She is easy going and high spirited. The environment is so friendly
Could not find a better prof anywhere! I'd do anything for this woman!
Diane is all the things a professor should be.Couldn't ask for a cooler prof.
OUTSTANDING!!! All other profs should take notes. She made night class fun!!!
She knows the material and goes beyond her position to help you to learn it.
Good teacher willing to help you, very personable and likable
If you want an easy A-take her. She doesn't hold class very often.
She is a great prof. that's very easy going and who is very excited to to teach.

The best Prof at GVSU!!She teaches modern style!
The best prof I've ever had! Made class fun....sweetest woman i know!
This teacher is one of the best, a great teacher, very helpful
Best prof ever, very cute, one prof I could party with after class.
Good Prof...but doesn't use the computers...wasn't prepared for next class
AWESOME. Tons of fun and very open to ideas. Easygoing and very intelligent.
Did not challenge me. More concerned with giving good grades than teahing

One of the coolest people I have ever met, also helpful

waste of time, avoided teaching at all costs

Take Her! Doesn't over lecture. Often lets you out early!
She's a great woman and my new advisor =)
EASY! Funny, class not neccessary, sometimes unclear about assignments
funny prof, easy going, take her if possible easy

she's great!!! awesome teacher
never had a clue what i was supposed to be doing, nice woman, hap-hazard class
you'll be lost in next class you take since she doesn't teach anything
Most chaotic class I've taken so far. I haven't learned anything yet and don't hope to.
Lectures are concise and to the point. A great teacher.
Followed the notes to a T. Attendance not required to do well in class. But a good prof kept lectures somewhat interesting.

Could have been an interesting class if she wouldnt have taught it!! She was awful. Not punctual and doesnt follow through. Exams and notes are a joke! dont bother buying the book, she does the readings for you!
Most confusing class I've ever taken. Learned nothing.
It's difficult to teach what you don't understand. Someone with REAL knowledge of the sunjects would be most helpfull
Tests = open book, open note, on-line. what more do you want? The prof. is very energetic, highly recommended if you need a night class.
I have no use for the lack of learning. I paid good money to learn.
She was very helpful and made the class fun. You don't have to read much but take note you willneed them for the test.
Somewhat unclear, but always willing to help...Lots of fun! Makes class interesting!
I came here to learn not skate
Fun, energetic, learned more in her class than any other. Tests were confusing, multiple choice were poorly worded. Rather vague on expectations, but that's cause she wants you to think (I think) She deserves a smiley.
She make class interesting. She's energetic. She helps you a lot. She wants you to learn. She cares. You do have to work hard though.
She is very flakey, teaches stright from the book, just reads her notes in class and asks if there is any questions. Her tests are multiple choice and worded very tricky. She'll do her best to help you - however very much plays favorites.
She's very funny and keeps me awake at night. She can be confusing at times, but she does her best and I beleive she really knows her information, she just doesn't know how to get it out sometimes.
Great Prof. Take her for any PA class that you can.
Shes a great professor, its a really hard classs, but she gives you the confidence to make you successful. Id take her no matter what the class was - even if I didnt need it
Decent teacher, talks a little fast, drinks too much caffeine. Tests for this class are on Bb and are open note.
Excellent instructor! Best one I have had in all my time at GVSU. She is courteous to the students, and wants to ensure that everyone learns the core concepts of the class, with no compromising of any important details. Highly recommend!!!!!!!
She is challenging, but she has taught me more than any other professor. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend her for either of the classes.
I'm not even a PA major and this woman has taught me more than any professor I've ever had at GVSU. Tests are difficult, but if you know the material and can apply it (which she WILL help you do!) an A is easy. I actually enjoyed going to this class because Diane is so great.
Frank is an awesome prof. One of the best I have had. She knows a lot about what she is talking about and wants to teach it all to you. Her tests are a little hard, but other than that her class is great and I am going to take her again.
Diane is one of the most amazing people I have ever met. She is willing to help in any situation. Exams are a little difficult, but if you study up and are prepared, it's a breeze. Also requires group work, which isn't always great. If you can take her for any class, do it. You won't regret it.
Frank is great, I learned a ton about the nonprofit world. She is probably my most favorite prof to date and I would recomend taking her if you really want to learn. Her tests are a little difficult, but she prepares you well and if you study you will do fine. Frank is great!!!!
Diane is one of the best professors at GVSU. Highly recommended because she is thoughtful, helpful and easy to communicate with. Her tests are nothing to sneeze at though. If you get her consider yourself privledged, it's not easy to get into her class.
Diane is one of the best professors at Grand Valley. She is tough, but fair and always available to help. I learned so much about the topics and myself. This class has made me a better student and a better leader.
She's all over the place with her lectures and explinations, but she is enthusiastic and will try to help you as much as possible. Tough tests, and she has a tough grading scale, but not a tough grader.
Great professor. Very energetic. Tests are on BB and she also has a review sheet for you and is helpful. I didn't like how she didn't give you a syllabus right away to see our reactions. She is a fair grader, just make sure to do the study guide before taking the test. This class makes u apply the concepts 2 real life examples. Has EC(random-ish).
This women is amazing. Never before have I learned so much in a class. Yes it is difficult incredibly useful, and she guides you through it. She is beyond helpful, she would do anything for you. Even pizza parties. Inspiring, compassionate, intelligent. everyone loves her.
Interesting...she's very intellegent, and her lectures are pretty straight forward. She gets too excited about this boring class, and she picks favorites. Overall its a good class...tests are on BB and are open note.
Kimoto was cool. She is very energetic and likes to talk about her son but it's cool. Tests are online and open note/book. But timed so do the study guides. They help. If u have her early in the morning she'll keep you awake. Just get to class and take notes. and use a lot of detail on tests and assignments
Kimoto is an awesome person. That said, the grading scale haunts you the entire semester (97%=A) and the tests are downright scary (between 4-10 essay questions, timed and online) so it is difficult to focus on material rather than fear for your grade. You will probably learn the same amount taking another prof, and with a lot less stress.
This was one of the hardest classes I have taken. Your grade is based almost entirely on the cooperation of an outside agency that you will partner with. We were perpetually behind in class, which meant a real struggle at the end. Her advice regarding problems was vague at best. Get another prof if you can.
Dr. Kimoto is a great professor and very helpful faculty member of GVSU. She is always willing to answer questions and keeps you alert with her high energy levels. I couldn't of asked for a better instructor for this moderately boring class.
High energy but very confusing, the tests are awful no matter how much you study and the grading scale is super harsh. Be prepared to teach yourself everything and you need to be well informed about public and nonprofit organizations before taking the class. You'll need to use them as examples.
Kimoto is a very nice lady who is always willing to help you. Her Public and nonprofit class is extremely difficult because you have to look for examples to use on the essays in exams. Pay attention in class!!!
This class is VERY good and VERY time consuming. You will have to put a lot into it but you will recieve a lot out of it. Try and pair this class with other easy classes in your schedule. Kimoto will help whenever you ask- make sure to ask questions. She is energetic and at times hard to follow, but she wants her students to do well.
Diane is AMAZING!! She is so willing to help and know so much about public administration. She is constantly changing the structure of the class and test formats which makes things interesting but also frustrating. She is the best prof I have ever had and would recommend her for every PA class.
She wants us find out what AC means in her classes, from a student how has had her before. Does anyone know what it is?
Diane is awesome. Really created a family culture in the class and was very passionate about the material. You have to put A LOT of time, work, and reading in to get a good grade, but she is willing to work with you whenever you need it.
One of the best profs you will ever have! Class can be confusing so take extra notes. No textbook so pay attention. She is willing to work with you on anything and will let you make up missing assignments. Take her class for sure!
She's SO CONFUSING. Very difficult to follow. Be ready to teach yourself EVERYTHING.
Amazing prof. She's always available to help and clearly loves the job. Super passionate which makes the class really interesting. If you're taking a PA class try to get her.
There is no way you can fail this class. She WANTS everyone to get an A, and I wouldn't be surprised if everyone in my class did get an A. All exams are online, even the final. Sometimes it is confusing on when things are due but everything is pretty easy. Very nice lady, but talks about her son a little too much. Brought us candy all the time!
The class is comprised of a couple assignments, a final paper, a presentation, and a few exams which are on blackboard and timed (but you have plenty of time). You don't have class on exam days since the exams are online and she usually posts the exam early, which is nice. She is super nice& always brings treats. Don't stress about the presentation
She is overall a good professor but is very confusing. When she gives out assignments you have ask a million questions to know how to actually to do it. She is a very knowledgable professor. When it comes to grading you won't know your grade until final grades are due she's terrible at posting grades.
Her lectures were not helpful for the exams. She gets really frustrated when the class doesn't participate in discussions. There's a pretty extensive presentation and paper due at the end of the semester. Would not recommend.
WOW. What a fantastic Professor. Ignoring the massive quantities of free food she fed me in and out of class, I learned a lot from this woman. You get out what you put in, keep that in mind. If this is your field of interest, you should take PA 270, and PA 335 with Dr. Kimoto. She's the best. I wish I had more classes to take with her! - Big Bird
Her exams are really not that bad, but she just reads off the slides in class. On the bright side, she cancels class a lot and brings cinnamon rolls for you! She is very knowledgeable when you ask her questions and really does know what she is talking about
Pretty solid professor! You will be working on an entire grant for the whole sem. with a group of 4. It makes it easier if you choose an organization that she knows about because she can help you with missing information. She offers meaningful and helpful suggestions throughout the process. She always pushes deadline whenever needed. Super sweet!
