Dr. Goodman was an excellent teacher. In her office hours she will read your paper and give you her honest opinions and feedback. She knew everyone's name in my class of 100 or so students. I was overall very impressed with her. She can be a little confusing at times, but she admits to that and is very honest with the students.

Professor Goodman is a tough grader but the essays are not that hard so you should be able to get at least a C. If you don't to go to class your grade will suffer a little a bit but she makes class interesting enough that it isn't a struggle to go. I recommend her as a teacher because she will help if you ask for the help.

Though Professor Goodman is very clear with her expectations and the class in general is easy, her persona is terrible. She is utterly obsessed with herself and makes it apparent. She will often share how great she is and why she is above everyone else in the room. Yes, she earned her degree and yes, she is an excellent writer, but come on!

If you're planning to major in English Dr. Goodman is the step in the right direction. Not only is she the greatest professor in all of history but she is also a prominent figure in our community. She's crystal clear, undestanding, will remember who you are, entertaining and is super dank in general. So good that I took 106 with her in 2nd sem!

Dr. Goodman is one of the best English teachers I've had. Her grading is very easy and if you show up to class you'll be fine. Don't use your phone or laptop while she's talking or she'll get very upset. Also, she's a Cleveland Browns fans, so if you want to get on her good side tell her you're also a fan.

I took her for both English 105 and again for English 106 because i enjoyed her class so much.

She is hilarious! Super chill, only 3 essays all semester. Go in and see her after you receive your grade on an essay because she will bump your grade up. Don't miss class though; she does participation points almost everyday. She makes class fun just do not be on your phone or looking down at your laptop when she is talking. She is my favorite! :)

personally I don't think she liked me much but the material was clear. She goes through everything that she is looking for in an essay and she takes participation points everyday. Also don't be in her morning classes unless you like speaking out loud because her morning classes are boring to her since people don't talk.

She is very clear about what she wants; just listen, she will repeat it multiple times. Write it down. Do it. Get 'A'. If you don't get the grade you want, make an appointment to talk to her. If you have participated in class and she knows you, chances are she'll raise your grade. Participation points are taken almost every class so do not skip!

She's an awesome teacher! She actually helps us write our papers in class instead of doing busy work, and will work with you outside of class as well. She doesn't grade super hard, but you do have to actually try obviously. She likes to get to know her students and is very personable. She's also pretty funny. She also always lets us out early.

Dr. Goodman is an awesome professor! She will work with you outside of class to help you get better grades on papers, & the in class work is not busy work and actually helps build your papers. She also allows you to meet with her after you get a grade back on a paper that you're not happy with, & if she agrees with your case, she will give pts back

Dr. Gooman is a great professor, she truly cares about her students' success. She is very easy to set up a meeting with and she gives you really helpful feedback on the papers. Make sure to have her read your rough drafts!! She helps you so much so if you have her read it over before turning it in there is no way you can get a bad grade on the paper

I love Dr. Goodman! She has a great sense of humor and reminds me a lot of the cool English teachers you'd have in high school. She helped a lot with essays and it was almost impossible to have a bad grade if you showed up and turned in the work.

I took 2 classes with Dr. Goodman and got A's both times. Show up to class and you'll get full participation. But don't worry, she almost never keeps you for the entire class period. She gives great feedback on all 3 essays written throughout the semester and if you go to her office hours, you have a great chance at getting an A. I recommend her!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!! SUCH A NICE PROFESSOR. She takes the time to get to know every single one of her students. You spend all your classes writing a portion of the essay that you will turn in. Overall the class is easy, if you're hesitant about anything, Dr. Goodman is more than happy to go over your paper with you during her office hours.

Come into class and stay through the whole thing to avoid a little talk; you will receive participation points and clear instructions to getting an A. She is interesting and your paper should be good if you go and ask for suggestions before turning it in!

Dr. Goodman is a decent teacher, but really allows herself to help outside of class. She is a really understanding teacher and if you work hard, you can get an A. I would recommend taking this class if you are willing to put in the effort and be sure to attend class.

She's such a funny person and while it may be a selective type of humor, it isn't hard to listen to her. She's very engaged and literally walks through all the essays with you so if you fail, that's on you. She genuinely wants her students to get good grades and provides help to do so. And she rarely keeps you the whole time so that's also rad.

She spent time making sure our essays were basically written in class so you had less homework. She was funny and very easy to listen to when she gave lectures. Dr. Goodman cares and wants everyone to get an A. You can make this easily possible by attending class and also seeing her in the office, where she makes herself accessible to students. Pay attention, listen to her details and jokes, stay for the whole time (unless she lets out early which normally she does), and its an easy course.

Dr. Goodman wants her students to succeed in ENG 105. There were only 3 papers in the class and that determines the grade in the class. She explains instructions very well and tells you what you need to get an "A". She was always willing to help me and give me feedback on my papers in appointments. I highly recommend her.

Professor Goodman was easily my favorite teacher! Many people say that she is too full of herself, conceited, etc. Honestly, I think she is hilarious. I almost never went to her class and ended the class with a B. Honestly, show up to class and you'll pass. Oh and you will get out like 30 minutes early every day. This professor is awesome! Yes, she can get off topic, but she has so much knowledge and insight. I would take any class with her in a heartbeat! Only those who actually want to learn and can take criticism/feedback will succeed. To me, she was inspiring as an English/Lit. major. Go to her outside of class, and she will help you out!

Dr. Godman was great and she taught very well. Her and I had multiple meetings in order for me to get the grades I was wanting! Super old fashioned and she learns your name. My only issue with her is that she read my paper and told me to fix x y and z and after doing so I didn't get my A that she said I would.

Goodman is such an amazing professor! I had her for my first semester of Eng-105 and decided to jump into her class for the second semester! She is kind, funny, engaging, understanding, and great at teaching her course without making it dry or draining! She has a great spirit and truly cares to help her students succeed in her class!

Hands-down one of the best professors at GCU. She makes her classes easy to pass, so that there is no stress, this enables the students to learn more and be able to focus on actually learning a lot instead of worrying about getting a good grade. No exams or tests, only 4 essays throughout the semester and she walks you through each step in your essays. She is funny and nice.

Professor Goodman was awesome. She took participation points every day in class, so if you want the points, you have to come to class. We had to write 3 essays. She'd go over every part of the essay in class and gives you time in class to write the whole essay. She also helps you in class and gives you points back if you go to her office hours.

Dr. Goodman goes the extra mile in explaining what is expected, then goes a second mile to make sure everyone understands. She very much wants to set everyone up for success in how they write papers for the rest of college, and is very good at having you develop the bulk of your papers in class.

With also being very understanding that what time it was. She says a lot of dad jokes which helps with waking up in the morning. 11/10 would recommend!!!

Assignments are super easy and she lays out everything you need to do very clearly. she definitely wants you to pass. however she is extremely annoying to listen to. if you have her, you can get an A pretty easily

Super clear and she's there for you when you need it, make sure to attend class because she does take participation. Sometimes she even lets you out 30 min before class ends. Super nice and funny and she will help you when you need it, she won't make you feel stupid. I would definitely take her again.

Professor Goodman is fantastic at what she does and is very respectful to her students regardless of if they choose to engage in group projects / lectures. Prof Goodman never makes an effort to embarrass students and always ensures more than one chance to succeed in her class. 10/10 will be taking Goodman again in the future.

Doctor Goodman has been my favorite professor at Grand Canyon University. You feel so valued in her class! I actually enjoyed participating in her discussions, she never made anyone feel dumb and valued all ideas! I also learned SO MUCH and grew A TON as a writer. She actually made me like the subject. A gem. You are so lucky to have her.

Professor Goodman admits shes a horrible teacher because she is so laid back and half of the time doesn't even know whats going on. She gives 3 paper he first semester for your freshman year and basically allows you to fail the first one if you get A on the other 2. She lets you turn in work late and a fairly easy grader!

One of my favorite professors at GCU. Class is lecture and discussion heavy. Read assigned readings because she won't hesitate to call on you during discussion. Very understanding, reasonable, and funny. You literally do the work in class, and she tells you what she expects. She does not go hard on you if you struggle with writing or English. If you don't get a good score on your essays that is simply your fault because you did not put the work in.

There are mainly just 3 essays in the class, and you can easily get 100% on all of them if you just follow her instructions. She may come off as mean sometimes, but her intentions mean well. Just make sure you follow her guidelines exactly. She provides many resources on how to do so.

Professor Goodman was super easy to reach and communicate with, which I appreciated from an online perspective. The discussion questions seemed a bit pointless overall, and I would have appreciated some more guidance for tests, but I made it through. As far as online classes go, this one wasn't unbearable.
