Good teacher to take...gives you lots of feedback on your writing. Doesn't hurt that he's quite adorable!!!

Clear in his directions and expectations. Fair in his treatment of students. Entertaining and knowledgeable about the subject. Approachable. He makes learning fun! I learned more in this class than I have in most I've taken. Highly recommend this teacher! (And he is REALLY cute!)

very good teacher. hard on grammar, but he is very focused on you learning your weakness and fixing it. I was really scared taking this english class and i almost dropped it, but he provides such a great enviroment to learn it encouraged me to stay.

He can be a total jerk. He gave me an f cause I cheated on one essay. Total waist.

I figure English 101 is just hard compared to 50. I got a C in 50 so I thought I was ready for 101. Ha! Mr. Keriotis was nice and tried to help. I appreciated that. If you did good in 50, take this class. If you din't do so good, this won't be the class for you. I like the class activities.

Dimitri is by far one of the best teachers I've had at MJC. He is very fun, makes the class interesting, and his passion for English shines through all of his lectures.

Dimitri is one of the best professors at MJC. He's totally HOT, but part of this is due to his passion for teaching. Dimitri is an awesome teacher. His passion for English is expressed in his lectures, he makes it fun to be in class, and he always keeps your attention. He challenges his students, this class isn't easy, he is tuff on grammer, and he's very stiff on the guidelines for every assignment. Take him if you want to learn, but you have to work hard.

Very nice guy. Not easy but he is willing to teach you and show you exactly what he wants. No excuse to fail if you actually want to pass.

Keriotis did an awesome job of teaching and as long as you follow his specifications you'll do awesome. I read so many interesting stories that I still remember.

He is hott in so many ways... he is greek, a very passionate teacher, and an extremely respecful and witty human being. He impacted my life greatly from the mere semester he swept into my class schedule. I would take him over and over again.

Dimitri is not only a great teacher, he is a great example of a human being. This is the type of teacher who enjoys his job and makes it clear that life can be fun. Also, the themes in his class are always things that you will take with you forever.

If you go to class and do what is asked you will do fine, very spacific on what he wants. Makes reading fun.

VERY tough on grammar

He is a great Teacher. He really pounds you big time on grammer. If you do not do well in grammer he is not the teacher for you. But he does have a great energy and the stuff he teaches will stay with you forever. I love him.

Keriotis Rocks! There are four main essays. Two 5-6 page Research papers. I had a lot of trouble in this class because I strayed off topic and did not argue in my papers. Work load requires little less than an hour to do readings to discuss in class. Favorite Keriotis quotes: "What I find Facinating..." and "Hello Class, Welcome to Monday!"

Dimitri is a great teacher. You can tell he loves what he does. He is very tough on grammer tough. The comma stopped me from getting an A, (got a be B). The class discussions are fun and interesting. He is not easy but you will learn to be a better writer, or fail trying.

Amazing teacher! One of the best at MJC! Loves what he is doing and wants his students to as well. Definitely take him. You will be looking forward to class with Dimitri. Absolutely passionate about English and life in general. He also hates commas.

GREAT TEACHER! Keriotis makes English so interesting because he is passionate about what he teaches! I do very well on essays, but there's only one flaw about this class: boring books and one question quizes (worth 10 pts). The books are so confusing that it makes the quizes difficult. Failing quizes will DROP a grade dramatically from an A to C!

With Keriotis, I never missed one day of class! He is hilarious, dedicated, and makes English so much fun. Also, he is a honest grader, and I would love to take another class with him again. Failing daily quizes dropped my grade down a whole letter grade, so read! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND KERIOTIS; plus, he has really good ratings :-).

Helpful, but a tough grader. Fantastic essays aren't enough; missing/failing 10 point quizzes will make your 'A' grade fall to a C. He is passionate about his work & entertaining, however he needs to work on choosing reading material more 'suited for his audience'. A semester of sports-related reading nearly killed me. I wouldn't take him again =(

i enjoyed his class but be prepared to do a lot of writing!!!!

keriotis was great! at the end of class there were hardly a dozen students left. i missed a few classes and got behind, so you must attend...but he makes it fun anyway. he had many great discussions and he really loves his job. he gets to know his students and is honestly one of the best teachers ive ever had. i worked hard for my B!

A very fun and high spirited instructor. He makes class truly enjoyable. Very devoted to his stuidents education. I recomend anyone taking english 50 to try to take his class.

Dimitri is the best teacher I've ever had. I think that if you're getting a bad grade, you deserve it. He is dedicated and expects the same from his students. I have enjoyed writing and discussing literature more that i could've imagined! Do NOT take his course if you are not disciplined.

took spring of 08, let me make this clear HE WILL DESTORY YOUR PAPER!. 1 grade drop per comma error. tested his grading by turning in an assignment that was professionally graded, and received a B on it.CANT TURN ANYTHING IN LATE. 1 grade drop if you are 1 minute late on a paper,then 1 grade drop after each hour. No comprises! do not take this man!

Excellent class. You get what you EARN not what he GIVES you. Great Professor. Always helpful. Inspires students to succeed.

Dimitri is the best English teacher I have ever had! The grade you recieve is the grade you earn. You will learn a lot and have fun as well. Dimitri's English class is for people who want to learn and succeed.

Great teacher. He's funny and he his class is really fun to be in. Two hours seems to go by really fast with the class discussions. The reading is amazing. He has a great choice of books. I passed with an A. I worked hard but didn't have to kill myself over it. I'd totally recommend him. Im bummed that he doesnt teach 101. Take him:)won't regret it

One of the only professors I've taken who doesn't eff around, and that's a VERY good thing. He's really helped me become a better writer. I recommend this prof to anyone.

He totally rocks! His class keeps you focused. The books we read are super interesting and crazy! Just an awesome teacher!

He was basically the best english teacher I have ever had. He does do pop quizes to make sure you've read the material, but that's the only downfall. Otherwise he is very helpful and can be quite funny too. He is always more than willing to help on any assignment. I completely recommend him.

I took him for Eng 50 and totally loved the class. It's more about Eng. to him and you can tell in the books he has you read and discuss in class. You can only miss 4 days total, has quizzes first thing of class on the readings (always read!),goes over tests great. Very to the point, no gray with this guy. Got an A and am terrible at Eng. Try him!

Dimitri is awesome. He has a passion for teaching and its quite exciting. Although he was intimidating at first, he eases up when he sees that you are actually making an effort. Hes incredible I'd reccomend him any day

Mr. Keriotis is a fun teacher. He really likes his students. Plays favoritism and a hard grader on essays. Other than that a fun class

Keriotis is absolutely amazing. He teaches the material very well and chooses excellent books for the students to read. He's very passionate about his work and that passion passes down to his students. His energy and drive make him incredibly attractive. He's also very personal and takes the time to get to know his students. Love him!!

Really good teacher, very passionate, blunt at times, strict.

I took him English 50 and loved him so much that I took him for 101. Best English teacher I have ever had. I would take another class with him in a heartbeat. He is so much fun, but he is extremely blunt and honest. He wants you to do well and will favor you if you put in the effort. I recommend him. He is a fantastic professor.

Dimitri is great teacher who will work with you to make you much better at English. He can be strict about tardiness, or grammar but it really helps your learn. Had him for English 50 and 101. Also he really gets classes to discuss about topics and really opens you up to learning from your classmates.

He is a great teacher. There's a lot of writing and reading, and it is very time consuming. I recommend taking the class by itself, especially if you work full time like me. He is very helpful and there's never a boring moment in class. He makes everyone laugh.

Had him for Englihs 50. Lots of reading. Kicked me out one day for not doing the reading. Can be way too into it. Don't EVEN think of texting in class cause the dude will lose it.

Took Keriotis for Chicano Lit. It was the hardest class I've ever had but it was by far one of the best classes I've ever had. He really gets into it.

I had Dimitri for eng 50. I thought he's great! He's layed back but what ever you do read the books, he quizes on the reading.Don't text in class or be absent alot and your good.Overall good profesor if you just do what he tells you. He don't ask for that much.

Makes the class fun and exciting. I was never really into English until I took this class. Very helpful, you can call him up on his cell to ask questions, e-mail, or office hours. Lots of reading but as long as your paper is interesting you will earn a good grade. He does not grade to hard on spelling. Overall great teacher.

Excellent teacher.He cares for his students.In 101, we wrote about five essays, and a big research paper. After being in his class I am more confident in my writing, and essays aren't a dread now. He is strict with your attendance-more then 2x absent and he will drop you, unless it's past the drop date. He is also strict with grammar/punctuation.

One of the best teachers I've had at MJC. He was very helpful and entertaining. He gives a lot of work, but it is easy. If you do the work and do the essays the way HE wants them you will be fine. Easy A if you put in the effort.

Amazing professor! I absolutely loved his class and teaching method. He played the devil's advocate and made me think. He is so helpful as long as you visit his office hours, which you should take advantage of. He has a wealth of knowledge that he is just waiting to share.

He seriously cares about his student's learning experience. You will learn more in his class about English than you ever did in all four years in high school combined.He forces you to think critically and he expands your mind to issues that were never thought deeply before. If you want an awesome learning experience, take his class.

Dimitri Keriotis is one of a kind. He uses the discussions to empower you to think critically. I've never enjoyed a class more. There's a lot of assignments and reading -in that sense, the class is not easy. But, if you do your best, participate, and do the work you will do well. Dimitri is real, passionate, honest, hysterical, and quite charming.

Best English teacher ever! He hold discussion in his class that are very interesting and mind/eye opening. He has a great personality that makes class fun. You must attend class and do all work if you expect an A or high B. You will not regret taking his English class.

Interesting class, but very difficult.

Loved this class. Dimitri does a wonderful job of getting you to think like a writer. Having the class read and then critique your writing in class was exciting, and nerve wracking- but worth every bead of sweat. A lot more writing than I anticipated, but that's a writer's job- to write.

Hybrid course. Difficult but entertaining. Lots of reading, lots of writing. Some assignments were opened Tuesday at 2p due Thursday at 2p, which defeats the purpose of taking a hybrid class if you work and require flexibility. Dimitri is a good man, fine teacher, and is passionate about reading.

Dimitri is one of the best teachers I have ever had. I took the hybrid thursday class. I would have liked online work to be due by the following class instead of saturday. Lots of essays. We read 4 books. Lots of reading quizzes. Extra credit offered. I definitely recommend this teacher. Funny. Smart. Enthusiastic.

His class is very easy if you do the homework. He can be funny at times and loves broth. He is very strict about his essay grading, but in the end it helps you to improve which is what you are here for. Overall a good quality professor and I really liked this class.

If you want to be an English Major I would recommend taking his class, otherwise his class is pretty difficult; Mainly due to short time allotments for out of class assignments since you can't work ahead of the class pace, except for your research paper and reading ahead.

Where do I begin! He is just great! Makes things very clear and simple to how he wants things with grammar and essays. Simple goes a long way. You read a lot but it makes a difference in your writing. Just read. He quizzes on reading. Class is interactive. He is into justice. He's cool. Just participate. He give a lot of time for essays.

Professor Keriotis is awesome! Very funny guy who includes the whole class in our discussions. He is there for you and all around a great professor. Do the work and you will be fine.

I greatly enjoyed taking his class. He challenges you as a writer to unpack more than what is on the surface. He chooses themes that make you think about life in a different perspective. Highly recommend taking him for 101 and Optimism for 103. That is, if you can handle a challenge and want to actually become a better writer.

Keriotis is a great! He loves what he does, and truly cares for his students. He involves all students during lecture. Grades must be earned, so as long as you show up and don't put off assignments (which are listed with due dates in his syllabus) it's not so bad. If you enjoy a challenge and really want to increase your writing ability, take him!

Dimitri is awesome but he is a tough Professor. I took him during the summer and I have never been pushed so hard in a class. I finished with a B, sadly but it wasn't for lack of trying. This class really helps you with your writing skills and Dimitri gives good feedback. When you meet him he is funny and knowledgeable!

He choses dense books to read but takes it slow. Do the reading, show up to class, you'll pass. If you're worried about attendance, the hybrid class is a good option. He makes it easy to do the online thing. He's fun, but don't have your phone out in class. I'd definitely take his class again.

I took this class 4 years ago and still think of how incredible this experience was. Simply put, Dimitri Keriotis is and always will be my most cherished teacher. He's funny, tough, and rewarding. Dimitri is rich knowledge and experience, so take advantage and learn as much as possible. Also, the readings were so enthralling I kept all his books.

I was skeptical at first about taking this class, but after I dont regret it. I learned so many new skills I will use in all my papers. Gives great feedback. Highly recommend this class.

Not super bad. Tough grader but if you actually listen to how he wants things it won't be hard to pass. Has a weird obsession with broth.

This was without a doubt the hardest class I have ever taken. You have to be great at writing & grammar to get an A, I am not. I ate and bled books, homework, and essays for the grade I got. He was a challenging professor but I definitely learned a lot from his class. He does not give ANY extra credit and to pass you must follow grading criteria.
