the class is boring. all she does is read from powerpoint slides. you dont have to take notes because all tests are open book. you can drop a test grade and you dont even have to take the final. you have to write a research paper and give a presentation on it. her class is super easy but equally boring. its your call.

Super boring...all she does is read from powerpoint slides that you can download on webct. Attendance is required. I found her to be VERY unclear on most things, even when it came to what she wanted in the research paper. She seemed almost as bored with the materials as we were bored with how she presented it.

She is boring because she doesn't actually teach. She absolutely reads from her powerpoint. Dull. And we had to write papers almost weekly, something I haven't had to do since high school. But I love skipping finals and her exams are open book. Easy A if you have a hard semester coming up.

Avoid at all costs. She is one of the worst at UNLV. She is always changing things, can't stay on topic, just flustered if you question her or call her out on something. Words cannot describe this woman. If you do take her, buy the book, the tests are open book, and then don't goto class. All of her test questions come right out of the book.

Just show up to class and take ALL notes inside your text since ALL tests are open-book and open-note!! Just highlight and you can ace every test! Plus she drops the lowest grade, so if you like your grade by the end of the semester, YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAKE THE FINAL!! One huge paper/presentation, but just do it correctly, and you will get an A.

Loved her! We had a create a patient project which included writing a paper, making a presentation and creating multiple choice questions. I started early which made it easy to tackle. She is very fair with the tests as well. She is very caring and is always willing to help. I look forward to taking her again for cognitive psychology

All exams are online which helps, but they are actually pretty hard and book reading heavy. If it helps get the books as ebooks to find the answers more fast. The class is pretty boring, her powerpoints are like 70+ slides with scattered material. This class is very similar to abnormal psychology PSY 330.

The class was set up relatively simply, four online tests, 1 paper, and 1 presentation. Attendance is mandatory. Lectures are dry. The papers and presentations weren't terrible (rubric provided). The tests are very difficult. I would suggest the online version of the texts. She is very nice, though, and willing to work with you if you try in class.

Please do not be intimidated by this course! You can retake the quizzes/final, and there are grade boosters such as practice exams and an essay. Please have the book ready for the quizzes/final. She gives hints on what to focus on for quizzes and her and her TA want you to do well in the course. The old reviews make this class seem scary.

Dr. Villa has one of the best protocols for online learning. She teaches how to master the material. Unlimited shots at practice quizzes + 2 shots to ace exams. TA was great too - BOTH very willing to help. 1 short lit review paper. You must read book, gives detailed ppt for retention. She is a HIDDEN GEM, truly cares & knows how to teach! A+++

Dr. Villa's online class is great. She has gives you unlimited chances to take practice quizzes and 2 chances to take the quiz. Schedule breaks down what you should do weekly and at the end of the month everything is due. If you can stay on track it's easy to pass! Textbook is needed, most quiz questions are based off it.

I hated almost every minute of this class. Super hard. Only 3 tests that cover a ton of material (and in depth material!) The material had nothing to do with psych. Should be an anatomy class. We have spent most of the time covering vision and hearing IN EXTREME depth! Not useful for my degree at all. Waste of time and money!

Lectures were interesting, and the tests/quizzes were easy to pass. You're able to retake your practice tests over and over until you get the grade you want. Make sure to watch the videos given for each module; they WILL asked about in the first few questions on each test. Only had to write one essay and it wasn't the worst. Overall, pretty solid.

This class was taken over the summer. Each module had 2 tests and one was unlimited tries and the second one was 2 tries. all of the info came from the book and the PowerPoint. I got the pdf version of the textbook and just copied the questions into the search bar of the book and boom the answers came quick. One paper/project that was semi easy.

Class consists of regular quizzes (2 chances to take), practice quizzes (unlimited chances), an annotated bibliography, and a final exam. Not a lot but the quizzes got tedious. I felt like I was just doing busy work because of the fact that you can take them more than once but on the bright side, it's easy to get an A or B.

Love Dr. Villa, and have taken her multiple times. Lots of online quizzes and a presentation/paper at the end, but the work is pretty easy overall and she guides you every step of the way. Her lectures are easy to understand and personable. Also, she works with service dogs, so if you're in-person expect a couple of cute dogs in class.

I do not recommend this professor for this class. The tests are made up of stupidly specific questions, 100+ slides a week as well as 3 videos to watch usually an hour-long for 2 of them, on top of reading the book chapters. No lecture videos at all, so it is teach yourself. I am still getting a B, but the tests are frustrating and teacher is cold.

For the exams you have two pretests use those 20 questions to create a study guide, then you have 2 tries on the exams itself to improve your score! Use the first exam to add to your study guide if you need too. Discussions are huge but very easy to do! Projects easy! You may have to clarify instructions but shes very sweet but overall amazing!!

This class is organized really well, you get two attempts for quizzes and they're open book, discussions can be a little time-consuming but they're interesting. Honestly, just read the book and highlight some things so they're easier to find when you need to. Videos aren't hard to look through either, speed them up when you can.
