I disagree with the other comments, this professor is very nice and helpfull, you just have to want to learn the material...he is fair and he gives you chances to bring your grade up.

If you know about computer or have have some familiarity with them then this class would be great for ypu because u will be able to learn new things. On the other hand if your not familiar at all with computer the class might require some extra help.But since your online reading this i think you have a good idea of how to get around.

CGS 1060 is a lot of work. You will need to do homework and assignments. The exams include both the pratical and the theoretical part. Now, if you are thinking of taking this class with Diego, I suggest to be on time for class and be prepare to do lots of work. This was a great class, it helped me to learn MS Ppoint and MS Excel so much better. He is an Excellent Professor, respectful and to the point. He is serious and will not tolerate tardies or absences that are unexcused. I do recommend his class, if you pay attention you will learn a lot. Lots of HW but open book. It's always nice to learn about something you use every single day in your life. Though it can be a little boring, Prof. Tibaquira makes it easy. Even though I already knew more than half of the stuff taught, I still learned a lot and I'm glad I took this course with him. He's a great teacher as long as you respect him and are a good student.

He's not so bad. He just wants his students to do well and not slack because at the end of the semester he doesnt change your grade because he likes you. so dont count on that. You have to do all the homeworks and assignments in order to pass the class. The tests dont really affect you that much, mainly classwork and assignments!

This class isn't hard. You need the book for sure. The professor is very clear and direct in what he wants. If you miss a few questions that where wrong in your homework that you knew where correct, you can talk to him about giving you credit for it. His pretty understanding yet very strict person. His also very approachable for any issues.

As long as you show up to class and follow along with his instructions the tests should be no problem at all as they are almost copies of what you review in class. He gave us 1 hour a week of lab to do, and you can do whatever u want on the computer (hopefully his HW) the HW he gives is also a copy of what you do in class with him so its reinforced

Basic networking course. Calendar was set up in advance. There are a lot of 1-2 page papers , quizzes and labs. Read and do the work, it's an easy course. He was fair and always helpful and very responsive.

Great Professor! Very helpful when you need him or when you just don't understand things. I took him for the online class. All work is there and you can work at a fast pace or just go by the deadlines. You can always get in contact with him by phone or email and get a quick response. The assignments were tricky but not impossible to do. They're 3 assignments due ever week but if you pace yourself you will be able to finish the work. While doing the in class work, he explains everything multiple times for you to understand. He is a great professor.

I'm taking CTS1134 online. Easiest class I've ever taken. Easy A/B. Tons of boring long homework. I have learned absolutely nothing. The material is here but it lacks engagements. You need to teach yourself. If you need an easy A take this class online. Just be ready for boring long homework assignments that you will gain nothing from IMO.

yes it does have a lot of homework (c'mon, it took me usually 2 hour a week to complete all weekly assignments) but this class was supposed to meet twice a week, not once like he did. Tibaquira is a very strict professor. He does not tolerate cellphones and earphones. Skip class and you won't pass. Very easy homeworks every week. There is no final for this class. He doesn't care for students at all, he just wants us to be independent.

Prof Tibaquira seems strict at first, but he's actually one of the most caring Professors at MDC. As someone who's not a tech-savvy, trust me when I say he makes this class as easy as possible for us. His lectures are all you need to complete the assignments and he mostly just uses these homeworks to determine your grade. I really recommend him!

His class was easy if you followed the assignment directions - yes there are many assignments however they are not too difficult, and he answers emails within 24 hrs. I like his style of online class and I would take him for every class if you are good at self-pacing and self-studying.

Class is online but it was well organized. The professor was fast responding to emails and questions.

Class was tough at first but we were given all the materials to pass the class and I also got certified Cloud Practitioner. Many resources were provided.

This professor actually replies to emails and sends up to date emails every new homework chapter section detailing what is due and how many assignments there are in each section in order to answer any questions that may arise before we actually ask. All in all, better than Eugene Kinnaird 100% in comparison who never responds to emails

Dr Tibaquira is an amazing professor. There is a lot of work but he cares and makes sure his students have the tools they need to succeed. I've never had a professor who took such an interest in my success. I've taken him for a few classes and will say his feedback and response-time is amazing - you can always count on a reply message.

I took this class along with CTS1120 that he teaches. For this one, it is conducted of 12 APA style assignments, 12 quizzes (non proctored), 12 labs and 13 lab simulations along with 1 proctored exam. This is a 4 credit class and you need TIME. The work isn't hard its just very time consuming. You can pass by doing all the coursework + no exam.

4 credit class so expect a lot of work. Make sure you set aside time for his classes. 15 MLA papers at least 1 page long, 15 simulation labs, 15 live virtual machines, 1 graded discussion, term paper, 1 proctor exam, 15 quizzes (non proctored). Class can be passed without doing the exam. He also is a really nice grader.

Dr. Tibaquira is a no nonsense type of guy. Do you want to pass the class? You can do so with a good amount of effort. Do you want to really LEARN the material and pass certification exams? He will give you all the tools, but ultimately it's up how bad you want it. Semper Fi!

He is a great professor, he cares about his students. He helps you understand and gives you the right resources to understand the class. Grade is based on attendance, homework, and a certification exam that takes only 20% of your grade, meaning you can still pass the class if failed. I wish i could have passed it since is an AWS certification.
