Ms. Kelly is a GREAT teacher! She explains everything clearly and is very funny. She gives extra credit opportunities in every section. Drops lowest test score. But PLEASE do not take advantage of her, some ppl think she's so nice & they don't show up or do homework. It only hurts your grade if you do that. She's cool, but she's no dummy! TAKE HER!

Professor Kelly was fantastic. Great humor to hold your attention during the course. Very clear on explaining to material. Great on providing examples on board and projector. Overall very thorough and keeps class together on the same page. Impossible to fail her class!

Very good teacher. Cares about her students and believes in what she teaches. All quizzes are take home. Plenty of extra credit offered. Text book is not mandatory to have but all the extra assignments are from the book.

Mrs. K is an awesome instructor! She is very clear in her explanations of the mth problems. I am not great in math but she made it very easy to grasp the areas that were more difficult! If you have a hard time in math take her because you will learn and understand the problems.

Mrs. Kelly is okay... If I could do it all over I would have taken someone else. Last semester I had Mrs. Belcher who was amazing. Mrs. Kelly teaches her notes through powerpoints which I feel makes it confusing and too fast. If you are not great at math and need lots of note taking time I would suggest taking someone else.

I'm not going to lie, I've struggled with math for years. All of the suddenly though, I understand Algebra thanks to this teacher. She's the best! I've maintained a solid A in her class, and I'm definitely going to take her for College Algebra.

For one who struggles in math, I found this class fairly simple. Homework was optional (but always do it- you will find it helps a lot on the tests), quizzes were online, and she drops the lowest test score. Very funny, down-to-earth lady. She, also, answers emails within minutes of sending them. TAKE HER!

Mrs Kelly is an awesome professor. She will help you in any way that she can. She loves to teach and it shows. She is a very intelligent women and funny. The material in college algebra was difficult for me as were all other math classes. She test fair, and allows for some extra credit.

Mrs. Kelly is AMAZING, by far the best Algebra teacher I've ever had, I failed this class before and now I'm passing AND actually understanding, class is laid back but you still get work done, planning on taking as many classes as I can with her!! TAKE HER!!!

Mrs. Kelly is an awesome teacher, even at 8 a.m. It doesn't matter how old you are, she's able to clearly communicate concepts on all levels. It was fun! I was worried about this class in the beginning of the semester, but now I am confident in my ability to take on more. That is a sign of an exceptional teacher.

As my first teacher in college she was fantastic. She was clear in her explanations and is patient with anyone who didn't understand anything. Easy to pass the class as long as you do most of the homework and all the review.

Diane Kelly is the best math teacher I've ever had. If math doesn't come easy to you, she will make sure you understand. Her tests and quizzes aren't overly difficult. She does use MyMathLab, but don't consider that a downfall to taking her. Ms. Kelly is funny and I love her!! Take her for College Algebra!!!

One of my favorite professors so far. She was very helpful, gave A LOT of extra credit (on tests if you do the homework from the book). I honestly have always hated any form of math and this was the first algebra class I have ever taken where I felt like I was understanding it. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

Hands down best teacher ever!!! Very nice teacher and is always there to help. I managed to miss my finals and she let me make up the next week. She actually listens to your disputes on test questions and I managed to get an A on a test from that. Very nice and helpful teacher. 1010.

I'm not good at math, but I did well. You need access to My Math Lab (which does a good job working you through the problems most of the time), but I didn't use the book. If you get stuck, Prof. Kelly will quickly email back with clear instructions. Do your homework and tests on time. Take them as many times as you can to get the best grade.

The material is tough. But she does her best to help you understand it. She will go out of her way to help you. Awesome Teacher.

Mrs. Kelly gives students every opportunity to succeed. It depends on how hard you want to work for it. She assigns opt. extra credit homework that applies directly to the tests. If you go to class for lecture and do the homework and extra credit you will get a good grade. She is available for questions via email anytime you have one. Even on Sunday she responds! She is crystal clear on what to expect on the tests. Best Math teacher I've ever had.

She's a wonderful teacher. I took MAT 1033 intermediate algebra and MAC 1105 college algebra with her and it's the first time I've liked math. It's the first time I felt confident in my math skills. I actually switched to a math major! She's funny. She'll help you if you ask for it. She gives some extra credit. Do the homework and you will pass.

Absolutely adore Mrs. Kelley! I had her for college Algebra loved her so much I took Statistics with her! Such an amazing teacher. Grades are based on Tests mostly. She is hilarious and makes subject easier to learn. MyMathLab sucks but do your homework and follow along and you cant fail!

Mrs. Kelly is an amazing teacher but be prepared for a lot of homework. If you don't do the homework you will not pass. The tests are pretty hard so make sure to go to the mathlab right before a test. It helped me a lot. Other then that she is really funny and explains everything very well. Professor Kelley is a dream! I was dreading stat and I suck at math, but I managed to get a high B. She gives extra credit and the tests aren't that bad at all. Her power points are awesome and gives you the formulas so you don't have to memorize them. Take her guys, seriously. There is way too many bad math teachers at hcc, trust me she's amazing.

I Couldn't of asked for a better Statistics professor. From a person who struggles with math she made stats as clear and understandable as possible. She is always willing to help and encourages all to ask for it if needed. Attend class especially for the test review dates and make sure you do all the homework/quizzes and you will do fine.

Very tough class, but she seems to actually care. Gives you plenty of tools to study with and things to practice with. The only thing that I didn't like was that the midterm and final were worth 60% of your grade and were under 30 questions in length. All that being said, she is fair. If you do the work and practice and you should be just fine!

I'm horrible at everything math and held of taking those credits as long as I could; as a result my final semester I ended up taking both college algebra and statistics with Mrs. Kelly. She really is the best. Her lectures are very clear and she's always available when you need help. By far one of (if not the best) teacher I had at HCC.

Felt she was awesome! I'm dyslexic so me and numbers are enemies naturally, however with her help she guided me through different avenues to figure out Statistics! I passed the lass with a hard earned 86B. Any future math classes that she teaches and I need, I'm choosing her! She's worth it and I love her style of teaching. REAL!

If you struggle with math and dread the subject msKelly is the one too take! She is extreamly helpful . Its A lot of work but the class is four credits not three, so expect homework. She added extra credit to each test if you do extra problems and show up to review day! this was very helpful! tests are very straighfoward and easy! Take her!

Took my first math class in 7 years with Mrs. Kelly. Couldn't ask for a better professor. She doesn't overcomplicate lessons and gives very clear, helpful instructions. Lots of homework because of my math lab but it's good practice. I passed with a high B, would've been an A if I had done all of the homework.

After trying (and failing) college algebra 5 times, I ended up getting an A in this class. Ms. Kelly is clear, hands out slides so you can follow along, and drops your lowest test, quiz, and homework grade. Also if you get an A average on the 4 tests for the semester you don't have to take the final. There is extra credit that makes the diff!!

I loved her so much. She's humorous very often and gives off a cool and chill vibe. The only bad thing about her is that she gives out a ton of homework, but it's only to help you practice what you learn in her lectures. Her exams aren't difficult and she offers extra credit! If you get A's on all 4 tests you get to skip the final. :)

I had not taken a math class in 8 years, so I'd pretty much forgotten how to do everything outside of using a calculator. After taking her class, I know I'm where I need to be to continue my degree. She is a great professor. Even in the online class she checked in with students weekly. I pulled off an A; Midterm and Final exam I got 100%. Take her!

Really funny and goes over everything you need to learn. You use mathlab but you'll have like 5 assignments that are due 2-3 weeks later. Really don't have to go to class all you need to do is do the mathlab assignments and kinda know what your doing and youll be fine. Kelly is super funny I'd definitely take her again. She knows what she's teaching, She will teach you wants going to be on the tests. Mathlab is probably the worst part about the class. Showing up is not a must BUT she does take roll. Overall an awesome teacher, if you're willing to learn she's the teacher to take!

Mrs. Kelly is a really good choice for those who struggle in Math. Her notes and lectures are detailed and she doesn't have a problem explaining things further. She also understands that not everyone is good at math, so she gives plenty of extra credit opportunities for all tests and even the final. Highly recommend.

Professor Kelly is great! She helps relate math to everyday life so those of us can get a better grasp on it. Also she talks a bit about herself and makes the class laugh about things in her life to have a more personal connection with us. She had me twice but didn't make me feel as though I was unwanted. If you can take her classes please do!

I had her for two classes over a Summer semester, and by far one of the best teachers I've ever had. She is nice, funny, easy going, and simplifies the material to something that I could easily understand. Stats was kind of a struggle for me, and had I had a different teacher, I don't think I would've done as well!

I had Mrs. Kelly over the summer semester ,which was a much faster paced class than usual. Professor Kelly really made sure that we understood the material and would even stay after class to help. The tests and quizzes can be difficult but just do the homework and it will help you to get a better understanding as to what areas you need to work on.

Professor Kelly does a great job teaching concepts in class and if you dont understand them in class, you could always contact her outside of class and she could provide help. The online homework helps to teach you the concepts even further so as to have them clear in your mind before each test, so its vital that you do it.

Ms. Kelly is absolutely hilarious. That made the class fun for those of you who are not a fan of math (me). With that said, she is a fantastic teacher. She explains the material really well and will repeat it if any one is confused or has a question. She is available outside of class. She gives so much extra credit, DO IT! It is so worth it!

Ms. Kelly is great at putting mathematical jargon into real world terms with real world examples. Stats class can be fun! I had a blast. I highly recommend showing up for class to go through the examples together, doing the homework & extra credit as soon as possible after class, showing up for activity review days, and tutoring if you're stuck.

Professor Kelly was great. I took her online class. Clear grading material, you know exactly when your assignments are due. Can work ahead. She drops the two lowest test scores. I would definitely take her again!

I unwittingly signed up for some stupid hybrid classroom/online section of 1105 and hated it. I was really picky about taking the class again and took Professor Kelly's class based on RMP reviews. She takes difficult concepts and makes them easier with clever mnemonics. Math can be boring, but she made it dynamic and interesting.

She is hilarious! Professor Kelly is accessible outside of class, cares about your success as a student, is relatable, and offers many chances to earn extra credit! The way she taught helped me understand the material, and for once in my life, I can say I like math (Well, statistics at least lol)!

Uses mathlab for all work that connects to canvas. Grade dependent on mostly midterm and final. Also grade is dependent on quizzes and chapter tests with one grade at end for HW. Very easy to understand and proctored exams were easy too. Responds to emails in 1-2 days. Would definitely take her again.

If you struggle with math take this course. I failed MAT1055 four times, but I needed a intermediate algebra course, so I took MAT1033 and in the first time in years passed and now can move on to my degree. You don't need prior math experience with this course. Requires MyMathlab and mastering, if you pay attention and study hard you will pass.

A great teacher. I have always thought I wasn't good at math but she made it way easier with her teaching. You have to do your homework and quizzes to get a good grade but if you get at least 3 A's out of the 4 tests then you automatically pass with an A. I would recommend getting this professor if you want to be better at math, she's awesome.

Good teacher if you already know what youre doing. She is available outside of class. Tests were somewhat difficult but I ended up with an A. Final exam was optional. We used mathway for homework and quizzes. TESTS ARE WEIGHTED HEAVILY AT 70% OF YOUR GRADE. Dont take if youre not a good test taker.

She is an amazing math professor . I found myself studying up to 8 hours a day (because I literally will keep doing the same problem until I understood .) I am a 6/10 when it comes to math and I passed this class with an A for nursing. My only advice is dont just depend on lectures . As much as people hate my math lab, it will help you.

Kelly is a great Professor and sticks to the syllabus. We had very few homework assignments, besides the ones required on the math lab. She gives good notes during lectures and is very funny. There were 4 tests, 4 online quizzes and about 5-6 online homework assignments due by the day of the tests. The final is also optional!

I have taken Statistics two different times and this class was taught so well that I understood it like never before. Mrs. Kelly was an outstanding professor and I would HIGHLY recommend her. As long as you do your homework and participate in group activities, you will do well.

Professor Kelly made statistics really enjoyable. The class material was challenging, but her lectures cleared up a lot of my questions about the subject. During her lectures, she also likes to talk about unrelated subjects and has a knack for being very entertaining. Overall, she's a caring teacher who knows how to plainly explain the subject.

Online Fast track course, there is really no way to fail if you do your work. You get multiple attempts to take quizes and test. Grade takes on the highest grade out of the attempts. It is not smart to let anyone else do the work for you due to you have to take Midterm and Final on campus. Over all she was great with getting back via email to help

I LOVE Kelly! She's such a good math teacher she makes the material understandable. Gives opportunities for extra credit. She gives you 4 absences before you start missing points. She was a really good teacher. She didnt quite teach the material as much as a teacher should, but all of the material, most people have already learned it. So she just refreshes it. Also when you do the homework online, it helps you and gives you an example on how to do it. She gives extra credit options.

I took Professor Kelly for intermediate math and then for college algebra. Before Inter. I haven't looked at math since HS grad. and believe me it was difficult! but she was helpful, she responded emails in a good manor, she had a great sense of humor that made it feel comfortable to take her class. I took Kelly for both MAC 1105 and MAT 1033 online. She is phenomenal! The online class is through MML but as long as you put in the work you'll earn the grade you deserve. Grade weights are always clear in the syllabus. She is so funny, and really cares about her students. If you need help, reach out to her. I'd recommend her to anyone!

If anyone is looking for a math professor who goes above and beyond for her students to ensure they understand the material then look no further. Through this pandemic professor Kelly gave us resources to continue out our semester. She genuinely wants to see her students succeed. I took Professor Kelly for Elementary Statistics, however that option wasn't up there for me to click on. Statistics is definitely a very hard class, you need to study study study. Definitely don't miss any classes or you will fall behind. She likes to make jokes, shes quiet funny and makes lectures fun. Tests are hard so study.

I took this online due to the Covid-19 pandemic, however, Mrs. Kelly's class was the best I've taken online. She has zoom meetings on normal class days which helps to understand the info, work due before the end of class time, then more work due before the next class. The class is challenging but that is mostly due to the info, not the professor.

I took her class during Summer. She is one of the most helpful professors. She is excellent in communication and very quick in responding to emails or texts. Due to COVID issues I had to take this as a class online. Each time I needed to schedule zoom appointment she was very open and easy to schedule with. Im going to take another class with her.

Gives good materials for learning. I recommend reading the concepts in the textbook before the zoom lecture and using the lecture to learn how to do problems and ask questions. Homework is quick and comprehensive. The tests are worth a lot of the grade but the homework prepares you just fine. Professor was always available for quick communication

Prof. Kelly is the best math teacher I've had. There aren't many who respond to texts let alone email quick enough before the due date. However, she has never let me down every time I questioned something let it be homework or a quiz even with her own busy schedule. GO PROF KELLY FOR THE TEAM!

Was a great class. Was super nervous about Stats and she helped make sense of it. It was a D live class during summer, so moved pretty rapidly, but she supplied us with lecture videos and literally everything to help make us successful in the class. If you put in the work, you will do fine.

Her course was one of the best online courses I have taken. The expectations are straight forward and she presents the material in multiple forms so you can learn in the way thats best for you. She responds quickly to questions. You have unlimited attempts at homework and multiple attempts for tests and quizzes so its not hard to pass this class!

Hands down the best professor I have had at HCC. Tests and exams are through honorlock, but she really does prepare you for everything. There is plenty of information available for a student to easily receive a passing grade, but if extra help is needed she responds to messages so quickly. She clearly loves her students and loves what she does.

If you looking for a easy A this is not the professor for you however if your looking to actually learn in preparation for college algebra then take this course and know you will be prepared. I've taken this teacher twice and I loved it every time, she's seriously an amazing teacher but you have to do your work in order to get a good grade. She gives you all the tools to succeed and it's always there if you need help, if you can apply yourself and be consistent with your hw then you should easily get an A.

I took Prof Kelly's class this summer - and while it was HARD - it was doable. It was only 8 weeks long, when normally you would complete it in 16 weeks. I guess you should expect it to be a lot of work. She answered every single email I sent, took pictures of problems I sent and showed me where I went wrong. Awesome professor and very kind.

Prof. Kelly is so great I registered for her STA-2023! Her analogies are funny and even grounded the material for me. I'm not the best with math and she made it more clear and more understandable. She's very quick to respond to my messages and means it when she says she's available after class if needed. Do the work and you will pass her class!

This class was very difficult for me as I am not very good with math but with proper understanding, it can become manageable. Professor Kelly does a great job at condensing and explaining the concepts of statistics without going too overboard with information. You must study the reviews and activities before tests as the class is very test heavy.

Is a great teacher. I took her class in the morning and she was my motivation to get up in the morning because of her great lectures. Something I recommend is to speak up and ask questions because she will go back and work it out with you because she actually wants you to know and understand the material! I would honestly take her again!

I started off a little rough in the beginning of my pre cal class because she did move a little fast while we were reviewing prerequisite materials, but I caught on quickly. She was very helpful leading up to the final exam and helped me go over the exams materials. She also bumped up my grade from a high b to a low a because I had put in the work

The key to success in this class was all in making sure to read the chapter sections and do all the homework. It can be tough but just going through, reading and practicing is very doable. Professor Kelly also makes herself very available for any help. Highly recommend.

I thought her class was going to be hard for topics in mathematics and honestly the material was hard at times but she made it easier to understand. She always made jokes in class and was willing to help you after class or through text. I would definitely take her class again

Professor Kelly was a great professor. The class was well organized and assignments were clear. She answered emails quickly and even helped me out with resources when I was having personal problems. I didn't experience issues with honorlock as others have said. All she wanted us to do was turn the laptop to show your workspace. Great professor!

Professor Kelly was the best! I took her for this class and MAT1033 and I don't regret my choice.I am a dual enrollment student who took her class fully online.With homework, you have multiple tries to it, the quizzes were based off the homework and the Exams were practored. As long as you do the work on time you will be fine.Definitely choose her!

The class consists of 3 unit exams(65%), Homework(20%), Quizzes(10% / online) & activities (5%). Lectures are very heavy with information and you want to pay attention. She is an alpha woman and humorous. She goes through material rather quickly if no one has questions or is not paying attention. VERY ACCESSIBLE at all times. Wants you to succeed.

The class is basically all through Pearson. She does submit and grade assignments FAST. Will also respond to you within 24 hours.

Professor Kelly is my all time favorite professor. I took her MGF-1106/STA-2023/MAC-1140 courses and loved every minute of them. All of her lectures are recorded so you can go back and re-watch them if you ever miss anything while in class. Attending her classes was the best she's so passionate about teaching and tells the best stories and jokes.

Professor Kelly was awesome. Responds quickly to emails, answered my questions with worked our solutions sent by Remind. It was tough to finish in 10 weeks, and yes you do have to show your work surface. If you want o cheat your way to a grade, take someone else. If you want to learn, work hard and follow directions.

Professor Kelly was terrific. Yes, there is a lot of work, but no more than you should expect with everything you have to learn. She was always available for help. People who complain clearly want an A without having to actually work for it.

Can message her via text and she responds in a timely manner. Work for your grade and you will be fine. Final exam makes up a lowest test grade. It is a heavy class, if you pay attention you will be fine. Submit assignments and focus. Exams are honorlock, chapter test you can use notes with 3 attempts. section hw. Professor Kelly was the best professor I ever had! Yes, there is a lot of homework, but if you don't do a lot of homework you won't learn the material. She was quick to answer questions/emails, and made herself available on the weekends for office hours to meet with me. Very caring and understanding too.

She is an amazing professor, the only bad thing I'll say is there's no leniency for her students. If you miss a day of class, automatic 0 for any assignment they did. If you're late to assignments some things you can't even access for late credit. I've dealt with a lot of nice professors who will extend due dates if you email them and she will not.

Professor Kelly runs a tough but rewarding class. Lots of homework, but she provides great resources and is quick to respond to emails. Honorlock can be a hassle, but it's worth it if you want to really learn the material. unstuck AI was super helpful for preparing.

Prof Kelly ran an organized and clear online course. Modules had everything laid out so it was easy to follow. Video assignments (5 or 6 problems) had videos to watch and learn from and then regular homework of about 15 or 20 per section. There were great instructor lecture videos too but not required. She was always there to help. Great class!

Professor Kelly helped me so much in this class! The hurricane really made completing assignments difficult, but she worked with us to make sure we finished. I am taking her next semester for MAC 1105 and can't wait. She has lots of homework but that's how you learn the material. She was also available for help via TEAMs or email all the time!

I took this class in person, and am so glad that I did. Her passion for the subject shows! She is also one of the funniest instructors I've ever had. If you missed class she has lectures online available to watch. She is really nice but does follow the rules of the syllabus. She's the first Professor who seemed to want her students to succeed!

Professor Kelly is incredibly helpful and makes remembering algebra so much easier. She is easy to reach out to and messages back within an appropriate time frame. I took her class online and she provides 15-30 minute lectures with homework attached. You can tell she loves her job and is very caring about her students.

i am really bad at math and she made it as easy as she possibly could for me, it was still very challenging for me to overcome but she was always available and helpful. She explains things so well, in person and in lecture videos and via email/ text app . i love her!!

Professor Kelly was so kind, and provided so many opportunities for students to learn and practice the material. The course load is a lot, as there are at least one section of reading, video homework, section homework and a quiz per week. There are 5 tests (15% of grade) and 4 exams (60% of grade) throughout the semester, but not bad if you review!

Professor Kelly might be one of the most understanding professors I have ever had. I misinterpreted something major on the syllabus that caused me to skip an exam after thinking it was optional. She was very understanding and allowed me an extension to take the exam with late points (something normally not done). Would highly recommend!

Professor Kelly is a wonderful teacher. I took her College Algebra class and her pre-recorded lectures made it a breeze. I felt significantly less flustered and aggravated than I have in prior math classes. The exams make up 60% of the grade (3 Unit Exams and 1 Final. Final to replace lowest exam score.) I just finished Prof Kelly's online MAC 1140 for the spring and it was a great class. I've never had a professor who would meet me in the evenings in TEAMS meetings to go over homework questions. I've never had a professor who would record videos for me for help when we couldn't meet on my schedule. Yes, it's a lot of work but its a pre-calc class!

Her class did have tedious work but her lecture videos made it easy to learn and understand. You could tell she actually cared for the students to learn and pass. The class was a lot of work in 8 weeks! Her videos were helpful and she was available.via email or TEAMS. She helped me on a weekend when I couldnt get my test to load, and met with me for help on problems during the week. Very kind when I got sick with COVID for a week.

I took Professor Kelly's MAC1140 course during the summer as a transient student. She was amazing at breaking down the course content into bite-sized pieces. Excellent communication and care for her students. A very understanding professor who will help you if you put in the effort. Best advice: do all the homework and retake practice tests

Just go to the lectures and you'll be fine. She goes through each lesson with you and provides group work activities. The final exam is optional but I recommend taking if you need a grade booster. Attendance was not mandatory, had class 2 times a week. Shes a funny professor and go to get along with, very helpful outside class.
