One of the best profs i ever head, he explained the material in a way i could understand. Instead of cramming info in our heads he spent time helping us. This is the first course i got an A+ in. I would go on but there is no more room to write

The guy below me: Poor accent? You on drugs? This guy is 1 of the few in our school that can speak proper English! He's really nice guy and an awesome prof. He knows his stuff down cold. You'd be an idiot if you couldn't understand what he's talking about. Go to this guy's class before it fills up!

An excellent prof. Notes aren't always useful or complete, but he explains things well, and tries to make student's life easy. He answers questions clearly.

Simply the best prof in Electrical Engineering...in ALL aspects. Speaks clearly, explains well, helps you anytime and talks TO you and not DOWN to you like some of the other profs in the department. Plus...he really is HOT!

Excellent prof...i leave his class understanding what he lectured about. Imagine that! It's no mystery why he won a teaching award last year.

Explains well, with good examples. unlike other electrical engineering prof. he talks fluent english and is HOT.

This guy is amazing. He knows how to teach and speaks english properly. He is the best prof so far I had.

He's the best prof I've seen so far. He explains everything clearly. He'll actually make you like the stuff you are learning. Suprisingly, he speaks proper English. Good job.

The only good thing about him is that he speaks english fluently BUT his teaching is not that good he just copy from paper on the board without explaining clearly he teaches soooo fast and if you don't have previous knowledge you don't undrestand at all!

Greatest prof! Great notes! Great Class! But....long exam! Go to his class if you want to understand. He should teach more classes...

The best prof I had in my 4 years in the program. No other prof came close to teaching so well. Ryerson is lucky to have him!

He definitely knows his stuff on image processing and is definitely one of the brightest and best profs in the department. He is also an excellent grad supervisor. A really nice guy as well that you can relate to because he knows how you feel. He's been there before! If you like image processing or multimedia, he's the supervisor for you.

I think we are very lucky to have him this year teaching us important course like electronics. We NEED someone like him who takes time to explain and do it clearly. I LIKE the fact that he has notes and he teaches from them. My friends in 3rd year say he was their best prof and I get feeling they are right!

So far, the best prof we have had in Electrical Eng. department. He not only teaches well but also has a great sense of humor which keeps the class alive.

BEST. PROF. EVER. He's the funniest guy alive. Everything he says is pure comic gold. He works sex, drugs and adultery into electronics with minimal effort!

Anyone who badmouths him here obviously doesn't go to his classes. The most crystal clear prof and best guy all around. Don't let underachiever, bottom-of-the-class, probabionary-bound lousy students who blame the prof when they fail, sway you away from his class. Simply the best!

Everyone was so afraid of his exam and it turned out to be OK. Gave hints in class too. If you go to his lectures and actually pay attention, you'll enjoy the course and end up actually learning.

Not only was he great proff, but he also helped me with great advice, and helped and motivated me to be better student. One of the only profs that talked to me and not down to me like I was beneath him.

Guy below: He teaches the basics and hands out notes because its an INTRODUCTORY course to electronics, retard. What kind of depth do you want...wait till 3rd year and you'll get it. Probably way too much to handle and you'll wish you had prof. D. then.

I personally have gotten the best help from him, no attitude like this other guy and always got my questions answered. Also, if it wasn't for his examples and his notes, we would all know nothing. And Chung's course is hard cause chung can't teach. Don't blame Dr.D.

He is a good prof. but.. He doesnt have a lot of interest when it comes to circuits, he just gets the job done. This might leave you not knowing a whole lot if you dont apply yourself. Also, he makes the material seem REALLY EASY, but this is not the case. Dont underestemate the material. He doesnt like using the textbook, its more of a formality.

Probably the best prof I've had at Ryerson. His notes and video lectures clearly topped the notch in addition to his fairness in tests. He's a cool person always with a positive attitude. Don't have him next year very unfortunately...

He is a good professor. He knows the materials very well, however, the things he teaches you, will not help you that much in courses you are going to get in the 3rd or 4th year. However, I enjoyed his classes very much. he makes the teaching fun and interesting.

Best professor i have ever had to date. Lecture videos are creme of the crop. Midterm and exam i found to be challenging to say the least, but not impossible. make sure to re-watch the videos before writing any examination. The use of the textbook unfortunately does not tie in very well with the teaching experience.

Androutsos was a good professor; I felt he adequately prepared me for 504, I got an A+ in his course, and an A in 504 which was more than enough. As to all the people saying he wasn't helpful and didn't teach theory, he taught the theory for his course, but you were supposed to have a full understanding of all previous courses which most don't.

i dont mind to give him 5 star rating before i finish this course. he's cristally clear in his lecture, make sure you attend his class even the videoes are available on ramms since u dont want to miss the live fun, do u?

he won the title of "prof of the yr" for almost every single year, he's one of the highest paid prof in EE; and i learnt fm one of the other prof that he used to spend too much energy on teaching that once he almost lost his tenure in early yrs(not enough academic research). those comment negtively are those dont participate but groan after fail

Best Prof you will find in all of Ryerson Engineering. He is very clear and thorough with what he is teaching. Even though he post's his lectures videos, you still should attend his class. It is very helpful.

Dr. Androutsos is one of the best profs in Electrical Engineering. He makes the course interesting and relatively easy to understand. He makes videos of all his lectures and posts them online so it is easy to clarify something you don't understand. Even still, it is better to attend his classes. The final was difficult though. Highly recommended!

Androutsos is clear cut on what he expects and his lectures are very important for doing well. Content isnt very tough but you always be up to date with his lectures slides and u will be fine.

He is very good prof, cares about his students alot. explains more than once if he feels students didn't get. has no problem of repeating the concept until its clear for everyone. doesn't have fixed office hours but can help u through email. he postes his lectures video every week. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Good prof but doesnt go over specific type of examples compared to course coordinator. Also, posts lecture vids so dont really need to go to class but why spend 3hrs watching a video when u can go to class in those 3 hrs.

Dimitri is a very good professor. He tells us exactly what is on the exam and his grading is fair. Although not perfect, he is nice, knowledgeable and has made many contributions to Ryerson that resonate to this day. Perhaps best known for his recorded lectures as well. Nice hair too!

Very good prof, you will learn a lot about this course, and he makes it interesting. Also posts video lectures. One flaw is that he's still teaching when most profs are doing review, he will teach a chapter that is a big portion of the midterm/exam. So instead of having 2 weeks to learn the material, you have 1, which is tough with other courses.

Midterm was easy but really long. Final was fairly straightforward except that 1 question... Great lecturer, very clearly explains concepts and multiple times if you don't understand. Posts lecture recordings and people still go to class. Course requires lots of practice to be quick during tests which can be very long. DON'T JUST READ THE NOTES

Can be a bit arrogant, but is very knowledgeable. Exams were fair, but can ask for obscure details, so it means a lot to do to homework. Also very caring and even ordered coffee for the while class in the last lecture! If there was one thing he could improve on is try to be more firm with class discipline.

Absolutely adore this prof. He is so intelligent, funny and witty. Not only does he effectively teach the content, he shows you the real life applications with every concept. ELE532 is the first class that I found to be truly interesting and passionate about in this program,and thats because of Prof Androutsos. Also provides great resources

Read some comments about him being arrogant. Hes just funny and sarcastic. Plus, how could you not be a little arrogant when youre that good looking and went to U of T. That aside, great prof, taught the course content well. Very clear and effective in his teachings. Also, I feel Like he breaks that professor student realm and could be your friend

Simply the best prof. The haters' claims below are not true. He don't teach the pre requisite to 635. If you don't gain anything from his lectures then you simply didn't show up, study, or care. I think the negative comments are because he is strict on policy and rules.

Amazing lecturer AND department chair. Haven't seen such an engaging and tech-savvy lecturer in other courses. Exams are long but fair, the marking scheme is strict, usually there's a curve. Know all the question types and don't make silly mistakes. Questions are based on lectures and problems sets. He is friendly but don't say something stupid.

Dr. Androutsos has an interesting way of engaging students in his lectures. Sure, his lectures are great, but the exams are either tricky or long. Beware of the tough exams. Labs and quizzes are soft tho.

Dr. Androutsos' lectures were an amazing experience. He genuinely enjoys teaching and is clearly really good at it. His labs and quizzes are fair and helped boost grades. His exams were very hard though. If you don't go to class, you will not do well. The class average for the midterm and final were in the 50s, but he did end up curving quite a bit

Amazing professor. Just do assignments to ace the labs and review lectures + homework for the midterms / exams. Did midterm forgiveness for my batch and did a small curve I think. Extremely knowledgeable and understanding of student questions. 10 / 10 Fair and amazing prof.

Excellent professor, teaches the theory but also discusses how the theory can be applied. Helps provide clarity and illustrates the usefulness of abstract concepts that are taught.

One of the best profs at this school. Teaches the material very well and always connects the theory to practical examples in order for students to appreciate it. Lectures are enjoyable to attend and even funny at times, they are also recorded. Problem sets are provided which are essential for success in the course.

His lectures are recorded, so if you miss an in person lecture you can still watch them. His midterm and exams are fair. His lectures are clear and it prepares you a lot for the assigned homework he gives. The quizzes are the same exact as the assigned problem sets. Very good and knowledgeable prof that teaches by example rather than theory.

Don't believe the negativity some people have here. He is the best. He uses LOTS of real-life examples. If you spent any time in his lectures you see that. That's what being an expert in a specific topic means. Id rather have somene who teaches a course many years well than one that bounces around and is not as good. Peace out.

Just his explanation of discrete convolution with the two graphs separated and over each other was amazing and deserves 5 stars. It is evident he cares about students and respects our efforts. Really hats off and great dude overall.
