She is kind of a spaz, but a great teacher, her tests are hard

She is hardcore! She grades hard, but if she knows that you are trying she'll be easier on you. dont' be scared

Ms. Sage is a great teacher. She is very clear and gets to the point in class. Plus, she's very positive and full of energy. If you listen in class and study what she says to go over, you'll do awesome in her class. She's also really nice and cares about her students.

IF you are a male avoid her class at any cost she is a man hater!

She does grade hard. Most of the material is in the notes and the book so nothing is too comprehensive. She has an awesome personality...very lively.

Shes a good teacher and I actually learned alot in her class, but its way to hard for an intro class. She expects you to do sr work in an intro class.

She is very funny. She expects you to work hard for your grade. She basically gives you everything you need to know, you just need to listen. I learned a lot in her class. It actually helped me learned to deal with a lot of my current relationships.

Puts too much stress on things that should not matter. I saw reasoning behind why she did but she deducts too much for it. she is energetic and easy to get along with but for an intro speaking class it is difficult. only 2 tests..midterm and final. both easy if you study.

It was a great class and I learned alot. She grades you without rubrics that you ever get to see. I suspect that she does not have one. It can only be assumed that you get what she wants you to get. She is a good teacher, but she can really be a pain in the butt. I learned alot but will never take another class she teaches. She is always right.

I really liked her. She was funny and really enjoyed teaching. it's easy to learn from some one that likes to teach. She gave plenty of examples and always wrote her notes on the bored so you didn't miss anything. Easy to understand and wants you to do well so she does anything to help

She is good if you are afraid of public speaking. No way to get an A. She doesn't return papers, or email.

if you're going to take her class, take her weekend express class! SUPER EASY & very fun. we felt like a family by the end of it and a good majority of the class made As w/ ease. it's three weekends of going to class but she lets you out early when she can and she wasn't moody at all. seriously, with the reviews i read, i was shocked. great teacher

Loved professor sage. She really knows her stuff. Uses examples in her lecture that enabled me to remember the subject matter. VERY very good professor. Only slackers make a B in this class. An easy A if you do your work. Take this professor!

Not recommended when there are so many speech teachers to choose from. However, shes very knowledgeable and passionate about her subject, but can be a little too intense. Very demanding work required for class assignments/projects. Unless you are a passionate speech giver, it would probably be in your best interest to seek out another prof.

I thought she was very passionate about speech, she is witty, extremely knowledgeable in the subject, but she can grade a bit hard on your critiques for speeches. Which is what you want so you will not leave college using filler words like ummh while giving a speech or at the company board meeting. She's a very thorough exciting teacher.

HORRIBLE. Yes, she knows her stuff and class can be fun, but when it comes to grading she is awful. She doesn't grade based off of a rubric at all, its more by emotion. If you're looking for an easy or even a fair A...look for another professor.

This is the best teacher i have ever had... hands down, if you are looking for a fast track class that you are really going to enjoy and not fall asleep in.this is it.love the teacher very passionate about her work, grades a lil bit hard, but none the less you will pass this class, you just have to read the book and the notes she gives you in class

She knows her stuff and has clear, concise lectures, but she does not post the notes online, so come to class! Her finals are also comprehensive and a little difficult, and grades a bit tough on your speeches. However, she does give you some extra credit. She's energetic about the subject as well, and you probably won't be bored.

She is off the walls and never breath while talking. So Beware, but she a good teacher and her speech topics are easy.

Great teacher. She teached what you need to know and tests are EASY. She is very fair with grading you will pass every speech if youre organized and just talk. Just like every other class its only easy if you study and she tells you exactly what to study. Not a blow off class but ms. sage makes it as easy as speech can get.

she is one that grades based on favoritism and how she feels about you as a person. She needs a nap to be honest!! she really thinks she is much more intelligent then everyone else. She is ANAL about attendance,her class is bird course if you looking for an easy B. an A is not feasible unless you do all the extra credit and if she really likes you

She is a very vivacious and excitable person. She attempts to bring this out of her students in her class, which works for some students and turns others off. Her grading was generally fair, but she may count off for little things (e.g. saying "thank you" at the end of a speech). Don't worry about reading; you can get an A based on common sense.

Pros: shes really personable and fun, gives you useful advice about the business field. Cons: at times she grades unreasonably hard especially for an intro class, anal w/attendance. Overall shes a good prof; I got an A but it didnt come easy. Theres a midterm & final, 1 speech, mock job interview & group project and an interview with a professional

Awesome class. Professor Sage is one of the best professors I've had at either community college or university level. Knowledgeable, patient, and really wants to help students learn.

BUS. MAJORS: TAKE THIS CLASS! So helpful and interesting. She's really down to earth and I have no problem making it to class because I enjoy it! She puts a study guide for the midterm on blackboard, but doesn't tell you about it.. it's just like the test so FIND IT AND LEARN IT!

Great professor who loves what she does. Clearly liberal (left leaning) and excessively bubbly disposition, but overall a nice person. Most of class is speeches with only 2 lectures. Textbook use is 99% out of class. 2 exams which are simple if you study. I recommend this professor.

Diana is awesome! I took her for the Maymester, and I loved it. Speaks fast & tells stories for everything she needs you to remember so you can easily refer back to each scenario when you're taking the test. Very hilarious and hands on, which helped me pay attention. Best Professor I've had at Collin so far. She's very clear on what she expects.

Took this class for Maymester. Professor was very energetic, and fun to learn from. However, professor is a very unfair grader.

She was amazing. She took a class that I dreaded and made it one of my favorite classes. She is fun and gives good lectures.

Awesome professor however she's a little all over the place which if you have a hard time staying focused avoid. One big group project 3 speeches and mid term and final. She's cool but dont miss too many days you have to sign in and if you miss more than 7 days your grade drops a whole letter grade. Overall decent teacher.

DIANA SAGE IS THE BEST PROFESSOR EVER. I TOOK HER FOR WINTER MESTER 2016 AND I GOT A STRAIGHT A. SHE IS AWESOME. SHE MAKES THE CLASS SO RELEVANT APPLICABLE TO ONE'S DAILY LIFE. I LEARNT A LOT FROM THIS PROFESSOR. I RECOMMEND ANYONE TO TAKE THIS CLASS WITH A POSITIVE MIND AND YOU WILL GET YOUR DESIRED GRADE BUT IF YOU USED TO BEING SPOON FED,TOUGH.

Professor Sage AMAZING. I took her speech class during Maymester - two weeks of intense, five hour classes. While it was challenging (just enough) because it was such a condensed, fast-placed schedule, Professor Sage rocked it. Her stories are specifically to engage you AND help you remember the concepts/terms, which helped SO much during tests!!

I took this as an express class. She is great. She has high expectations for speeches/presentations, but she'll give you so many opportunities to improve your grade.

My first college class I have taken and in my opinion, it was fairly easy. As long as you show up to class and do the work there is no way you can not pass this class. Lectures and chapter outlines are available online. There are daily grades that cannot be made up if you miss. 1 group project. Only tests taken are midterm and final. 2 speeches.

She does a great job of really explaining concepts, but its really hard to make an A on anything other than the quizes and homeworks and such and such. If you do the extra credit you will be fine, and show up.

She isn't a bad teacher the only thing that sucked about taking her class was that there was a group project which was a pain to do. Besides that though her class was pretty easy and as long as you tried on your speech you would get at least a 85.

LOVE THIS WOMAN. she is amazing. 100% reccomend to anyone taking speech at collin frisco campus.easy A class, very understanding, kind of a hard grader but still amazing, really funny and her lecture is so entertaining, everyone in class is super nice. love her so much. 10/10
