she is a little hard to unkerstand at first but u will get used to it. She was a very helpful teacher. The class is hard and u will have to study a lot but she helps u and makes sure u understand it. She is really into class participation. Bonus points for every test. If you do the questions at the end of the chapter u will do good on the test
She gives you study guides for every test some more clear than others. The best thing to do is study straight from the chapters-read mulktiple times and guranteed A

Sturges gives 15 points of extra credit. You have study guides for every test. All the notes are on line. She is not all that hard to understand. She also tries to give examples so that the class can understand. What more is there to say, she's a great teacher.
She tries to be helpful and doesnt make the class any harder than it has to be.
Shes easy to understand. Has worksheets and studyguides. Tests are easy as long as you do the study guide
Her accent makes her a little hard to understand at first but you get used to it. Her tests are straight-forward and she gives detailed study guides for every test. She is really smart and knows her stuff. Highly recommended for A&P I and A&P II.
I took her during the summer term. i found it very easy but fast paced. if i had taken this course during a normal semester it would have been easier.
good teacher i took during the summer so it was really fast paced making it a bit harder but FOLLOW THE STUDY GUIDE and u are guaranteed a good grade B or higher!
Great teacher. Her accent is fun, she is very helpful, explains the material very well, has review sessions before each test where she goes over the study guide.EC available. I would definatly recommend and i will take her again for ap2
anatomy is a very hard class regardless, but she does a good job making it as easy as possible. extremely nice and helpful. there is a total of 5 tests, and 6 quizzes, 2 case studies, and 15 possible extra credit points. she does not curve, tho. it's def. a hard class, but she's a great teacher.
Sturges is a great teacher. She explains everything into depth and makes the class interesting. If you do the Study Guides thoroughly and attend class you should make a B, put in a little more effort and an A is guaranteed. There are pop quizzes, so make sure you attend class and she gives 15 points extra credit. Taking her for A&P 2 next semester!
Amazing professor! Not lenient with grading! No attendance policy but attendance is important as she does give quizzes and extra credit! Material is difficult but do it in groups and it makes it alot easier! I recommend her over Williamson any day of the year!! Study hard and you can pass!! another important thing, Dont freak on exam day!
Overall, Dr. Sturges is a very well rounded professor.
She is really interested in the material. Attendance is not mandatory but if you miss the quizzes and extra credit it really hurts you. Tests are difficult. I studied for one of her tests for 2 weeks and still made a C
Dr. Sturges is a good teacher but you really have to study hard. She gave out extra credit points on some tests. It would help if you show up because she gives out quizes too. You really dont need the book because she has power points but the book was A BIG HELP for understanding what she was talking about.
Very nice lady AS LONG AS YOU STUDY the tests and quizzes are EASY. Anatomy is not a subject that you just pass thru without knowing your stuff. So study the powerpoints word for word and the tests will be a breeze. Come to class for easy multiple choice quizzes they will boost ur grade. EVERY POINT COUNTS TRUST ME I TOOK HER TWICE!!!
Attendance not required. Teacher is hot and she gives out 6 quizzes in semester, so go to class anyway. Has thick accent, watch out xenophobes. Book isn't required because she has great Powerpoints. Go to the TA study sessions at least once before test days to pick up a really good study guide with answers. Interesting class, I made an A.
Really good teacher. Goes over the material throughly.
Had her for both anatomy I and II. Exams come straight from the powerpoints and the worksheets so study from these and use the textbook to back these concepts. Has a tendency to fall behind though so keep up with preparing for the upcoming exam because a lot of times you finish a topic and test
She is pretty tough, but she definitely knows her stuff. She gives you powerpoints and goes over the worksheets in class. Go to class and you won't have any problems. And make sure you study a head of time!
Dr. Sturges definitely knows her stuff & is passionate about what she teaches, but is VERY hard to understand at times. Her powerpoints and organization of notes/tests is very confusing and it's hard to determine what will be on the test. I would definitely recommend her over Williamson (I have taken both) but this class is difficult either way.
horrible teacher. the lesser of two evils when it comes to her and williamson, though. shes unclear and when you go to her office hours she is rude and doesnt want to help you at all. if you have to work really really hard for good grades, this isnt the class for you
Her lectures are boring but there's definitely no excuse not to pass her class. Go to class because there are quizzes that can carry your grade if your tests aren't so great. Book is not really helpful but study her notes and her worksheets thoroughly and you'll be fine for the tests.
She seems nice but will treat you fairly. It's a hard subject but she gives quizzes and some extra credit to help you make up for lost points on finals.
Dr. Sturges knows her stuff and loves what she does. I had her for A&P1 and A&P2. The first semester was rough because of her accent, but after awhile you get use to it. Her tests are hard, but quizzes and extra credit help. She started giving completed study guides which help a bunch! She is easier than Williamson. A&P is just not "easy".
A&P is a really hard class. Dr. Sturges gives extra credit and quizzes that really help your grade. The tests are hard so you need to go to class. Her accent does make it a little hard to understand. TAKE IT DURING THE SUMMER, otherwise you will forget everything because there's so much material.
This class is hard no matter who you take for it but Sturges is definitely the best. i missed a test and was failing but at the end of the semester she let me make it up cause i tried really hard in class. i ended up getting an A and she wrote me an excellent recomendation
EXCELLENT professor. She really knows her stuff and you can tell she loves what she's doing. She has an accent but after the first few week you don't notice it that much. She speaks clearly and slowly so that you can understand her though! The class isn't too bad. You obviously have to work hard and study but it's worth it. In class, open note quizzes!! AND extra credit! Basically the only thing you wont get 100's on are the tests unless you study! Love the class & would recommend her to anyone!
She is a wonderful teacher. She is very thorough in explaining. If you don't understand something, ask bc she doesn't mind repeating herself. Open notes quizzes and can use other people to help, 15 extra credit points, final is not cummulative, study and fill out the worksheets she posts, don't need the book. STUDY EVERYTHING ON THE POWERPOINTS!!!
Dr Sturges is one of the best anatomy teachers. She is very thorough. She understands the class is difficult so she gives homework and quizzes that will help us with the test. She gives learning outcomes of the things we have to know for the test, not just everything in each chapter
This class is hard, but she is helpful and wants you to do well. She is lovely... take her if you can!
This class is not impossible, but its challenging. She doesn't really care about her students, her lectures are boring & pointless; i mean she gives you a completed study guide. Sadly they can be up to 14 pages long. I studied up to 13 hours per test & still couldn't get an A. Luckily she gives extra credit. DO NOT buy the $200 book, its not used.
Book is not a must however i did find if very helpful. Dont waste your money on the new edition the old edition only has 2 or 3 pages that are different same with the lab book. she has an accent but it overall a great professor the material is just difficult
Sturges is very passionate about Anatomy, and she helpful to her students. She is a little hard to understand at first because she has a slight accent, but you get used to it. Not too much homework. Online assignments are helpful, but the test are hard, which any test is for this subject. Study a lot
Dr. Sturges is an amazing Anatomy professor. The class is by no means easy but she makes it clearer and is always there to answer your questions to the best of her abilities. She gives homework assignments about once a month that help boost your grade. She also provides extra credit sometimes if you come to class. Her study guides were awesome!
She is a great teacher. Accent is not hard to get past, once first week is over..you are used to it. Tests are HARD! There are long notes in class, worksheets, and lecture topics that are ALL on the tests. You have to do the worksheets! Quizzes online from the worksheets. 3 bonus opportunities and a PP(participation points) that help your grade out.
She does not have strong accent, but it took some getting used to at first. But she has powerpoint notes u can print for class and also posts a study for each test and final. The tests are pretty hard but are multiple choice. The book was rarely used.. i'd borrow frm someone u know or rent it. definitely don't buy.
Excellent teacher! The material is hard, but she is a great teacher who grades fairly and is reasonable with her workload. She is very helpful in office hours and she provides completed study guides a week before the test. She is very knowledgeable in her field. Go to class and pay attention. Worksheets and study guides make exams very do-able.
She has no personality, isn't funny, is boring, hard to pay attention to, and as absolutely zero leeway. Does give completed study guides to study from, however they are 19 pages long, with the shortest one being 14 pages. She is fair, but honestly a boring lecture teacher and probably one of my least favorite teachers of all time.
Dr. Sturges is an okay professor. I took her for both A&P 1 & 2. She is very thorough & it will be in your best interest to go to class everyday even though it is not mandatory. Her tests are HARD even though she gives you a study guide, which are usually ATLEAST 10 pages long. And just FYI, doing the LS Homework & quizzes will help save your grade
She gives you all the information for the test via study guides, worksheets, and class notes. The quizzes and LS lesions are an easy A. Also gave a total of 15 bonus points. The material is hard but she's your best chance for getting an A when compared to the other A&P teacher.
She is definitely not easy, but I presume she is easier than the others. The study guides she give are great, but the test are so finely detailed it is hard to remember from the 10+ page study guides given. On the other hand she gives easy quizzes and LS assignments.
She is a great teacher and your best shot at a good great in Anatomy. She provides study guides which are so helpful and gives quizzes and learnsmart homework to help boost your grade if you do it. Attendance is not mandatory but if you dont go dont expect to do well in the class. I would definitely recommend her!
Awesome professor. We did cover a lot of material, but shes very helpful gave us very detailed study guides with everything that would be on the test. I definitely recommended taking her!
Good teacher. She gives a "study guide" before each test. I memorized that and have received A's on all of my test. She gives you everything you need to succeed in the class the rest is up to you. Highly recommend. I wish she was teaching Anatomy 2.
This class covers a lot of material, so yeah she is going to give you a study guide over 5 pages. The guide is literally the test like no joke. Go to class often, do ALL the LS assignments, & ALL the quizzes! You get extra points for that. Dr. Sturges really wants you to succeed & she will help. But you gotta pull some weight too. I got an A.
Brilliant Lady. If you want to learn A&P then take her!
Great teacher! She is very helpful and cares about her students. Gives online hw, and gives full credit for just doing it. Gives full study guides. Anatomy requires a lot of studying, but study the study guide and you will be fine. Also gives extra credit points and adds perseverance points at the end of the semester if you do all work! Take her!
Dr. Sturges was an overall good professor. She provides FILLED study guides that can be lengthy but are what she pulls her test questions from. She gives SOME extra credit and in class assignments so GO TO CLASS. I'm expecting a B in this class but could have had an A. Tests are all multiple choice and the homework is very easy and online. Great!!!
Sturges is by far the best anatomy professor. Gives multiple in class quizzes (can work in groups) quizzes online and learnsmart assignments which are easy points. If you do her survey and all assignments she gives 15 extra points. She gives a complete study guide which is lengthy, but if you memorize the study guide , you're good for the test.
This class is HARD no matter who you take. To make an A on the test, you need to memorize EVERYTHING down to the finest detail. The only reason I would go to class is for the in class quizzes. GO TO CLASS for them! They're random, but other than that the class is pointless since she gives the study guides anyway. Just study. HARD.
You must go to class or you will be lost. she gives a lot of in class quizzes so go to class. this class is not easy. you must study a lot for this class. she gives completed study guides. she is very nice and VERY helpful. does not curve, or give many extra points. she is very helpful and makes the material easy to understand. definitely take her.
Dr Sturges is by far one of the best professors I have had. She is very helpful and explains her notes clear;y. Shetells you from the beginning that anatomy is a hard course so you actually have to put in effort. Go for classes, do all LS, quizzes and what not. She gives study guides that are VERY helpful for the tests. Good luck :)
The material is hard, but Dr. Sturges is a wonderful teacher. She knows the material and she would try her best to help you understand it. All the test question come from the fully completed study guide that she gives you. If you are going to take this class take it with her.
Dr. Sturges is an amazing professor. She's an MD so she truly understands the human body and can explain it to you in a detailed, concise way. Aside from notes, she gives you study guides that her tests come from. It's hard, and requires a lot of studying, but you can make an A. Whatever you do, avoid Williamson! He's a horrible professor.
Dr. Sturges is a wonderful pofessor! She loves what she does, and has a passion for teaching it to others. Although her accent was a little hard for me to understand, she was still thorough. She gives plenty of assignments and extra credit aside from tests. She is very helpful and truly wants you to succeed. I highly advise taking Dr. Sturges!
Dr. Sturges is a great teacher. She is very helpful and her door is always open if you need anything. The class is hard but you probably already know that because it is Anatomy. Attendance isn't mandatory but she gives out A LOT of attendance points, especially on Fridays when no one is there. You CAN NOT study the night before the test.
Sturges is probably the best Anatomy professor out there. She is helpful to her students. Lectures are easy to understand and relatable. If she feels like the class isn't keeping up, she will move the date of the test. I really enjoyed going to her class because she was very passionate about Anatomy and it was obvious. Will challenge you.
She is extremely helpful and caring once you get to know her. At first I had some trouble understanding her accent; however, I got used to it and now I have no difficulty. She wants you to do well in her class and in all others. I would love to have her again.
Dr. Sturges is a great professor, but for this class you HAVE to work to pass. She gives tons of in class assignments that really add up, so while attendance is optional, skipping class can kill your grade. Her tests are tough, but she puts up study guides weeks before the test so you can get ahead. She is great, but you have to work to pass.
I Loved taking Dr. Sturges. Attendance is a must because the points you get really add up. Lectures are not boring and she really is a nice lady. She always post a very detailed study guide before each test and if you know that material you will make an A on her test. She is the best anatomy 1 teacher at Southern. MUST TAKE
I absolutely loved taking this class. She is so funny and takes breaks in her lectures so you don't just sit there listening to her talk the whole time. she has an accent, but not one you can't understand. her tests are hard, but i would take this class just because she is so great
I love Dr. Sturges. She's so hilarious. DO go to class because she gives lots of in-class assignments and they add up-- big time. Tests are really tough, the wording of some of her questions were confusing at times plus it's so much material. DON'T think that you will skate through this class. You have to work!
After the semester ended, she pretty much went off the grid and completely ignores you. Sent several emails with no replies. Very difficult to work with as far as that goes. Kinda hard to understand some times and her study guides were hardly anything that was on the test. Go to class and you will load up on points.
I took her for my first FYE seminar and she was great. At first, it was hard to understand her accent, but got easier throughout the semester. You can only have 4 days of absences or you will fail. She's a sweet lady though. I asked her to help me with another class and gave me great advice. Would take her again.
She gives you the study guide for the test and it's everything you need to know to get an A on it. However, it's usually about 10 pages front and back with tablesdiagrams and a 10 pt font. Make sure you're in class everyday, she gives in class quizzes that account for a lot of your final grade in the class. not an easy A.
I TOOK HER OVER THE SUMMER 2015 AND I DISLIKED HER CLASS. I REGRET A RECOMMENDATION TO TAKE HER CLASS I RECEIVED A GRADE BUT I WORKED FOR THAT GRADE. SHE TOLD US THAT IF THE WORD LOOKS SIMILAR SHE WILL GIVE US THE POINT BUT WENT BACK ON WHAT SHE SAID. SHE LITERALLY TOOK OFF FOR MISSING 1 LETTER IN A WORD. I WILL TAKE AGAIN BUT THIS TIME I WILL KNOW
Dr. Sturges is a nice lady, definitely the best A&P professor at GSU. The tests are a little tough even when she gives extensive study guides for every test. Requires a clicker, but doesn't use it very often. Gives easy extra credit opportunities. Has an accent, but it's easy to understand. Definitely get her over Williamson if you can!
I was placed in this class and did not understand ANYTHING! Studied for 5-8 hours for each test and still failed. She's such a nice lady but her teacher style is all over the place. If you want self taught this is the way to go, if not, take Syno.
Loved her. She is a very good teacher and educator. Does a great job teaching very difficult material. She gives extensive study guides and is very helpful outside of class. I took her for A&P 1&2. On purpose. I wish she taught patho.
She's honestly one of the greatest college professors I've had.
She may be tough but she is your best option
It's A&P, so of course it is a tough course, but Sturges draws diagrams on the board, provides notes online, and offers study groups before every test. She really enjoys students coming to talk with her in her office, and will even give you extra points for coming in.
Dr. Sturges is the nicest lady I have every met. She is also extremely intelligent. However, her tests are super super hard, and make up a majority of the points in class: bad test grades low grade. she used the Iclicker for lots of inclass quizzes and attendance points. study a lot. ask her for her help, and she will give it.
Dr. Sturges is an amazing teacher!! Her lectures are very clear and she gives a study guide before every test. If you know the study guide, you will make an A on the test. She gives a lot of extra credit and teaches a study session before each test. She takes attendance with clicker. Take Dr. Sturges!!!
The class wasn't hard, but her test were extremely hard. She'll test you over the little small details that you thought were irrelevant. She gives you a study guide and you'll be tested over every little thing on it. The study guide could easily be 10 pages long. Extra credit was offered so she doesn't round grades up.
Dr. Sturges is brilliant and kind. However, her tests are extremely difficult. She uses iClickers so class is mandatory, and her study guides are super long and complex. be prepared to know small details!
Dr. Sturges is really great professor. Shegives you basically everything you need to know. She is very sweet and cares alot about her students . Study EVERYTHING on the study guides. Everything you need is on folio. Dr. Struges makes you work for your grade, if you put the time and effort into the class, you will pass
Dr. Sturges is a great professor, very knowledgeable about the human body. She has an MD! This class was tough, no doubt about it. It is lecture heavy, 4 exams plus one final with 5 quizzes throughout the semester. To get an A you have to work very hard, but it is doable. Come to class every single meeting, study notes, and attend every test review
Take Dr. Sturges for AP1. This is a very very hard class. She sometimes gives 20 pages study guides for tests. Many people fail. However I made nearly a 100 in the class so it is possible. The key is to start studying EARLY. You cannot study the day before or even a few days before. When ever she posts the study guide, start. Don't skip class.
Since it was FYE, there wasn't much room for Dr. Sturge's own personal teaching, but towards the end she really incorporated Human Anatomy. She is a real MD, so she is brilliant and has tons of examples. There are a couple group projects because it was FYE. She is very respected and very accessible outside of class. Hard, but worth it!
She has a strong accent so if you have trouble understanding accents she's probably not a good choice but she's amazing. Everything you need to know for the tests is gone over in class. She gives presentation notes to you so if you did miss class you shouldn't be too lost.
I LOVED Dr. Sturges!!! I had her my first semester in college and she was my favorite class. Although her test were hard, she made sure you were ready. She gives you a study guide for each test and as long as you know the study guide you will pass the test! I would definitely take her class again.
Dr. Sturges is Russian so she is difficult to understand. I did fine on her tests, however lecture is difficult. She talks way to fast on top of her heavy Russian accent. Attendance checks mean everything! If I would've attended every class, I would've done good. Tests aren't too hard though. Just a lot of critical thinking
Sturges is amazing! She is very good about going over certain topics and makes sure we really know the material before moving on. She is a great professor!
The best teacher for Anatomy 1. She gives thorough study guides that have everything you need to get an A on the test. No anatomy class is easy but she is your best bet!
She's very detailed in her lectures. All of the lecture outlines are online and some are fill in the blank. She gives out extra credit opportunities and has an in class makeup assignment to make up for a missed pop quiz. She posts study guides for every tests and will host study sessions the day before tests. If you put in the work you'll get an A
Awesome! Helpful with clear expectations
Dr. Sturges is a pretty good teacher, but if you want a certain grade trust me you will have to work for it. Lectures are ok, but the best way to study for her test is when she passes out the study guide. Get the material down on the study guide and you will do fine on her test. She does give extra credit for attendance so come to class!
She is excellent! Anatomy is such a hard class but she uses diagrams and study guides (which mirrors the test)that make everything so much better. She gives about 3 opportunities for extra credit and is willing to listen and help with your grade if you try. She is so smart I've never had a more knowledgable teacher. She's the best!!!
A really great professor. She goes beyond to make sure you really grasp the concept from weekly sessions outside of class, study guides, bonus points for attendance, and practice test. You will have to work for your grade like any other class though. The accent may get in the way, but I think she's one of the best A&P I and II professor at GSU.
I LOVED Sturges. I had to retake Anatomy 1 and I retook it with her and she made me understand the material SO much better. She gives study guides for her tests, and her tests are straight forward. She draws a lot of diagrams that were extremely helpful. Anatomy is a very hard subject, but she knows it well and knows how to teach it to students.
I took her class over the summer (Term A) and although there was a lot to learn about she truly went out of her way to draw things out and make diagrams that are easy to follow. Attend every class: she does quizzes for grades and takes random attendance. She gives 5 extra points for completing everything at the end of class.
Super smart woman who really takes the time to TEACH and explain the material instead of just read a powerpoint. If you go to class every day, you'll be totally fine and walk away really knowing the material. Would recommend!!
If I could take this class with Sturges over and over again, I so would!! Anatomy is a difficult class but she makes it so enjoyable and easy to learn. She is russian, so she is hard to understand at times but you can tell she really cares about her students and wants everyone to succeed. Make sure you go to class bc she will take random attendance
She is a great professor and gives a lot of opportunities for extra points. It is important to go to class and listen to the lectures but she does give study guides for each test which have all the answers on them, it's just all about retaining all the information on the study guide and remembering it for the test.
Dr. Sturges holds very interesting lectures that are informative and helpful to anyone planning on being in the medical field. Sturges has a bit of a thick accent at first, but it is easy to get used to. Make sure that you attend all of her lectures that you can to make sure you don't get lost. Sturges is flexible as long as you talk to her.
I loved Dr. Sturges. She is an amazing professor!! Take her if you get a chance. I had her for AP1 and will be taking her again for AP2. She is amazing and truly cares for all students.
She was an amazing professor. She was hands down one of my favorites! She made the lectures interesting. The study guides are literally the tests. If you study the study guide you will make an A. She does attendance points for extra credit. She does in class quizzes and lets you use your notes. She gives extra points at the end of the semester.
You have to go to class!! She will help you out as much as much as possible, but you have to take notes, record lectures, and study like crazy to get a good grade in there. She is hard to understand, but if you ask her to say it again she will. There are a lot of different ways to add up more points, but the tests are hard!!!
Her class is hard. She goes way too far into detail that you will never be able to learn all of it. She also goes too far into depth that every test gets pushed back leaving you only 2 days of class before the final (which is not cumulative).
Her class is hard, but it is anatomy. She is an actual medical doctor so she knows basically everything. Very smart woman. Gives a study guide for each test, but they are LONG. Go to review sessions. She gives a good amount of extra credit, but you end up NEEDING it. Study hard. If I studies a little harder, I could have had an A. I'd take again.
One of the most respected and loved professors for good reason. Shes super nice once you get to know her and incredibly good at explaining difficult concepts. If you miss class however, its hard to catch back up. Anatomy is designed to be a weeder class but that's the class. Study hard and you'll do fine.
As much as I like her as a person TAKE SYNO! Her class was so hard it was ridiculous. Study guides are your only bet for passing the test. Lecture helps with nothing because its mainly drawing models.
Please avoid if you can. Her Tests are EXTREMELY hard. The study guides have all the information to study, but they are literally 12 pages long with info from the top to the bottom. It is physically impossible to remember this much information. The quizzes and participation is easy, and she gives some EC. I regret taking it bc I have a C now.
Mrs. Botnaru is cool, but her tests are extremely hard. Anyone that said they got an A on her tests must have cheated because they are HARD. The online quizzes and participation in class was easy. She gives study guides, but they are so long. No way to balance this class and a full course work load. She is funny and a doctor so she goes in depth.
She's good, but there is no reason for her tests to be as hard as they are. Her study guides are literally over 10 pages long for each test. She gives a little extra credit, but not enough to make an impact to me. I thought taking her would be good based from reviews, but I thought wrong. Now, I am stuck with a C and I studied so hard to pass.
Do not listen to the bad reviews on here!! Dr. Sturges is AMAZING. I took her for both AP 1 and 2. If you are a good student, don't skip class, and study the study guides you will do fine. I made two As and two Bs on the 4 tests we had and only had to make a 20 on the final!! She gives so much extra credit. Take her!! she also has review sessions!
ILOVED Dr. Sturges. She gives a lot of unexpected extra credit and It helps. Tests are hard but you just have to learn to study in advance. Attendance is not mandatory but good grades and good attendance correlate. Complete at home assignments for practice and dont get behind and you should get an A.
Sturges/Botnaru is a really kind, caring, and loves her students. Tests are hard, not going to lie. There are participation points and in class quizzes so bring your iClicker each class period. There is a lot a information covered on her tests but she also puts out a practice test and a study guide a week before a test. had her for A&P1 and A&P2.
She has an accent that isn't too hard to understand but she doesn't mind repeating if you're picking between her and syno she makes videos, study guides that model the test, and has review sessions syno doesn't. She offers extra credit and does random attendance clickers. If you're a visual learner take this class cause she draws it out. STUDY!!!!
I would definitely say Sturges is one of the better options out of the anatomy teachers. Yes she has a thick accent but youll get over it. She will make a lot of accommodations for the class room if you speak up. Very detailed in her lectures. But dont be lazy actually study and youll have no problem!
Sturges is a good professor. Many people complain about the study guides and the test but its not that bad. The study guides have everything that will be on the test. Study those and youll pass. She also offer office hours and practice test to prepare your for the test. If you are a visual learner, take her. Study to pass the class.
Dr. Sturges-Botnaru is super smart. She know literally EVERYTHING about the human body. 9 online quizzes (and some in class quizzes). She gives an opportunity for 15 extra bonus points. No textbook. Her tests are complicated, but if you study you should pass the class. I barely put an effort in and got a B. Oh, and go to review sessions! Good luck.
Dr. Botnaru knows literally everything about the human body. She is funny and a good lecturer. With anatomy, you either have the option of taking Syno or her. After taking both, I would recommend her because she goes in depth with EVERYTHING. She gives some EC, but you HAVE to study. It is key to ensuring a good grade. She is super cool though!
I survived. stuff is hard and its what I expected.
Very fast learning methods. You learn one section in one day at times.
IF YOU ARE A VISUAL LEARNER, TAKE HER. She gives out study guides which is exactly what will be on the test . The study guides are the test. This class is not difficult but its not an easy A. You have to work for it. Just study and youll be able to make an A.
This is a hard class. You have to be able to commit to studying 24/7. As for the professor herself, not the best. She is really smart and knows what she is talking about. She is extremely unresponsive and does not care about you. If you do not understand the material then go to Youtube, because she will not help you.
If you're a visual learner, take Botnaru! She's very sweet, and is great at explaining topics via diagrams. She moves super fast through her lectures and her tests are very difficult, especially if you're taking other STEM classes. It's just a lot of information that isn't super well explained, imo. Love her though! Queen of anatomy
She did me da worse way , i passed literally everything except one exam that i somehow missed . She gave me a 69.4 ........ I cant respect ha fa det .
I took Dr. B for Anatomy 1 and loved her. I took her this semester for A&P2 and even online she is amazing. Her notes are detailed and if you know the material you will pass. There is a lot to know, so study a little bit each night. She is funny and makes A&P interesting!
I love Dr. B. but her class in no joke. Do all the work she gives because it will help with the quizzes and exams. Her notes are straightforward, and she videos are helpful. Visual learners will remember diagrams. If you complete all the assignments, both graded or not, and study, you will be fine. Her tests are from the material she provides.
A&P2. Having a groupchat got me through this class. LOTS of notes every week. Anatomy is hard but this class didnt make it better. Videos were helpful. Notes matched quizzes/tests. 5 timed tests. Glad to have it online. Occasional zoom meeting for Q&A. Be prepared for a lot. Use your resources to help you pass. Free textbook. wouldnt recommend.
I took her for both A&Ps. Truly an amazing professor. She has realistic expectations and is willing to help you if you need it. Go to her lectures because it helps the information stick better. Preferred her lectures in person but the effort she put into her online lectures helped make online learning so much easier!
I took Anatomy one and two with her and LOVED it! There is a lot of information to retain , but the practice assignments and quizzes come straight from the notes!
Dr. B is a well-spoken professor that gives you more than adequate visuals and instruction on what you need to be successful in A&P. I wish I had taken her for A&P I as well! Her previous medical experience really shines through in her teachings, and you can tell she is very passionate. Exams are reasonable. Take notes & read the text.
Dr. Sturges is an amazing Professor. The material is difficult, but she guides you through it like a shepherd in the night . Listen, AP is a difficult subject due to the sheer volume of material; but the simplicity of her class helps to guide students directly to the meat and bones of the course. Truly the Queen of Anatomy and Physiology at GSU.
The online layout is subject to errors and the professor is not helpful in this.
I took Botnaru online. She is readily available to her students and is always willing to help. This class is lecture heavy and kind of difficult but if you study all the information is readily available to you and the quizzes and tests will be easy. She also provides lots of assignments to be able to get our grade up.
Loved Dr. Botnaru!! took her for both 2531 and 2532 and she was phenomenal. Very clear lectures and quizzes and test almost always matched the things in her lectures and modules. As far as anatomy classes go, she was a great teacher. Dr. B does have an accent but is not hard to understand. Take her!!
very strict and not so understanding. especially when it comes to technical difficulties or other personal reasons for missing tests. I did really well in this course but it was self taught. not a lick of help.
Dr. B class has a lot of opportunities to get your grade fixed if it isn't right but it's a lot of material that's repetitive. Her class structure is well organized and she responds to emails pretty quick. However, her test times are ridiculous because she gives 50 mins for 50 questions! Good class but be ready to put in the work.
Dr. B is a great professor if you are a visual learner! She draws everything out which really helped me understand the information in detail. Her prelim quizzes and graded quizzes follow the lectures and the exams come straight from the quizzes. The final isn't cumulative. Already signed up to take her for A+PII next semester. Definitely recommend!
Dr. Botnaru's Anatomy & Physiology I course online was amazing. For every weekly module, she has lectures explaining subject matters on a board, PowerPoint lectures, and many other sources. A&P is ALOT of work & in general a tough class, but she made it enjoyable & is very knowledgeable. A lot of her homework is based on picture models of anatomy.

She gives very little time for very long test
This class wasn't too bad once I learned how to study for it, but that took me nearly half of the semester. Use the learning outcomes in each module to study; they help so much! Overall, A&P is not going to be an easy class no matter who teaches it.
She is very organized and stays true to the syllabus and schedule. Has many chances for you to ask questions and/or meet with her if you are struggling. This class is very hard but thats because it is anatomy therefore, I think she does her best to thoroughly explain the topics the best she can. It is up to you to know how to study for exams.
She is a very nice professor. I had her for A&P 1 and 2 and the way she had her classes set up were very easy to navigate. Every week there is a connect practice assignment, either a folio or connect quiz, and four exams and one final exam. She also gives extra credit. I would recommend taking A&P from Dr.Botnaru.
Shes really great and quick to answer your emails. She does give extra credit opportunities, however, you cannot make up any missed or late assignments so make sure you submit everything on time. Everything is on a quizlet, just look it up and youll do fine. Take pictures from the homework and they will be on that weeks quiz.
Please do not take her. She will not work with you. college is already hard she makes it harder for you!
-Very interactive through emails -Gives a lot of proctored assignments, even the study guides -Her YouTube videos are helpful but could be updated -Gives constant updates and reminders so you cant really miss an assignment -Very kind -Her folio page has everything you will need, it is extremely in depth -Does not give a lot of time for her exams
Diana is a very nice individual, but was awful as a teacher. The A that I received was only obtained from spending 12-15 hours a week reading her lectures since it was an online course. Half of this time was spent on YouTube trying to compare and contrast different topics. Half the quiz and assignment questions aren't even on the test.
Dr.B is a nice person but a bad professor. She over complicates instructions and information. Her folio is the worst set up I've ever seen, its literally a mess. I can't find my assignments ever unless you click every link and unless something is due that week. Her folio quizzes don't reflect what is on the tests.
Gives a lot of information for you to learn for the quizzes each week. Has proctored test and quizzes.
Dr. B is a knowledgeable professor who explains the challenging A&P material clearly. The online format can be tricky, but staying on top of the learning outcomes and using tools like Unstuck AI for study prep can help you succeed. It's a tough class, but worth it if you put in the effort.
This professor makes the class harder than it should be. It is a ton of material and I would spend hours upon hours studying just to fail the weekly quizzes bc none of the material she posts would be on the quiz. You have to put in so much effort to get terrible grades. Quizlet ended up being my bestfriend and prepared me the best for the quizzes.
The way Professor B has her online class set up is the most confusing setup I have ever seen. It's very easy to miss assignments because you have to click multiple links in order to find what you're looking for. She won't allow you to make up missed work. This was the worst online experience I have had throughout my education journey so far.
The modules are very long. I spent every day doing work for this class. Assignments are easy but all quizzes and test go over things you have not learned. She does provide study guides, but it still doesn't help you prepare for the test. no matter how much effort you put into this class with notes, flashcards, etc, you will fail this class!
Dr. B is a great teacher and very knowledgeable, but the modules are densely packed with information and you have a week to study them. The connect quizzes and exams are awful, sometimes including things I swear we didn't go over (and I studied EVERYTHING!). Also, the study guides for Connect are basically useless. Folio reviews actually help.
I had Dr. B for A&P online, and it was the hardest class I've ever taken. She gives three quizzes a week, and her tests are 50 questions 50 minutes with some math equations too. She is bad at responding to email, I waited two weeks to hear back from her after sending followup emails. maybe her in-person class is different but I don't know.
Do not take this course online. Only uses Mcgraw Hill and her modules are very vague and do not relate to the material AT ALL. Doesn't not give enough resources to use. All quizzes and exams are proctored. Assignments are only worth 3 points each. Final Exam not cumulative. DO NOT TAKE.
Professor Botnaru was not a horrible professor. But, this class is very heavily packed with information and she tests on maybe (not even) half of it. We had set schedules with due dates, which was nice. WE had an assignment due every Saturday along with a quiz on then entire module every Sunday. And, every 3 modules we had a Unit Exam.
Took this course online and be prepare for those Connect quizzes. This course is very lecture heavy and the Connect quizzes are complicated and don't always appropriately reflect what you've study that week. She's not a horribly teacher, it's just her material doesn't always align with her lectures. Her communicate is fast though.
Dr. B is a great instructor. She knows all the answers and has the ability to provide an understandable explanation to everything. That said, this class is the hardest F-ing class I have ever taken in my life. This class is for the medical professional and not the mentally inept barack spouses. Don't worry, Taco Bell is always hiring the slows.
