As someone stated earlier she would be a better elementary ed. teacher. She can be a redundant with the infor she puts out. Her tests are really easly.
She's very nice and helpful, but sometimes when she talks to me I feel like I'm 5... also, it seems like she doesnt do everything she wants to with the class b/c shes afraid students will be unhappy about doing more work.
I almost failed all of my maths in high school, but I'm doing really well in her class. If you can follow circituous thought patterns, you'll be fine. If you like your info spoonfed to ya, try someone els.
She reminds us of a Dr. Suess character! Teach little kids!

She is a sweet lady, she tries so hard to make everything understandable for you, she is always willing to help you, her tests are pretty easy, she does have a tendency to talk to you like you are 5, she is a nice lady though
PLEEEAAASE for the sake of your college career do NOT take this woman's class, she tries hard to help but she is a horrible teacher. She never stops giving out notes all class, and you never understand what she is saying.

if you want to be treated like you're 3, then take this class. otherwise, DON'T. i think her teaching degree expired 20 years ago, because she can't even do basic math without OUR help... she picks favorites which is sooo annoying.

This woman is so nice. She does everything in her power to make sure the class understands the concepts. If you need help, she is more than willing to help you. I would definitely recomend her to anyone. Lay off her back you inconsiderated people
This is the easiest class I have taken in college. The material is very easy, you don't even need to use a calculator. She is very thorough when she teaches and she means well. She drops the lowest test grade at the end of the semester. Easy A
She is smart but she acts so dumb. She cannot discipline the class if her life depended on it. It is an easy class though. If you ever want to get out early just start packing up and talking. It works everytime.

Although she is a little crazy, she does mean well. She is def an easy A, but isn't that what most of us want? Sometimes she doesn't quite get something, but give her time. She's older, give her a rest. I'm taking her again next semester. Def Reccomend
Take McCready's class. Easy A, she may not understand what someone says, but she means well. She'll help you if you need it. Tests are super easy, if you fail them just drop out of college..theres no hope for you.

Mrs. McCready always offered her students the opportunity to see her after class for additional help. I was usually the only one who went and she helped me soo much. She is probably one of the nicest ladys I have ever met in my life and not only did she help me with math, my worst subject, but we became friends. Take her class, you'll love her.
EASY A...and I HATE math!! Prof. McCready makes it so easy to understand. She doesn't rush through everything like other math profs do. She is a little on the "spacy" side, so be patitient with her. She is extremely nice tho! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I never had a A in math before in my life!
omg she is so sweet! easy A! i hate math and rarely do well in it, but she is so willing to help. she goes slow enough for everyone to understand it, and adds humor during class. yes, she's a bit spacey but she's such a good prof. tests are easy and there is lots of extra credit. no homework either, which is awesome! i'm taking her for 022!:D

One of the nicest ladys I have every meet. She is always smiling and is the cutest little thing. Her class is very easy and she teaches it to you like you are in elementary school which is kind of refreshing from the way we are taught now.

I absolutly loved her, and so did the rest of the class! Shes very nice and very helpful and willing to do anything to help you understand. She goes over things everything until you really know it. Shes like your super sweet, cute grandma! My fav. prof. here so far! I def. recommend her!!!!
I absolutely loved her! She was my favorite professor this semester! She's so cute and sweet and is really easy, but makes it fun, and funny. It seems like my whole class loved her!
best math class ever! I want to adopt her, seriously youll fall in love with this cute little old lady. shes adorable & easy. If you dont do well in her class im sorry but you must be slow. Shes so helpful. and the class is on math that you should of learned in 6th grade if you dont know it, your IQ must be a 4. I'm taking her next semester too!!!

Granted it's been 10 years since I graduated h.s. but I did have calcullus at that time. I thought her class was impossible! She wanted definitions verbatim! All I wanted was methods of teaching elementary children. Plus, I had a bunch of accounting majors taking the class as an elective. She tapered it to their interests, not those of el. ed.
Easy A. Extremely Nice. If you have to take this math course take it with her and you'll get an A if you show up.
This teacher doesnt teach the material. you can go to class but its only to hear stories about antient gods and others about crap that isnt important. she doesnt really care about attendence but is really old and crotchidy
Her class is so easy and the material is gone over multiple times. Her tests are only a few questions. She is very understanding and very helpful. She is funny also. I would definitely recommend her!

Although she's a very sweet teacher and is extrememly kind... i found the class to be boring. Sometimes she forgets what the exact directions she gave was, which is very frustrating, but she's nice enought to give lots of second chances... it's a fairly easy class... but I didn't really learn much out of it
She's the sweetest lady in the world! It was an easy class... and she was an awesome teacher! She loves to help... go visit her if you're not understanding your work! I didn't really use my textbook... her handouts were enough to practice with. Respect her and be at class! She wants you to have a good grade as much as you do!

Horrible professor. Never knew what the hell she was talking about, and treats everyone like you are a baby. She is annoying and a complete pain!!!
She is very wishy-washy. she tends to treat her classes like three year olds and can never make up her mind. other than that she never uses the book or gives you homework and explains everything in class, she was easy, but she was too wishy washy for me.
She comes off as a nice lady, but is very unsure of herself and not very helpful.She can never make up her mind on anything, even the formulas for class.She seems kind until you go to here with a problem: I was in the hospital for a few days and missed a test.She wouldn't let me make it up or do anything to bring my grade up. Not a good professor.
This is the absolute WORST person I ever had as a teacher. She is horrible at her craft and teaches you like your a freakin 2 year old. I literally went from being an honors student in calculus to horrible in Fun of Math I. Don't take her, you WILL regret it.
Wow,where to start. All I'm going to say is that it seems she retired from an elementry school as a math teacher (which she was prob. amazing at teaching younger students aka 7 and 8yrs old).I'm not here to be me, However, if you do get stuck with her, make sure you keep track of nice notes and stay organized,it counts for major points in the end.
Horrible teacher, she cant make up her mind on anything. She thinks she tells you to do something when really you never were told to do it. She does things just for "FUN" when they have nothing to do with the class. She keeps on teaching new stuff even though you have a test coming up, instead of reviewing. Don't take her!!!!
Terrible teacher.. I am very good at math, but she makes everything more complicated then it really is. I am currently taking this and i have to teach myself the chapters. She moves way to quick when she does problems so you have no idea what she is doing up there. If you do take her.. get the book, you will need it to teach yourself.

Okay well if she was my sweet old grandma id love her. But for a math teacher shes not the best. She does things "Just for fun" she doesnt have a good review, her tests arn't that bad but because she teaches so horribly its difficult to get a good grade. If youre good at teaching yourself than take her. But if you want to be taught .. stay clear
Professor McCready is a very nice woman, but she teaches her college students the same way she would teach third graders. I learned from the class, but some of the material I had to teach to myself. She does "just for fun" problems during the class before a test, so you'll have to learn to screen them out of your memory.

Where to begin...she's a very sweet kind lady, but teaches you like your a kindergartner. She also makes things ten times more difficult than it really is so learn the material from the book.
Very nice lady and she is willing to help you with anything because she wants you to do good, but she makes everything harder then it really is! tests are not to bad except they are mostly no calculators =( I would recommend her if you like to figure stuff out on your own but if you need a lot of guidance and clear instructions then stay clear!

She's such a sweetheart =] She is very soft spoken, but she knows how to make the material as easy and understandable as possible. She's definitely open to helping you out if need be. Tests are pretty easy. Not many like her teaching style, but she's overall a good professor.

Lovely lady. She's like a kind grandmother, would have made a great elementary school teacher. Gives extra credit, homework is not mandatory, but can become extra credit. Uses lots of props when teaching lessons. Is obsessed with twins, which was slightly awkward, since my fraternal twin was sitting next to me... ;) She's awesome.

Excellent Teacher. Breaks things down makes everything so clear and easy to understand. Go to class and write your notes and make tests up for extra credit. You'll do well!
She is an amazing teacher. She is extremely helpful. If you visit her in her office she will show you shortcuts. Only 3-4 tests then finals. Study a lot and it is helpful to go to tutoring to be a step ahead of class for clarity.

She's a nice lady and all, but don't bother taking her if you aren't good at math. She can't explain the lessons very well. She's always available for help. But if you're having trouble understand what you're learning it class going to her office hours don't make much of a difference. Wouldn't recommend taking her.
Gentle and polite woman. Never assigns homework. Repetitive during lessons so you get the material down really well. Watch out - gets boring if you are really good at math.

She is a sweet lady but teaches with such a soft voice and the lights dimmed down where it is very hard to concentrate. Her tests are very hard and you will practically need a tutor to teach you the material.
This woman is absolutely horrible. Very nice lady, but DO NOT take her class. You will leave everyclass with an unbearable headache and you will end up going insane. WORST teacher i've ever had in my life!!! If you do not end up withdrawing then YOU WILL, and i repeat WILL fail.
She's very old fashioned. Assigned seats, won't let you get up out of your seat for anything. Also, in order to do well on her tests, you must create your own and if she doesn't like it, she'll make you do it again. The only thing that's nice is that you don't use your book unless you want extra problems to practice.
She is extremely difficult in my opinion. She is very kind, but I struggle every day in that class. She does let you makes tests for extra points on tests though- the only reason I am(barely)passing. She gives me a headache & over complicates things. The class goes by very slowly and is just overall difficult. As a person she's a sweetheart though.

She rambles on about one problem for an entire class. Very boring and not helpful when in need. Does not do a good job explaining problems and leaves you more confused than you already were. I would not suggest taking her class

One of the toughest classes that I took at KU. She doesn't help you unless you ask for it. She is a very tough grader. Unless you are a a plus student in math I wouldn't take her math class. She was never clear and talked way to fast for anyone to understand. She likes everything to be perfect.
She was a absolutely awful teacher. Was never much help even when she tried to explain it. Asked us to do a problem and would give us 2 seconds and continue going on with the notes even if you didn't have them. 20 people withdrew nfrom my class 6 weeks into the semester. I would never suggest anyone to take this class. Absolutely AWFUL!!
Mrs. McCready is a total sweetheart! Just like having your grandmother be your teacher, she takes the time to explain problems and walk you through them. Yes she's a little slow and repetitive sometimes- but she's older, give her a chance. Tests are super easy, she gives you all the info. if you aren't passing- its your own fault.
KU's worst professor! So disappointed I paid good money for this class and learned nothing. You will only pass if you are good at teaching yourself. She is not available for help and is not friendly. I would never recommend anyone taking her. Brace yourself if you are forced into her class. Material presented is very unclear and unorganized.
Everyone who gives her a bad rep is just a terrible student. They expect grades to be handed to them without a thought made -entitlement issues. Students who actually have a of couple brain cells can pass this basic math class. If you have a problem with this kind lady, it's likely you have a problem with your own incompetence.
Class was long and dry, but that's to be expected of math. She's sweet, but boring and not the best teacher. Didn't even open the book once, don't bother getting it. Not much homework, just take good notes, show up to class, USE THE EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITIES, and study and you'll make out with a B-.

I had her for MAT 103, and unfortunately will be taking her again next semester for MAT104. She is really a sweet old lady and very nice, but SHOULD NOT be a teacher. Very confusing, doesn't really teach just goes over examples. She is also very repetitive in her teaching. If i had a choice i would not be retaking her. not an easy A, but can pass.
She will do everything she can to help you. See her during her office hours if you need help in her class. Her tests are multiple choice. She does give extra credit opportunities which will really help so take full advantage . Make sure you practice the problems if you need/want to earn a good grade.
Sweet old woman, but moves very fast and is hard to follow. I am not good at math so this course was very difficult for me to follow. My whole class sat there looking around at each other because no one could follow her fast pace and confusing explanations. Made an easy course harder than it had to be.
Mrs. McCready's class was absolutely brutal to attend. I showed up to every class and sometimes I don't know why I bothered. The material is SO easy and she acted like she was trying to teach us rocket science. She would make you do the same homework multiple times for practice which was ridiculous. Praying I don't get her again for MAT 104.
Professor McCready is a really nice old lady and her material seems really easy but she is hard to follow sometimes. This isn't a hard math class but if you want to do good on the tests you should actually study her notes. Also DO NOT buy the textbook you will never ever use it.
Um, don't take her if you aren't awesome at math because you'll walk out of most classes confused. She's sweet, but just a horrible teacher. Goes really fast and teaches very little of actually what you need to know. Good news is she follows the book so you can teach yourself and pass, but i learned nothing from her. Treats you like babies too.
Well she isn't that bad. She tries to help you and teaches you through examples. Most times I walk out of class confused, but she follows the book closely so you can just teach yourself. Tests are multiple choice and are book tests. She gets crazy when you have your phones out, but she's not intimidating at all. If your good at math your fine.

I am not good at math so it was difficult to follow her. She is a very sweet lady and I often visited her office hours and took advantage of any extra points I could get which I think will help me tremendously in the end. Her tests are not multiple choice and she has a cumulative final which is also not multiple choice. Tough grader.
Nice lady but really not a good Algebra teacher. thought i would do well considering it was algebra but she really wasn't good at teaching the material, also didn't even know how to do some of the problems. In addition, she doesn't put grades up on D2L so its hard to figure out where your standing in the class. Takes attendance every class.

Nice old lady, but not very respected by students. Lectures are long and confusing, but if you can teach yourself and practice, you'll be alright. Boring and difficult to stay awake during the early morning, but could be worse.
The class wasn't too bad, the material was like basic algebra. Mrs. McCready herself I did not enjoy at all. I thought she was very repetitive in her teaching. She calls on people at random whether you know the answer or not. She also calls people out in front of the class sometimes and can be snippy at times. To me she just came off as annoying.
Her lectures and tests to not match up. You will feel extremely prepared and still not get As on tests. She is very nice but just not a good professor..
Somewhat confusing professor with a quirky class but balanced out by being a very nice lady who is easy and fun to talk to. Need to be good at self-teaching material to pass the class but will always help, sometimes immensely, if you seek her out at office hours.
McCready's class can be really difficult but she is a great professor. She's very clear in the way she wants assignments done and offers many opportunities for tons of extra credit. There's usually a good amount of homework assigned but she never checks it and tests can be difficult but if you copy what she does in class you'll pass no problem.
