She's pretty cool & all; however, I guess at the time I took her, she seemed a bit confusing at explaining things that I had to drop the class. My recommendation would be to take McRee at Central Campus. He's an adjunct teacher, but one of the best. Very easy & super cool. Made a B in his class.

This teacher is fairly easy, she acts out history in her class. Her test is easy, it is essay format so if you knw the material there is NO WAY you can fail her test. I liked it bc there was of her testing method and teaching style.

Excellent Professor. She has so much knowledge about the subject is ridiculous! And she adds in stories too of her own experiences in various countries and cultures. I'd definitely take her again. She lays things out too so you know how to prepare for her tests and other assignments. Just get ready to do some writing for her exams!

Dr. Heafer is totally awesome. I took her in the Summer and for Winter Mini. She make the class very very interesting. She has so much knowledge regarding History. She definately clarifies all doubts. I highly recommend this instructor. She offers extra credit and her test are from her notes. Her test consist of essays and vocabulary.

She is a very into her history and it kind of makes me laugh because she sets over excited. Tests are pretty much straight from the notes but a very good prof.

This woman is crazy about History! She's loves it, and has tons of stories. She's traveled to almost every place she's disussed. She does tend to ramble A LOT, which can put you to sleep if she's not talking about something interesting. At first I was nervous about her tests -- basically all essay. As long as you take notes, you'll do fine!

She absolutely loves History! She does tend to ramble but its worth the easiness of the class. Just take notes and you ace the class.

She was Great! I was lost at first about what to study, but if you take notes and due the terms it's easy to ace her class. She is a lively teacher and I think if she had not of taught that way I wouldn't of done so well.

Took her for for Summer 1&2. Very easy, she writes everything you need to know on the board. She elaborates on the important stuff. I didn't have to study very much because of the way she lectured,still I got A's in both classes. Read the assigned book! She gave reviews of what she might have on tests, what will be was obvious in lectures.THE BEST

I taken Mrs Heafers class during the summer it was alot of info to cover but she really knew her stuff. I didnt do so well on the first test but once I noticed what she wanted on the test they were easy she lets you choose the question you want to answer which makes it easier.Alot of notes but I would recommened Mrs Heafers class.

Really good professor! Will take her again for HIST 1302. Easy test if you study. Always write down the notes on the board (Will be Most definetly on the test). And listen to her stories,their important. they help on the test!

I love Dr. Heafer! This professor obviously has a passion for history. She incorporates a lot of personal stories into her lectures that keep you very interested. Her test are not difficult, straight out of the notes. Take her, she's a sweet lady who's more than open to help if youre lost.

Crazy teacher. Gets really excited over history and its awesome. tests are over class notes with little to no question from book. 2 tests, 1 research paper, 1 test over a supplementary book, and the final are all the grades.

Best teacher ever. She is very dramatic when it comes to her stories. Her lectures are more of a story type so she keeps you interested. I am taking her again for the second part. Must attend class and dont be late and turn off cell phones. I did not use my book at all and pass her class with A. Gives you a research paper, and its a piece of cake.

I thought about dropping this class but I ended up really liking it.I took her for 1301 and she is very interesting.do not miss any days.she makes history very fun and interesting.I could have made a better grade but did not apply myself as much as i could have.I would not buy the book. she does make you read the s book but just google it.

Great teacher. Makes class interesting. No homework! Wants you to read chapters but test are all on what she lectures on in class. For a 7am class she keeps us all awake with her re-enactments. I love her class and hope to take her for 1302.

This lady makes you want to come to class. So clear when explainning each topic. What she lectures comes on each test. It was easy making an A+ in this winter mini. She is high reccomended. She basically tells you each topic to study for the test too. Take her now peeps.

I honestly recommend this teacher she is amazing really. She is very helpful. I took her class on the 3 week mini piece of cake made an A. Her test were not multiple choice so you do need to study for the test if you study you will get a good grade if not well you will get a sucky grade. 4 test and 1 paper. Take her!!! :)

attend every class and you can get away without a book, that is if you don't want to earn the extra credit points on the tests by reading the small sections assigned. she keeps your attention making the class more interesting.

Probably the BEST professor I have EVER had!! Very passionate about history. Her lectures were not really lectures but entertaining stories about what happened in the world many hears ago. I took her at 7am in the morning, which is terribly early for me. But her passion and excitement helped me to want to listen to her and I finished with an A!

Dr. Heafer is the absolute best! She is a walking textbook! she knows the material front and back. she explaines very well, what is expected is very clear. attend each class you dont want to miss her lectures! I passed with an A!all test are written no multiple choice, but if you study the material you will pass!!!

She teaches straight from the book, but that doesnt mean you have to readt the textbook. She really loves teaching and makes fun stories with the lectures. And a amazing thing about her is that she gives you the test before the actual test, so A LOT of time to study.

This professor makes history interesting and then relates to modern day occurrences. Textbook isn't attached to a chain on your leg,but you still need from time to time. Never have I met someone so passionate about history. At first I did not care about history at all, but she liked history so much that I started paying more attention, and I saw the importance of it.

Ms. Heafer almost makes me want to be a history teacher! She's so funny and she explains everything really well. They key to me, making 100s on the tests was I would record the lecture on my phone and I would listen to them all before the test to get my mind refreshed. Easy A, just make sure you take notes and go to class.

Ms. Heafer was a great teacher. She lectures the whole class, but doesn't give you ANY homework! Take advantage and read! She is old, but know what she's talking about and has a book in her HEAD! She knows all the history by memory, which is amazing! Remember, if you don't study, you will not pass!!!!

By far my favorite Professor i've had at the san Jacinto college north. He is hilarious, informative, and just having him as a teacher alone has made me consider becoming a history major. you can tell he really enjoys telling the stories. As long as you take notes and ask questions you will pass. Also don't buy the book. you will NEVER use it.

5/5! Shes so nice and makes history stick to your head. Textbook is more for reference she gives you an outline of what to study for test. She loves teaching and often pretends to be historical people which I enjoy because its like watching a one man play and it sticks to your head. I will never forget her class!

Because of her, I'm not going to school to teach history. She's the perfect history teacher. She makes it so interesting, it's so good that when class ends, it's a bummer. I usually recorded her lectures on my phone, then listened to them like it was music a week before the tests.

Best History Professor I have ever taken! No Homework, just 4 tests that count towards your grade. A knowledgeable professor who knows about her stuff without reading off a powerpoint slide. Very sweet and would definitely take her again!

Prof. Heafer is one of the best teachers I've had! She's very knowledgeable and her lectures are always engaging. Her tests are all writing but not difficult if you pay attention in class. She is pretty lenient on grading and will give you partial credit as long as you put in some effort. Definitely recommend!

Her lectures are like stories. Her outlines reflect on what her exams are based on. All her exams are open ended but that shouldn't be a problem if you attend class regularly. She's an amazing prof, if i could take her again i would!

Professor Heafer was very entertaining in her lectures although she would ramble on about her personal stories & lose track of time she still was a pretty good professor. As long as you pay attention when she speaks & read the textbook, the class will be an easy A.

She's a very nice lady! she offers 10 extra credit points on test but you have to study since it comes for the worksheets she hands out. She has you read a book and take a test on it so be ready to read! There is also an essay but it is super easy and she lets you know in advanced!

Super passionate about history so her lectures are great. But she's extra with exams, she scrambles the class and makes you sit apart from each other. Exams have like 10 multiple-choice and then a lot of writing, one-page essay and about 5 questions asking you to describe a topic in 4 sentences and bonus questions. My hand would literally cramp up.

This woman knows her history big time. She has everything in her head and does not use powerpoints. The lecture is amazing for this reason. She does make you write a lot in her test but shes a lenient grader so if you show effort, this class should be an easy A.

Im truly going to miss professor Heafer when she retires she was one of the greatest history professors in San Jac even though her class requires you to read and study hard (7+hrs a day) it was worth it. She made me love history! I recommend you taking her when you dont have a lot of classes left because it requires a lot of memorization.
