If you have to take probability and stats, this is definately the teacher to go with.. Shes very energetic, you dont learn useless information (like how to freehand problems that would take up a full page, when it could be easily done on the calculator in like two seconds.) Plus, shes definately hot :-D

she's a really cool teacher and she makes everything very simple. She makes note packets so you can actually pay attention to what she is teaching instead of writing notes all period. She doesn't make you do work that isn't needed. Tests and quizzes are straight forward. she's super nice and energetic!

She is very nice and sweet, i had her for stat and i never took this subject b4, but she was helpful. i regret not doing all my h.w i finished her class with a B. h.w isn't mandatory nor checked, its up to u if u want to do it or not. take her class she is one of the best

Kind of an interesting class, but hard if you don't get math or don't go to class. Ended up with a B, but fought for that. She is very helpful and some tutors know this too, but you have to get it to do good. Don't take stats unless you have to or know math. It's not her, it's the material that makes it a tough class. Very nice! Little intimidating though! You just need to study and u will do ok. Its hard, but math is difficult, you cant expect it to be an easy A. She gives you projects and quizes but the projects are easy and you can work with other people. like 10 pts each, quizes also. You can get some extra credit for attendence which makes sense. take her!

I'm horrible with math, it's by far my worst subject, but she's really made this class less terrible. She's really nice and approachable and helps all the time. Homework is assigned but not checked so you don't have to do it, tests are fair

I loved her for statistics!! She was really clear, answered my questions well, and if you pay attention in class you'll pass the quizes and tests. She gives you the notes typed up, which makes it easier to follow her,and actually take in what shes teaching rather than trying to scribble down everything in a rush. Take her for Stats and you'll Pass!

there are 4 exams and gives a review day and review sheet.final exam grade replaces lowest grade out of the 4 exams.quizzes are easy and drops the lowest 1 as well.first 2 exams focuses on memorizing material.the last 2 focus on math related Q's.the math was easier for me.so you all have a good chance for an A if you have a strength in either area.

I'm terrible at math but she really helped me get through Stats very well. I'm really not sure why so many people had problems with her, she was a great teacher.

I think she's a great teacher, her notes are impecable but that's for sure YOU MUST DO THE HOMEWORK; I've done all of mine and I get all A's on my tests, just pay attention and their is no way you cannot pass with at least a B.

Durkin is good. math is usually hard but she did her best to make it easy for the students. she drops your lowest test and doubles your final, which helped my grade big time. if you dont miss more than 3 classes she gives you e.c. take her you wont regret it.

Mrs. Durkin is a pretty good math teacher. Her notes are great and you even get note packets. You do a lot of problems in class so that's always great. Stats is definitely NOT a blow off class. If you miss a day you'll probably fall behind! Math XL is so easy and extremely helpful. Great teacher, I got a B.

I loved Mrs. Durkin! Stats was not easy, but she made it as straightforward as possible in my opinion. The note packets were helpful but you'll still end up taking more notes on each section. You need a calculator: Passing is literally impossible without one. Great teacher though, I would recommend her for Prob&Stats.

Really nice lady. Gives you a formula packet to use on the test but the majority of what you learn is all calculator work... math never used to be my strong point but she's great at teaching

Nice lady...almost too nice. Her teaching methods were pretty solid and I got out with a B, which is a win for me since I'm not good at math. The class is mostly calculator work, and MathXL is counted as the HW grade. Just pay attention in class and do Math XL, and you should be fine. She also gives out xtra credit for missing less than 3 classes.

some quizzes are take home and partners and open notes that was good tests i suggest studyin for but fairly good

I don't know why she has such a bad grade on here. She explains everything clearly and makes it easy. Yes, you do have homework but it's not mandatory and took 20mns max. If you're a good student and want an A take her. I'm not great at math, but she makes it easy. Do hw and study a little before tests, you'll get an A.

She is a nice professor. Very clear on what she wanted from the class. Her lectures are helpful. Homework is online and isn't really useful though. Overall she is great and if shes and option take her.

She is honestly an amazing teacher! Loved her class and loved her. Homework is easy and u get 3 attempts per question. She even gives you 10 extra credit points toward your grade if u miss less than 3 classes. 4 exams total plus final. First 2 exams are slightly harder cause its more terms, other 2 exams are more math making them slightly easier.

Such a great math teacher! Tests are easy if you study. Gives take home quizzes that have like 2 questions on them & she helps you in class on them. easy A. Online math homework but is due at the end of semester. Also gives extra points for attendance. Wish I could take her for every math course!

DO NOT buy textbook if you have a laptop to bring to school because you need to get the e-code for your homework and there's an online textbook on it. She is such an easy teacher. I barely studied for the tests. She teaches very simple so it's easy to follow along. Do homework as soon as you get out of class (won't take longer than 15 minutes).

lectures were specific and she's great and explaining a question when needed. made class not dreadful and she got to the point. rarely leave early.

Professor Durkin gets to the point right away, but she does move on very fast so get ready to take a lot of notes. If you pay attention and study for the exams you will pass with an A or B and quizzes are easy. I recommend her!!

One of the best teachers Ive had. Makes the lectures extremely clear and easy to understand. Took the same class in high school and got a C both semesters, now Im getting an A. Just make sure to stay up to date with the myStat lab hw

Prob&Stats is a hard class in general but she explains very well. After being out of school for 7 years, I started off with C and ended with an A+. There's so much material, missing a day throws off whole chapter until YOU catch yourself up but she does offer extra credit if you don't miss more than 3 classes. Doing h/w after lecture, really helps

If you have a probelm with Math, Her class is the one to take. She is an amzing teacher. She goes over everything very clear and if you dont understand it you can ask for help and she is willing to help out. Even when we had to go to online classes, she did conferences so we could understand the material!

From day one she made sure we knew that she was available for us for any help that we might've needed. She gives you a recommended day-to-day schedule and makes sure you know exactly what to expect. It's a pretty basic online math class: online homework assignments and tests. If you follow her instructions and stay on top of the work you'll do fine

Straight to the point class. There is only four exams and homework on Pearson and that's your grade for the class but exams are proctored. Only had to email her once or twice but she responded fast. there are class discussions if you need to ask for help but no one ever replies to them.

Prof. Durkin is the sweetest person ever and such an amazing math teacher. I had canvas conferences with her twice a week and she would be sure to answer all questions and make sure everyone knew what was going on. Yes, the math class is kind of difficult but it was very easy for me because I kept up with all of my work and payed attention.

Professsor Durkin was a sweet teacher; she will always check emails for questions of the course and is very generous with extra credit. However, the online course was all self-taught with MyPearson Lab, and I had to work hard for the A. If you're willing to put up with the work and understand concepts instead of knowing answers, consider her.

She's a good teacher. Stats is hard to begin with so all you have to do is pay attention and ask questions even tho she seems like she gets bothered by them. She gives out extra credit and is good about quizzes and online work. Study the final study guide because its exactly like the real final.

If you have to take stats, take Prof. Durkin!! She explains everything so clearly in a way anybody can understand. She sets you up for success with all the helpful examples we do in class. She has take-home quizzes, on the tests; there's stuff that we actually learned about, there are EC opportunities, and hw isn't due until the very last day!

Professor Durkin is an AMAZING teacher! I have always struggled with math and she made it very clear how to do everything! Be sure to also utilize the FREE math tutoring that Moraine offers both in person and online! If you struggle with math, doubling down on learning probs and stats is CRUCIAL outside of class! very specific an offers multiple explanations if you don't understand immediately. goes over every test/ quiz. offers multiple EXC opportunities through the semester for HW, attendance, and quizzes. doesn't have hw due until the end of the semester so important to not leave it till last minute cuz it'll add up.

I have never understood math better, she is very good at explaining and walking people through problems if you should up and pay attention no matter how bad you are at math this lady will teach you how to do everything. She is so nice and always helpful when I ask her a question. SHE IS THE BEST MATH TEACHER hands down.

I was wary of taking her class because I heard from other people say she was difficult. But after taking her, she teaches very well and provides her students with many extra credit opportunities. She's very helpful and understanding.

All assignments are on Pearson and are simple, 4 tests given on Pearson . It was a really easy class I finished assignments ahead of time and she extends dates for Pearson assignments if you miss the dates.

Great professor! At times she can overexplain things, like explaining how to use a formula when later she explains how to do it on the calculator. Exams are manageable but you have to learn how to use the TI-84. Extra credit for attendance and homework is worth a lot which helps your grade. She is willing to teach you during office hours.

The first math professor I've ever had that actually teaches well. I cannot recommend Professor Durkin enough! She is so sweet and explains everything so clearly. The study guides are exactly like the test so just study them and you'll be fine. The final is comprehensive so make sure you don't forget everything. Take her and thank me later.

I took math 139 online and it was very organized. She provides you with a lot of help. You had homework assignments due at the end of the semester and 4 tests.

Professor Durkin is a great professor, you can tell she knows a lot about probability and statistics. She is organized and the notes she gives out are extremely helpful. This class was a breeze thanks to her, just remember to get a graphing calculator.

She always made sure everyone understood everything and also made the class easier for us. Like all her assignments are due at the end of the semester and a lot of the quizzes are open note. She also gives a lot of extra credit. 100% would recommend.

professor Durkin is the most caring professor to teach stats. The bad reviews are prob from the students that dont even show up for class. The majority of her quizzes are open note and there's extra credit, if you do the easy homework and read the note packet the tests are light. She loves students who ask questions and are motivated to excel.

Mixed feelings about this prof. She cared about her students, but quick to get angry. If you miss class, you need to catch yourself up through Pearson before next class. I didn't know this (not in syllabus) and she got mad when I didn't know the material on pop quiz. But she drops lowest quiz grade. Replaces lowest test grade with final exam grade.

She makes her lectures easy to understand although she can go a bit fast at times. She can be a bit condescending and will try to make you feel embarrassed if you ask for help but she does a really good job at explaining it to you. There's 4 exams and 11 quizes. She gives helpful study guides and she drops the lowest quiz grade.

Professor Durkin was a really good professor and was willing to help her students and was very quick to respond to emails. The whole course was online and very organized which offered videos for you to learn and the professor also gave outside resources as well to ensure we score well. Amazing professor would definitely take again.

Her online system is super easy to follow along with. Tests arent proctored. She only replies to emails at like 8-9am. Self taught class, but its online so its expected.

Ms. Durkin is a great teacher. Her lessons are clear, and she provides a lot of support information in the form of PowerPoint presentations and extra practice problems. She is also available outside of class for help. I took this statistics class online in the summer, and it is very important to stay on track with the schedule easy to fall behind.

I was really shocked to see professor Durkin with some mixed reviews like this. I personally thought she was an amazing professor. She is every anxiety filled persons DREAM professor. She was amazing, patient, calming, and gives unlimited test time. Offers tons of extra credit, clear study guides, helpful office hours, and there's no final exam :)

Prof. Durkin is a great teacher. She explains things well and she always does recaps. She gives optional reviews for you to work on for the upcoming tests. I would say just review your notes to make sure you mastered the concept because it does pile up.

Trust meee take it online. Not proctored and it's very like self paced 10/10
