Prof Tanner is a great teacher. She teaches the class in a straightforward manner and the tests are easy if you just go over the CDROM from the textbook. LOTS of extra credit is available! There is a fun group project too where you make cookies.

Very helpful...lots of sample tests with solutions. You can chat on an IM with her to get help virtually 24/7. You will definitely learn alot.

had her for both fin and man acctng. She was extreeemely helpful. Her tests are challenging and detailed and she demands understanding to do well. Some of the questions on tests are jilted but other than that a wonderful teacher.

There is a test every week on each chapter. It is a challenging class, but the good thing is that she gives alot of extra credit opportunities.

She works lots of problems in class and explains very well. If you attend class and do the work she assigns, you will do well, AND.....you will really understand accounting, which helps when you get to financial management.

Dedicated to her field and teaching, this has been my toughest class yet. There are ample opportunities to boost your grade, which are just more ways to learn the material. This class requires much time outside lecture. Painful, yet good for you!

Excellent!. She helps you at every chance and gives bonus points if you do extra work. She is tough, but taking her class made the fin. management class you take after it much easier. My friends that took Gill had to take fin. mgmt. 3 times before they passed it b/c Gill didn't teach them enough.

She moves quickly, but she links each topic to previous ones and reexplains it. Easy to understand if you can follow her. Each test is moderate however bonus points let you almost always have atleast a 90%. Besides she lets you earn a bunch of bonus points near the end of the simester. An easy 'B'.

Most helpful college prof. i have ever had. Gives the student every opportunity to earn an A if you do your part, and an easy B if you dont. I hate accounting but this class was really easy. Lots of tests but Tanner sends emails before every test telling whats on it, makes it easy on the student.

Very good teacher. She makes you work hard but you learn it. I would not have passed FIN3403 had it not been for her.

If you take Tanners class be prepared to work. She is the hardest, but I also learned the most from her. I worked my butt off and got a B+, but I'm sorry to say that my classmates were not as fortunate.

Accounting is complex by nature. I had FIN 3403 last semester and wouldn't have done well had it not been for Tanner. She will kill you with the workload, but this is college. Quit whining if you can't get an easy A; instead, earn your grade. Classmates in FIN 3403 had taken the class more than once because they had a weak ACG 2071 background.

Diane Tanner is an awesome teacher! Her work load is a bit heavy but she will go out of her way to help any student. Keep up with the homework and you will be fine. She gives so many extra credit opportunities...it is unbelievable!! As for "free help"...take advantage of it! I would highly recommend her to anyone! Just keep up!

Great teacher--makes it interesting--Need about 5-8 hours a week for HW and studing. She provides notes and sample problems on her website similar to tests. If you study those, you should do well. The people who dropped must be really lazy. Easy A.

The people giving her negative ratings are just lazy and shouldnt be in College anyways. Yes she does give a lot of work, but if you keep up with it you will get a B no problem, A little more work and itll be an A. She gives tons of extra credit and bonus ops, as well as free help. She just wants you to think so you can learn, not just giving ans.

Great teacher. She will help you when ever even online all weekend. You will really learn the material which you need for the next course. Go to class and do the HW and you are fine.

Gave a lot of work, atleast 7 test & 2 20 point extra credit work. Do homework & study while making cheat card, you will do fine on the test. Do all the homework one of them will be your quiz for next class. Start extra credit early you can ask her for help on them and everything else via email or im. Problem she send too much emails, check often

Great teacher! Go over the homework problems before a test and you will do great. The people who say bad things about her are lazy losers. go to class, take notes, understand homework (she works them on the board and explains good), and you will get an A. the test grades have at least 50% of people with As and Bs.

I would definitely recommend this teacher. She will always help you on IM or email. She does give a lot of work, but it you get a high enough grade on your tests you dont have to do homework. Also, tons of extra credit opportunities. Easy A if you go to class and pay attention.

Her class is difficult, but she is a good teacher. Lot of homework, but homework and clicker quizzes help you to track a material. She can respond like 100 your e-mails. Very helpful!!! You will de fine if you will study.

Best teacher for Accounting majors. If this is your major and career choice, take her classes. You will have a thorough grasps of accounting principals when your done. Accounting is a very difficult major. Pick an easier major if you want to cruse college. (Marketing or Business)

Tests are very similiar to previous tests posted online and you get one note card per test which helps immensely. You do not have to get the clicker questions correct to get credit unless otherwise told

Tests are about as complex as the lectures she teaches in class - take notes thoroughly and pay attention and you'll do fine. Ridiculously helpful, she's always available to assist you at your convenience. It's a hard class no matter who you take, but she seems to have an excellent command of the subject and can help you through it.

You don't need the book at all just go to class, listen, and watch her example. Thats all I did and got an A on all of the exams. She is a good Teacher you just have to be willing to listen and learn.

Professor Tanner seems like a nice person, but maybe its time for her to retire. I didn't acually take her, but I had to take an excel quiz twice with her and I got an F on the first one. didn't like the quiz very much, but she doesn't seem like a bad person in my opinion.

She is a great teacher and will help you if you don't get it the first time. Her excel quizzes are easy to get 100%...just work the practice quiz before the real quiz and do all the homework for a guarnateed A in her class.

Ok, there is no such thing as an easy version of Acg 2021. However, she makes the class manageable and possible. probably one of the better teacher for the course and she gives partial credit.

She is hard but fair. Acctg is not easy so you actually have to study for those who don't. Out of 5 tests, I got an A, 2 B's and 2 D's. However, she replaced 2 test grades with our final test grade and I managed an A somehow. Go to class & study the hmwk & study her old tests/examples she has online. This lady is way too into accounting! She literally spends all of her time on the subject which is what makes her a good teacher, but also makes her extremely tough. Had her for Financial Accounting and have to tell you it's gonna be a lot of work. I'm thinking she is preparing you for future ACG classes. Tanner is GREAT! NEVER put anything on tests that wasn't taught. If you end up teaching yourself it is ONLY because you didn't do the HW. DO the HW! Study probe/guide given 4 EACH chapter - you won't find another professor who does that! She has an entire website for this class. I am an Economics major, I am NOT a fan of accounting, and I got an A!

This class can be difficult be she gives you TONS of sample tests and problems so that you can learn the material. I took the Hybrid class and had no problems. Tests are hard but again she gives you a sample exam in order for you to prepare. She also keeps you informed on your grades and is always available to help. She also tells funny stories :)

Had her for Managerial and she is great. Wrote the book and gives you all the notes. Every day is a chance for extra credit and even more chances. Excel quizzes and tests are difficult but she gives you example problems that exactly reflect what she wants you to know. If you bother to even try you should do just fine

If you didn't take her for managerial, be prepared to work your tail off. 5 tests, a group project(nightmare), and a comprehensive final(easy if you survived to that point). Must show up. Must take GOOD notes. She's very helpful in her office hours, so go get help if you need it(i.e. the project). This class is hard work, but you will learn!

Great teacher once you learn her style! Know exactly what s on the test! No text! Pay attention to the practice tests. If you can do those you'll be fine, also a stickler for correct labels! Thank God for note cards allowed on exam!

Please take Tanner! She is extremely punctual and detailed which people often mistake for a sour mood. She loves teaching and loves it when you learn. She is so happany to answer any question at literally ANY time with extreme clarity. There are so many example problems on her website that make getting less than a B impossible. Put in the work.

I didn't like her teaching style but if anything she is fair. I got a B+ in the class but I had to study pretty hard for each test. She offers some extra credit and gives you plenty of examples to study from. She is quite boring in class and attendance is mandatory.

Great Professor but be careful, her teaching style is not for everyone. It's a very self taught class in that you learn the lessons at home and then practice it in class, so if you aren't responsible (like me I'm being honest) the class can be challenging. However she's super awesome, I had a 68.5 in the class and she passed me with a C!!

Very hard class. She is a great teacher though. Definitely involved! The content is what makes this course a bummer, not her. She has an awesome website UNF TannerTown (look it up to see what you'll be doing). I'm taking this class currently and am struggling to pass. Hardest I've ever worked and some of the lowest grades I've ever made.

Her teaching style is my absolute favorite. She is straight-forward and gives clear directions. If you can complete her study guides then you are pretty much guaranteed to do well. She also offers tons of bonus points and a makeup exam if you need it. You can tell she wants you to do well and she provides you with every resource you need.

She is a great professor, but the class is very challenging and time consuming. She uses a backwards teaching style, so you have to spend a lot of time outside of class learning the material. She gives participation bonus points and make up tests. The sample tests are extremely useful, and if you understand them completely, the tests are not hard.

Professor Tanner is a great professor. If you pay attention to class and just do the Sample problems and the Sample exam before the exams you will be good.

Cost accounting with professor Tanner was one of the best accounting classes I have taken. She has a website, Tannertown, where she posts a schedule, study guides, answer keys after exams, and access to managerial accounting material. The class is not easy and requires prep for each class, but the work was worth it! made an A.

Professor Tanner is an amazing professor. She is definitely very tedious in how she grades and what format she wants. She expects precise answers and labels on tests and assignments handed in. As I found out, it has a very good reason other than getting a good grade . She has changed the way I do certain things. A great find of a professor!!!!

I took professor Tanner for both managerial and cost accounting. Her class was easy for me. She has an online website where you can access all the notes, practice tests, and practice questions you need. You don't need to buy the book. There is NO reason why anyone should fail her class. She is not kind to people who don't take her class seriously.

Tanner is an amazing professor, she is VERY organized and is clear about what she expects. She moves through the material quickly in class, so it's important to prepare before hand. She gives practice exams that are set up very similarly to her exams, so they're not too bad, but exam 4 is definitely the hardest. Absolutely recommend taking her!

ACG2071 is without a doubt the hardest class I have ever taken. The amount of material that is covered per class is insane! That being said, I wouldn't take the class with anyone but Dr. T. She cares about her students and if you put the work in, she will want you to pass. Go to SI, her office hours, and do every extra credit opportunity given.

The class itself was very hard. Cost account... a lot of homework that you have to do and master to do well on the tests. But the instructor put in a lot of time to streamline all the important things and give you the tools needed to succeed. I thoroughly enjoyed this class but you will have to put in a lot of time to get a good grade.

Professor Tanner was one of the best accounting professors I've had. She gave numerous resources and a good deal of extra credit, class has a lot of information but the study guides are similar to her exams. The SI's exam reviews helped a ton too. The final was the hardest test without a doubt.

Don't skip class. So much material is covered each class that it will be detrimental to your grade to skip. I didn't pick up the textbook at all in this class, as long as you go to class and utilize her Study Hall page you won't need the book ever - seriously. This class takes a lot of effort but Tanner is the best and she will get you through it!!

Professor Tanner is an amazing professor. Because of the "flipped classroom" dynamic it can be difficult for many students to fall behind or find it hard to follow her. As long as you do the work before class or directly after class you can stay on top. She gives all the necessary material to pass her exams and all questions on the exam.
