Prof.Scrofano is a very helpful teacher, shes really nice, helps u with all your papers and tells you what you did wrong. The class goes by really quick, shes always prepared and ready to teach i recommand every1 to take her class. if she was goin to teach a higher level i would take her class again

Very nice young lady but is not interesting. Assigns alot of work such as a presentation, journals due daily, internet work, and quizzes; its helpful if you want to learn but overwhelming. The plus is she is an easy grader but class go's by sssslllloooowww.

She is young and cool. VERY VERY helpful with everything!! Kind of a lot of work, but its all really easy. Weekly quizzes, but they are extremely easy too. My class read 2 books, one of which was The Lovely Bones, which was EXCELLENT! She is SO nice and understanding about everything. Sometimes she tells funny stories. I definitely recommend her!

She give tons extra credits and a lot of class activity that water down the weight of essays in the students' grades. If you attend class regularly and turn in your assignments (most of them are very easy) on times, you should get an A in her class, no problem.

She's a pretty cool teacher, willing to help you through the work. As long as you attend class, and do your essays, you'll get through the class just fine. She usually lets the class out early as long as you let her teach without too many interuptions.

I was so happy I took the Intro class with her. If I hadn't, English Comp would be a huge problem for me this semester.

Totally committed to her class. Every minute of the 4 hour class filled with a variety of activites. Excellent skill level with technology. Don't be late! Stickler on attendance. Class goes the full session. Valuable information imparted to class. She is highly organized;detail oriented. Everyone seemed to enjoy attending; hardly any drops.

Very easy class just do the work and you'll get an A. The only thing that sucks is that she has you buy like 4 different books for the class and you don't even use 2 of them ( Just buy Silent Spring and the Patterns books ). Pretty easy grader and very helpful. I loved the class cause Engl isn't my strongest subject yet I got a good grade

Mrs. Scrofano is a wonderful teacher. I wasn't interested in English before, but since I have taken her Into to College Writing Class I have since improved on spelling and writing. Her teaching style is reading writing. We read the book Glass Castle and also write essays that are was fun. It is not hard to get an A but its work. I give her an A+!

"She is off her rocker." Reading almost every night. Attending is a MUST. Boring class. No tests. Just essays. Outside activities which are must. No xtra credit. Highlight in the novels is a must, so you can't return your books at the end. My advice is she is an okay teacher if you have to take her. but don't if you can.

Miss Scrofano is an amazing teacher. She made me want to come to class and actually learn. Our reading groups felt like book clubs. She tells you exactly what she wants from you. You get to rewrite your papers for a better grade. I really enjoyed her class and I would love to take her again. You have to do the work but you will gain a lot from it.

Professor Scrofano was very helpful in explaining the details if we did not get it the first time. She is a great teacher and I would take her again and recommend her to anyone. My only complaint was that it got a little boring being in a 3 hour class w her talking the whole time. She likes to drag out the classes until the last minute.

I took Scrofano for Eng1C and Eng1A. She is such a great teacher. Really animated, interested in her students,and interesting conversations. Homework every night (easy homework,)does NOT accept late work, and MUST come to class. She is the best English teacher and I learned so much from her!

soooo boring. i love english, but i dread this class :( she WILL drop you if you miss 4 classes. she explains essays as if nobody in the class has written an essay before. the final research paper is incredibly structured, and the structure doesn't make any sense. don't recommend.

The class is easy as long as you pay attention and do the work required which isn't a lot. Besides that don't be afraid to ask any questions you may have. Do all those things and it will be an easy A. To me, she is an angel.

Took the class over the summer. She is a great English teacher. 3 essays and 1 final research paper. She allows re-writing of the 3 essays. 5 discussion threads per week. Very doable in the summer. Just learn to budget your time well. Highly recommended.

Very helpful, mandatory attendance-only allowed to miss 4 sessions, expects punctuality, very interesting material. You cannot pass the class if you miss a take-home essay so beware. If you are serious about learning, take this professor. She is a dedicated and caring teacher! She'll bend over backwards to help you succeed.

awesome teacher! awkward but funny, makes everything straight forward and constantly reminds students of things that need to be done. I have had her for 3 semesters now, she has taken me through my english learning experience and im proud to say that because of her i love english, she makes it awesome and interesting and easy to learn i swear!

She' really nice but soooooo boring. This is the slowst class of the day for everyone. She's a really tough grader and it's hard to get above a "B". I WOULD NOT SUGGEST TAKING MO1C FROM HER!

I took Prof. Scrofano in 1A and 1B and rec. an A in both. At first you might think that she is very slow and that she should be teaching at an Elementary School, but after awhile you get used to it. Her grading is the easiest because she isn't critical on how well you write, just on things like grammar and organization. Attendance is a must.

She was a great teacher. All you have to do is keep up with the readings and write all of your reflections and you will pass. Enjoyed her class!

The ONLY reason why someone could say Scrofano isn't an easy teacher is if they can't write a 1 page reflection. The class is all points based, so if you read the simple shorts stories and do the reflections due after every one, then there is no way you cannot get an A. Essays graded with lenience. Extremely simple if you just do the work.

You can submit essay draft's for both peer review as well as ask her to review for you. Her feedback is awesome. I learned a lot from her as well as the research topic was great and relevant. Scrofano is honestly a great teacher. She's clear and specific, and she introduced me to some great literary works. She is patient with students and is eager for student participation in discussion, which is cool. 4 papers - nothing too crazy. She's also pretty hilarious and her sense of humor is awkward yet cute

Great professor! I took her online course and she was always super helpful and would schedule face to face times to look over my rough draft essays. Must participate in discussions after reading short stories and gives 10 question quizzes after each module. I highly recommend her. I haven't taken a English class since high school & got an A!

Definitely a tough grader but surely she is THE greatest English teacher of them all. Get ready to sweat for your precious A. I mean it! There are sooooo many bad writers amongs us who have to take her class and learn how to write otherwise they are wasting their times. You'll thank me later!

Great teacher! You will have to prioritize your time for this class. I suggest turning on notifications so you are reminded of assignments and receive her news feeds. (lot's of reading, quizzes, discussion posts, 2-3 free writing papers,1 persuasive paper and 1 research paper. You have to work in this class, but you will learn a lot!

She is really not as bad as the last few people say. Yes, she gives a lot of homework, but most of it is pretty simple. If you're used to working hard, then her class isn't going to be much of a shock to you. She is a tough grader, but then again, don't expect an A if you wrote your entire paper the night before. This is a fairly easy English class. There were 5 essays including the final. Every week we would have similar assignments to make sure we were doing the reading. She was very quick to reply to emails and concerns. Allowed make ups for all the essays except the final. A bit challenging, but I did improve my writing.

The coarse is mostly common sense material within the reading and tests. Diane is very specific as in what she wants and gives good feedback and advice. Most things cannot be made up including tests so if you miss a class it could lower your grade. Overall she is a good professor and takes pride in what she does.

Since College Strategies is a new course at Moorpark College, I think Professor Scrofano taught us very well. She was enthusiastic about the material and engaged us in many group activities in order to learn and to get to know one another. This class allowed me to meet a lot of the friends that I have now in a friend group that feels like family.

Love Mrs. Scrofano! I loved her so much I took her for all english courses. I hated english going into college, but after meeting her, she helped me and gave me the tools I needed to succeed. She was even awesome enough to give me a letter of reccommendation after finishing her courses, so that I was able to win a schlorship!

Professor Scrofano is the sweetest person ever. Her children's literature class is very fun, but sometimes her lectures can get boring because she will reread from the children's books which she makes you read for homework. Overall, great professor.

Professor Scrofano knows what she is talking about and loves the material. I took her children's literature class which was finally offered this year. The class was Tuesdays and Thursdays and there was always material to read. She would assign a book on Tuesday and expected you to read it and write a reflection to turn in on Thursday.

Professor Scrofano is a tough grader by far. I took her children's Literature class and she assigns four essays total along with reflections due every class. She is very sweet and is there if you need support, do not hesitate to ask for help! You will need it to go to her office hours as well!

Scrofano is such a nice teacher/person! I like how organized she is and how she grades papers. Some assignments I didnt feel taught me anything but she does give a lot tips and handouts on how to write well on future essays. Shes the type of teacher that is great for first year college students.

She is one of the best English teachers I have had. It is important to ask questions if you need to because she is very helpful. There are four essays in class and she allows rewrites for all essays except the last one. There is a good amount of reading for homework where she assigns reflections per reading assignment.

I think that she is the sweetest professor ever. She might fit in as an elementary teacher, from her bubbly personality, but it's a nice break from the heavy professors who don't have tone in their voice. She gives four essays total, but gives you a chance to revise them after every essay. Use her resources to your advantage.

I absolutely LOVED Professor Scrofano. As an online class, she was constantly updating our course page and was always accessible by email if you had any confusion. The books are a great read and the discussions are essential! They help you understand the messages of them and help give you a better chance at a good grade.

Although my own missteps kept me from doing as good as I likely could've, she was extremely understanding whenever I reached out. Be wary that 10% of an essay's grade is subject to whether she thinks your essay is special and she isn't very clear as to what that means. My opinion here could be bias as she was decently fond the essays I wrote.

Mrs.Scrofano was the best teacher I had at Moorpark. You actually have to do the work, discussions 1-2x a week, quizzes. She was very involved and cared for the material she was teaching. She always gave feedback on essays, and responded immediately to emails. I didn't love having to pay for a grammar website though, around twenty dollars.

She gives good feedback on essays but just mentally prepare yourself that you will never get an A on a paper. All participation is necessary for you to maintain a good grade in the class so if you miss something you're kinda screwed. If you don't read the books it makes your life hell and you won't do well in the class

Prof Scrofano cares deeply about her students. I was going through some family issues during the semester that I took her and she was so kind, understanding, and patient. I am forever thankful for her and highly recommend taking her classes.

Professor Scrofano was really engaging and super nice. She has homework due every class, but they're only a few notes on the required readings. For every essay she has peer reviews which are really helpful. She also gives you everything you need for exams in the course modules so they're really easy to study for.

I was able to take 4 classes (2 of them ENGL) and still able to get everything done. It's like any other class, make sure you do the essays and don't use AI, and you'll get an A. Professor Scrofano will want you to succeed no matter what. She provides essays for the class to write. She allows rewrites and will give you feedback for your rewrite. She also sprinkles helpful grammar/MLA videos during the semester. I have ALWAYS struggled with English, but this is the first time I received an A in English. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!
