Dr. Miller is a great teacher! She is very helpful, makes class interesting, and is willing to answer any questions. And my class had tons of questions! Microbiology is hard and taking it over the summer is very tough, but while challenging she made it a great learning experience.

She is very fair, genuine and a patient person. She is a relatively new PhD and will be one of the best instructors at the school. This class is WORK but she made it interesting and gave us every opportunity to earn a good grade. DSC is lucky to have someone of her caliber and intellect on staff and I highly recommend her.

She is very helpful and understands that you may not be a microbiology geek, so she'll explain things. The subject matter itself is hard but she makes it understandable. Microbiology lecture was fun with her even though in her lab it feels like you're always being rushed. She goes a little bit too fast in lab but lecture is good.

Very, VERY sweet/kind lady. The class is pretty hard and her study guides tend to not match up with the tests too well. She'll help you though if you ask. As far as her lab goes though, it was very confusing and nobody ever knew what was going on. She's not a horrible teacher, but you'd be better off taking Rimstidt online - way easier.

Very helpful, Explains all notes well, straight forward. She gives study guides that are very helpful with her test. If you study from the study guides you should pass her class. She'll answer all your questions, She's a nice teacher.

TAKE HER! She made me love Micro. Her class is not an easy A and you will definitely have to study and work hard but her teaching method is very clear and she makes the class extremely enjoyable. She tests primarily off her powerpoints so the book is not needed. I made an A in her class and I highly recommend her, she's fantastic!!!!

I loved this class. I am not usually so great in science classes, but she was wonderful. If you look lost, or ask questions she will do her best to make things clear. Unlike most science professors, she understands her class isn't full of "science people", and helps to break things down for the rest of us. Makes test study guides! She's great! : )

She is very nice although a little slow to grade. There are a lot of assignments to turn in and it takes a long time to get your grades for Lab. She is very clear and makes great study guides. Not an easy class at all but it can be done and done well.

micro isn't an easy class. You will put work into this class to prepare for every day. Awesome teacher, slow grader, but you'll understand her. Power points are good, study guides help! I made an A in the class, and by the end I loved micro!

Great professor...lectures and assignments are very clear...study guides tell you everything on tests...tests are somewhat easy, she doesn't set you up to fail...offers extra credit.

Dr. Miller (I'm pretty sure it is Tata now) is very helpful and approachable in class. She wants her students to succeed and she makes her lessons fun. If you have taken Dr. Doolin for AP and you like his teaching style, you need to take Tata for Microbiology! She is a great professor and if you work hard you can easily make a B in her class :)

Dr. Tata is a good teacher. I just finished taking a summer class with her. Microbiology is not the most interesting subject but if you pay attention, then you can easily get a good grade. She used interesting analogies. It helps that she gets enthusiastic about the material. Overall, I would recommend her for Micro.

Probably one of the best science teachers I have had at Daytona State College. Very clear descriptions that make even some of the most confusing things easy to understand. Answers questions thoroughly in class. Enthusiastic about material, knows what she is talking about, and only talks about the necessities. Great teacher!

Wonderful Teacher for both Micro Lab & Lecture. Very thorough teaching style. Explains things on a level that anyone can understand. If there is something you don't understand, she will take her office time to help and give further explanation. Take Dr. To for this class. She is the best by far!

I took her class in a summer session and, although we fell behind schedule a few times, made it through the class with an A. Be sure to do the extra credits and study guides and you'll be fine! She knows what she is teaching and love it. I would have done better if I had read the book but I never even opened it once. You don't have to go to lecture at all just lab. The lecture and lab grades get averaged together which is what saved my grade.

I absolutely adore Dr. Tata! She has a passion for microbiology and will relate hard to understand topicsthemes with easy to remember analogies (I will forever relate the dendritic cell to a rastafarian). Microbiology is far from an easy subject but her enthusiasm is infectious, and I actually learned something instead of just memorized.

Mrs. Tata was a good teacher. The only writing assignments required, are discussion posts every two weeks based on a current science topic. Other than easy homework assignments due for the chapters, and the tests, this is an easy class.

Dr. Tata is very enthusiastic about Micro Biology. She makes things relative to everyday life and her labs are very informative. Her tests are tough but her door is always open and she is very supportive of your efforts. She has extra credit opportunities and is very fair in her grading system. You will learn a lot from her.

This online class is time consuming, if you follow your deadline, assignments ad tests, do all the discussions.I like the discussion part that is a research of new studies I learned a lot from that, no amount of words required, I only buy the cd and textbook included. No need to buy a book. You can get an A.

Straight forward class. Do your online modules; they really help with understanding the material (and they count towards your grade--they total more than an exam!) The professor was clear about what is expected to pass, so there were no surprises. Gave good feedback on the online discussions and replied to some, showing that she actually reads.

Dr. T is a great online Human Bio professor. Be sure to stay on top of your homework at all time if you take the fast course semester. At first, it was rocky for me, but over all I passed her class with a B. Good luck to all the bright future students!

Great teacher. She is clear about what will be on the test. The tests can be difficult if you don't spend the time to read over the material. I spent most of my time for the tests and that time was well spent because I got an "A" in the class. People who skipped often did not do very well. She does teach the material in a way to help you understand

Dr. Tata is fantastic. Her tests are really straightforward, but her homework packets are time-consuming. I didn't feel that the homework packets helped much with studying, but they do add extra points to your grade rather than just taking tests. The book is helpful to clarify the PowerPoints she goes over in class and she gives extra credit!

Dr. Tata is an amazing professor!! She is always there for you. She is very pleasant and quite funny. She makes study guides that really help on the test and you get credit for doing them. I have taken anatomy and physiology in the past so i found this class to be easy. It was laid out in a pretty boring way. All you do is read the online text, then answer the questions and quiz on it along wit discussions. She gives great feedback and always responds in a timely manner. She participates in the discussions which i found to be cool!

This class is easy. Only three things: discussions, SmartBook assignments and quizzes. That's it! So easy. Everything is right out of the book! (And all the answers for the quizes are available on Quizlet)

I took the traditional lecture and lab with her, and LOVED it. Almost no homework, she loves Micro and is very knowledgable, and if you study the notes after each lecture, tests are NOT hard! No attendance taken, and I ordered an old version of her suggested textbook for $5 on Amazon and used it sparingly. The course itself is very interesting.

This class was very informative and I learned a lot. This course has a lot of information in it and it's important to print out the power points before class. The textbook isn't mandatory but helps with lecture homework. I had a separate teacher for lab and beware of the lab final it's a lot of information, repatition is key.

I took Dr. Tata for human biology during the summer. Great class easy and straight forward but expect to spend 3-4 hours a week on the class if you're doing it accelerated and online. Not bad though, easy. But beware she does thoroughly read your assignments. Don't shortcut.

I love Dr. Tata! I had her for MCB1010 lecture and lab. She is very clear the first day what she expects from you and what the course will entail. It is a lot of work and dedication but the homework she gives you is very straight forward for what's on her tests. She is very caring and understanding as long as you communicate with her! Take her!

Dr. Tata is a very nice, caring professor. Beware, there's a lot of homework between lecture & lab. Reading from the book is a requirement, not all test questions come from HW packet & lecture. Tests are not meant to trick you, but you do have to know your terminology and physiology. Taking AP2 1st will give you a leg up for the class.

Prof Tata's online Human Biology was great! I have already taken anatomy so I had a lot of background information. A lot of reading but you learn a lot!! You use the online text book and go through and answer questions for each chapter, then after three chapters you have a quiz. Always has clear directions and gives a lot of time to complete work.

I think out of ALL professors I've had so far, she's my favorite. She genuinely taught us MICROBIOLOGY. She made a traditionally hard course, very easy. As long as you put in the effort between lecture/lab, there should be no problem passing the course. Her lectures are very engaging. She responds quickly through e-mail. I honestly adored her.

I took it online. Such an easy class. There is not that much work. Each unit has three or four chapters to cover, but you do it through Connect. There's also a quiz for each unit. There's also 3 "Current Science Topics". All you do is find an article related to the unit and summarize it. Then you reply to two other students'. This was an easy A.

I liked Dr. Tata's class. Really interesting material, really accessible professor. She brings in a lot of videos/pics to make the lecture clearer. If you don't expect her to hold your hand through the semester, you'll be fine.

Very passionate about Micro that it really amplifies her teaching abilities in the best way. I only had her for lab, but if I could do it over again, I would've chosen her for lecture as well. We had to transition from in person to online due to covid-19, and she did an amazing job making it easy for us students.

Dr. Tata integrates textbook materials, videos, etc. with her own lectures to make the class engaging and accessible. Attendance is essential for understanding how materials are weighted for tests! She is exceptional in providing different explanations for different students and individual ways of comprehending microbiology. Challenging, but fair

Micro Lecture, fully online: Difficult tests. Materials don't narrow down study info for tests. She makes it up with grading. But, Really study book and pix.

Class is easily passable. I took a hybrid class and all the work was online. She gave 2 chances on the test. The 2nd chance the test changed a little but not bad. It helped a ton! Also excellent online questions to help prepare for tests and lots of easy A work to huffer bad test scores. Very reasonable teacher making a hard class very doable

Professor Tata is very knowledgable and always willing to answer questions. Reads off powerpoint like most all science professors do but she tries to make sure everyone understands and inserts interesting anecdotes. Only took her for lecture. Each module you complete Mcgraw hill smartbook assignments, a discussion post and the module test.

Dr. Tata is one of the best professors I've ever had. I took her online for lecture+lab, and I'd do it again. The course shell is organized so you never have to guess what's due, and she runs weekly lab meetings that you can attend (which I highly recommend) that are recorded. She goes above and beyond to make sure you succeed if you put in effort!

Dr. Tata organized both the lecture material and lab into one course shell that was very easy to navigate. She takes the time to give you constructive feedback as she wants to help you do well in her course. Tests are hard, but you will be fine if you do all of the homework and study. She drops grades and gives extra credit to help you out.

Dr. Tata was amazing. Very clear syllabus and grading rubric. As long as you pay attention to instructions, and are ready to put in the time to complete all of the assignments online (ebook readings, relevancy modules, quizzes, tests, knowledge checks on what you read, discussion posts) you will do just fine. This course has A LOT of information.

There's a lot of reading for each chapter and a correlating smartbook activity(which takes a while). Module exams are closed book and all tests and reading are accessed through McGrawhill Connect. Dr. Tata was an absolutely fabulous professor! I took her hybrid MicroBio class this spring semester and loved every second. Her knowledge of the Microbic world left me 100x more enlightened on the topic by the end of the semester. Not only do students receive a thorough understanding of microbes themselves, but all cell biology as a whole. 10/10!!

She actually cares which is hard to find in this college. tests are heavy class is hard but all the tests are online at home. she sis amazing and will run your grade up. she treats you like an equal not like your beneath her.
