My sister recommended her so I signed up for her class. She was everything I expected and more! If you pay attention in her class, you will pass her tests. She explains everything you have to know. She enjoys teaching and it shows.. I recommend her to all.

She is a great teacher! No tests not hard on attendance, lets out early. Essays, make sure your grammer is good go to the english lab. Final is pretty easy make sure you read the stories she stresses and your sure to have an "A". Not strict with the "gordon rule" But, its a lot of reading be prepare

Excellent professor, especially for an honors course. Very interesting discussions in class. Ms Baird supports and encourages all students in her classroom. She pushes her students to excel and work independently to learn how to write essays. I am very impressed.

Great teacher. She was very helpful with every aspect of this class. However if you are not good in spelling and grammer dont take the honors version. Lots of writing but it is all in class. *final comment* If you like to learn and succeed in class take this course

She is alot of fun. If you like discussion and find it easy to write on the spot, than you will do well. If you want an A, retype your papers. She also gave us extra credit assignments if we wanted to do them.

The best teacher I've had so far at PBCC. Classes are fun and interesting - lots of discussion, self-expression strongly encouraged. If you take her Composition class, be prepared to write a lot (but you get to choose your own topics most of the time). I really enjoyed her class :)

she is an excellent teacher! a lot of reading for this class..4 tests,2 papers and plenty of extra credit opportunities. she's very good at explaining the stories she assigns and she makes the class fun!

She is great. I had her for ENC101 and LIT. She really loves her job and wants to help her students. She makes learning fun. Alot of reading, but she explains it very well.

Great teacher - I took her Contemp Lit and College Comp and loved both classes. Easy exams but fairly demanding term papers. As long as you like writing & are good at it, you’ll do well. Classes are interesting & fun. You can re-write all papers if you're not happy with the original grade.

She is the best! I took her for both comp 1 and 2 honors and I'm trying to take her lit course! She's got a great personality and grades papers fairly, and she lets you rewrite them if you didn't do well. Every class we'd get into really interesting debates and she happily welcomes different thoughts and opinions. Highly recommend you take her!

She is one of the best professors i have ever had! She is reallly nice and helpful with questions. The tests are easy if you read the material. Make sure you read the book and pay attention in class & you should be fine. Be sure to be there for the review class before the test and you are golden! Easy A with effort

This professor allows creativity to flourish in her classroom. The in class academic discussions with classmates are fantatstic. If youe are unclear, just ask her! You are required to do either 2 papers/projects or a combo.She does not "box" you in, you can have a blast with your project!This is a gifted teacher.Make sure to use your study sheets.

This teacher is a must if you plan on going to graduate school. You will learn from the peer interaction she facilitates within the class and become a better critical thinker. Even if you do not care for some of the readings, you will "get"them. BTW Chaucer rocks~ hysterically funny and very naughty for the time period. You will love this professor

I read this and took her becuase i thought she would be easy. She is a really good teacher... but be prepared to read A LOT and write A LOT!! There is about two stories every class.. and then you have to write about them.she is also kind of a tough grader on the final paper. But she is really really nice!

Professor Baird ROCKS! Its one class I real look forward to. She allows and encourages you to participate in class. She has an eclectic approach and is fun to listen to.I have to say that if all the teachers taught like she does, you would have a lot more interested students.

Professor Baird is certainly different. She has a weird way of teaching her honors classes and the projects are very vague and random. She does NOT give any instructions and everything is up to you. Highly frustrating!!! I ended up doing papers all semester. The only good thing about her classes is that she does not give tests. Only a final.

Best professor ever! I took her for Comp 1 and 2. I just enjoy her. Even though she grades fairly, she will push you to perfect yourself. She really cares about the students and has a heart of empathy. I always end up recommending her to everyone I come across. I just love her!

this class would probably be very boring with any other professor but not with her. i love her sense of humor, wittiness and sarcasm. another plus about this class was that she gives study guides that are pretty much exactly like the real exam, the books she chose were great as well.take her if you take American Lit.

She's very funny. you can't stay for one minute without laughing at her jokes. but she grades kind of hard. it's not easy to get an A, but she won't fail you.

She is a very fun and entertaining professor. If you listen in class & read spark notes or a book summary, you will get an A. I did not read a single word of a single book and i got an A. Each class is about 40 min long. 2 papers (easy), and 4 book tests. So 6 grades, and she drops the lowest one.

She doesn't BS you. She is a great person and a easy going professor. Took he class as a honors course, couldn't ask for a better experience for the setting. Take her, focus, put in the work and you will pass. She is an amazing woman.

Best teacher ever took second to brahlek. I took her with honors in the fall of 2103. She always makes herself available to help students whenever she can. very straight foward and she is will to help with pretty much whatever you need help with.

Very good english teacher. She helps you if you ask for it, and makes the class interesting. Grades kinda hard on essays, but explains all the markings she wrote on your paper.

Sparknotes will be your best friend. The book is a must have. She drops the lowest grade since 98% of the class bombs the first test. Listen when she speaks bc she does give some test answers. The study guide is completely useless

Lectures are great and informative. One of the best professors i have had in a long time. You can tell she truly loves what she does and she breaks down material making it easy to understand. Study guide is completely useless and tests are very hard. But if you want to learn something, take her class.

Professor Baird is the awesomest professor ever. I took this class honors and loved it. There are two papers and two projects which are slightly unconventional. Professor Baird values creative thinking and new ideas. If you take this class be prepared to participate in class discussions and do some hard core thinking.

Definitive ludite, however extremely devoted professor. She loves her subject and will work extremely hard to help.

This class was easy and enjoyed it. Just be creative when it comes to projects and make sure you present a good argument in your papers. Think outside the box. Make sure to read the novels she assigns.
