She is the best teacher ever for my stats class (MGQ 301). This course is little bit hard, but if watch lecture regularly you will get easily "A". If you do well on 4 cases and homework, you will be alright. You don't need to buy textbook, but you might need for you open book final exam, however you can use any statistic's textbook.
Possibly one of the best professors in School of Management, 3 exams of which 2 are online. The final is very easy, just watch the last 3 lecture for the final. Watch the lectures before the cases are due and no one can stop you from getting an A.
Best teacher you could hope to have for a stats class. She's very nice, funny, and keeps things interesting. Cases are easy enough to do alone, homework isn't too bad (best 7 out of 8) and tests are definitely fair. Dianna is a great addition to UB's School of Management faculty--really wish she would've taught MGQ201 as well.
Excellent professor, made the class really easy. Walks you through the final a week before it occurs. Two online tests where you get two chances and weekly homework. Really wish she taught MGQ 201 as well.
She is my favorite pro so far in UB. You get easy A if you watch the lectures regularly. if you do your homework, cases you will be fine, don't miss any hw and cases. She is the best Pro....
She is my most favorite pro so far in UB. You get easy A, if you watch the lectures, do home works and 4 cases on time. she is the best pro and I love her.
Easiest class and best professor ever. If you gotta take stats make sure you take her.
Such a great and caring professor. There should be no reason why you would not get an A. Just watch the lectures and you'll be fine. Very approachable and nice!
Best teacher i have ever had. Truly an inspiration to all students. EXTREMELY FAIR with assignments and tests. Do yourself a favor an watch the lectures. If you can do that you are bound to get nothing other than an A. The school of mgt. needs more professors like Dianna! Simply amazing.
Her class is basically MGB 201 all over again but this time the professor is hot. Assignments are very fair, shes willing to work with you and the tests are open book/notes.... Got a B+ in the class with minimal effort.
One word: perfection. Her class is amazing and she's the best teacher I have ever had at UB. Take her class please, you will not regret it. Easy, Easy A.
I love her, when i stepped into class and looked into her eyes i felt weightless. Shes amazing, my future wife.
The best part is that all the coursework with the exception of the 40% final exam can be done outside of class and in groups. Not bad, just tedious work and basically MGQ201 all over again. She's a nice lady though, too bad the course isn't necessary.
Was one of the best professors i've had at UB. Although it as an online class i went to the lectures. She teaches the material very well, and is good looking so it is a double positive. Would definitely recommend her.
Every lecture, quiz and HW is online. Group projects are fairly easy and may be submitted online. Her A&D assignments are easy AND she does them in class, so all you have to do is watch her lecture videos and mimic everything she does. Thoroughly preps you for final in last 2 or 3 lectures. It's totally ur own fault if you mess this class up.
She is very nice and helpful, strongly recommended!!! as long as you show up in class and listen to lectures, you can get an A.
Textbook not needed. The cases are annoying to do but the class in general is simple. Easy A-
As long as you watch all of the lectures the class is pretty easy. She shows you exactly how to do all the cases/A&D assignments so there is no reason not to get 100 on those. Make sure you attend/watch all the lectures because she does not do any type of review at the end of the semester. Instead of a review, she gives exam questions during class.
Awesome professor! Took her last semester and forgot to leave a review, so I came back to give her one. That's how awesome she is! Very clear in lectures, straight to the point, very helpful and I learned from her class. It's not difficult to get a good grade just do the work by the deadline and you will love her.
If you took AP Stats do not take her!!!! It is way too much work to do stuff already learned.
She is a very, very good professor. Outlines her course very well in the lectures. This class is, however, a lot of work. What makes it bearable is that the assignments are somewhat interesting. Good class but a lot of work - something you should expect from a 300 level class. Make sure you keep up with the lectures - it's detrimental to your grade
Terrible professor and person. UB doesn't offer this course with any other professor which allows her to structure her class in an outrageous way.
Best professor ever! Outlines everything in lecture, if you watch the lectures & take notes you will do well. Cases are annoying but manageable! Tells you everything on final the final 3 weeks!
This is one of the most irritating professors I have ever had to deal with. The only reason to pay any attention to them is so that she can give us the answers to quizzes and homeworks. I would rather run naked into a burning building than have to take any class from her.
This was one of the worst classes. She is egotistic and seems to feel enjoyment out of inflicting pain on students. She gives homework and quizzes uses Pearson mathxl and she openly admits to the inaccuracy of the website but will not change the website used. Homework takes hours of tedious slave work to complete and quizzes are worse.
Excellent professor, but this class is TONS of work. Hours of homework that doesn't help your grade. Cases suck, A&D's are easy. Only good thing is the professor. Answers all questions clearly.
She's very helpful, and makes the class extremely fair. Very high grading scale, but if you pay attention, she'll give you everything you need to know and you can get a good grade. Highly recommend.
The class is a lot of work. The homework's take hours and they don't even help your grade, you just gotta do it to have access to the quizzes that do count. Although she expects a lot, she goes over everything in the lectures so just watch them and you will be fine. Also she let's you use a cheat sheet on the final so make sure to make a good one!
great teacher. if you watch lectures online an do the homework you can get an easy A. the only people who do bad are the ones that dont watch lectures. she gives you everything you need to succeed
Come to class, do the homework and put the effort in and you'll get a good grade. A prior stats class is very valuable and a good calculator should be a requirement
Professor C is knows her stuff, and she genuinely wants students to do well. However it is necessary to watch the lectures, especially towards the end of the class. Math XL is annoying and takes a long time, so plan accordingly. No textbook is necessary.
I was a transfer student and took stat at community college which was harder then this class. Class was easy sometimes she wasnt clear but most of the work she shows you. at the end of the day she does all the work for you and holds your hand
She's extremely helpful when it comes to confusion with anything. The homework's are very long and tedious which are a pain. The group cases are annoying and the A&Ds are very simple. You don't need the textbook but there is a lot of work for this class. Overall she's a good professor. MAKE SURE YOU WATCH THE LECTURES!
Great professor- she adds comic relief to the class. If you watch every lecture you will do just fine.
I absolutely love Professor Cichocki. She is funny and straight forward. Her class is moderately hard, watching lectures is crucial to success. If you do the HW and write all steps down from Math XL it helps with quizzes. She makes a difficult subject enjoyable and does not assume everyone is a math expert. LOVE this professor, a favorite.
Attendance isn't mandatory but is strongly recommended. She'll give away the answers to tests, and the exact sort of problems you can expect to see on the homework and quizzes. Very easy class just as long as you do what she expects of you.
Awesome teacher. Very lively, and enjoys what she teaches. Works hard to clarify anything troublesome.
One of my favorite professors, very easy to do well, just watch the lectures and she lays it all out for you..
Professor Cichocki is AMAZING! Her exams are super easy, she literally gives you the answer in class so if u watch her video lectures then you'll defin get an A. She has a good sense of humor and the class is very interesting to watch online. The workload is fair and there's only 2 exams. WE DEFINITELY NEED MORE PROFESSORS LIKE HER!
This class taught me something I'll forever be grateful for; time management and work ethic. You will have something due every week. As others have mentioned, the homework is long. Start early! A&D/Cases should be easy so long as you watch the lectures. She's great about answering questions and thoroughly prepares you for exams. A great experience.
Overall, she is a fantastic professor. She is extremely clear, helpful, easy to watch in lecture. The only thing is that for the A&D's and cases you have to be careful because she is very picky and will take a lot of points off. Makes you earn your grade, but an A is easily in reach
Great teacher. There is work to do every week, but it's not a heavy amount. She allowed "cheat sheets" for the midterm and final. She did everything in her power to giver you the best chance at an A for the class. If you need to take MGQ301, do whatever you have to to get in her class.
She's really good. The class is a lot of work but the difficulty of the work isn't bad. If you do everything and understand the material, you will get an A. She gives you a cheat sheet for the tests.
Best Professor I have met since ever
Digital Access, rewards you for watching lectures. She is very thorough and she will help you until you understand. Teaches 650 students in one class and is able to give attention to everybody.
You have to watch the lectures, she will plant various slides on something not related to the material in her powerpoints and then ask about them in a quiz or exam to make sure you watch. But, why wouldn't you watch. She is gorgeous.
I love Dianna CIchocki! She is the best professor that I have ever seen. She explain thing really well in her lecture so you must watch all the lecture in order to do well in her class. Also she give out extra credits in her lecture, which is my favorite! Because that's like a treat for the people who watch the lecture.
Quizzes are difficult. Average professor.
Loving this class! NO STRESS! Make sure you do homework and watch lectures!
Everything you want in a Professor. Teaches you the material thoroughly, no surprises on exams, and tells you what you need to do to get an A. Watch lectures because she asks freebie questions on them in exams and quizzes. She is really funny and enthusiastic so its easy to stay focused.
She needs a pay raise. Honestly one of the best professors I've ever had. Not an easy 'A' but definitely doable if you put in the work. You have cheat sheets for the 2 exams, step-by-step videos of the A&D's and lectures where she goes over the cases in high detail. Really no reason you can blame the professor or the course for doing bad.
If she taught any other undergrad business courses, I would definitely take that again. Her lectures are very inspiring, fun, and memorable. She has a warm heart and teaches well, and is the best professor I ever had in the university. Be a friend with her by asking her questions thru email. I would keep her as a friend.
As long as you watch the lectures you should be fine for this class. During these lectures she walks you through problems that will help you prepare for the quizzes and test. Homework is also very important because doing the problems will make the quizzes a lot easier. More professors should be like her. Great class!
Professor C is the yardstick that should be used to measure ideal college professors. Not only does she excel in her knowledge in the subject but the way she teaches forces the content to stay embedded for a very long time. She is as helpful as she is brilliant. However, every diamond has a flaw and the one I felt with this class was the long exams
Professor Cichocki is by far the best professor I have ever had in college thus far. She teaches you in a way that makes it stick with you, and is always open to helping and clarifying things for students. Her grading is very fair and clear and there is no reason not to get an A. If you think she is a bad professor, you are doing college wrong.
Favorite teacher of the semester.
Professor Cichocki is soooo helpful. If you have any questions at all, ask her. She will answer! I took the online version of the class, never once went to the in class session. Usually I have a hard time keeping up with online lectures because they are so boring, but hers are not bad! She's hilarious and entertained and keeps your attention.
DIanna Cichocki is a great teacher. She constantly tries to improve her course from feedback from students, for students. From that aspect alone, she is already an amazing teacher in my eyes, and an amazing person.
okay she really makes you LEARN the material. she makes you get grades really by learning tons, so quiz corrections, there are tons of bonus opportunities, PLEASE DONT SLACK on the online lectures. you will be rewarded! she's a beautiful lady inside and out.
Amazing professor! Watch lectures and you will be rewarded with questions on the exams! Gives tons of opportunities for extra credit, do them! It is a tough course but she makes it enjoyable and easy to learn.
Let me be frank: I hate stats and have a hard time forcing myself to learn it. Luckily, she pounds the concepts into your head and relates them to you in a way that just almost makes sense. She gives you every opportunity to succeed so take them all. Watch her lectures, you will be showered in points and opportunities if you do.
Decent professor, the material itself is somewhat irritating but she makes it bearable. You need to watch lectures and do the online homework assignments. I do wish she included more excel learning in her course outline.
I love this lady. She'll tell you from the very beginning what to expect from her class. She can be your friend also. Great class, just watch lectures (don't skip any) and guaranteed you'll do well.
Cichocki was awesome. She genuinely cares about her students and more so about them understanding the material. Gives quiz corrections and luckily for my class, we had an online midterm. The final is a bit tricky, but study the review she gives and the homeworks and quizzes again, and you'll be fine. Genuinely a great professor and person
My favorite Professor at UB. Dianna really cares about her students doing well and is always willing to help. She gives extra credit on quiz's and tests, which forces you to learn the topic, plus extra credit in college is always good! Lectures were not bad, even taking them online. DO NOT SKIP A LECTURE,
Every person should have the opportunity to take her class. She is an amazing professor who genuinely cares about her students. She keeps the lectures entertaining and goes out of her way to help students (exam review, quizzes, extra credit). Learned so much in Excel which made it that much better. Easy A if you watch the lectures.
Awesome professor I would highly recommend taking her course
Professor Cichocki was an amazing stats professor. I was terrified since I had just taken MGQ201, but she did an amazing job at teaching and reinforcing the material through repetition and examples. WATCH LECTURES! She gives out helpful tidbits, such as what'll be on exams. Homeworks are optional, but definitely do them for the extra credit.
HW and quizzes are all online. If you do the HW and quiz corrections you can get some really awesome extra credit. Mid term is online too so you can get a really good grade if you just take your time and do the HWs beforehand. You get a cheat sheet for the final(in person) which really really helps. Extremely easy class if you watch lecture.
Hands down, the best professor you will ever take. Teaches exactly what you need to know, goes over major points until she knows everyone understands, cares that her students do well, very accessible, clearly loves her job, is extremely knowledgeabl. HW heavy, but it is optional but it is EXTREMELY helpful for quizzes and tests. Amazing professor.
She is definitely amazing. Really easy course as long as you keep yourself up with the lectures! Love her soooo much!
She always gives a lot of examples and is very clear in lectures. If you attend/watch her lectures and take notes, you will understand and do fine. While it is not the easiest class, she does a good job of being thorough and going at a slow pace. The homework can be tough but there is not that much.
First off, pretty good looking woman. and she totally is gonna see this too, but keep doing you Dianna. Great class and really does it for the students understanding of statistics. Wouldnt mind if we had longer than an hour per test but we get all resources during them. All around good class.
My most favorite teacher. She's so funny and gets everything clear. Just follow her class, complete all the assignments and exams. There is an easy A even without having the extra credits. That is a lot though.
Professor Cichocki is a really upbeat and fun person. Stats for Analytics may not be extremely interesting to some but she does a great job making the class exciting. She also knows the material very well. Her lectures guide you through everything you need to know for the homeworks and tests. If you don't watch lecture you will undoubtedly fail.
She is a good professor in teaching stats even she is not my style. She repeated the important concepts a lot of times to make sure you understand. Easy homework, easy quiz, easy tests and easy A as long as you follows her lecture.
After taking this class you'll end up not understanding Stats but you'll remember all of the pretty Excel formulas that did all of the work and ignore the math behind it. She calls this class a "hybrid" but it's clearly an ONLINE class. There's 2 tests, do bad on one of them and there's no way you'll get an A or pass. The most annoying class ever..
I went through this class kicking and screaming, but looking back it has to be one of the most useful classes I've ever taken. The class is DEFINITELY annoying, and the lectures might make you want to pull your hair out sometimes. I'd recommend this class if it wasn't a requirement... But it is a requirement and the prof has 1 million students
Best professor at UB. She is entertaining and really cares about you. She does a really good job explaining how to calculate problems. Her tests are fair. She has a textbook through e-assign that is very to the point. The mystatlab website is amazing and key to this class! I would love to have her again for another class.
One of the best professors at UB for sure. She ended up teaching MGQ 201 due to the absence of another professor but it was an extremely pleasant experience. Herself and the TAs were all super helpful. Just don't fall behind on lectures because you'll be stuck watching them for hours at a time then.
She gives you more than enough opportunities to succeed and walks you through exactly what you need to know. She emphasizes the analysis aspect of stats so you are not just staring at numbers. I would take her again in a heartbeat. One of the best professors at UB. Don't fall behind on lectures; its so easy to do.
I think every MGQ teacher is required to be super annoying. Watching lectures is brutal because she tries to be funny and is just awful to listen to. The class itself is valuable because for a business major you need to know excel so definitely try and learn something but she is awful and the way the class is set up isn't good either.
Professor decided to make it an online class. You have to watch the lectures online whether you like that or not. Unless you like pausing online lectures every 10 seconds to make excel spreadsheet that do everything for you while learning no math skills, avoid at all costs. Very frustrating & unfair to be forced to take this as an online class
midterm and final are very similar to practice tests.
This is the second class that I have taken with her and she is one of the best professors I have ever had. She teaches clearly and makes the material easy to understand. She cares about her students and offers so many extra credit opportunities. I have truly enjoyed her classes.
Cichocki is an amazing professor and shes hilarious. If you make great excel spreadsheets (she gives you a couple), watch all of the module videos, and put in the time and effort, you'll get an A. It's not hard if you know what's going on. Also the homeworks are optional, but good luck getting above a 50 on the quiz. There are quiz corrections too.
One of the best professors I have ever had. The lectures and content videos do take up a substantial amount of time, but you can listen to them at 1.5x to speed things up a bit. Being able to pause the videos and update your Excel templates as you go made this class much easier. Do the HW and quiz corrections and you'll be golden!
Professor Cichocki is the best! Watch ALL of the content videos and you'll be set. She's extremely clear when explaining material and receptive to student feedback. Make sure to try and do the homework on your own before you use her videos explaining it though
Dianna is a good professor. Put in the appropriate work, and it's easy to get an A if you have good templates and have a decent understanding of what's going on.
Professor Cichocki is AMAZING! I really struggled when I took intro stats, but everything turned around when I took intermediate stats with her. She explains everything in a way that makes perfect sense and is VERY available should you reach out. USE THE DISCUSSION BOARD!! If you manage your time and put in the work, you will succeed!!
Is more concerned on whether students are cheating than actually doing well. Switched the whole format of the class and now you have to PAY to take your exams and get proctored by random online people who give horrible directions. Her material is unorganized and she rambles in her lectures. Worst class do not take if you don't have to
While professor cichocki is very knowledgeable about stats, this was the worst class I've taken. Way too many mini lectures to follow and she uses an online proctoring system for exams which is terrible. You have to pay for it and I've had technical difficulties that were just shrugged off by the Prof. Did bad but glad it's over.
During this semester she made the class way more difficult than it needed to be. The exams were horrible and worth 75% of your grade. I watched all content videos and made workbooks for my exams and still received a bad grade. Avoid this class if you can!!
Hws every week, group cases (min projects) every other week. Graded on improvement over the course of the term. Must watch online lectures on pace, otherwise you won't do well. Grading can take time, but it's due to subjectivity of everyone's hws. Very excel heavy. Tries her best to make the class fun and engaging. Gives out extra credit for tests
Prof Cichocki is the best teacher I've had at UB thus far. She is very passionate and cares about her students. Others who have given her bad reviews are likely students that do not try and have poor time management. If you pace yourself, attend office hours (there's many options), WATCH THE LIVE SESSIONS, you will do just fine.
The stats department at UB tries way to hard to be different, their blackboard page will get you lost and for some reason, the university at buffalo thinks that statistics means excel. Someone in a higher power at UB needs to get rid of the current statistics department as they do whats easiest for them and not for the students.
If you have a question regarding anything about the class, good luck getting an answer. If you want to waste an hour and a half of your time every week just to receive 5 minutes of somewhat useful information, then I guess she's for you. But if you want a good professor who actually knows how to teach, then try for someone (anyone) else.
33% less time given for the same amount of questions we had in 201. VERY UNFAIR
The negative comments here are from students who obviously do not pay attention. Professor Cichocki is very clear and if you watch her content videos and weekly videos you will do well. The exam people are complaining about was just like our homework. If you just try, you will get at least a B in the class. The negative comments here are so bias.
Shes so, so nice and really cares about her students. Her videos are so concise and to the point and she really makes taking her class so much easier for students. Shes really funny too!
Diana is by far my favorite professor here at UB. A lot of professors here show up to teach a class a leave immediately after, but not her. She makes a genuine effort to connect to students and make the class as fun as possible. Most importantly, she is actually a super effective teacher. If you ever have the option to take a class with her do it.
This course is tough but not ridiculous. Professor Cichocki is great and really explains everything you could possibly have an answer to. TBH if you just watch the zooms you will do absolutely fine. HWs are all gone over completely and exams are hard but it's so easy to figure out exactly what you need to do to get the grade you want.
Excellent professor & she really cares. She is a generous grader but the course is demanding. You must put your time into this class to earn your A. You'll suffer if you don't attend the TA sessions and do all the MyStats lab assignments. Be prepared to spend a minimum of 20 hrs/week in this class. I easily spent 30 hrs/week to get my A.
If you do the HW and the quiz review before the quiz it will be an easy A for you. Anyone who says the class is hard/fails the quizzes dont put enough effort into the class. She literally gives out extra credit points for free. Easiest 300 level class at UB.
You will have to put in the work but professor Cichocki gives you every opportunity in this class to do well. The whole class is building a template on excel to use on the exams. The more effort you put into the template, the better you will do. The exams are also the same as the review and homework questions.
Avoid her at all costs. Selection of case assignments is lazy and they are outdated and don't apply to the real-world. Arbitrary grader who grades more on personal preference than what the rubric says. Part of her "teaching" is having you watch Crash Course Statistics videos that you could watch on YouTube for free. Not a good teacher.
She gives so many opportunities for extra credit. She is very nice and understanding. She helps a lot with the assignments in class. There are no tests, just quizzes, and projects. The class is a little hard but she allows a cheat sheet on quizzes which helps a ton.
Great professor. Knows what shes talking about
Dianna is a great professor and she is an easy grader. But this course is very demanding. The class sometimes had 3 things due at the same time and I spent about 35 hours a week to get my A. The TA sessions are optional, but it is critical to go to them as the prof doesn't have time to cover problems in class. Great prof, but really tough class.
Average prof, insanely stressful class. I didn't see any value by being in her class. I found the tutoring sessions much more useful. The TAs carried the class with regards to the exams and assignments. I ended up with an A but I don't feel like i really learned anything. A functional template is mandatory for her exams. I would not take her again.
I'm leaving this 5 star rating because I left her a 1 star rating earlier in the semester and that was unfair of me. She was a better teacher than I gave her credit for.
She's at least top 5 in the School of Management. Awesome data modeling course. Even though I got a B+, I felt like this class is so realistic and the concepts are very practical. There's only 1 Final, 5 case studies, and 12 Hws. The case studies are the hardest parts of the course. She is very nice and accessible outside of class.
One of the best business professors! She cares about every one's success and wants every one to excel. Lots of extra credit opportunities and an easy A course. She makes time to help every one, even on weekends. Everything about this instructor is excellent.
She is tough but Fair, You have to do the work to learn it, but if you master it, you will get the grades
the best professor I have ever had! Her lecture was so clear and organized.
You don't need to be good at math to get an A. Tests allow reference sheets, and a lot of emphasis is on HW and a project that you can make corrections for. She posts a lot of helpful lectures but many people skip them since quick Excel tutorials are available anywhere online. There is also a ton of extra credit, it would be hard to fail.
She is very good at explaining things. I'm not sure how much her lectures relate to her homeworks but she goes over it in her review videos. Shenputs a lot of time into making sure students get good skills out of the class. She also gives a lot of extra credit and we are allowed to use cheat sheets on tests. She wants everyone to do good
Prof. Cichocki gives constant opportunities for students to succeed. She's always willing to help when there's an issue and formats her class to make it as easy as possible to get good grades while still having to work for it. Model Professor fr.
Professor Cichocki is fantastic! She and the entire MGQ team are so helpful and really do hold themselves out as being there for all students. This is a really well organized course and the she clearly chooses TAs who know their stuff. All school of management classes should reflect this model because it works!
Easy class after taking MGQ201. Organized the same way. As long as you watch her recorded zoom videos, you'll be good. Go to office hours for semester checkpoints before submitting them!! Pays off.
This class is well structured and I like how she is creative in making lecture videos. Very knowledgeable and she has good skills in teaching and explaining materials. She needs to be a professor for all statistics classes.
Asynchronous learning, in-person recitations. Professor Cichocki is the best professor in the entire SoM and MGQ 301 is unironically easier than 201.
By far the best teacher I encountered.
Solid professor, just a ton (probably too much) content. So many mini videos to watch, and the weight of certain assignments over others is a little odd. Good at teaching though, and TAs are very good.
Terrible TAs don't know how to use Excel and give incorrect directions, along with her lectures that are more like long tangents about nothing than actually teaching any valuable material. Having to rely entirely on external materials to teach myself this class at the moment. The transition to in-person seems to be a disaster for this class.
Best professor ever! She is so kind and is so humble! The way she teaches makes so much sense and simplifies everything done. She answers our questions in the discussion board so quickly. She cares about her students deeply you can tell. I'm definitely taking her for MGQ 301. She allows cheat sheets on the assessments. Amazingggg!!!!
Math was never a strong subject for me, but she made stats fun. At first, it seemed hard with many deliverables. She walks you through all the difficult parts and her lectures are ingrained in my brain. She is funny and passionate about teaching, and it shows. She wants the students to succeed and sets the class up that an A is attainable.
Amazing prof, knows what shes doing and always available! They switched it up this sem by doing group projects which were pretty easy, and also in person lessons which I think weren't that neccesary, they should stick to remote. TAs lowkey dont know what theyre doing but were helpful at times.
Prof Cichocki is fantastic - she and the TAs really support students. The course is well-organized, with helpful videos and resources. Unstuckstudy was a great supplement for study prep. As long as you stay engaged, this class is manageable.
Best professor I've ever had at UB. Extremely dedicated to her students and makes sure she explains everything clearly. Would literally respond to emails at 1am. Love her! Made stats so easy and clearly presented what we needed to know. Will definitely take her in 301. Give this lady a raise!
The best professor in the entire SoM. Honestly is hard to fail as it is EXTREMELY clear what you have to do to succeed and she is incredible at explaining the topics. There was a group project this semester which kinda sucked because it wasn't properly managed but i'm sure professor Cichocki will take the feedback and improve it for next semester.
Cichocki was the most helpful in MGQ 201, and she wasn't even the main prof in the class. She makes it SO EASY for you to succeed, literally giving formulas/answers. I could not recommend her enough, she's also hilarious. Def take her for MGQ 301 if possible
Bad experience with this teacher. Has so sympathy whatsoever. Lectures are boring and not helpful I learned everything myself watching videos. Easy class bad teacher
She is one of the most passionate professors I have ever had! She made me want to change my degree to data analytics.
AMAZING!!!! BEST PROFESSOR I HAD THIS SEMESTER
best professor
She is AMAZING. She's so nice and so genuine. Recitations just teach excel. Class is optional, just time to complete hw. Videos posted online for lecture. Her tests are soo easy. Formula sheet for exam is so helpful. Excel does all calculations. She truly cares for her students. She's such a kind person. UB give her a raise.
Lots of practice...
She is a great professor! She records her lectures so you can look back at them. The notes help you with the graded homework (get multiple tries), so you dont have to guess. Her exams are online, in person but similar to the practice/she gives before the exams, so they are easy. The group projects do count for a lot- but she guides you through it.
The best prof by far at UB. Practically lets you take the exam 3 times as practice before the exams. HW was easy and a good way to learn what you were actually doing. The 4 analysis projects are probably the hardest part of the course but are fair. She deserves her own parking spot.
Get ready to do a lot of practice, keep aside some time for dedicated practice and use her lecture videos, you will pass. She is accessible outside of class and usually responds decently quick. If she asks for attention in class, those are the main points and she also guides you thru HW in class often. Practice the simulation timed Quizzes as well.
Dianna Cichocki has been probably my favorite SOM professor I've ever had. She wants us to succeed. She doesn't throw anything surprising at us. She is so real with us and doesn't just act like a stats professor. She is always giving us that life advice that everything will be okay which is what we need. I'm all done with her classes but wish more.
