Great teacher! just pay attention and take good notes and it is an automatic A in her class

I thought her class was extremely well taught. She explains things very well and is always there in her office hour to help. Also gives easy project and homework points to boost grade.

She is one of the best instructors. Her lecture is well-organized and exam is not hard if you study weekly assignment. Also, she is very kind. her project isn't easy. It's time-comsuming.

Shes is a wonderfull teacher. I had her for all three of my math classes through math 10 and passed them all. I've never gotten A's on tests in math till I had her. Math 10 is still has lots of work but if you pay attention she makes it easy to understand

You WILL have to do the homework, which usually took me a couple hours but is great prep for tests. The book used challenges you to interpret the numbers; it's not just plug and chug.

This is the professor that got me interested in math. After her and getting my basics down in trigonometry, I aced all of my calculus courses and went on to transfer to Berkeley. I thought I was just bad at math, but all it took was one great teacher to turn me around. Mathios is excellent.

Diane is a one of a kind teacher. Her heart is in her job and her interests are for her students to learn math. Without her I would have continued to fail math. She helped me overcome my fear and hopelessness of not understanding math. I can now say I understand what I had missed in my 46 years. De Anza is blessed to have her. She is THE BEST!

Easy A. Yeahyeah, she's nice and caring and all that good stuff...REALLY babies her students. The class feels like high school--attendance and homework are important. Do the homework and practice tests, and the tests will be a breeze.

what can i say? ive been with her for 3 quarters now, from trig to precalc B. shes really nice, really funny. she cares a lot about if you are struggling in the class and trys to help if you are. also, dont talk in class too much or she will eventually get mad, attendance is mandatory, take good notes, and you will pass. i would take her again.

I've also taken her for 3 quarters and would definitely take her again. she's such a sweet and caring teacher and makes math enjoyable. I highly recommend her. do the work, study, and don't slack off and you're set for a good grade. also don't talk a lot in class, it gets to her :P

She is extremely easy. She is helpful. The test is easy, just like what you did in hw. 1 assignment every week. just spend 2 hrs every week if you are good at math.

Mrs Mathios takes complicated concepts and is able to break it down step by step so that you actually understand what is going on. She would come to class with props, she also has a sense of humor and is very caring. She is extremely organized, she was never behind schedule: 1 quiz/week, rated HW/week, 3 midterms + finals +graded pojects.Excellent.

Ms. Mathios is the best teacher at DeAnza College. She is very helpful, and supper nice. I had her for 3 quarters (starting from Trig all the way to Precalculus 49B) and I strongly recomend her class. This teacher loves helping students succeed in math. She loves her Job!

She is the BEST!! Mathios is an award winning instructor. If you are smart, you will take her class. You will learn and if you do what she says, you will get a high grade. 1 quiz per week, HW due every Friday, only 5 allowed absences per quarter, 3 tests and The Final. If you are the type that misses class alot, don't waste her time.

She's a really nice teacher and willing to help. She's a bit slow when she talks but she's really clear and treats you with respect. I've taken this course in HS but had to take it again b/c I took the wrong placement test..but I'm learning things I've never learned before. mathios is one of the best and easiest math instructors at deanza! i hate math w/ a passion, but taking her class made it easy for me. quizzes and tests are straight from her notes..so its best to take a lot of notes in her class in order to do well. she's also very generous with partial points. i def recommend to take her for the calc series.

This class is extremely easy for me! She teaches clearly, pretty sure you will understand. The homework only cost me at most 30min. IT IS SO EASY! And the quiz similar with the hw, there is no way not to get full marks. Overall, this class is sure A. GOOD TEACHER/EASY CLASS/EASY A ^V^

She is a very kind woman, she teaches very well and cares about the students. During the quarter I had with her, her husband passed away, yet she kept coming to school, often wiping tears off her face quietly. She insisted that we should solve problems her way, but I'm sure she knows what she's doing. Recommended, definitely consider her.

One of the best De Anza math teachers. Incredibly clear, tests are from the hw so do that and do well on the group projects and you will get an A on the test, and she only gives you the understandable hw problems. She doesn't overwhelm you with information. There's work, like any math class, but it's do-able. Overall she's an absolute sweetheart.

i love this teacher very! because the class very easy the lecture very easy to follow, the test and quiz so easy to get perfect score! although i got C in math 51 in the last two quater. But now i get A in her class!hehe!! take her class if you want get higher grade in math!

She is a really helpful and nice teacher. Math 42: Her three tests were hard for me, i think i did much better on the final; she must have made it easier on us. Turn in HW, projects, study hard and you'll get a good grade at least. Don't know something, just ask and she will clarify and help you. Recommend! for 41,42.

Ms. Mathios is one of the most patient math instructors I've taken. She doesn't rush through topics and really tries her best to make sure we have a good grasp of the concepts. Her tests and quizzes are really straight forward and are not tricky at all. As long as you practice the concepts by doing homework and reviewing notes, you'll do fine.

Great teacher, don't try to take advantage of her nice nature because she will eventually know and will definitely stop helping you. She just wants students to try their best . I have seen people coming to class really late and try to borrow lecture notes from her and she hates that. So, be nice to a her and study.

Best math teacher I have ever had. Her lectures are very clear and all slides are provided online. Her grading is lenient-generous even. Often times, she uses problems from homework and lecture as quiz/test questions. Do your homework & you will do well. I strongly recommend buying the solutions manual.

This professor is the best math professor I have ever had and should win an award for her ability to take complicated subjects and make them clear. She is fair, but you must follow her instructions and go to class. Her lecture slides are all available online, so if you want to print them out you don't have to do tons of writing.

Professor Mathios is the best math professor on De Anza's campus. She gives clear lectures about the topics. She keeps on track to the syllabus. She gives in-class worksheets to help students understand the topics. She grades fairly on the work and solution. And she has an energetic personality that makes you want to learn. I highly recommend.

Her lectures are very clear and easy to follow. She makes learning Calc fun and easy. Even if u miss class she posts up her class notes on her website. She loves to give EXTRA TEST points that you can earn the day before the test. She grades generously the first few test and quizes, but after that she grades stricter. I went from an A to a B

I got a C only because of my laziness. I used internet too much to help me on homework. Show her you care. Visit office, raise hand in class. She is a great lecturer, testsquizzes are fair, and she grades generously. Homework has value and it helps your grade. Diane is a fair and easy going instructor. I will take her again if she teaches math1C in fall quarter. The only part which I don't like with her class is I do not enjoy group project, group quizzes or group activities. Different classmates have different levels of understanding and it is so tough to cooperate with them. Overall, take her.

I realized I didn't do well on quiz and then depressed suddenly. This happens ALL THE TIME! I don't know why she does that BEFORE giving quiz back.

Diane's class is very organized and interesting. Nice and kind instructor plus many extra credits. I guess she likes to courage her students and gives opportunity to raise your grade. I just do not like those group projects. Pick other instructors if you are not good at managing group work.

Diane is the best Math teacher I ever took. She is very nice. Some people complain about group work, but I feel ok because my group had only 2 people ( u can pick anyone u want). Moreover, you can check your answer with her before the due.

The group projects are fairly easy if you choose people who are going to do their part. The plus is you choose your teammates and you can always change groups. I went from a lazy group of people to a group of 2, who wanted an A and did their homework. Ask questions and you will do well on the tests. Learn to use your calculator!!

Hands down the best teacher I've ever had in my entire life. I hated math until I became her student. She is so patient and kind. She has a gift for breaking things down for the people who struggle with math. I now feel as confident in math as I do in every other subject. She gives a lot of work but you never feel overwhelmed. Great teacher, super easy class. Clear lectures that were exactly based on the content on the homework, lectures, and quizzes. Homework was out of the book and was graded more harshly in the first few weeks. Only 1 group project, so it wasn't too bad.

I ABSOLUTELY HATED MATH UNTIL I TOOK MATHIOS! I was iffy about taking a two hour class everyday, but I'm really glad I did. There's hw everyday, but it's super easy because she teaches that well. I've been getting over 90/100 ish on my quiz&MT and this is going from someone who would always get 50s and 60s in other math classes! Take this class!!

Diane Mathios is the best! Believe me! I consider myself very bad in math and i got an A with her! She did magic with me! Plus i was pregnant at the time i took her class!
