Digby is in one word fabulous! If you have to take a calc class take his. He's clear and fair as long as you do ALL the practice questions he recommends and work fairly hard.

The best Math instructor i have seen! When Digby dies, half of MRC math & ENGG students will fail.

He was never my teacher but always helped me on any questions I had no matter how easy they may have been. He is a true math wiz and only a math wiz can make others understand it...and the coloured pens are just a bouns!

Calculus is hard, but follow 3 rules: take it with Dig, do ALL the homework pages, prepare yourself to receive your A. You need not be good or even passable at math to succeed in his class. Oh yeah, and you do not need to buy that nasty, heavy, expensive text, either. I never cracked mine!

I've never been good at math. I've struggeled beyond reason.. Until I went to Digby's class. I cant believe how easy he made it all seem! Definatly one of my all time favorite profs. I strongly recomend him to ANYONE who strugles in math.

Digby is the smartest mathematician ever. They dont let him teach anythign above caculus 1 because he doesn't have a docotorate, yet he helps out the enginners in every single course from E&M, C++, Vector Mechanics, Calculus 3. I highly recommend Digby. During the beginning of the semester, I tried three different math prof's (including Wen Hua) and ended up sticking with Digby. The entire class consists of notes and examples he writes on the board, I found this extremely helpful for studying.

I will just put it this way. If Digby offered a class at 2:00AM, I would take it. He writes EVERY step down on the chalkboard EVERYTIME. Hard to understand at first, but after a few minutes you get used to it. Very nice man as well. Definately take calc with Digby if you can.

Took the this class over the spring at 8am, Mon-Thurs yet it was absolutely worth. He's always available for help and questions in the math room, and really cared for us to both learn (lots of work in this class) and to get a good grade. Dynamics is one of the hardest 2nd yr courses here at UofC, so if you can take it before transferring DO IT.

One of the nicest profs you will come across. He makes things extremely clear and easy to follow. Unless you have someone who can give you the notes, you can't miss a class as Digby doesn't post notes to black board

I took Cal1200 with him.He was amazing! I thought he just mastered Cals only, but I wished they had assigned him to teach discrete math either. He knows about every single proofs. I can say he knows discrete more then Calculus! imagine..! Take any class with him. do not switch class when you meet him first time..!

He remains the best teacher I've ever had (1997). When a teacher points out a term from one side of the room and incorporates it into an equation on the other side of the room for clarity...outstanding. He's so smart you can see him working out the equation in his head because of his eye movements. Best teacher I've had by a country mile.

Digby is the best calculus teacher at MRU, hands down. Not only are his notes EXTREMELY clear and concise, his style of teaching allows his students to maximize their potential. He is such a wonderful human being and he makes calculus interesting and easy.

If you spend some time memorizing trig identities, Digby will guide you from there. Limits, derivitives, integrals, SIMPLE. Trig is a bit harder, but Digby will help you pull through. Hard class but great prof for it! Calc. 2 in spring semester is a bit too intense, take it winter or fall if possible. Excellent with one on one questions.

Digby was an amazing Stats prof. He allowed us to have multiple cheat sheets for our exams. He literally writes out everything he says so it's like attending a lecture when you look at your notes. Do every question he gives you. Textbook is not needed unless you struggle with math. Highly recommended him as a professor

Digby's teaching style combs through the vast majority of all the details you need to know. He will tell you that the textbook is not mandatory, and replace it with hand-outs to study from for the midterms and quizzes; these are substantial practice to get through the course with an A if you do them, which was my mistake. Show up and do the work.

Hes the best at teaching math so take him if you can. Ive had him as a prof for 2 classes, Calc 1 and stats. His tests are really easy if you show up to class, and hes always in the math help room if you need help.

What you see in class will be on the exams. He tests fairly and is keen on notation. Try to make good notes in person. It's best to contact him personally for 1v1 help than through email questions. When I first got into his class, I was unsure about all his reviews, but I was quickly proven wrong by his great notes and test feedback. I genuinely don't know where to start, there is a special place in heaven for this man. Digby has teaching down to an art. He doesn't tend to overcomplicate things and there were rarely any moments in the course where I felt completely lost, he's also such a wholesome guy. Digby was truly one of the best teachers I have encountered in MRU. Take calc with only this GOAT!!!! Many people don't give him a chance because he has a hard time speaking, but his heavenly way of making notes easily counts for that. On his midterms, he is lenient with marking because of his speech impediment and understands that this creates a conflict to teach clearly. He provides a cheat sheet for the lab final which is awesome. He comes to class every day with a smile.

I always thought I was bad at math and have been failing my entire life but this class literally changed my life. I went from someone who barely passed high school math to getting 100% on one of his midterms. He does have a speech impediment but if you sit at the front, copy all his notes, and do his practice problems he posts, you'll do great.

He understands that some people haven't taken math yet and so he writes everything out. His practice midterms are very good practice. You get graded on 3 midterms and he makes your lowest worth the least. TAKE HIM!
