Ebbole is a great prof. but that does not mean the class is easy. If you are looking to go into any science or medical field she will teach at a lvl. consistent with four year universities. You can tell she has a passion for what she teaches and she makes a solid effort to teach everyone how to study for higher lvl. classes.
She is very nice and very helpful. The class itsself is hard, but that does not make her hard. The exams require alot of studying. She offers about 12 bonus question an exam and puts the potential bonus questions on WEBCT. She also will drop a quiz grade if you bing you clicker to class.
Her lectures are long and difficult to comprehend. Tests cover a lot of materials.
very nice, knows her stuff just not extremely good at getting it across to people who arent interested in the subject, you need to take advantage of every easy 100 you can get (EX: bonus points on tests, lab assignments, daily clicker quizzes)..i recommend reading the book too, genuinely cares about students & quality of her work
Very nice and helpful. I understood her teaching very well. Bio is a hard class itself, but if you take advantage of the clicker quiz and do well on labs, it will help your grade. Test are a little tough but study her bonus questions and that helps. Read the book!! Read the test article too, easy points.
Almost willing to bend over backwards to make sure her students succeed if they put forth the effort. Willing to accomindate people with disabilities easily. Overall this instructor is worth seeking for this class.
VERY HARD TO PASS UNLESS YOU ALREADY UNDERSTAND BIOLOGY WHEN YOU REGISTER FOR THE CLASS. THE INSTRUCTOR IS VERY FAST PACED AND DOESN'T EXPLAIN THINGS WELL. HER TESTS ARE VERY HARD AND SUPER TRICKY. THE TESTS ALSO COVER A MASSIVE AMOUNT OF MATERIAL, SO STUDYING FOR THEM TAKES A WEEK! NOT AT ALL LENIENT, BUT DOES GIVE EXTRA CREDIT.
Mrs Ebbole is my favorite science teacher. This class is absolutely hard, but worth taking. She is highly intelligent and a nice lady.
She's not clear in her lectures, didn't give examples. We never had reviews for exams. When I dropped her class, hardly anyone was passing. She wanted us to learn straight from the book, but I wanted to actually be taught as well!!!
She's not clear in her lectures, didn't give examples. We never had reviews for exams. When I dropped her class, hardly anyone was passing. She wanted us to learn straight from the book, but I wanted to actually be taught as well!!!
Very unclear in lectures. Test are crazy hard.
Not Clear in lecture. extremley hard exams
this is a class you will need to study for but ebbole is a great teacher very helpful!!!
this is a class you will need to study for but ebbole is a great teacher very helpful!!!
not clear. she is a great person, but the tests are really hard, and does not prepare you.
DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE WITH HER. She is absolutely awful. I am a communications major and she sets expectations and guidelines as if the class is full of science majors. She moves way too fast through the lecture and erases the information as soon as she is done. I practically taught myself everything in this class. She helped me with nothing.
Took Ebbole for Bio 1406 during the summer. She is very knowledgeable on the subject matter. She's willing to help you out with any questions. Puts TONS on info on ecampus including Tegrity reviews that are very helpful. Exams are a little tough but watch the Tegrity reviews and study notes/lecture slides/concept maps & you'll do fine.
This professor is extremely helpful. She posts just about everything you need to know for the test online. As long as you write down what she puts of the board and study for the tests using the resources she gives you, the class is a easy A.
she is very nice but it is a very difficult class. The exams are very hard and very tricky. They cover like 5 chapters each and you have to know alot of information. you have to read the textbook and the power points she posts before every class and you may make a B
I loved Ms.Ebbole, she was so nice and did everything to help you succeed. She is very passionate about Biology and loves her students. If you study and utilize the resources she supplies for you, you can expect to leave her class with an A.
Mrs.Ebbole was fantastic. She really knows her material and gives you everything you need to succeed. multiple sources to study from and recordings and such. Its not and easy class but I really enjoyed it (and I hated biology prior to her class). Shes more than helpful and if she were teaching another class I was taking Id try to get her again.
TESTS ARE CRAZY HARD. I would not recommend this class at all.
There is a lot of material to cover and the tests are difficult. I got better at the tests as the semester went on. She curved some grades on tests and gives you opportunity to do extra credit to help your grade. She gives online materials to study. Very organized.
Do not recommend. she tries to be helpful but isn't very good at it and she is extremely hard.
She cares more about staying on schedule than make sure we are understanding the material. Usually runs lecture into lab time, and has gone through a whole chapter in half of lab in order to finish on schedule. Reads straight from the slide, can't explain anything except how it's presented on the slide show. Exams difficult - but 100% lecture based
I would suggest another teacher but if u are stuck with her, just really pay attention in class and study for the tests a little bit each week. HW is easy but the tests are extremely difficult. It's beneficial to do the online hw assignments before lecture that way you have a basic understanding of the material and u r less likely to be confused.
Anatomy is a tough class yes, but she tries everything she can do to help you succeed. It's your option to accept it or not. She really does care for her students and is an extremely sweet person. She puts helpful sites on ecampus. She replaced our lowest test grade with our final which was great.
Mrs. Ebbole was a great teacher. Yes, Anatomy is a very hard subject and will require a lot of time and studying, but Mrs. Ebbole tries her best to teach you it. She gives learning objectives after every chapter, which really helped me out A LOT! Once you're done in lab, you can leave early (which was nearly every day) She also drops grades!!!
I think Ebbole is a good prof and during class you have to be patient for her to get around to you when participating in lab projects. Remember she is merely one person compared to 25-30 students in her class. She has power-points you can look at but I would advise that anything she writes down during lecture you should write down as well.
Feels like every test is target practice. A TON of material. Doesn't give extra credit at all. Long lectures, babbler. Rough class. Doesn't provide full clarity to questions.
Overall, A&P is just a tough subject, but it's interesting. That being said, I feel like she uses this class to make students going into the medical field question their abilities and career path. The expectations are unrealistic for students taking a full schedule. You will be teaching yourself the material, lectures are good for review.
Professor Ebbole is a great person! Like seriously one of the best professors that I know! But her class is no joke! All her tests are CRAZY hard and almost impossible! There were only like 10 people left at the end of the semester! So if you want to learn a lot then take her! But if you just need a good grade, I would pick a different professor!
Choosing her as your instructor should be your very last resort. Lecture and lab are scheduled back to back and because of that, she flies through A LOT of material. Expect to stay in lecture the full 75 mins. This class is also 10x harder if you have a full schedule. The average grade in her class is a C so id highly recommend taking someone else
Professor Ebbole is an AMAZING professor that does her best to help you learn!! I wish I could take her for A&P II. That being said, this class is pretty difficult. Get ready to put in a lot of effort to pass, about 1/3 of our class dropped and the average grade is a low C.
This is a hard class in general, however I would highly recommend her! She provides so much helpful info and study tools and truly enjoys teaching. She is very clear, helpful, and lets you switch your lowest test grade with the final at the end. She is quick on emails and is very kind. She does have a very strict ABC line though. Missed it by 1%.
Probably the most helpful professor I have had. She always responds to emails very fast. She always tell you what to expect. Anatomy is very hard, and her test are very detailed, but if you study hard she will help you out. She gives you extra credit at the end to help your grade. I highly recommend her. Expect a lot of quizzes, had one everyday.
Mrs. Ebbole is very passionate about Anatomy, she's very nice and is always there to help you. There's lab quizzes almost every day (not hard), and online homework for every chapter. For exams, I recommend focusing ONLY on the Learning Objectives at the end of each lecture slideshow. Keep the Learning Obj. notes written/typed to study for final.
DO THE LEARNING OBJECTIVES! Study using Visible Body. There are quizzes over every single lab! Study all of the figures in your lab book! She's a great prof. and she makes sure you have all the study materials you need.
Awesome awesome professor!!! she's very passionate about anatomy and really cares about her students. very nice and great teacher.
My favorite professor I've had in college. She is very kind & wants you to succeed. Anatomy is a hard course in general, but she makes it as easy as possible. She does give quizzes every lab period, but they are not difficult. She doesn't take attendance every week, but you will be extremely lost if you skip. I would HIGHLY recommend her!
When she teaches she uses everyday language when she test it is not written the same.
I have throughly enjoyed this class! A&P itself is difficult material, so you have to put in time and effort. Ms. E cares about her students and makes the class interesting. My biggest advice would be to complete the learning objectives she provides. I would take her again!
I took Mrs. Ebbole for Anatomy and Physiology 1 and despite it being an intro level course, the class was crazy hard! To put it bluntly, you had to learn exactly 80 learning objectives in 20 days flat, which was impossible. Her classes are lecture heavy and boring and she really makes you consider your ability in the med field. Crazy hard tests!
Professor Ebbole is by far the best Anatomy 1 professor I have ever had at Blinn! Her class is hard but once you take her first two test you will get the hang of how her test are going to be formatted and what you need to focus on when studying. She does talk really fast, but you can meet with her after class to ask questions. She is really great!
i loved Professor Ebbole as a person, and she's super sweet. her class is extremely hard though, but some people get it. i wasn't one to easily understand everything. she's an awesome teacher for fast paced learners, and she talks super fast. make sure you write down everything she says, and study everyday!!!
I took Ebbole for Anatomy and I'd have to say that her class was incredibly hard. Her lecture covers every little detail about the human body and if you don't study everything, you will fail. Lab Quizzes almost every week that require lots of memorization to pass. Overall, a hard class. Most of my class Q Dropped due to bad grades on exams.
Great professor overall. I retook this course to try to get a better grade a second time around. Having a good professor made all the difference for me. The tests aren't easy but come to class and do her learning objectives to study and you'll be ok! There are other opportunities to improve your grade such as quizzes and group lab work.
Would not recommend this professor. The tests are crazy hard and even if you study you still Will fail the exams. I dont know where she gets her questions from. There is a quiz every class and you cover so much information its crazy. Hardest class ever. I worked hard and it didnt even pay off. Take someone else.
What a great professor! Ms. Ebbole does her part as a helpful teacher and like any other biology professor, will not hand feed you your grade. This class requires A LOT of studying and effort. You will not just squeak by and do okay. I would recommend Ms. Ebbole to anyone, she's very helpful and truly cares about her students and the material.
Tons of lecture, exams are super hard. No reviews are given in this course, mainly objectives to learn. This class in general is tons of information, but Professor Ebbole tends to go really fast, and once you go over something more than likely it won't be covered again. You must take tons of responsibility of knowing this class.
She's a very caring person, but pushes you to succeed. Listen carefully to her lectures because what she says and writes on the board are important for exams. If you have trouble, she is always available during office hours. The class was mildly difficult, but you can pass with a good deal of effort.
Ms. Ebbole is a great professor but you have to give quite a bit of effort in order to make a B at best. She lectures from the very beginning of class until the end and goes fast so you have to make sure you are catching everything she says. No extra credit is offered and the tests are VERY HEAVY.
Prof Ebbole is one of the best professors I've had at Blinn! TAKE HER. A&P is a hard class and you have to study all the time, but she helps you soooo much and provides a lot of resources. Very sweet and tells you exactly what you need to know.
professor Ebbole was one of the best anatomy professors Ive had. If you go to her office hours she will help you Try and better understand the material, because she knows herself that she goes fats during lectures so she doesnt mind going over material with you. Her test are very detailed but I believe by doing her learning objectives youll pass
Really hard class!!! But really good teacher, all you have to do is take notes and listen. Study like crazy and i promise youll pass. She is very accomidating about office hours and questions. May want a tutor if you are a slow learner., class moves pretty fast.
students complain about how this professor is bad but they're just bad at the class. Anatomy is a hard class an you have to put in a lot effort to do well BUT Ebbole gives you all the resources in the world to succeed. Practice quizzes are the same as real quizzes, tests are based 100% on learning objectives. Listen to what she tells u 4 an A
This class is hard and time consuming, BUT Ebbole provided everything needed to succeed. Start filling out those learning objectives early and review them- watch the Tegrity recordings she posts. She will bend over backwards to try to help her students. Her email responses were lightening fast. Utilize her office hours! Super caring and supportive!
Ebbole was very nice and cared about her students, but the content is just so much to take in. She does not give targeted reviews, which would be fine if the learning objectives helped review for the test. LECTURE HEAVY!!! TESTS ARE HARD!! dont take this class if you don't study.
Ms. Ebbole is a great lecturer, is very experienced, and cares about every student. Those that have given bad reviews don't understand the rigor of A&P courses or haven't yet learned how to study. I already had a Master's degree from Texas A&M when I took this course and it was one the hardest I've ever taken - so choose your professor wisely.
Super tough class but Ebbole is a great professor -- I learned a lot! She gives you all the resources you need to be successful. She is organized, a quick grader, and responds to emails fast. Go to her office hours!!!! I watched her tegrity recordings and took thorough notes on those before lecture.
This class is very difficult due to the fact that there is so much content in each chapter. The tests are very detailed and it is very difficult to get an A. The professor is great, but you really have to study for this class.
She is very straight-forward about what she expects from you and how well you do in her class. Very organized and very helpful on any questions you may have. One of the best professors I've ever had.
The absolute worst professor I can imagine. Will not go the extra mile or even the initial mile to help you if youre struggling. Class average of exams in the 50s. Doesnt know a single bit of extra information outside of the lecture. Has one way of explaining things and if you dont get it that way she will just repeat what she said.
Lots o material to learn but amazing teacher, cares about your grades and learning experience
Super sweet, but this is my 2nd time taking her and nothing has changed. The info given to study for a test is WAY TOO broad. What she told us to study was not even on the test. Extra credit is not even an option because its not fair to other students, even thought that' the whole point of it.? Having to change my major because of this class!!
DO NOT TAKE HER IF YOU DONT HAVE TO! She is the worst teacher I have ever taken she does not explain anything good and she does not give you the right things to study. All the test averages on the test were anywhere from40-50's! She will not give you any extra credit
If you put in the effort required, you'll do well. I make 30-40 points above the class average every test. People who give bad reviews just don't know how to study in this class and blame her. I only study for tests the day of (watch her tegrity recordings!!), yet I'm able to do well because she's a good professor. &Lab quizzes are grade boosters.
Prof Ebbole is awesome!! Get ready to STUDY though! You cover A LOT of material but she provides you with EVERYTHING you need to succeed in this class. Explains things thoroughly, is extremely helpful, organized, a quick grader, and responds to emails fast. Has tegrity recordings online, easy hw & lab quizes! Really enjoyed taking her class!
A&P is hard, period. Her lectures are detailed and clear. She makes herself very accessible and responds to emails quickly. Follow the study cycle instructions she gives you on the first day of class. I failed the first exam, switched my study habits to what was in the handout and finished with an A. She makes you work for it but wants you to pass
A&P is a super hard class to begin with but Diane knows this and helps you every chance possible. I have never had a professor that works so hard to help her students succeed. She gives you online recordings of lectures, practice questions and quizzes and tons opportunities to boost your grade. Its hard and you have to work for it but its doable.
I loved this prof. She doesn't make you feel dumb if you don't know something, gives you a lot of study materials and really wants you to pass. This is a hard course so you have to put in the work but she really helps you. She curved the final and drops a lot of low grades. Would definately take her.
Anatomy & Physiology is an insanely hard class but this professor WANTS you to pass, and provides you with any and all material required to do it. You absolutely have to put in the work if you want to pass, but she sets you up for success throughout the whole semester. She is always willing to help with whatever you need. Wonderful professor.
I loved this teacher! I took her 8 week A&P and although it was extremely hard, difficult and all of the above; it was all worth it. I promise you will love her. She does expect you to do your hw and work hard, but that's every college class. She'll help you, you just have to ask!
Took her for an 8-week A&P1, obviously a difficult class so you have to work hard, but she made it so doable. Clear expectations, and gave lots of material to help study. Practice quizzes you can take repeatedly with same questions as quiz and gave the best examples/mnemonics to help us remember things. Got an A and loved class, best prof ever.
I thought she was wonderful in the beginning of the semester. Her lectures are long and none of it is ever on the test. She gives no guided study material, its all up to you. She makes a difficult class 20x more difficult for absolutely no reason. Good human. Bad professor. My entire class average was failing and almost half already dropped.
The best & sweetest professor I have ever had in my 3 years of college. This was an 8 wk AP1 course & I had just switched to a nursing major at the beginning of the 16 wk sem. This class, and the prof of course, really got me engaged, interested & excited that I switched my major. I'd take her for AP2. She also rewarded us with a treat every Friday
Professor Ebbole is one of my favorite professors at Blinn, the way we learned was through the use of models and for someone who's profoundly deaf, it was a game changer. There's also video lectures and the hw, quiz, and tests are a breeze if you do the reading and listening .
Prof. Ebbole is one of the sweetest professors I have ever had. A&P is HARD, but she gives you so many resources, you just need to put in the work and STUDY to get the grade you want. Her lectures are clear and easy to understand. She truly cares about every one of her students, and replies to emails quickly. TAKE HER, but don't expect an easy A.
Don't get me wrong, she is a very good professor. Very tough tho... If you are not familiar with Biology than you better study extra harder!
Would not recommend anyone to take her class during a pandemic! She is not good with technology and there has been occasions where the online students cannot hear her and she's muted us so we cannot tell her and eventually miss lecture material. The fluidity of her lecture slides and what chapters she lectures about are all over the place!
Ok.. the class itself is very difficult. ANY anatomy course is going to be hard. This is not a course that you just are given an A or even B. There are lots of exams and she doesnt give extra credit, but she does round up some grades at the end of the course. She is SUCH a nice lady and really cares. An A is possible if you REALLY put in the work.
I will give Professor Ebbole some grace because I took A&P 1 during a covid semester. However, the class is very reliant on lecture material and the exams are extremely difficult. Memorizing ALL learning objectives is required if you want to receive a decent grade in this class. Lab exams are fairly easy, but little extra credit is given to help.
I would take her again. She is a great teacher, she gives you all the tools to pass the class. This is anatomy class, it is not meant to be easy, you have to put in some work for your grade.
Professor Ebbole is the sweetest, she is so caring and is willing to help. She is quick to respond to emails. She can't curve but will drop test questions for a higher grade for exams. Its a hard class , so keep up with your assignments. Take her, again it's a hard class she will explain to you and help you.
One of the hardest classes I have ever had!! She is super sweet and cares for her student and I loved her class the only problem is the test are exactly like the lecture videos and it was just too much information to study in a short amount of time but if you study hard you should pass!
If you have to take A&P take her! She is such a good prof and gives you everything you need to pass the class. You will have to study hard and religiously, but it is so worth it. I couldve made an A easily, but I slacked off on studying for the last 2 exams and that brought my grade down. Shes fun and loves what she does! & drops lots of grades!
10/10 Recommend choosing her, she really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. I didn't watch all the lectures and study as much as I should have but she gives you all the tools to make an A. I really enjoyed being in her class and I will definitely be choosing her again if I decide to retake the class for a higher grade.
She was a great professor! I took this course blended and definitely struggled the whole time! The tests are very hard and I didn't pass a single lecture test but still ended with a B. Watch all of the lecture videos, and taking notes in class was very beneficial. She gives a lot of extra credit, so take advantage! She also drops alot of grades!!
Professor Ebbole was by far the most compassionate professor I've ever had. When I had a medical emergency she checked up on me and made sure I was successful. Very hard class, but she gives you every resource necessary to be successful in anatomy. I highly recommend her, and I would 1000% take her again.
Dr. Ebbole is an amazing professor! This was her first semester teaching Biol 2402 so she was a little all over the place. She defiantly would not dumb down her lectures and talked like we all had a PhD in biology. She would lecture in lab so that meant barely any time for the labs. She will get more comfortable with it over time though.
Great professor overall. Cares for her students, lectures were very heavy, and lecture exams were harder. You most definitely have to study hard to get a good grade. The class was not easy, but I would take her class again.
I LOVE HER! A&P is a hard class but with her it was bearable. She gives voluntary study quizes and practice tests that are a huge help. If you get at least a 70% on her practice tests before the exam she give FIVE WHOLE POINTS to your exam grade. This has pushed me over to an A from a B multiple times and is so worth it! I'd take her again for sure
Amazing professor, but this class is a lot of work (obviously). Use her objectives as a study guide, and do all the assignments, and you will be fine!
talks non stop without seeing if we understand. Attendance is not mandatory but you will fail if you dont go to lab. 60% of the grade is exams. most people fail. she is very nice but the way the class is set up sucks. this is for sure a class to weed people out. some extra credit and she does drop grades
Great professor, extremely hard class
I felt taking her class was the first time I truly learned how to learn. She is very caring, lectures can be fast but it's fascinating subject. She was easily accessible, responded to my emails promptly, and was there for her office hrs. Read, stay on top of quiz due dates, go to class, do study guides, watch YT videos, and you will be fine!
Hardest class I have ever taken, very sweet lady though, would def take her again and would recommend for anyone that needs A&P1
I truly learned a lot in this class, however, there are SO many assignments, 120 to be exact. The exams are difficult but doable and weighted heavily. I studied so much for this class. There are also proctored lab quizzes in every lab class that you must study for. She does drop a lot of grades and offers extra credit for all of the exams!
Overall Prof E was a very kind and caring professor. She uploads both lecture and lab videos online so I would basically rely on those for notes because she would just go way too fast in person. Lab exams are pretty straight forward but her lecture exams are TOUGH. This class was exceptionally challenging but I would recommend taking it w/Prof E.
TAKE HER! If you are willing to put in some study hours and focus on this course you will do FINE!! Her lab exams are super hard not to make a high grade on if you just study the material. Lecture exams are more difficult but getting a high grade is not impossible if you try!!! She provides GREAT study material! And 5 bonus points on all exams!
I loved this class! Professor Ebbole made taking A&P so fun! It isn't a blow-off class, but no A&P class is. Just make sure to do all your work and study for exams and you will do fine. She is very caring and wants her students to do well. I would take her again!
Overall, a great professor who clearly knows her subject well. However, she tends to move through topics quickly. Lab exams are fairly easy, but the lecture exams are extremely difficult, though 5 bonus points are added to each exam. It's not an easy class, but it is manageable with effort.
Ebbole was an amazing person and cared for each of her students. The fast pace that Ebbole had throughout the semester didn't make the class any easier, however, if you choose to take professor Ebbole make sure you stay on top of your work, take lots of notes with both the Yuja videos and the books, as well as studying the learning objectives.
Fantastic Prof! I literally learned how to learn thanks to her! There is alot of material, but stay on it and you will be golden. There's lots of lab quizzes, one before and one after. Exams are very fair except when collab with other prof. Lectures online, best advice is go over them after class. Plenty of practice exams. An A is possible!
Professor Ebbole is AMAZING. I took this class as an online 5 week summer course and you definitely need discipline! There is a lot of info/HW, but as long as you are on top of it everyday and don't procrastinate, then you are fine. She provides so many practice exams/quizzes so an A is definitely possible!! Also, 5 bonus points on every test!!
Prof. Ebbole is a fantastic teacher and makes this very naturally difficult class as easy as possible for her students. She is very organized and there's no unnecessary work. Her checklists and resources provide you everything you need to be successful, as long as you are willing to sacrifice some of your time to learn the material and STUDY.
Professor Ebbole was one of the most caring and understanding professors I've ever had. Anatomy & Physiology 1 is tough as it is. But she made understandable reviews for exam's and the class was very interesting with experiments. I wish I would've taken the traditional course instead of blended, but it was okay. It did take a lot of time to study!
Professor Ebbole is amazing! The class is challenging, but she provides great study materials and resources. I found Unstuckstudy incredibly helpful for practice and exam prep. Stay on top of the fast pace, and you can definitely earn a good grade.
I took Ebbole for A&P1 & I was fortunate to take her again for A&P2! A&p is hard regardless, but she provides such great study materials & you can take all quizzes as many times as you want (diff questions each time) so that really helped me. She also adds 5 bonus points to all exams if you do her bonus assignments (amazing study tools). TAKE HER!!
Professor Ebbole is one of the best profs I've had. She communicates well and is straight forward. Her class is lecture heavy, but if you take the time to study efficiently, it is manageable. I had to retake her class to get a higher grade and I'm glad I did. The labs are enjoyable and she offers bonus points on every exam including the final.
This has been the most enjoyable college professor I have ever had, especially for an online class. Her lecture videos are great and her quizzes are VERY helpful for exams because you can take them a million times. I wouldn't recommend taking this course in a 5-week summer class if you have any obligations other than homework it is VERY heavy!
Great professor! She is so sweet and her lectures are super organized. This class is TOUGH for a 4.5 week course, but she makes it manageable. It is possible to get an A, she gives so many opportunities for extra credit. Use the "bonus exams" to help you study! FYI you have to take tests at testing center, not online!
I took this as a summer 5 week course, so the work load is very large. But, this professor is amazing and provides all the material that you need to be successful. As long as you keep up with the checklists for each day and study for the exams, it is very possible to end with an A. The exams are also very straightforward.
