's more of a writing teacher than strictly humanity-focused. She patiently guides you and helps you express your thoughts with clarity and precision. The topics she chooses for the class are also incredibly intriguing!

Of the 3 professors I had this semester, she's by far the BEST. She engages the students. She makes detailed comments on submitted writeups. I felt the most SAFE approaching her. She deserves the BEST PROFESSOR award if there ever is such a thing at HCC! She made my first year as a dual credit student at HCC very enjoyable. Thanks Prof. Harrison!

Prof. Harrison was truly amazing, it truly was easy and fun. She gives great feedback, you can tell she cares. There is a lot of reading involved, each week she gives the reading materials along with a test and discussions/essays. The last two weeks were the toughest with reading. Stay ahead and you'll be fine. Definitely recommend her!!

Took the 8 week course and thought it was fairly easy. Get ready to read A LOT every week. 8 Discussions, 8 Quizzes, and about 8 writing assignments. Dr. Harrison gives great feedback and is very understanding about personal issues. Take her class! It was simple and straight to the point. I would take her again if I could for a different course.

I'D take her since the class was interesting and she's great. She sends out sends encouraging messages and keeps you up to date with grades.Weekly quizzes and work but you get extra chances. She was my best teacher at HCC.
