I had her last fall and wish I had her for every class. She was the best teacher I ever had. Made the class so much fun and she is so smart. She's so cool. I especially found her online materials an invaluable aid. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Dilek will do her best to make sure you understand the material. Not an easy class, but a good teacher to have if you want to have a chance understnading the material. Be ready to study if you take Bio 106 regardless of who the teacher is. THANKS DILEK!!!

Dilek is the $%#^! She explains the material very well and makes her lectures really easy. All of her lectures are given out so that u don't have to buy the book. Her final is really hard but she gives lots of opp. for extra credit. Bottom line this teacher is def. worth taking.

Excellent professor! Lectures and lab are very clear and concise. Very knowledgeable and informative! Extremely enthusiastic and helpful. Ample extra credit and interesting field trip! Dichotomous key is given for use during lab final. Insects seem overwhelming, but just memorize them and you will be fine even without the key for the lab final!

I loved this class! She is very helpful and knowledgeable! Make sure you really know the parts of the organisms you dissect in class... they will be on the lab practical exam.

I took the lecture part online and I felt like she went really fast when she was explaining things for the lab. we didn't go over the lecture part at all (that I could tell). She is a pretty easy grader though (and very nice) and there is one field trip. probably wouldn't recommend taking the lecture online if you aren't good at biology.

She is so sweet & wonderful! Highly recommended! Tells you exactly what you need to know & is at your lab bench for as long as you need her. Does all she can to help you. I asked her for a letter of recommendation and she went above & beyond what I needed, really put a lot of work into it for me. She an amazing person! Take her if you can!

Amazing professor; caring, nice, informative, tries to help as much as possible. The class, esp. the lab, seems much harder than it is. Labs required -not graded - then comes the lab final - tough, but do-able (and not as torturous as anticipated). This is the ideal hybrid class to take. Not a difficult subject to learn from the book alone and she is very interested in helping students. DO the extra credit and you will receive a whole letter grade higher. Take her 106 hybrid class

She is a great professor! She's very helpful & will answer any questions you have. She definitely seems to care that you get the best grade you can, but you need to help yourself if you want her help as well. Her quizzes aren't too difficult, so long as you understand the parts of the lab. For a summer, class it was one of the best! LOVE HER!

I had put this class off for quite a few semesters, and I'm glad I did. I decided to get it over with by taking a summer session hybrid course and ended up with this professor. She's very down to earth and realistic with everything. I would recommend her class to anyone who is worried about taking a bio class!

BIOSCI100 hybrid. Professor really likes the subject and wants students to learn but you have to treat the class as two different classes: One online and one in class. The labs are fun and interesting but will NOT prepare you for quizzes. Do the discussion boards and read. Points add up and can make or break your grade. Great teacher poor setting.

The class was somewhat of a breeze if you read the chapters. The labs are simple but there are 2 lab exams. I suggest keeping your lab write ups because she uses questions from the labs on the exams. You can drop your lowest exam which helps. She's a really nice professor and will work with students who need help. Great at responding to emails.

This professor is amazing. I've taken this class before and failed with a different prof. I'm getting an A with this prof!! Lab quizzes are group. Just show up and you will be fine on the lab exam. Lecture exams are based off the chapter learning objectives and class worksheets.

Took the marine biology hybrid course. So much fun. This professor was so nice, funny, and was always there to answer your questions :) having never taken a college level biology course, and receiving a B+ in her class really speaks how well she teaches. Take her if you can, you won't regret it!

She's by far my favorite professor at COC thus far. Passionate about the material and about her students. Eager to help and answer any questions and is very fun and funny to be around. Even though I found out at the end of the semester that I didn't need this class, I'm glad I took it. Highly recommend her 100%!

Dilek is hands down the best professor I've had. Her passion for biology is so evident and her teaching style is very concise and easy to follow. She does her best to keep lectures exciting with videos to go along with what she is teaching. Her tests are no BS and if you have attended lecture and paid attention, you're pretty much guaranteed an A.

Our class was a 3hour lecture(T)/Lab(TH). At first those lectures were rough but Dilek is really passionate, she makes jokes, shows us videos, & keeps class interesting. Dilek accommodates to her students! I was really struggling but she took the extra time to additionally help me & adjust to my learning style. Dilek is an amazing professor!

Prof. Dilek was awesome! She teaches botany in a way that is easy to learn, supplementing her lectures with videos and relevant HW assignments. She offers extra credit and puts some into each test too. Just study her study guides and you will be fine. Labs were fun and creative. Would take her for any class she offers!

I have never been able to understand this subject until I took her class. She offers Extra Credit questions on Exams, making it much easier to get a higher score. Very clear and straight forward and is always willing to help if you go to her for it. Overall you could not ask for a better Professor! Highly recommended!

I loved this class and this professor. It was a hybrid class, which meant we only came in once a week for labs, and learned the lecture material ourselves. I was pretty worried about the labs and dissections but they were actually pretty easy. The lecture material isn't too hard to grasp if you read the book. Great class she offers extra credit!

Awesome teacher. This is not an easy class where you show up and get a grade. You will have to work for it. She offers ec and study guides for the test which are essential. Show up, pay attention, take notes, work hard, complete the work, and study for the exams. Did not need the textbook, her notes and power points were detailed enough.

The professor explains and lectures on material in a way that can be easily understood. She Is more than fair with questions, grading and extra credit. Gives great handouts for note taking.

Professor Dilek is a great professor. She is very caring and always ready to help. She provides study guides and review sessions when possible. He has 4 mid term tests. She does offer extra credit that involves going on a field trip. I would definitely recommend her she is great. You won't regret taking her.

Honestly it all depends on the student. I'm not good at biology at all, but reading the book actually helped a lot because I wouldn't grasp anything while I was in lecture. There are 4-5 midterms which are way better, than just the one because it'll be 2-3 chapters at a time rather than chapters 1-10 for only 1 big accumulative midterm. Take her!

Dilek Sanver-Wang is one of the dopest teachers in. the. game. Some would argue she is the GOAT in biology. I suck at bio, I'm an english major, but I got B's on the first 2 midterms cuz her lectures are thorough. Lets you know exactly what will be on the upcoming tests (as long as you stay until the end of class)! Extra credit is easy -- things like go on a hike, or draw and label a cell. She's a great instructor.

Professor Sanver Want is great!!! She not only cares a lot about dictating the material in a way that you understand, but is upfront about what you need to study! She is very clear with study guides and review sessions for her expectations on exams. And she also has hilarious videos during lecture!!! Highly recommend above any other professor!

I'm pretty shook that i passed this class. it was a fun class to take and all of the midterms were so easy as long as you study the study guide she gives you then you'll pass

I'm back! I posted on 3/25. Semester's done, got an A because SW is so helpful. TAKE HER IF YOU CAN!! She's very nice and funny and loves the material. Her reviews alone probably boosted my test grades at least a whole grade each time. This woman is a gem. Appreciate her as much as you can.

As long as you study moderately and participate in labs it will be fine considering the ridiculous amounts of extra credit offered. A great teacher who taught me many things about biology and was not boring during lectures.

Professor Wang is an amazing Biology Professor. She is funny and is easy going. I took her Hybrid Bio 100 and it was easy. She gives homework modules that are due at the end of test day. Study guides are handed out around 2 weeks in advance for the test and it has everything you need to know.

Literally the best professor I have had so far at COC. She is so nice and her lectures are not very long and her labs are really fun and she helps you so much. Her tests are really easy if you study the material. If you can memorize the material you can easily pass with an A. She does group quizzes and always offers extra credit! Love that woman!!

Great professor with clear expectations for her class. She makes all the material accessible. The powerpoints and notes help out a lot when it comes down to tests and the finals. One lecture final and one lab final, and she gives you all the study guides you'll need. Not the easiest class, but manageable.

She makes biology interesting! She cared about her students. Her test/finals were straightforward from her study guides, and for labs you work with your lab table. I struggled the first exam but she cared and she gave me options on where I can possibly take my exams. I ended the class with an A. Just study and pay attention to labs. NO TEXTBOOK

Dilek, is honestly one of the most caring teachers that i have met so far. She is truly invested in her students' education and is extremely sweet. She's very understanding when it comes to situations that may happen and will try to help you if you miss a class. That being said, if you miss a lab, you really miss out on what will be on the exams.

She helps guides you through the lesson and I would recommend going to office hours to get your questions answered. Make sure to have good time management and do not wait until last minute to look at the study guide for the exam.

I recently took Professor Dilek before things got switched to online because of the pandemic. I would highly recommend her because she is the most caring, understanding, and dopest professor ever for Bio. She offered extra credit and if you really put time and effort into her class and attend office hours you will pass. No doubt about it.

For my covid people, she does not give any mandatory zoom meetings to attend, which is nice. Everything you need is on the modules, which are not very long. During the exams and quizzes she even lets you go on the modules, where all the answers can be found. You even get 3 attempts to get 100% on the quizzes. She also offers extra credit every week

Zoom sessions are not mandatory but I recommend to attend them. She makes the material easier to understand and lets you retake quizzes to get the higher scores. Her study guides really help for the exams. She's an overall caring and understanding person if you need extra help or need an extension for an assignment she will give it to you.

Professor Wang is the absolute best! This was my first semester in college and she made the experience so great. She genuinely wants her students to do well. Her grading is very clear, she offers extra credit, and she's always available if you need extra help. Lectures aren't mandatory, but I'd highly suggest attending.

When I first started in her class I thought ughhhh what is this a honors Bio 100 class, but it was not. She truly wants her students to know, and be prepared for higher level Biology classes. She really does cares for her students, and is a very caring professor in general!! She is wonderful.

I cannot emphasize enough how much I loved having this professor. She is so nice and she is very flexible. I would take this professor again if I have too. She has a lot of practice quizzes online to go through and offers extra credit on her exams, which she give you the questions that she'll ask you on the extra credit. Highly recommend taking her class!

I did accelerated Bio 100, lecture or lab exam every week after first. Lab quizzes are done as a group and only worth 2 points. I recommend doing the short answer for the first 3 lecture exams then multiple choice for last 2, the answers are literally exactly what's on the slides. Just make sure you study and you'll be good.

She was awesome. Genuinely cares for her students' well-being and wants them to succeed. My class was 8 weeks with an exam every week, but she made it very possible to get a good grade.

Her class was extremely flexible! Labs were in person and lectures were online, but she was so generous with deadlines and provided so many extra resources. Her study guides were extremely accurate to the exams. Overall the class was a breeze and the way she structured it made it enjoyable!
