excellent teacher - loves teaching and the subject matter - accessible during office hours - enjoys teaching those of all ages - knows her material - confident in course matter delivery - welcomes questions related to subject matter - uses great visual a
Excellent teacher. Doesn't make boring lectures. Even if you don't know anything about art, you will after you take her class. Very caring person and fun to be with in a class.
She's super easy! It's not difficult to pay attention to lecture, and if you do, you'll be guaranteed an A.
She was a really great teacher--very passionate about the subjects she teaches. Her grading system is fairly easy, there is never any homework. You will earn an "A" as long as you attend class and take good notes.
I LOVE MS. ZULIANI!!! You'll start loving Art when you take her class!
She talks for an hour while showing you slides of art. At first you just see a painting, and when she's done with the lecture, you love it. She makes it very interesting. There is no homework, just a midterm, final and a paper about one painting.
You will love art after you finish this class!
Makes history into an accessible and fun story that you'll find yourself repeating to friends at parties when these very famous works of art are referenced subtely in some other art. Proof that community college can have true Quality.
he is sooooo sweet and her classes are soooo easy.
Ms.Z loves what she does. Her enthusiasm makes for a pleasantly energized and productive learning environment. Having transferred, I am going to miss her terribly. CC is lucky to have her.
great teacher, very passonate about art, the way she lectures makes you love art, throughs a little history of the piece into the lecture, keeps you enjoying her class the whole period.
she's really nice & helpful. there's a midterm, an essay, and the final through out the entire course. as long as you study & take good notes, you'll be fine!
This class is easy as long as you go to class and write down notes. Her lectures are based on her test. Her lectures are not boring or hard, it is unique. She brings slides so you can visually see what she is talking about. If you go to class, take good notes, you will get a good grade.
Could there truly be anyone more wonderful than Diane? The answer is no, atleast not at Chabot College. She is a WONDERFUL teacher, loves what she teaches, and that comes through each and everyday. I have never seen anyone who really does love what they do, and she'll make you love it too. The class
VERY SMART! I really liked her; she is more than happy to go out of her way to help you out. I did not realize how much you can learn from a stupid painting or drawing. I might even change my major from history to art because of how much history I learned.
She is very very passionate about her work. Theres only two papers & no hw. You don't even have to buy the book. Shes very sweet, nice, cool, and funny. She has a bunch of stories to tell you and they're all very interesting. Its like a story telling class. I highly recommend her. Shes FANTASTIC!
Funny and interesting character. She's extremely nice with good sense of humor. Loves her work, loves the students, loves art. And her classes concentrate on teaching you how to appreciate work and makes it enjoyable rather than grilling you on memerizing useless definitions.
EASY A! It's only easy if you're there EVERYDAY and take good notes. Otherwise, easy F for you! (Like she said in beginning of the semester, "all the tests are based on lectures!")
One one page paper, another full 3 page paper, one trip to the oakland museum, midterm consists of 50 questions and one essay question, final consists of of 50 questions with one essay question. Don't MISS class because tests are based on slides. Always kept us in at least 5-10 minutes after becuase she talks ALOT. Overall she is a great teacher!
Class was moderately easy. If you took notes, studied them, you would be prepared for her exams. Her lectures were boring at times, but she tried her best to entertain us with her personal stories and jokes. There only so much entertainment a person can provide about the history of ART! The trip to Oakland museum was interesting though.
Good teacher. Class was a lot better than I would have thought. Show up for class and give even half an effort to the papers and you'll do fine.
Loved her. Although topics weren't very interesting, she made it interesting. Very involved with her work. Funny. Totally got into it. Funny lady. I recommend her
Very easy class. I got perfect scores on most of my tests and essays.
She has a nice personality, funny and very animated. The way she teaches or the way she explains things seem to have lots of hang ups. For instance, she's lost for words most of the times, which causes a lot of pauses then the lecture becomes a skippin cd. Art History isn't the most interesting subject to begin with; if her lectures flowed smoother it would keep me much more alive.
I love Mrs. Zuliani. Her classes are fun and interesting. Id take her class again if i had to.
This teacher is super easy and very sweet. Everything on the tests are all based on the notes, which are some easy ass art terms. so, study those words and ATTEND her class 100% if u want that A b/c tests are also based on her lectures which are easy to remember. And u have to go to museum to do this easy paper. there is optional extra credit too.
Easy class, some memoriztion of dates are necessary for the midterm and final but the class is very relaxed and somewhat intresting. Just go to class and listen to the lectures, textbook is not even necessary
she's greatest teacher u will ever find at chabot. She's easy, her lecture material is so clear, also she's very nice and smile all the time. But if u dun attend her class and do not wrtie good note, u will get bad grade. She's THE BEST teacher tho. I love her
She makes a boring subject fun and interesting! Ive always loved art, but she makes it even more fun. Great teacher!
i love this teacher period. She's nice and fun. Her lecture meterial is so clear too. Take her!! I took her Art 1 class as well and that was fun too. But if you don't show up for the class and do not write notes, you wont get good grade but if you show and take notes, you will do fine
As you can see from other comments, she's a great teacher. I would love to take her again, no questions about it. She's passionate, fun and very knowledgeable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Love, love, love her. Her test are extremely easy. If you put any effort into them at all you will do good. I only got one question wrong on the midterm and that has never happend to me before. Very little homework. She takes attendance randomly but you should go to take good notes. Never opend my text book once. She seems to love her job.
I am not a fan of art but Ms. Zuliani tries her best to make it as interesting as possible. Her lectures can be boring at times but attendance is necessary because the midterms are all based off slides presented during class. Go to class, take down notes and you should be fine.
The best teacher I have ever had for Art. I recommend her to everyone. Her class is very fun, also a great learning experience.
Ms. Zuliani is pretty amazing. SHe gets you interseted in the subject and shows such enthusiasm teaching! I know am an ARt History major because of her!
Sometimes she can drag on stories and facts, definitely not the most concise. But 2 midterms and a paper. The paper isn't hard, the 2 midterms aren't hard, as long as you actually study the list of paintings you need to know. I learned a lot and it was a relatively easy class, never needed the textbook.
Zuliani was pretty cool. She's mellow which makes the class enjoyable. The tests aren't that hard. She gives you study guides which is always appreciated. And especially for a class of 115 students, I'm proud she was able to stay calm the entire semester. It'd be stressful to me! I'd recommend her
She teaches w/passion so art history in her class was never boring.I got so interested w/the class that I never fell asleep even once. She delivers the details quite clearly that it seems like ur becoming a part of the scene. She definitely knows her craft so I highly recommend this teacher.
This is one of the best classes I've ever taken! The teacher is amazing and fun, and totally hot!!!
Diane as a person is wonderful! As a teacher though she tends to go on and on about the same thing (probably because she's passionate). Still I kept falling asleep!! Get an older version of your textbook for cheap and you'll be fine. Just study when it comes time for the tests, she's pretty straightforward with THAT.
She carries some passion in her lectures. Sit, enjoy, and take good notes. She will let you know what will be on the test. There is a book but I think you only use it once. So you may want to join this class with a friend to share a book. Overall she makes the material interesting.
Loved the class her lectures were awesome
This teacher was really fun. I never really liked art, but her class made the subject so fun. I really enjoyed her class.
Zuliani is absolutely amazing! Taking anyone else for your Art history class is ridiculous! I loved her, her class, and her methods of teaching. She is absolutely amazing. Very enthusiatic, funny, and helpful. She knows her stuff! She's the Bomb!
Really good teacher, very passionate with this subject.. Lectures could be a drag sometimes but attending them helps you understand and memorize the material that will show up on the exams. Our grades are based on three things: 2 exams + 1 essay. I definitely recommend taking this class.
She's very funny and animated. Gets really excited about topics. No homework and only takes attendance on first day of class. Book only needed for studying. You have to write a paper on an exhibit you have to go visit in person. Lecture is lots of note-taking. Class doesn't require much but you do have to study to get an A on the tests.
Zuliani is a great teacher. Her class can get boring, but its well worth the easy A! Barely need the book cause test is solely based off the notes she gives in class. TAKE GOOD NOTES TO ACE THIS CLASS. No way to not be able ACE this class. The Tests and 1 assignment was very fun. SHE was so attractive to look at(Looks wise & Personality wise too).
One of the best. She is so passionate about art, i swear she gets off on it. Her lectures are great. The class should be an easy A if you show up.
Coursework includes 1 museum assignment, 1 case study, midterm, and final. Lectures are interesting and Prof Zuliani is extremely passionate about her class. She's actually pretty entertaining! I've definately learned to appreciate art. I bought a book, but it's wasn't needed. All you will need for tests are lecture notes and she gives study guide.
My second class with this teacher. She's fun, but class can be tedious and occasionally dull. She can be pretty feisty at times and she's not afraid to be herself when teaching. Tests are ok, not super easy but not hard either. Never even opened the book. Just take good notes and you'll be fine.
Zuliani is great! Easy class with an amazing woman! She is so educated in art and its history! Only need the book to review for midterm and final. She even goes over them in class! Very helpful and makes it great to take as a GE.
This class is super easy to pass as long as you go to class everday and take notes! Notes will be very helpful for the mid-term, final, and project. No homework. No use of the textbook. Her class is a breeze.
all teachers should be this passionate
I took two Art History courses with Zuliani, a brilliant woman with great passion and zeal for art and the Chabot community. Her course was easy because it was incredibly interesting and it will help contextualize history in general from an artistic perspective, making normally dull topic fascinating again. What a jewel!
Dr. Zuliani cracks me up. She is super passionate about art, and her lectures can be really fun, especially when she talks about "The Last Supper" or Donatello's "David". She loves her students as much as we love her. I recommend her for anybody taking any art class. One of best teachers/classes i have taken <3
This teacher made Art History Interesting! I'm not into art but I really enjoyed this class. She is very animated, and fun.To pass, go to class and take good notes(she tells you what is important and what is going to be on the test)do ALL the assingnment's and you are good to pass with at least a B...Take this class you GPA will that you!
cool laid back teacher!, just dont talk during her lecture she will bust u out lol. All in all shes passionate about what she does which makes the subject interesting to learn about!
I only say attendance is mandatory because the tests are all on lectures she gives. She is one of the best teachers I've had at Chabot so far. She's passionate about what she does, and she loves art. She's really laid back and down to earth.
The class can get boring at times HOWEVER She is very easy, but you need to go to class. Test are mainly on the lectures so if you miss class you won't know how to answer some of her questions. She uses the exact pictures she lectured w/ for the test so just take notes and your good. Didn't even use the book again just take your own notes.
wonderful teacher. Loves her subject.
shes funny and interesting its and easy A as long as you go to class because the test is like all on lectures and there is a museum assignment that is super easy, really love this teacher
I want to say I'm a Chinese student just came here 2 years, and I really enjoy her class. Even Im not so fluence in English, and I dont like histroy class at all, but I feel peace to listen her lecture, it is so nice if you just siting there and listen to her. I wold say if you took her class, you would like to take another class next time! enjoy!
Best teacher. Do everything she says and get an A. take her class! all the test are straight forward, no surprises. very nice and passionate teacher.BEST BEST BEST
THE BEST BEST BEST TEACHER IN ALL ASPECTS! TAKE HER CLASS! EVERY THING IN HER CLASS IS STRAIGHT FORWARD, INCLUDING THE TEST. DO WHAT SHE SAYS AND GET AN A.
Zuliani is an awesome teacher. The class is not boring at all. Every class meeting is very interesting. I enjoyed the class very much. The tests are very easy, as long as you pay attention in class, so attendance is very important. The questions are straight forward, not tricky questions. She tells us story behind each artwork. Fun!
A great teacher who is passionate about art and art history. Her passion for art and history is shown in each of her class presentations - which are more performances than lectures. Her class changed the way I view art and I have a greater respect for it. Would love to take another class from her.
Incredibly PASSIONATE about art history & it is clear as day during her lectures. Although some would argue that she's boring, I on the other hand disagree. She's funny, charismatic, & keeps you interested. Attendance is a must, take good lecture notes, plus 2 museum visits, study & you're good to go. All Q's on exams are covered during lectures.
I took her class 'cause of what I read on here. She does random roll calls. She's strict in her own way, she wants everything her way. She HATES when people go in & out of the room for restrooms, etc. I guess take notes & you'll be okay is what you should know but I had a note taker, I studied, I read & I still left this class with a C? Art History is not hard, it's not a science class but how did I manage to get a B in Microbiology & a C in a easy class. I dont like her teaching style at all!
Oh my god!!! I miss her class sooo much:( Very intersting teacher + very intereting course. The lectures are phenomenal. She will tell you great stories behind every art that she shows in class. Highly recommend this teacher. You will learn sooo much about art from Ms Zuliani and you will never forget them. She's the BESTEST:)
I don't know why every rating on here is something about how good she is. I personally believe that she singles people out. I worked in her class and I studied, I had perfect attendance and did the two assignments but she gave me a C. I did everything possible and felt that I deserved a better grade than received. I don't know what it was about me that she felt like she had to give me a C. It brought down my GPA and I'm trying to transfer. Take her at your own risk.
She speaks clearly and to the point. The 2 exams are taken from lecture material and she gives a study guide that explains EXACTLY what is to be expected. She is particular about a few things, such as leaving while she is speaking. I highly rec this course.
This class was half easy half confusing. In the first couple of weeks she tells you to not take notes and to just listen to her lectures, but when the first exam comes closer the art work she showed in the beginning of class is on the exam. You get points for showing up. She's really into her lectures. She hates disturbance.
Just take notes and take two test. She knows her art history and you will learn.
There is no need for a book when you have teacher like that!
This woman is so easy, and so boring. I almost slept every single lecture. After the semester I requested her to fill out my progress report and she was extremely rude about it. She had everything graded but refused to give it to me because she was to lazy to get it out.
Ms.Zuliani wants the best for her students. I think if you go to class everyday take notes and pay attention easy A. She hates when people get up and leave class, or you try to leave as soon as it's time to go, that was annoying we were off at 11:45 she would stop talking at 11:50. However, one of the best teachers I've ever had.
Best instructor I ever had, best class I ever took. I signed up for Zuliani's Art History 5 because of a friend's recommendation. Subject is not anywhere near my major (Business). She made the subject come alive, I never wanted to miss her class. She is knowledgeable, clear, and in my opinion too patient with the not-ready-for-prime timers.
Love her class so much she is amazing.
Worst professor!!!! Hard Quizzes!!!! Very long Discussion!!!! No extra credit!!!! she does not care if you pass or fail the class!!!! i wouldn't recommend this professor!!!
Professor Zuliani is passionate about Art History and she managed to help me see why it is so important. The subject of art can be very intimidating but she is great at making it approachable, simple and fun. She gives good lectures with enough information to do well on tests and also includes a guided (written) homework assignment to a museum.
Attendance is mandatory as there is no textbook. Her midterm and final are based off of her lecture notes. She has a paper assignment and a museum visit assignment. As long as you attend class and study you will receive a good grade.
This was the first time this class was offered in 3 years. Most of the lecture is in the textbook. I did horribly on my midterm even though I came to every class and took massive notes. The early history focuses a lot on the processesinventor which is where I got lost. You will need to id photos as well in the quizzes. Good Teacher.
Great teacher as she is really inspirational. No textbook is used and you need to take notes from the lectures by yourself. Also you need to go to museum to complete an assignment. Overall it is not hard to get A if you pay attentions in the class.
Tests & papers are most often based on what is discussed in lectures. Will have to refer to text for materials, but she is clear on what she wants the student to take away from the individual class sessions, so it is not hard to determine what to read not give so much time toward.
Easy A if you show up and actually pay attention. No textbook and attendance is graded. Often talks about things irrelevant to the course during lecture, makes it hard to actually pay attention because it makes you feel as if you're wasting your time. Reading a textbook is more interesting than her lectures.
This is a good class, she makes something boring sound awesome. Her teaching method is good. No textbook, no homework, just show up and listen to her talk. Her tests are easy. Only problem is that you have to take 2 trips to exhibits on your own time and turn it in for points. She's a good teacher!!
Showed up for mandatory attendance, slept through every lecture, got an A.
Mrs. Zuliani is my favorite professor ever. Truly there for you, very nice beyond belief, funny, and caring. Class is easy IF you are responsible. No textbook or homework, and she is clear on when you should take notes and what to take away from each class session. Easy A. But it is up to you to cooperate. No one fails her class except by laziness.
she is actually really cool... took her class in spring 2015 was totally awesome... got to go to the museum and stuff... a must take class.
She is very passion about the topic but the lectures are too long and boring. She will talk and talk and sometimes never stop. She is an easy A if you pay attention. But overall she a great teacher.
This class sounds easy but you need to pay attention to detail during lectures. More for Auditory & Visual learners. Need to be there for lectures & roll sheet (attendance is on you) No physical materials so you have to be there. Barely any extra credit. Midterm, 2 chabot gallery visits, OMCA visit & the final. Try not to fall asleep if in 804 :D
Your not going to have to remember dates and stuff like that. It's more like what type of art it is (abstract, Rep and NonRep), what kind of paint is used and stuff like that. She's very passionate about what she teaches, and on some days you'll want to fall asleep. You'll get graded on attendance, you'll get to go to museums and uses 1000pt system
An okay class. Lectures can be long and boring since its art history, sometimes she can ramble and forget her train of thought. Had to fight the urge to fall asleep a couple times. If you miss class you miss a butt load of notes. She'll tell you to ask a classmate for them. Two tests and one group presentation, visiting museum is mandatory.
The professor was very passionate about Art History. No text book required. Attending class is important because the tests are lecture based so you need to take notes. Plus she grades on attendance. You'll end up having to go to an art museum for an assignment but well worth it. I thoroughly enjoyed this class and made sure I didn't miss a day.
BEST PROF EVER. I will never forget her, shes so caring and makes class enjoyable. We had almost like a fieldtrip to Oakland Museum and it was wonderful. She opened my eyes to a whole world I was missing and she really makes you want to learn more. It doesn't matter who you are or your preferences, this is by far best class ever. learned so much.
Great professor. The beginning is quite easy when you learn about Vincent Van Gogh but it get's a bit tougher by week 4-5 when she focuses on you remembering art terms. Test are easy if you look over your notes. It's not interesting if you're not interested in art at all but if you are then she'll have something that'll catch your attention. 10/10.
Zuliani really cares about her students. The only way to fail her class would be to not show up. Her class is lecture based which is why there is no textbook. She told us that she doesn't want her students to pay so much for textbooks, so go to the lectures! Her way of teaching is really easy to follow & understand. Midterm and final aren't hard.
OMG!!! I don't remember education being this much fun. I had a blast taking her class. She has a great sense of humor, and cares about her students so muuuucccch. She made me fall in love with Art history. No textbook, and tests are from your worksheet that she hands out before each lecture. It's an easy A and an absolute blast of a class to take.
She is the best thing since sliced bread. She is very funny yet clear and concise. This was the easiest A I've ever earned but you should still study and put in a little efforts or you'll earn a B or a C.
Ms. Zuiliani is a badass! I would hands down take her class again. She made art history ACTUALLY interesting. I walked out of that class with so much knowledge and appreciation about art history. Attendance is mandatory, but youll actually want to go to class because her lectures are very interesting. Pay attention, study & youll pass!
I would recommend taking this class if you need the credit. There are only 2 tests, midterm and the final. There are only 2 assignments . Make sure to take a lot of notes because there isnt a textbook and there arent any handouts. You are given a study guide for the midterm though. Her lectures are pretty boring, but she has a great personality.
Her lectures were very interesting, just come to class and pay attention and you will pass. She has a awesome personality makes lectures fun. Really enjoyed her class.
LOVE Prof Zuliani! I took her for Multicultural Art History and Non-Western Art. She's such a kind soul, very funny, lightens the mood, very educated and intelligent. She provides the handouts to write notes with lectures/slideshows. No daily homework but participation counts! Her assignments are very easy as long as you pay attention. Take her!!!!
This teacher is very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject material art history. Attendance is mandatory, but I don't ever want to miss a class because she makes all subjects so interesting. All assignments are relative to what is being taught in class. I highly recommend this teacher.
I recommend taking Ms. Zuliani for Art History. There is no textbook so show up and take good notes if you want to pass. She tells you which topics will be on the exams along with which notes to write down. She doesnt post the PowerPoint lectures online so pay attention. There are 1,000 possible points. Take her and youll learn a ton about Art!
One of the nicest teachers I have ever had. Everything that is said in lectures is on the tests. Really passionate about Art History and would totally recommend taking her, easy A.
BEST ART HISTORY 1 TEACHER EVER!!!! All we did in that class are lectures, 2 assignments and gives us what to study for the exams. Attendance will count towards your grade and no textbook required for her class! Youll pass her class in flying colors if you show up on most days, passed the exams, and turning your assignments on time. I got a B.
Professor Zuliani is an amazing story-teller and lecturer! She provides many examples during lecture that will aid with completing assignments and exams. The semester may start off slow but it will become more interesting after the introductory period.
She is an amazing professor! Super kind and understanding, really passionate about the subject she teaches and great story teller. There is rarely any homework and if you show up for lectures, you will do good. The tests are really easy as long as you pay attention because she goes over the content a lot to review.
I loved her! She makes you feel really comfortable. she is very easy to talk to and ask questions to. it is important to attend because the lectures aren't put online. She gives quizzes, a fun project to the Oakland museum, midterms, and final.
Her lectures, particularly in the first few weeks into the class, are simply works of art all on their own! Her passionate storytelling is 5 /5*s, because I doubt you'll find another prof this engaging. An easy A assuming you show up most times, and have a basic working knowledge of art (think what you learned in middle/HS) to up build from.
Her class is very easy no need to even study but shes also an amazing lecturer and keeps you engaged when talking about art work which can be boring a lot, but she makes it interesting and doesnt expect you to memorize artist names, artwork names, or the dates of the artwork!
Zuliani is really cool. She is really passionate about art and sometimes you don't need to take notes in class. I didn't like the midterm before COV 19 because I felt like 90% of the notes I took were useless. It felt like a waste of time. The midterm is still vey easy. There are three exams for the final. Sometimes lectures are boring.
she is an amazing professor who knows her stuff and if you asks questions she will give you a clear and understanding answer. ps: Do not ask about the grey ELEPHANT thats in the room she gives a crazy answer, do it if you want a good laugh, (9 is very big),
She's kinda awkward through the video lectures. She doesn't really assign homework which is kind of a relief. Her grading doesn't make sense for doing retakes for tests. The lectures are all pre-recorded and long and boring.
One of my favorite teachers that I have encountered while taking online classes. Diane has lectures that are filled with great information in words that are easily understandable. She makes art history fun to learn even during COVID. She was also accommodating to students during COVID that had special circumstances which is appreciated.
Prof. Zuliani is really caring and understanding. Definitely listen to her lectures on 2x speed because she talks kind of slow, but extremely passionate about art. If you watch the lectures, it should be an easy A. There's a test like once every 2 weeks or so, she gives more than enough time to review the materials. Grading is clear, no extra cred.
I don't think I got any value out of film history honestly. I completely forgot the title of the movies I had to analyze so I think I forgot at least 90% of the material over the break. The final is easy but if you're only taking this class for CSU or IGTEC requirements, then pretty much all the work you do in this class is pointless.
I don't think I got any value out of art history 3. I don't remember the title of any of the films I had to analyze and I forgot 95% of the material over the break. If you're having her because you're just trying to get by through the CSU or IGTEC requirements, then I don't think you will get anything out of this class.
Love the professor and the class! Most modules consist of just watching lectures and doing a quiz/exam. They were all very easy and doable. She gave the class plenty of time to complete each module. Her lectures are very long so I suggest to fast forward them to get through them faster. Overall 10/10, would recommend!
Just finished art history 1 online and actually miss it. Before covid I took prof Z's film class and really loved it but for online Art history 1 is the BEST online class i've had. You know exactly what's expectec and grading is super clear. Its not hard but LOTS of assignments and tests and NO extra credit so stay on top of or you'll be sorry!
If you're an art student, you might actually be able to learn something. But if you're just doing some transfer credits, this class is definitely not for you, it's a class that requires you to put in a lot of reading time to get an A. Trust me, adjust the video speed to a rate of 1.5 and your life will be much easier if you are taking her online.
took this class in spring 2022, it was decent, you have to put her videos in 2x because she talks like a sloth. In my opinion, it was decent, sometimes I tried the test and I would get a C average score which annoyed me bc it was supposed to be easy. GL
Lectures are heavy & boring. I tried my best for a class that I thought it was going to be easy it turned out to be hard & even when I tried my best it wasn't enough. It was annoying because I got a C for an art class. Embarrassing. Try with another teacher who makes the class fun and actually cares about her students. Definitely a no for me.
Her tests have been stressing me out. The amount of second guessing I had when it should it just click. Some even felt a bit subjective and could have personal double interpretations. Even when I rewatched the lectures a few times, I still end up averaging on tests. There is also no extra credit. Felt more worried about the grade than of interest.
I definitely had a unique experience of learning from a subject that comes from a unique way of teaching. If you plan to take her class in person, you won't regret it because she's really passionate about teaching concepts of art to her audience. She's open to discussions mid-lecture (if related) and she's just very enthusiastic! 10/10 professor!
I really enjoyed taking her course online. It was easy to navigate everything on canvas and the modules were very organized. I personally think that the quizzes/ tests were very easy, as long as you watch the lecture videos you'll do just fine! Would highly recommend the class if you want to learn more about art or if you need it for a requirement.
Online video lectures which were very long but really helpful. I only took this class for the GE req but ending up enjoying it, she is very positive and understanding and made the content engaging. Class itself wasn't too difficult, as long as you watch the lectures you will pass.
Professor Zuliani's ARTH1 class was engaging, with informative video lectures. The quizzes and exams were fair, as long as you watched the lectures and used study tools like Unstuck AI. Overall, a solid GE course worth taking.
She's a great professor. Her canvas is really organized so you can access where everything is by module. Every module, there are multiple lecture videos which are very long but helpful in order to be well prepared for an exam at the end. I feel like I learned a lot about art and the meaning behind it. Highly recommend you take for art history.
Her class consisted of only lecture videos and multiple choice quizzes. Some videos were long but it was helpful to watch them to complete the quizzes. There were only 10-12 questions per quiz and they were pretty easy to complete as long as you watched the lectures. Overall, it was an easy class and the Canvas page was well organized.
I reached out to her and we could have good conversations about the material. She laid out understanding art from a very technical angle, so it became less subjective and you could understand it and point out specific aspects that would lead into subjective appeal. It was fun, not too challenging.
The lectures were very easy to follow along and the exams are a mirror of what she goes over. Not only were the lectures actually interesting and understandable, but the workload is way more manageable than other online classes I've had in the past. You can tell she's passionate about the subject, would def recommend this course.
I love her so much. Great human being!
Lots of stuff to read and watch, but the content is very easy. Grading system is very clear!
