Im getting an A in the class, but only because I read. His tests are based on the vocabulary and sample tests at the end of each chapter. Also the book has a website for addt'l tests that really help too. Don't expect a good grade unless you put effort in

You better show some respect whenever Professor Wasson's name is brought up! He teaches accounting. For those students who want to get into Acct, this material is CAKE! Just wait till you transfer to a four-year school.

he's not as bad as some of these ratings. though he is sarcastic and rude sometimes, but full of knowledge sometimes funny. tough teacher/material. knows his stuff. but pay attention or you'll fall behind.

Excelent Teacher!! He is hard at first, because he weeds out all the people that normally drop out of community college anyways!. If you are an accounting major take him, or else you will spend three months with Suter learning TCharts and get hammered when you get to a university.

Might seem mean and strict at first, but really is a straight forward teacher. Only lectures about what you really need to know for the tests. But you need to do the reading. Very nice and willing to assist you when you need help. Treats all students lke adults. Also, he doesn't take attendence!

I have had this teacher twice. He does seem to have hard working methods, but once he mellows down he is really good. He explains everything clear and makes sure that you understand it all.

If your majoring in Acct and transferring take him, he teaches the same way at SDSU

Do your homework or die in this class. He is an excellent teacher but has no patience with slackers. You can't fall behind even one class or you're toast. I learned a lot from him and if you wanna' know what acct is like at the big university, take him. He teaches them identically.

..Good & patient teacher, treats & speaks to you like an adult. Goes through each lesson step-by-step. Will drop your lowest test score (out of 4)& provides an extra credit exam at the end! The course may seem challenging; however, he has his way of "understanding" you if you're struggling.

Why do people expect him to pull rabbits out of his a**.This ain't the circus.Comedy show is that way>> People shouldn't blame the teacher for their own lack of discipline. Once u read the book everything makes sense: lectures, problems, practice hmwk etc. You'll realize, what a great teacher: an EXPERT in acct. Make effort=> guaranteed A in class.

Please, give this teacher a break. The ones that are complaining are just wasting their time in college. If you do not like Wasson, you will not like anyone. He is a great proffesor, if only students cared at all.

I took this class in fast track for 101&102. If you are seroius about continuing to university, he is the one you need to take. He wont baby you (which is what many in CommColl want)and if you read and do the suggested assignmts, you will pass. He might not seem approachable but if you do ask him he will help, rmbr stupid ? stupid answer!

He's smart, and he knows accounting like the back of his hand. Yes, he might make a student feel dumb every now and then, but that's because he expects a certain level of competency. Read the book and read the syllabus. Overall, he explained things rather clearly and logically. I will probably take another class with him.

This professor knows how to teach!!.If you are ready to leve high School and go to a university you should take him. Otherwise if you want an easy A, he is not for you. He will answer all your questions, he expects his students to read the book and to really be into the class. Excellent teacher. Look for his ratings for SDSU.

This professor is great!!!! For all those who writes that he's not - here is a little clarification, just in case you forgot - if you work hard, being respectfull and try to do your best - you'll get along with nearly anybody, including Mr. Wasson. For people calling him names - you should be ashamed.. its not him who looks bad, its you.

All these people who say he doesnt like to answer questions are just mad that they are incapable of learning. I didnt attend class for like 2 weeks straight, never got any comment from him and still made the highest grade in the class. If you dont prepare, you will go down. Tests were easy. Study online practice tests.

He was an excellent instructor. He has high standars, which is great if you have them for yourself. I studied and worked hard, my grades showed it.

No teacher has ever made me understand a subject like he did, no homework but studying is necessary for the test

I thought he was very helpful. You need to do your homework assignments to get a better understanding even though he doesn't pick them up. The final is more like extra credit which helped me get an A. Definately do the project it's so easy. Test are easy if you know the material. I definately recommend him and will be taking hime for acct 102.

You must attend the class in order for you to understand the material. Attendance isn't mandatory and it's obvious that the people who miss class don't do as well as the ones who are there.. in a nutshell.. if you're there, you'll get it.

He's a pretty good teacher.easygoing. Definetley knows what he's talking about. When i read the reviews i thought i was screwed, but hes not bad at all. Attendence is up to you. Seriously Mr. Wasson is a great teacher. I really think that he is getting a bad wrap on here. In his class you take charge of you own education. He gives you the tools and its up to you what you do with them. He is not going to hold your hand; but he is very helpful in office hours and is willing to help if you meet him halfway.

GREAT TEACHER! His class is very informative, he's beyond knowledgeable with the material, and he's incredibly helpful. If you read the material before class you'll be fine. This class requires a lot of studying (I honestly studied 4 hours every weekdays) and motivation otherwise you're screwed. Grow up, THIS IS COLLEGE PEOPLE :)

Seriously he is not a bad teacher. You just need to study and read! A got an A and im not a nerd, i really like accounting. I like his classes, just be early!!! The final exam is extra credit. Out of 4 exams and he drops one.

He is a very helpful professor. I honestly think he'll help you if you show you care for the class. Doesn't care about attedance, but missing classes will make exams twice as difficult. He uses software for all homework, the software comes with digital copy of book so you don't really need to buy a book. He will make you read a lot. Make sure to read the chapter before class.

I took Prof. Wasson for both Acc. 101 and 102 and he's great. He doesn't lecture, take attendance, or give a lot of hmwk. He will expect you to come prepared, on time, and to ask questions on anything not understood. 3 exams, drops your lowest one. The final is for extra pts. Overall, cool, just keep up and be prepared before class.

He actually teaches the course material rather than teach how to pass the class.

Great teacher, actually makes you act like a college student by doing your part so make sure you read atleast 5-10pgs into the chp. prior to class because he doesnt really go over ALL material unless you ask. VERY helpful though when asking ?'s. Tests only 25 questions long. easy A IF you read & do your cheat sheet.

Extremely easy course. He allows a page of notes on the exams. Don't just write down definitions, include practice problems. Four tests, drops lowest. 200 points possible in class: three 50 point exams and online homework 50 points. Final is optional and 15 points extra credit. First test is the easiest of them all. So be sure to get a 50 on it. A+

Wasson is a great knowledgeable professor. He expects you to come to class already read the chapter. Quizzes and hw are online and make sure to score high on those as they boost your grade. Four test and one lowest is dropped. In class he answers any questions students have and after that you solve problems from the textbook.
