I have taken this teacher ever since my first semester at hcc. He is the best math teacher I have had in my life. He would answer all of my questions at any time and place. He gives examples from the textbook and I only used the textbook for studying. Very recommendable teacher!

I took his class in fall 2012.I had to put many hours of study at the success center(like I live there)and at home for this class,luckily I have very good study partner. We work well together and at the end hard work pays off. Many of his students don’t realize that he cares about them and wants them to succeed.I feel lucky he was my math teacher.

Attendance is not required but if you attend he will tell you what expect on the exam. Go to class and study the notes you take. He is very smart and treats you like an adult. He is so nice.

Diego is awesome. Lectures are very clear, oeganized and entertaining. He is very funny and friendly. Exams are hard but he tells you exactly what the questions are going to be. He doesnt allow calculator but you can convince him that you need it. First math class that I enjoyed. Way to go!

Easy class, easy A, fun instructor.

summer class was very stressful, in 6 weeks we basically had learned the whole entire trig book. We corrected him a lot during his lectures. I studied a lot from the book, the math book for once was my best friend. I am not sure how he is during fall/spring semester but don't recommend him for a summer course, you will cry yourself to sleep.

Prof. Diego is very approachable, humble and funny. He seems to care for his students very much. This was my first class at southshore and I would not go back to brandon! One problem with his class is that he fell behind because he tried to answer all the questions. Overall a very good experience with him.

8am class. He goes at a reasonable pace. His lectures are very organized. He is very clear. He is funny without knowing it. We took five exams and homework is extra credit. One exam was take home. He did so much to help us out. You can ask questions in class during the lecture with no problems. I liked his style very much.

He is very nice and wants to help you to understand what he is teaching so he will go the extra mile if you ask for help. But you must communicate with him! He is pretty much a math genius which means he somewhat expects more from his students. Overall, he is a friendly guy and a decent teacher. He loves soccer.

I've had some horrible math teachers in my time, but Prof. Grilli is the best! I'm pretty good at math and he explains it well, especially with the small amount of time he has. He starts off each class reviewing what we learned the previous class so we don't forget. Homework is extra credit. Lowest test grade is dropped. He's super sweet too!

Professor Grili was very thorough in his lectures. He has a laid back teaching style and encourages his students to call him by his first name to make things "as informal as possible". Math is already intimidating enough, so I appreciated this. HW is EC & is added to your test score. He does not make you feel intimidated to ask for additional help.

The professor was always prompt and clear as to expectations, and I would have enjoyed taking him in person. My only recommendation would be to give him a semester or two to iron out his online class. My main issue was that the practice tests had no bearing on the actual tests, which made it difficult to know what to study.

Laid back but outstanding professor with great lectures. Homework is optional and helps to give your tests a boost. Exams can be difficult but he saved my semester by replacing my lowest exam grades with the final exam's grade. A definite recommend and I would take him again for another course.

The online course is very organized and easy to follow. The practice test is the same as the exam. He was good at answering my emails and extended the deadline for several assignments. Overall an easy class and a good experience.

Took Diego for College Algebra. Best teacher ever. He explains things very well and is very organized. Grade is based on exams and the final is not mandatory. Homework is extra credit. I just went to class, took notes and study his notes. Very easy. I am taking him again for sure for Precalculus.

Very quick at responding to emails and was extremely helpful. He cares about his students passing and will help if you're struggling. He even made our midterm and final online exams due to some students not being able to make it to a campus! 10/10 - would take another class taught by him.

He's such a great teacher!! If you are a visual person like me and need things explained to you in detail, he's the teacher you've been searching for!! He knows how to teach that's for sure! He explains things so well in a way that is understandable. And the homework is extra credit, you can't beat that. I recommend him 1,000%!!!

Prof. Grilli is an amazing professor. He teaches directly to his test, gives extra credit for homework completion, and really does take the time to explain things and go over problem areas. He knows what he is doing and make sure no one falls behind during class. I like him so much I am taking him for precalc too. I HIGHLY recommend him.

Professor Grilli, was a great teacher. I had him for MAT-1033 (got an A) and MAC-1105. He gives outstanding notes and will help you outside of class. He wants you to succeed. Ask questions and show up for class and you will pass his class. I found this class much harder than the MAT-1033.

I loved Professor Grilli! I enjoyed his class very much. He taught at just the right pace for me, and moved on quickly to other topics when the class grasped the concept. If you like math, this class is wonderful. There are many interactive examples that you do with Professor Grilli during class. He's very caring and understanding.

This was my second math class with Professor Grilli, and I was very happy with his class. If you are a fast learner and math comes naturally to you, this is an excellent class for you, as his teaching style is great for those who learn faster.

I just took prof. Grilli online College Algebra class. The course is very easy to navigate. His response time is amazing. I have taken many courses online and this is one of the better organized.

I just took College Alvebra online. The class was very well organized and very easy to follow. The exams were very easy. Just do homework quizzes. The exam questions were very similar. I was able to communicate with the professor quite easily by email. Do not use Canvas. Just email him directly. He replies almost instantly.

Easy class and cool topics. Very unerstanding professor. I had fallen behind but there is no deadline for homework. Only exams have deadlines. I used proctorU for midterm but took the final with him on campus because I did not want to pay the proctorU fees. Easy A.

I have a horrible track record of math classes so I was VERY hesitant about taking it online. I literally could not have had a better professor, he makes the concepts super easy to understand and gives you unlimited chances to get 100% on your homework. I will definitely be taking him for stats!

Only graded on 4 exams, final is optional and replaces lowest exam score. Exams are curved and extra credit is provided for the optional homework. One of the best math professors I've had, calculus 2 is by no means an easy class but he makes it quite doable. So long as you do the hw and study you should pass.

You need lots of self discipline because everything is laid out from day one and you need to use the online book and mymathlab to teach yourself, but definitely not impossibe

Great teacher! He is a nice funny guy who tries to make math fun. He loves to go into details and always cuts class early. Your grade is strictly on test so you have to be sure to study. You don't need the book but you have to go to class everyday or you will be lost. Homework is not mandatory. Every test he gives you an extra 10 percent.

Although I didnt pass professor Grillis class due to health issues I highly recommend him as a professor. He tried his best to work with me and accommodate me as much as he could. He is quick to respond to emails and is very understanding. The class is very independent though so if you struggle with math I would suggest going to tutoring.

I had a difficult time understanding topics in this class and at the end of the semester I had C but he ended up curving so much that I ended up with an A. He always would return my phone calls and emails and was always willing to help me. He was a very good prof I just didn't like the class so much.

Algebra with him just makes sense. He is very detailed and explains so well. His board organization is amazing and it is very easy to take notes. You don't want to miss class though. He is very intelligent and class goes by fast. Awesome.

Professor Grilli really cares about his students. He is willing to go the extra mile to help his students understand the material taught in order for you to do well on his tests. I truly appreciate his willingness to slow some things down for older students who are going back to school and may need a little additional help. I highly recommend.

Professor Grilli was very understanding and professional. I wished I would have had him for other math classes. He offers extra credit and helps when you need it. If you do the work and put effort in he will get you through.

Professor Grilli was awesome to take online just be sure to read the syllabus because some of the tests are weighted more than others 30% compared to 10%! He is very quick at responding and gave an awesome curve at the end but be sure to study before each test!

Easy going laid back professor work is not that hard understands what students go through

I was nervous taking Grili bc he grades on tests only. Optional HW for 10 pts extra credit and you show your work for partial credit. First test I felt I did bad but ended with a 94 bc of the partial credit. Cheat sheets are allowed for tests. He has an accent but I had no issue with this. Works through problems on board so you can copy and ask Qs.

Professor Grilli is really nice and values his students grades. The only thing I didnt like was he took FOREVER to grade tests, and the tests were the only thing you were graded on... there was homework but it barely counted.

I wish he was my professor with all my maths. He made the class so easy that you will get an easy A if you give time. His proctored exams are 30% each so be aware. I can notsay anything bad about this professor.

The best math professor I have ever had. He explains WHY things are happening the way they are, not just how to do the problems and forget about them. Id take him for all my math classes! HE IS AWESOME. He gives a lot extra credit, and he has a very good teaching skills. And he is patient with students with no math background.l

Took college algebra online and it was super easy. 2 online exams and 2 proctored exams. The proctored exams worth 60% of the class but he let you use a formula sheet on the exams (you have to make the formula sheet yourself), which makes it easy to pass. He seems like a nice guy and I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

The course was difficult for me taking online. However, when I had an issue, he address it. If you do the practice test, take notes because they are exactly similar questions. You have 2 online test and 2 Proctor tests. He's a great instructor.

This class wasn't very easy for me at all to say the least. VOICE YOUR CONCERNS when you have them. He gets right back with you and listens. You will be fine in this class if you don't hesitate to speak up the moment you are having trouble. Would take over, and over again. Not many professors like him.

This is my second time taking professor Grilli. I hate math and both times I have received an A in the class. Not saying the class is easy but she will give you every tool necessary to understand the concepts and if you have any question she is always available to help.

Compassionate math professor that wants you understanding the process vs. focusing solely on memorization. Responded to every message I sent and checked in on group discussions helping everyone. I am horrible at math and felt so comforted throughout the semester-take this professor! He wants his students to succeed and is a gifted teacher!

Take Professor Grilli! You wont regret it. There are no due dates and everything is spaced out evenly. Hes super caring and obviously loves his job. I had so many problems and he gave me extra time/alternatives. He also gives out extra credit the first week of class and his exams are super easy. Answered messages in less than 24 hrs. Hes amazing

I had to have two unexpected surgeries during the semester and Professor Grilli was very understanding, compassionate and accommodating. He allowed me to catch my work up that I was unable to do during my hospitalizations. If you do the assignments and work assigned you should have no problem passing the class. He is an excellent Prof.

He was a great professor. The assignments were easy and you only had 2-3 a week. This included a hw & quiz assignment. He offers easy extra credit at the start of the course. He is very understanding and flexible if you message him with any problems you are having with the course. He did have a few technological issues that could delay you.

The class is not too difficult. Pretty basic algebra. Lessons are from textbooks. Homework on MyLab. The only thing I don't like about this class is having to pay for proctoring the exam. There are two exams and each exam fee is around 34. He does give an option for on-campus testing but I wasn't' able to make it.

Be prepared to turn in work every week. He is nice when it comes to extending deadlines. I only asked twice & he didnt it for me both times. My only problem is the grade thats on MyMathLab does not reflect what is on canvas. The whole semester Im thinking Im passing when really I wasnt.

If you're good at math and don't need instruction, this is the class for you. The modules are clearly laid out at the beginning of the course, MyMathLab is used for all assignments, there's an online textbook and videos. I'm not strong in math, so taking an online, 12 week algebra class was a mistake on my part, but he was very very nice.

TAKE HIM. Best decision I ever made. Calc II is no piece of cake, however having Professor Grilli alongside made it durable and (oddly enough) comforting. This man is a sweetheart. He really cares for his students and want us to succeed. Although he does not teach much, he provides great sources for you to learn from, checking in ever so often.

Really nice guy. I personally struggle a lot with math and my grade was low for a while but if you're okay with math you should do fine. Really easy to reach out to and made instructive videos for each unit (they didn't help me but they helped others). I still give him a good rating for being helpful and nice.

Professor Grilli is AMAZING! I took him for Statistics and I am terrible at math. I cant say statistics itself was easy but he makes it as easy as he possibly can. Each week there is a homework assignment and a quiz. No discussions. Due dates are flexible and quizzes are short. I would definitely take his class again!

Great Professor, he is very understanding and easy to communicate with when needing help, he uses Mymathlab which is very easy to access and has lots of videos (not too long) to follow when your confused. Best Professor ever!

I took this class online and i am not good in math but i got an A. He has alot of homework assignments on MyMathLab and is helpful you can do homework as many times you need, he posts videos, and quizzes with 2 tries and there are 2 proctored exams worth 60% , and another 2 unproctered exams 20% grade on canvas is not right but look at mymathlab

The best teacher I've taken, I passed this class with 105%. If you do homework, you will automatically have a 40% of scale grade. 5% extra credit is given at the beginning of the course. So you don't need to worry about the tests; you only need 25% of 60%( 30% midterm + 30% final) to pass the course.

Professor Grilli was the best! He gives extra credit, and the tests are not too difficult if you take good notes and review the material mentioned in class. He wants every one of his students to pass. The homework also is not too much and is very reasonable.

Professor Grilli was amazing! I told him I was struggling to learn the material and he did a zoom call with me for two hours. He was extremely kind and I am so thankful!

This professor is great at extending the deadline if needed. The lectures are short, which is great, and it explains everything you need to know. We used StatCrunch which made this class so easy. It does all the calculations for you, you just need to know how to use it, which will be taught during the lectures. You can use StatCrunch on the exams!

Summer class so it was fast paced but easy.He is not a tough grader and the structure of the course is simple and easy to follow. He also is very forgiving and responds very quickly and even on weekends. You do have to set aside a decent amount of time to do the work especially once you start getting further into the class, at least for me, TAKE!!!

Great class. It was a bit fast paced but my contributing factor is I work a full time job. I appreciated he had homework due every 3 days but the due dates on them were to be completed by the end of the semester so that was helpful. Quizzes had 2 chances, and test were done on Honor lock. Do the homework, extra credit you will be fine.

The class attendance was not required because it was online, and if you messaged him for assistance, he would react quickly within a day, and I passed the course and would take it again. He is an excellent teacher; therefore, I want to enroll in his next math course.

With him you have the opportunity to get good grades and learn a lot. His explanations are easy to understand and he organizes time very well.

2-4 assignments a week, 4 exam worth 60% of grade, unlocks assignments each week. Great with communication, Gives you enough practice and videos to understand. Honorlock tests and all test are multiple choice and only 21 questions per test. I highly recommend especially if this course is a repeat for you like it was for me. Great professor overall.

When it comes to calculus and clarity, Diego will take an infinite approach to ensure you understand and grasp the material. Calculus isn't for everyone, and like learning any new language, comes with a great deal of effort and work on your part. I am glad I took this class with him, and would do it all over again.

This is the best professor. He will take his time to go through whatever you don't understand and by him just explaining you'll have an awe moment. He takes some time to respond to emails because he's extremely busy with his classes but he will definitely respond.

Where do I start? AMAZING professor. Gives clear and understandable lectures, cares about you, and it's not that hard. I love every bit of this class and I'm sad that it's over. Exams are literally easy if you pay attention (even if you're bad at math). I swear you'll never find a teacher like this.

I won't take a class with him again bc the style made it hard to learn. Do exam review and watch vids and you'll pass. Everything is graded on program. Proctored exams.

Online Class well organized. Videos with solutions for lots of problems on Canvas. Homework and quizzes worth 40%. Four exams worth 60%. Extra credits. At first the grading criteria were confusing. I emailed him and he explained everything. Very fast at answering emails. Available for Zoom meeting. I wish I had taken him in person. Excellent prof

Although the professor is very nice, his grading scheme is very harsh. Exams are worth 75% of the grade with no buffer in between. If you fail one exam do not expect an A in this class. The homework assignments are plentiful and play very little in your grade. If he were to fix his weights on coursework, this class would be highly recommended.

Professor Grilli was very responsive to e-mails. His tests are on honorlock if you take it online. I'd say the tests were about average when it came to difficulty of content, but on the same note if you do the extra credit you should be fine. For my class, extra credit was worth about half a letter grade.

Best experience I could have ever asked for. Calculus is tough, he certainly puts in the time if you do. Given my past experiences, if I had to take this class again, I would not take it with anyone else.

Professor Grilli's class was well-organized with helpful video solutions. The homework and quizzes were manageable, and Unstuck study proved a valuable study aid. Grilli is responsive and accessible - an excellent math professor.

He is incredibly understanding! I had some wifi issues and he responded quickly and gave me time to complete the assignments. Just do your work and communicate. It's max four assignments a week but they are not long.

He honestly is a good professor, he requires 4 exams in a semester, but his syllabus is very detailed and won't leave you confused. Every week he has a new module with lessons, videos, and study questions so it's pretty hard to fail his class.

Professor Grilli is a genuinely kind and caring professor. You can easily pass his class with an A if you dedicate yourself to it. His lectures are so-so, and they contain a TON of videos sometimes. Be ready to skip some of them to save time. Be aware that he is not the greatest online educator (he botched 2 of our 4 exams)

One of the kindest profs. I've taken him before and he's great! However, there is a decent amount of self-learning esp for his 1114. Tests are relatively easy because he provides practice problems similar to the test. Do those and the 3-4 hw assignments per week and you should be good! He lists out every assignment and when lessons should be read.

Very laid back instructor... in fact most the time you don't really hear from him! His videos are very helpful, but overall its majorly a self-taught course. The tests themselves are fairly easy.
