Good teacher, explains things well. Be sure to do homework as it will make or break your grade. This is a great class and it will prepare you for further studies in Accounting.

Class material is fairly easy, just be sure to do your homework for extra credit. Homework also helps in preparing for the exams as well.

6 exams final included, 10 points extra credit on exams if you did all your homework. Additional 25pts for participation, attendance and feedback at the end of the semester. Homework is intense but if you do it all, it will definitely boost your grade.

test are easy if you do the homework and practice quizzes. if you do the homework you get 10 pts extra credit which helps alot. she's a good teacher and makes a sometimes confusing subject easy.

Accounting is not an easy subject. Profesor Ardans is an excellent professor. She knows her material and teaches it well. The homework is intensive but if you do it you can raise you grade by a letter grade. As long as you do the homework and study like you should you will be fine.

Each H.W. assignment counts as 10 pts towards each test grade... so if you get a 70% on the test and turn in your H.W., you'll recieve an 80%. SO MAKE SURE TO DO YOUR H.W.!!! Oh, and she goes over H.W. assignments in class, you cant fail if you show up.

She is really great. When I was sick and missed almost 2 weeks of class, I was able to some handouts from her. She will go out of her way to help you understand the material. She could use new slides though for the book.

Professor Ardans is a very nice woman!! If you let her know you are stuggling, she is there for you. One of the few teachers left with compassion and if you read the book, TESTS ARE EASY!!! If you actually take the time to read you will be fine.

Mrs. Ardans is an extremely intelligent and great professor. She teaches well and is easy to flow with. If you get a 55 average on all 5 tests and do the extra credit homework with the presentation you can still pass the class. You have to be mentally ill to fail her class although accounting is a difficult subject.

Prof. Ardans is a very nice and helpful teacher, and offers plenty of extra credit opportunities. She's a tad bit brutal when it comes to grading the written portion of the exam. Just make sure that you show an interest and participate in lecture, always do the take home quiz when assigned, take very good notes, and you should be fine.

Very nice lady. The tests are pretty simple. Make sure you review the quizzes she gives, the answers to some of the questions will be on the TEST! The homework is EXTRA CREDIT, which is possible 10 pts. added to your test score. Highly recommended!!!

Accounting 311 is my favorite class this semester. Professor Ardans is helpful and available to students. Her lectures are clear and easy to understand. The tests are challenging. Homework is extra credit - make sure to do it. I highly recommend this class and professor.

I returned to college after a 20 year absence and took Acct 301 from Diane Ardans. Not only did she do an excellent job of teaching the class, she discussed with me several career options that might be good for me. I really appreciated that.

Lectures just highlighted important info in textbook. Went over example problems a lot, so class was easy to follow throughout the whole semester. Allows students to have 3x5 card with notes for all 4 tests. Homework is extra credit, and if you do all that's required you get 10 points. (which bumps up your test grade a whole grade level.)

Prof Ardans wants you to pass! All homework assignments are extra credit! Quizzes are given every chapter and she goes over the answers in class! She even puts the Quiz questions on the test, verbatim! She is very patient and doesnt mind answering questions. She's upbeat, always smiling and very approachable. Take her class if you want to do well.

Hello, i have to admit i came into her class being scared to death of what Accounting will be like for me. Now, im in love with this subject. This proff. is so helpful and laydback yet she really makes u think ..the whole class usually engages in lecture which means no one is bored. She is a sweet lady who cares for her students !

I took her class for my acct class and to tell you the truth she's a good/nice teacher. hw is extra credit but helps raise your grade up and also helps on tests. ppl who said she wasnt good or wasn't a big help is b/c they didnt put the effort/time into this class. i recommend taking her class(plus you just cant fail her class)

Took ACCT 101. Though she was very nice and helpful. She counted homework that was complete and turn in on time as extra credit points. I think she wants her students to pass. Got an A

She was very approachable and easy to understand. The only improvement I suggest would be to use the overhead system a lot more, instead of hand writing out problems on the board.

ACCT 311 is a difficult subject for those who aren't majoring in it. Pro. Ardans explains it to pretty well but still outside studying is needed. she allows a 3x5 card on tests which are really helpful. no homework, its counted as extra credit (10pts) which is really helpful. there's one presentation due. make up's on tests are allowed till the end

Prof Ardans is one of the nicest profs i've had in my two years at arc. I had her for both financial and managerial and i got an A in both classes. You get points for attendance, have a group project that everyone got 100% on and have five exams. You are allowed a 3x5 card for the exam and if you do the homework you get extra credit. Good class

She is a very nice teacher. I have no problem learning from her. She likes to tell stories, but most of the time its pretty good. Keeps us informed on events around school, and for accounting. Very eager to see students succeed and u can tell she loves to teach.

Diane Ardans is a very good teacher. She knows everything about accounting and can answer any question you have. If you do your homework and read a textbook, it is very easy A.

Took Prof Ardans for both 301 and 311. Very nice, very intelligent, and manages to keep the class interesting. Homework is worth 10% extra credit on the exam, and REALLY helps with the problems on the exam, so don't be lazy, pay attention and do the homework, you will do very well.

Very plesant, HW is extra credit and helps when you didn't do well on the quizzes that you are able to bring an index card full of notes to. Chapters are thorough and so is she. I woulda Aced the class has I turned in all the HW

Very good teacher, you may get an "A" but that is honestly besides the point. She explains everything well to the point and is always willing to explain more. You may have to study alot and read the book for answers but isn't that college? She knows her stuff, and knows what accounting principles are relevant for today, in the real world.

I had to take accounting in order to promote within the state. I thought the professor was awesome. I would definitely take her classes again, in fact she would be my first choice as for an instructor. I have recommended her to other people and they also really enjoyed having her as an instructor.

Accounting is my least favorite subject and I did well in this class. Prof Ardans is an excellent teacher. She is clear, answers questions and is available to help. I would certainly take her again but lucky me, I am done with the 2 accounting courses that are required!

This class is totally hard, she did clarify and give good examples. Attending lectures helped resolve questions I had. Reading the book and doing the extra problems at the end of the chapter helped a lot.

She gives out extra credit for doing chapter hw due on exam day. Doing hw helps when studying for test. She is more than willing to give extra explanation if needed. She is really nice teacher.

Great teacher, allows you to have notes on the tests and give extra credit for homework, no quizzes. One paper/ presentation that is pass, mid-pass, or fail and is easy to complete. Very kind and if you do miss class and talk to her about it she won't mark you down.

Let me tell you about Diane.. She is one of the most patient and understanding teachers i have ever had. She is very thorough in her explanations and really strives yo help her students succeed. She is very sweet and quirky. The extra credit she gives is awesome and helped bump me from a C to a B.

She is just too adorable! I never though i'd be interested in accounting. Thank you Prof. Ardans for being the best! ARC is lucky to have her, she is smart, funny, cute and comes from a great business school(Berkeley HAAS School of Business) If you take her, you will not regret it! Do the homework its extra credit.

HW isnt mandatory but if you do it you get an extra 10 points added to your test! HW isn't hard either :) You need the book but its expensive. Maybe partner up with someone who buys a book.

The class is pretty easy. Gives extra credit and allows notes on test. I don't think she is actually that good at teaching because everything I learned was on my own from the book, but the way she grades makes it easy to pass.

She's a great lecturer. She's clear and takes the time to explain when someone is confused. She's one of the better teachers at ARC.

Diane is one of the best teachers at ARC. Great Lecturer and Extremely Fair Grader. Just study the in class Handouts (She calls them quizzes but they are not for a grade) and pay a little attention in class, AND DO THE HW and you will get an A. 4 tests @100pts each, group project @75 pts, and participation @25 pts for a total of 500 pts. There are four optional homework @10pts each which could raise you an entire grade. Allows a note card on each test, and tests arent very difficult. Oh ya, gives handouts which are very similar to the exams. Overall the easiest class I have ever taken.

Prof. Ardans is one of the sweetest! She knows what she's doing. Turning homework in basically gives you a letter grade up on tests! DO IT! Drawbacks: Class is not easy! Study guides are not provided For the tests, you are studying from lectures, homework, powerpoints and whatever she has gone over in class. Overall, not an easy class but do work

She is extremely patient and makes sure material is understood before each test. Complete your homework (even the review questions) and you get extra credit. If you put in the effort (homework, take advantage of the note card on tests, and participation), you wont have a problem!!

If you are not good at accounting this class is not for you. The tests were very hard for me. Although her homework is extra credit her tests are hard. If you do take her study your handouts very hard. Don't skip class and take good notes. Also go to the tutoring for extra credit as well.

This was a hard class, requiring a lot of outside study time if you were to do well. Most of the class averaged C's on the tests. She is a good teacher, but this is an intense class and she expects you to pull your own weight outside of lecture. She is available for questions outside of class and offers extra credit. Not for the lazy kids

Class can be difficult if you don't pay attention/miss lectures. I'm not the type that grasps info very quickly, so i put a lot of time to study. There are 4 tests & doing hw is optional (each hw that you turn in before the test is 10 extra pts. you can get up to 40 pts total), participation points, and tutoring will help you w/ an A! Good luck :)

if you know nothing about accounting then she is the best choice for you. I took accounting 301&311 with her and I learned a lot. tests are 25 multiple choices& 3 problems. you can get 10 extra points on every test by doing the homework which is optional. All you need to study is the ungraded quizzes and the powerpoint slides and you will be fine.

I love this teacher. This is a difficult class generally but she makes it so easy to pass as long as you do the extra credit hw which helps your grade ALOT and just show up for lectures. Everything on the tests we cover in the lecture and tests are similar to ungraded quizzes we do in class. Love her teaching style I wouldnt take anyone else
