I took her during Maymester so it might be different for regular semesters. She was really funny and entertaining, and always made herself available for help. She gave lots of extra credit and she's really cute!
I had Dr. Moorman for SS1 and she was awesome. She gave extra credit for being in class which helps your grade a lot in the end. She makes the subject interesting and easy to understand. Take her if you can!
She was the best teacher I have ever had. She made the info easy and fun.
Nothing negative to say at all. One of the best professors on campus.
Personal Finance...great professor. Clear expectations and weekly quizzes and assignments can catch you off guard but if you go to class you can do the problems and answer the questions. option for an all calculation final which is also helpful!

easy A
go to class and copy fillins = A+
She is excellent and funny. This was a very enjoyable professor
Dr. Moorman is SO funny! She relates a lot of class material to a real world situation to help with understanding. Fill in the blank notes. Tests a pretty straightforward, although she always threw a random tough question in. Gives extra credit. Overall great professor!
She is so awesome! She made class fun, gave out study guides for tests, dropped lowest test score, gave random extra credit to those in class, etc! She made sure to help out all semester long! Take her!
I took this class because I heard it was really easy and u don't have to study, and don't have to go to class & can still get an easy A. This hasn't been the case so far tho and I have gotten B's before the test. Not as easy as I thought, but she gives lots of extra credit. She's also really funny!
Hands down, one of the best professors I have ever had. I have taken two classes with Moorman and have made easy A's in both. She is absolutely hilarious and totally down to earth. TAKE HER IF YOU CAN!!!!
Dr. Moorman's class is an easy A if you go to class and take all of the attendance quizzes which help you a ton. I got 5 extra points on my final grade from them. The tests are straight forward and you get to drop your lowest test grade. She's a good professor and would recommend taking this class to anyone.
LOVED THIS CLASS! DR.MOORMAN IS VERY WITTY SO IT MAKES CLASS ENJOYABLE. THE MATERIAL WAS EASY AS LONG AS YOU STUDIED A LITTLE AND GOT THE CALCULATIONS DOWN. MAKE SURE TO DO QUIZ/ASSIGNMENTS! VERY IMPORTANT FOR YOUR GRADE! I WOULD TAKE MORE OF HER CLASSES! FRIDAYS ARE USUALLY OPTIONAL FOR THOSE WHO UNDERSTAND THE MATERIAL. TAKE HER IF POSSIBLE!!
This is one of the most interesting and fun classes I have taken! As long as you go to class and read over the notes you will make an A in this class. You can drop one test and there are chances for extra points if you show up to class. Dr. Moorman is very nice and interesting to listen to.
Moorman is awesome. I had this class T/Th at 3:30 but she made it interesting enough for me to want to come. She gives tons of EC which helps your grade alot. Her tests are pretty easy- just study the notes and glance over book if you have time. Looking forward to her personal finance class in the fall.
Had her for Maymester, and she made the class easy to understand. Very funny and energetic beyond words. Pretty attractive too! Not bad to stare at for 2 1/2 hours
Had moorman for hace 3100 and 3200. 3100 is more memorization and 3200 is more finance/math related. Both classes are straightforward and pretty easy as long as you keep up with the material. Tests are easy and she offers alot of extra credit.
Take Moorman for any class you can. She is a great professor and truly makes classes interesting to the point where I wanted to go to them. You do have to study somewhat to get an A though. Reading the textbook helps but is not 100% necessary as only a few test questions derive from it. Go to class as you can earn lots of extra credit points.
Most classes should be renamed Moorman's Opinion on Things That Don't Matter. No book needed. She tests on random dates/facts that aren't relevant to class. Just go to class. If you have an opinion on anything, prepare to be told yours is wrong and force fed hers. I feel bad for the weak minded who now go into the world with the wrong info.
AMAZING! One Word
TO reiterate what was said two post down, she feeds you her own erroneous opinions. Reiterating, she tests over stupid facts and pointless crap, for example, you will hear how Iowa is the greatest place on Earth (where she is from) and be tested over stupid facts about Iowa when really, no cares about the buttcrack of the US.
1.This class should be required, i learned more here than any other class, and important stuff too. 2. Dont get the book 3. study the night before, everything comes from the powerpoints and get an A 4. go to class for the pop quizzes. 5.easy, extremely useful, take it
If you aren't a business major, do not take this class. She tests on random stuff that only she seems to care about. She's just rambles for the entire class period about her powerpoints which only contain 50% useful information. But class is still required since she gave 30! pop quizzes.
Provides very useful information/facts about consumer economics and its history. If you are taking this as a fluff class you will be sadly mistaken, Dr. Moorman knows her stuff and expects us to learn it as well. As for her opinions: she expresses both sides of issues like welfare, teen pregnancy very well. stay away if you are too lazy to work.
She is just a great teacher who makes the class fun an easy to learn.
Useful info! Go to class to get all the extra credit, she will also test about random things she says in class (yes, some of it is stupid and does not pertain to consumer econ). Class is generally interesting and every once in a while we won't have class (random reasons) which is nice too.
Moorman is an interesting, funny lady, but her class is a little boring and useless. Some of the facts were just plain wrong, and her tests were random information that I did not consider important when studying. I would debate recommending the class. She gives lots of extra credit, but make sure to take what she says with a grain of salt.
Most tests were quite easy but can be tricky. A lot of the information she gives is just plain useless and irrelevant to the course. In response to the previous post, she did mention ALOT of things about IOWA.. some of which were on the test. I don't think I'd recommend taking the class. If you really want to learn something(facts), don't take it.
She teaches so that you take home the basics from the course. Not everyone is going to remember everything...and she knows this. So she tries to pound home the core values of the class. Pretty simple class.
Just like pharmacy students take pharmacy classes, HACE students must take HACE classes. This is one of those required HACE classes. If you are NOT a HACE major, then don't take it. And if you are a TERRY student, don't whine if you sign up for the class & then don't like it. Pick a different elective and stay out of ours!
I just finished taking this course for a Maymester. She does mention a lot of things about Iowa, but it was mentioned in reference to relevant topic discussed in the chapter. If you read the chapter, attend every class, and do the assignments, you should not have any problem getting an "A" in this course.Class Attendance= LOTS of Extra Credit
This class in my opinion is harder than HACE 3200, but the format is the same. I would not say this is the easiest class, but definitely one of the more practical courses I've ever taken. Dr. Moorman makes the lectures interesting and fun. I recommend this class to anyone who is looking for 3000+ elective.
Anyone who is actually interested in consumer decisions and economics should run the other way. She is interesting no doubt, but her class is filled with useless information, and no matter how much I studied for her tests, I had no idea what was on them. She also made up a lot of facts that proved her points, that were blatantly false.
Dr. Moorman is a very engaging professor. Her lectures are what they are, but you really learn a lot if you pay attention. The material is relevant to almost everyday life too. Dr. Moorman is from Iowa. She uses the state as an example in many of her lectures, not necessarily a bad thing. Taking her again for HACE 3200...looking forward to it!
This class was pretty straightforward. Read the textbook (at least skim it), do the assignments and quizzes and know the time-value money formulas. I struggle with this stuff and still got an A-. Extra credit is offered frequently as well which helps a lot. If you don't understand something ask. Moorman is a lot of fun and a great lecturer.
Professor Moorman is a great professor. She makes the material interesting and relates it to students' lives. She tells funny stories about her family (related to the material) to keep people interested.
Class is informative and entertaining. Show up to class and do the homework problems and A's are easy. Gives a fair bit of extra credit just for showing up on random days. She has big dreams of getting a "5 chili pepper" rating, but it seems the site has switched to a straight hot or not rating system. I'm sure she'll be terribly heartbroken.
I don't see how anyone wouldn't like her! If you take the time to talk to her before or after class, she's so cool. I feel much more confident about graduating and understanding my personal finances. I'm so grateful that I took her class! You get extra credit just for coming to class most days- what do any of you have to complain about?!?!
Excellent class! It does help to go to class b/c she shows you how to work probs & she does extra credit thruout the yr. Every student should take this course!! And she is awesome!
Great teacher that makes class interesting most of the time. Attendence not manadatory but there is a lot of extra credit if you go to class. Tests are tricky. At least 3 chapter per test and power points to study also. Not a hard class overall but you have to study. I had to work hard for my B+. Oh ya you will learn interesting facts about Iowa :)
Dr. Moorman is an excellent teacher. She brings a lot of energy and charisma into her lectures which can make discussing tax laws actually tolerable. Let us never forget that day she tried to show us a picture of Daniel Craig and crashed her computer resulting in a free day off. Best. Class Cancellation. Ever.
My first Maymester course. It was intense, but Dr. Moorman is wonderful.
I LOVE MRS MOORMAN!! If you have a chance, do yourself a favor and take her. She is funny, has a great attitude, loves teaching, easy tests, and gives tons of extra credit. She makes the class interesting and fun and I even added a minor in HACE. TAKE HER!!
Dr. Moorman makes it hard to do poorly in her class. She gives out a ton of extra credit. You basically just have to show up. No surprises show up on the tests. I wasn't interested in the material before going in, but she made it interesting and easy to understand. You're crazy if you don't take her class!
she's pretty cool but her tests are comprised almost completely of irrelevant statistics you must remember. She gave hella extra credit though so it was fine in the end.
Dr. Moorman is a very lively and passionate professor and teaches you some pretty useful information. Her exams, although somewhat easy, were kind of a pain because it just seemed like it was a bunch of subjective, useless info. The first test mainly focused on women's rights which is not why I enrolled in the class, I enrolled to learn about ECON.
One of the most valuable courses I have taken in college. Moorman is an extremely kind, down-to-earth, likeable lady who wants you to succeed. Tests are straightforward, and she offers extra credit to those who attend class. Take HACE 3200 with her! It teaches skills that you will carry with you throughout life.
The class is probably one of the easiest I have taken at UGA. Also one of the most valuable in terms of things I will actually use in my life. She is really funny and gives an absurd amount of extra credit. If you don't get an A...you really blew it. Take the class as an awesome upper level elective
Dr. Moorman is great! She explains everything and is very helpful when asked questions. She includes real life applications, so I felt like I really took something away from the class, not just enough info to pass the tests. She's funny and tries to engage students with stories. Also gives out a good amount of extra credit just in case.
Easy class just like 3200. Read the book and study her lecture and you should get an A. She gives out a ridiculous amount of extra credit if you go to lecture. Take the class and take her
I had Moorman for HACE3100 and HACE3200 and she is a great professor. Tests are straight from the slides and online homework. Attendance is not mandatory but she gives out tons of extra credit if you go to class...it can boost your final grade A LOT. She's hilarious and I would suggest taking her!
Diann Moorman is a god send. If you do not take her you are missing out. She's one of the most understanding teachers in the world. Always willing to help me move a test to a different date if I had 3 in one week. She's nice, funny, and is always looking out for what is best for her students. Words can't really explain how great Mrs. Moorman is.
Mrs. Moorman is the best teacher I have ever had. She always looks out for what is best for her students and I really enjoyed taking her for 3200 and 3100. She may never know how much I appreciate her.
Hilarious woman. Gives a lot of practical advice. Take this class even if it is not required for you. Will help you with your own personal finances.
She is an awesome lady! Hilarious and always fun! She teaches clearly and concisely. If you need help, just ask. Super easy A if you just log in to elc every day and check your work.
Extra credit is randomly and occasionally given for attendance. She is super nice, understanding, and personable. The material is pretty easy. She gave everyone a 100 for the test right before spring break. Awesome teacher, definitely take if possible.
Dr. Moorman is by far one of the best teachers I have had at UGA. She is very witty, passionate about the course material, but most of all, she truly cares about her students. I highly recommend taking her.
MOOREMAN ROCKS!!!!! She is by far the best professor I have had a UGA. She is very clear and thorough with her lectures. If you don't get something she's more than happy to explain it again. HILARIOUS! You will learn so many life lessons in her class. Highly recommend even if it's just for an elective. You won't be sorry!!
She is a great teacher! Plenty of extra credit opportunities but you have to be in class, attendance not mandatory. Notes are printed out. Tests aren't too difficult but do require you to study for. Taking her classes as often as possible!
Dr. Moorman is awesome! Class attendance isn't a grade but if you show up there is extra credit. You don't need the book really because all of the notes are printed out and available online. You have to go to class to get the fill in the blanks for the notes though. Tests aren't easy but if you study you'll do well.
Professor Moorman is a great professor. I left her classes actually changing how I interacted with people and products in the consumer world drastically. Great class, great teacher. Highly recommend taking her class. I have another class with her next semester and I am excited to take it. Gives extra credit if you show up. Tests are not too hard.
Moorman is super hilarious. She always makes class fun to go to with her jokes. Class is easy and reading is not really needed. She also gives so much extra credit that you can almost always pass with an A. Would take her class again if I could. Online, fill in the blank notes.
I LOVE DIANN. She is incredibly opinionated but so wise. She has a lot of tangents, and they are all funny. She is sarcastic, witty, and personable. As for this class, it wasn't very hard. She posts all notes online, but I just took my own notes. No attendance and SOO MANY EXTRA CREDIT POINTS. Take her. I added a minor just to take her again.
Moormann has funny lectures, and the tests are pretty doable. However, the final is worth 45% so beware. The no technology rule is pretty archaic and she takes it way too literally. Nice woman, though, and she has interesting stories that she tells in class.
Her lectures are great and usually pertain to things that you will encounter in your real life. Although the tests are pretty hard, they are very doable if you put in the time to study. Gives extra credit for attendance and other activities during the semester.
Dr. Moorman was so enthusiastic about what we covered in class and really cared about us. You can get extra credit by just coming to class. I made Bs on 2/3 tests (you get to drop your lowest test grade) and made a C on the final but still made an A in the class. Go to class for the extra credit and read over notes for tests, and you will be fine!
As an international students, i highly recommend you should not take this class! I am very serious !!!!!!
She never takes attendance formally, but often will have a sign in sheet for attendees to get bonus points on random days. She is absolutely hilarious. Her stories are incredible, her sense of humor is dark (which I loved) and her tests (which total up to about 90% of the grade) were fair. All test material comes from lecture notes, not the book.
If you are looking for an easy A , don't take this class. Tests consists of very easy questions, and other questions that you never would have dreamed there would be a question on causing you to get a pretty easy B but not an A. Horrible test maker. Not a good lecturer. Hard to learn from provided notes. Opinionates. But she's a cool person.
Very annoying test questions that are difficult study for. Let me say this differently; the material is very easy, but the way she has her notes and tests set up it is hard to gauge what exactly she wants you to study for. Her tests are unpredictable. Doesn't matter how hard you study.
Very unorganized and unprofessional teacher. Tests are hard to study for because they are unpredictable. She would sometimes go over a chapter and a half the class before the test. Not hard information but she makes it harder than it has to be. If you're looking for an easy A class do not take this one
Her lectures and tests are not consistent with each other. The tests she creates feel like a gotcha game with the poor and ambiguous wording, and although she gives extra credit, she doesn't give that much. After the halfway point of the semester, she rarely gave any. Avoid this class if you are looking to fill your electives with something easy.
This is a GREAT class! I got about 10 extra credit opportunities in the whole semester. Take this instead of intro to psyc or sociology. She's amazing and her TA is also really cool. The information is practical. Textbook is an easy read + quizlets and you'll be fine. 4 tests and 4 online quizzes + extra credit easy A. Take moorman!!!
Fair professor. Lectures aren't bad, if you want to do well on the test, come to class. Exams aren't hard if you come to class. Few Homework assignments and plenty extra credit opportunities if you go to class
Professor Moorman is a great teacher. She's passionate about what she teaches and makes it enjoyable to learn. Tests are directly from the power points, book is helpful but not necessarily needed. Extra credit at least 6 times throughout semester. This class is actually beneficial if you want to be a smart, fiscally responsible adult.
She seems tough at first, but she genuinely cares about students. Tests are hard at times, but she's really great. Makes lectures interesting at times.
Dr. Moorman somehow made learning economics not the worst thing in the world. She is a super kind and funny woman, and a good teacher. She goes through slides very fast, but she posts them online. If you just go through her slides and memorize the info (quizlet is your best friend) then you should be fine. Also, she gives lots of extra credit!!
Major C U Next Tuesday. She knows it's supposed to be a joke class/easy A, but she leaves blanks in the slides that you have to come to class to get. And she makes sure those are test questions. But then, she gets pissed off if anyone has a phone or laptop out (even if you're using it for notes). Really bizarre for such a massive class.
Dr. Moorman is amazing! Go to class cause you NEVER know when she giving EXTRA CREDIT. Those points help your grade and they are added to your exams. Her class is long, boring, but its easy to pass if you go to class, do the quizzes, and extra credit thats (IN CLASS). Beljean isnt useful, BUT @ least 2 Questions on each test are from beljean.
There's a reading packet for the class, but you'll hardly need it. There's a lot of opportunities for extra credit (and they're EASY), but you have to show up to class. She posts notes (fill in the blanks) on eLC, so print them, go to class to get the notes, and study them, because tests come straight from them! Dr. Moorman is the best! Take her!!!
Take her if you have the opportunity! She is absolutely amazing and you will learn so many things that will help you throughout life. By far my favorite class I have taken during college.
Dr. Moorman is the best. She is so much fun and makes the class as interesting as possible. Definitely take one of her classes if you have the chance!
Love Dr. Moorman!! She is really funny and makes lectures enjoyable. Go to class if you want extra credit. She posts all the slides on eLc and the tests are online. It helps to have good notes for the tests because some of the questions are pretty specific. Overall, I would recommend this professor for this course.
She is the best professor I have ever had. She really enjoys her job and explains anything you need with no attitude. Her tests come from the powerpoints she goes over in class and are also posted on ELC. She is amazing.
Dr. Moorman is funny. This class is so painfully easy that lectures are almost impossible to sit through. Most of it is common sense. Tests are all online and can be very specific, but not hard.
Dr. Moorman was a nice lady, but her lectures were so politically driven that I stopped coming to class. She posts everything online and attendance isn't mandatory. Class is pretty easy, but her test questions can be SUPER specific.
Dr. Moorman is by far my favorite professor Ive had at UGA. I have the opportunity to take one of her classes next semester and I couldnt be happier. Shes engaging and makes the class super easy.
Honestly, I didn't go to a single class all semester but still got an A. Her notes are online, and the class was really nice about sharing their notes as well. Her tests are online so you don't have to memorize a lot of information.
Dr. Moorman is one of the best professors at UGA! She cares about her students and the content is relatively easy. 4 online tests and 4 online quizzes make up the entire grade. She offers applied learning opportunities in class that add points to your overall grade, so GO TO CLASS! She posts the lecture notes online.
YES, TAKE HER! I LOVE DIANN!! Best professor at UGA hands down. She will make you realize how often we use economics in our lives everyday as consumers.. I've learned a lot. She is hilarious, content is relevant, and tests are a bit specific & online, just study and you'll do well. I thought about adding a minor just so I could take her again.
I absolutely loved Dr. Moorman. She is a great lecturer and all the content is stuff we all will need to know really soon. All the tests and quizzes are online and quite detailed but not too difficult. She offers lots of extra credit too.
Best UGA professor. Take her if you can she is AWESOME and so funny. She made economics so easy and fun to learn. The university needs more professors like her!!
She wouldnt let me reschedule a test due to a legitimate religious holiday and accused me of using my religion as a way to take a test later. This left a bad taste in my mouth but I received an A in the class
Dr. Moorman was a really chill professor. Attendance isn't necessarily mandatory but I went to help better my understanding, but she also does bonus activities in class every now and then. Tests are online and there's no book. You really have to try not to do well in her class.
Dr. Moorman is very laid back. The tests are all online and based on her lectures. She gives a lot of extra credit in class and out of class online discussions. She posts all her lecture powerpoints online, so showing up is not mandatory. Easy A!
Dr. Moorman 's class is really enjoyable. Tests are online open book and 30 minutes with 30 questions. If you use your phone for the notes (control+f), you can find all the answers for the test within 30 minutes. I didn't study for the tests and got As on almost all of them. I only got a B+ in the class because I forgot to do a test. Don't forget!
Professor Moorman is wonderful. She was very clear about her class policies and grading, with a "no-nonsense" but respectful attitude. Her lectures were hilarious- she always related them to her own strange life events. The class is graded only by three tests and a final exam, but they are all multiple choice and there is tons of extra credit.
I loved Moorman for this class. Content is relatively easy and she gives a lot of bonus points as long as you show up to class the majority of the time. Also easy points with discussion posts, so do those before the exams. The exams are very specific, so they may take a while to finish. However, the exams are online so they're pretty easy.
Dr. Moorman's course is very straight forward... cover a topic for two weeks and take the online exam. Exams can be specific but were fairly easy. Strict on no technology which is ridiculous for the large class size. She funny and very inspirational after telling her abilities to overcome adversities in her own life. Class covers real-world topics.
Absolutely adored Prof Moorman's class. Funny with no filter. Will treat you with respect, as long as it's returned. Test every other week but all lecture notes are online. DO NOT miss a test, strict w that but plenty of EC. Encouraged to use notes and easy to ace every test with doing so. Once had a genuine convo w her, she's caring and real!
She is knowledgable and good at breaking down the material. However, I found several of her lectures to be quite politically driven, which made it difficult to listen from a validity standpoint. I strongly feel that is a professors job to teach how to think- not what to think. Exams were straightforward from the notes, and she offers a lot of EC.
The exams are all online. Powerpoints are posted, so attendance isn't necessary. Every now and then she has extra credit opportunities available during lectures. After the first exam, I stopped attending lectures and was still able to do fine. Very easy A.
I took this class as an elective because it genuinely interested me. I learned a lot and the material isn't hard to comprehend. Tests are online, but you don't get much time. You don't need the book to get and A, but the tests do have specific questions from the book. My cons are that she lectures fast and her slides are unorganized.
Dr. Moorman is honestly such a wonderful professor. She really cares about her students and is there to answer any question you may have. Every test question can be found almost word for word in the PowerPoints. There are 7 tests and a final so be ready to take tests often, but they are online & straightforward. She also offers easy extra credit.
Its graded on 8 tests and one is a final. I do not know if the final is cumulative normally but during the pandemic it was just the same as a test. All tests are online and use a lockdown browser. There is some very easy extra credit if you show up to class. The tests are pretty easy. She is pretty funny too. Great professor
Dr. Moorman is awesome!! Everything she teaches in class and on her PowerPoints are exactly what you can expect to be on the exams. She makes learning the material to be successful in her classes so easy and fun. Absolutely love her and would highly recommend taking any of her classes :)
Class is very easy as long as you watch the lectures. She makes them pretty fun and is clearly knowledgeable. Extra credit is mainly discussion posts that do not take to long and lots of opportunities are provided
Our grade consisted of 7 tests + 1 final, each based on modules with slides, videos, etc. They were open note, easy & straight forward. No homework or other assignments, and no mandatory attendance on zoom or in class.
Took her online during the summer of 2020. We just had 4 tests and a few discussion board extra credit opportunities. She never posted any lecture videos. It was up to you if you wanted to review the notes/learn the material. Tests were open notes and I definitely used the textbook for some questions on the test. Overall, easy class.
Dr. Moorman is a very interesting professor... she makes outdated references in class and after just one lecture it was very obvious that she's from Iowa and loves Dr. Pepper. The material is fine, but there are only tests in this class and that's it for grades. She did post recorded lectures which was nice since this was an asynchronous class.
There are lecture notes, readings, and videos with each module. There are no assignments and are only graded on tests but they are open note and exactly like the lecture notes. You don't really need to read the readings it is just repeated information that are on the slides. And there are easy extra credit discussion posts that are 3 points each.
Shes alright.
Have done well on all of her tests with sparse lecture attendance. The main draw of attendance is the heavy extra credit she gives. Slides are posted online and the book is pretty cheap. She's very funny and conversational. One of the most kind professors I have met.
Dr. Moorman was an amazing professor. She genuinely cares about her students and is accommodating because of it. I would absolutely recommend going to lectures because they are engaging and if you simply go to the lectures, you should not be worried about the tests. Going to the lectures and mild studying should serve you well.
Moorman is funny and a good prof. Her lectures are long, dense, and detailed but the tests are open-note and easy. I barely used the textbook except for during exams. Going to class isnt necessary but will definitely help you because she will give you info for the exam that isnt in the notes and you get extra credit.
I absolutely love Dr. Moorman, she is probably my favorite professor I've had at UGA. Grades are dependent on group projects, but she is very good at keeping all members accountable for their parts. She also gives great feedback and I feel like I learned things I can actually apply in the future. 10/10 recommend her.
I took her for FHCE 3100, she's too inconsistent.
She was amazing and our exams were open notes and she gave us the powerpoint for each lesson
I took her this summer and there are four open note exams and four extra credit easy discussions. The tests come from her lectures and the textbook. I did a monthly subscription with perlego and got the online textbook. I highly recommend taking this class!!
Prof Moorman cares a lot about your grade and free time outside of class. She's got an amazing personality and gets the information across clearly and easily. She posts all of her slides and her tests are a direct copy of her slides and assigned readings so you don't necessarily have to go to class. If you do show up, she'll give EC occasionally.
8 exams in the class but they're all open note and asynchronous. Had around a B average on the exams but I always showed up to class and completed the extra credit on eLC so I'm at over a 100. Phenomenal lecturer and took away so much useful information.
Took the summer course. It's 4 open note exams and 4 easy extra credit discussions. The first 3 tests (60 questions each) are around 22% and the final (100 questions) is 34%. You must read the powerpoints & textbook. It's completely self-study and NO lectures through zoom; Just provides the material. IT TAKES EFFORT to get the A. I had LONG notes.
TAKE PROF MOORMAN. She is phenomenal. I will take her for all of my future FHCE classes. Tests are a breeze if you do the most minuscule amount of studying.
Professor Moorman is one of the best professors at UGA - if there is any way you can get into her class, do it!!! She does not take attendance at all, but if you simply show up you can sometimes receive extra credit or she will straight up tell you a test answer. The tests are online, at home, open book. On top of this, she understands econ 100%!
The class is graded solely based 6-7 unit tests, but they're online, open-note, and straight from the slides. There's also tons of extra credit available. Overall, it's nearly impossible to get a bad grade in this class as long as you take the tests. You don't have to show up to class, but she offers extra credit randomly to those who do.
Fantastic professor! Tests are straightforward if you utilize the slides and optional resources like Unstuck AI. Attendance is mandatory but pays off with easy extra credit. A great class overall.
Dr. Moorman teaches the Zombie Economics FYOS course and it was a very enjoyable freshman experience. Very little work outside of class aside from one natural disaster paper which was quite simple as long as procrastination is avoided. Easy A as an FYOS should be and consistently entertaining.
Free A. No attendence policy, 8 online (open-note, take home, open-google, open-anything) exams. Very easy.
she was nice. filling this out two semesters later lol so don't remember much but she was nice. didn't let you use your phone like at all though. did make me stay in athens for a final exam for the fyos and made me wish i picked a different fyos. she cool and all but i recommend taking one that is 8 weeks instead of 16 weeks
