Overall he is great at teaching this course. I struggled with the content, but if you attend class he really helps to explain the material. He does post his notes online, so if you skip class you can attempt to teach yourself. Tests are 90% of the grade with a final that replaces your lowest grade.

Professor D was a good professor however exams are 90% of the grade. If you take him make sure you take PLENTY of clear and concise notes. The exams were separated into 3 segments; concepts, problems; and an excel 'project' portion. This was for every exam. He offered extra credit in the end but it was not enough to change anything.

I would try to take another professor if possible. It was fine, but I could not understand him well and basically had to teach myself everything. Pay attention in class when he solves things or you won't know how to do them. This is a tough course, especially if you've never taken any Statistics class before. He uses Excel for almost everything.

Professor Dodonova is an amazing professor who makes BSTAT understandable. There are three tests that are divided into three parts: concepts, problems, and Excel that are 90% of the grade and an optional final that replaces the lowest test score; extra credit is offered too. Just be sure to do the homework (10% of the grade) and come to class!

Really awful professor. Summer classes were moved online Bc of COVID and he didnt post lectures, didnt really give us any resources. We were just left with a textbook and webassign and told to figure it out. Blew me off for tutoring. Doesnt care about your grade or that youre learning. Very lazy professor. Waste of money just read the textbook

This class had ungraded HW which allows extra practice if needed. We had 3 tests, 1 excel, 11 quizzes (1 or 2 due weekly), & a cumulative final exam. All tests including the excel had practice exams & detailed steps/solutions except the final. It was VERY helpful. Good for people new to stats. It may seem like a lot but it was laid back.

One of the best professors I've had at KSU. You have to work for an A but it's entirely possible if you put in the effort. I absolutely bombed my first test but because of his grading scale I was able to make a complete comeback. GO TO CLASS. The textbook won't help you and neither will his notes without his in-class explanations. Great guy.

Not sure why there are any negative reviews. For an online class he posts a video explaining the material clearly and has online meetings if you would like further help. Only graded by weekly quizzes and 3 exams but they are easy and he gives you everything you need to succeed. I got an A with maybe 15 hours of studying for the whole semester.

Does an excellent job for a online class. Prerecorded lectures, plus weekly optional live session that counts a extra credit if you attend. Book i not required but may help some people. Follow along with lectures and practice, not a hard class if you pay attention and do the minimum your suppose to.

Lets start wiht one of the biggest pieces and that is the fact his test are very difficult. They are broken up into 3 parts Excel, Concepts, Problems. Concepts is the hardest part due to the vaguer questions. Problems tends to be the easiest part, and excel is 50/50. His lectures are kind of dull but thats usually how it goes with online lectur

I took prof Dodonova for ECON2300 & 3300. He is a great professor and his classes aren't too hard. My advice is to go to class and follow along in excel on all the examples. It will help you learn. The quizzes and tests will be much easier, plus you will learn a lot of excel from this professor.

Be ready to learn everything on your own if you take this professor. All he does during class time is do problems by talking to himself. He does not answer questions thoroughly at all. Overall bad experience, i spent way too much time learning the material for this class.

If your looking for an easy professor for this course in general, there isn't one. The course has the highest turnover rate in Coles college so just be prepared for the workload. Prof. Dodonova isn't insanely difficult, his test are all 3 parts (Excel, Concepts, Problems) but they count for large portions of your grade.

This class is just overall rough no matter who you take it with. Professor Dodonova's lectures are usually pretty bland and consist of him usually doing problems by himself. Very low attendance in class and fairly difficult material. You will probably spend most time teaching yourself the material.

The course material is hard. He lets you attend class online, then posts your classes lecture videos on D2L, and also provides other pre-recorded lecture videos. If you want to attend class and expect to understand the material out of just that do not take this professor. He is fast paced, but provides his students with proper amount of resources.

The course is hard, but Dr. D made it very doable. All materials are posted online, including the class sessions and notes. He always takes time to review and constantly asks for student feedback on how he can make the course better. Dr. D does teach quickly though and it's easy to get lost while in class, but he is always willing to help!

I had no idea what was going on in this class the entire semester and still don't know how I ended up with an A. He assumes we know a lot of stuff in class and if you zone out at all, you get lost and it's hard to catch up to where he is. Attendance isn't mandatory and 99% of class didn't go, but he was nice, his teaching style is just confusing.

Overall, highly recommend. One of my favorite professors in Coles for sure!

I took Professor Dodonova for both ECON 2300 and 3300. He explains every thing very well, and while he does move a bit quickly, you can just watch the lectures again since he records them. That also means you don't have to worry if you need to miss class. There are several attempts for quizzes, and he always reviews before the tests.

He teaches off excel, so if you learn through doing problems by hand/taking notes, this class is not for you. Gives practice exams and quizzes are 4 attempts which is nice. All problems are solved using excel formulas. You always get 2 exams, one covering problems and one covering concepts. His accent can be a little confusing at times.
