Great teacher, very laid back and helpful.
Explains every step in detail if you ask great teacher. always responds in timely manor.
One of the best math teachers I've had. He does his best to make sure every student gets an A or close to. His teaching style is completely relaxed. I highly recommend him!
Dimitri is honestly the best math teacher at Drexel. I would definitely recommend taking his class. He cares about his students and he wants them to do well. If nothing else, I would totally base my schedule around his class. He knows his material and is willing to hold review sessions if asked.
he's a great teacher...very helpful.. he's funny too
Very very good looking teacher. Haha. I should have done a lot better in the class if I HAD STUDIED.... He's very clear and definitely puts passion into his lectures. Try to learn more, and stare less. His quizzes are quite hard!
He was sassy and super helpful. Actually taught me calc.
He was a great teacher and I highly recommend anyone who needs to take calc 1 to take it with him!
Amazing professor but takes ages to grade and return quiz and exam papers back
I had Dimitri for Calc 1 and Multivariate. He was really good for both classes. He is my favorite professor at Drexel. He makes jokes and the class is very informal which makes it fun to learn. He got me interested in math again after several bad experiences in high school. As long as you go to class and pay attention you should at least get a B+
Dimitri's the greatest professor I've had yet! Very clear teaching style, always willing to take the concept above what is taught in class. Passionate about learning and engaging his students, even beyond math. Quick to grade: our class had our midterms from Friday back on Monday. I have yet to meet a student who doesn't look up to him.
Excellent Professor. He reminds me of Leonard from Big Bang theory :)
He is the best teacher ever
Dimitri is a really awesome teacher. While it's hard to follow along with lecture teachers, he really explains everything in class in a way all students understand.
he's such a good teacher like wow. the way he explains it is so helpful because he talks so calmly and really goes in depth for problems. he is really patient so don't be afraid to keep asking him questions. he's such a helpful teacher and really wants you to succeed. he's also really funny and chill. ugh, you're lucky if you get into his class
Get off RMP right now and smash in that CRN before his class fills up. You won't regret it.
Dmitri is a fantastic professor. I had him for MATH105 and MATH121, but unfortunately couldn't get him for MATH122. He is very thorough (likes to do proofs before hopping into a topic so you actually understand the process behind certain equations and mathematical rules). He's also funny and actually cares about your grade. Highly recommend.
Dimitrios is a great professor. He is an excellent teacher, who is clearly passionate about mathematics and is very good at explaining hard to understand concepts. I don't think I have ever had a teacher who was as good as him.
Doesn't use BBLearn which is a big plus in my mind. Has minimal required homework, but plenty of optional practice problems to help you prepare for weekly quizes. The quizes are on fridays and are fairly short, not always easy, but most of the time very manageable. Would definitely take again!
awesome dude
I'm going to say this here and in the second place where he is mentioned, because apparently his name pops up twice on rate my professor, but he was a really inspirational professor! His jokes in class leaves us happy to take in the next concept he's about to bring up, and he is very helpful in explaining confusing topics, both in class and outside
Probably the best professor I have ever had. Smart and explains things very well. If he's available, organize your schedule around his class.
I enjoyed having Papadopoulos. He did a good job of explaining things and he's also a pretty funny guy. He gives weekly quizzes, two midterms, and a final so most of your grade will be determined by these things so I HIGHLY recommend going to all of his classes, taking notes, and studying outside of class if you want an A. Great prof all around.
Amazing professor. Knows his stuff! He explained the topic overall and would clear any doubts you have in class. Would recommend him to anyone taking calc. His class mostly gets filled up so if u can see his class having a seat, just enroll! Clear Grading. Miss exams or quizzes without excuse and those grades are gone.
Great at helping you understand the concept, and keeps lectures very engaging. The classes are quick without getting boring. Attend every class because most material depends on prior material. Gives weekly quizzes. His website gives great practice problems for the quizzes and exams. Best professor I've had - went out of my way to get him next term.
Dr. Papadopoulos is a great professor. If only I could wake up early for his classes, I would be getting an ez A. but A+++ would take again
Dimitri is an amazing professor! His lectures are engaging, fun, and extremely helpful. He's hilarious, and willing to meet with students to help them with homework- or things he knows how to do which aren't in the scope of the course- in or outside of office hours. His lectures have a very relaxed atmosphere. Take him as often as you can.
Dimitri made me realize that lectures, when executed properly, can be extremely informative and effective. He explains the mathematical concepts and the theories clearly and makes it easier to understand. His enthusiasm to teach the class is felt all throughout the classroom. If you just do the practice problems he posts online, you'll succeed!
Hes a creative, inspirational and hilarious professor who actually cares about your learning and grade. He doesnt curve your grade and is clear on the grading criteria but will give you the chance of extra credit. Do not hesitate to take him. BtwI guess my comment has to be counted three times because I was so lucky to have him for three classes.
I love this man. Take him if you can. He is a great prof and very caring. Just go to lectures and do all hw.
One of the best professors I've ever had. He made lectures so enjoyable and engaging and he was so personable outside of the classroom as well. Although his lectures are not mandatory, it would be VERY foolish to skip them because the amount of content that he covers. He posts a lot of extremely helpful resources as well. I loved having him!
Funny guy. Fair . Really does a great job explaining material. Honestly, Hes one of the better teachers I have had while attending Delgado
He's great. Had him for both math 121 and math 122
Prof is pretty bad, does not explain content well gives students sarcastic feedback when questions are asked. Good Personality just a bad teacher. Do not take for Math 239!
I love this man. I was failing calc 2 & he rose me up, I got an A. Same thing with Multi. Hes honesty a great person and an AWESOME teacher. Take him.
He's amazing. A lot of bonus points for tests. Do what he tells you to do, you will get an A
This professor is really awesome. He explains things in a really intuitive way. Even though I had already taken calculus in high school, I felt like I left his class with a new understanding of what I already knew.
Hands down the best professor I have ever had. He made me understand Calculus II really well. He tries to help his students as much as possible. There are also quiz extra credits. He is very funny too. If you have the chance definitely choose him.
Best professor at Drexel by far. Take him and youll learn a lot. If you focus in lectures/ask questions and then do the homework (and ask questions during office hours if you have any) then you will succeed. Homeworks are reflective of quizzes and exams. No tricks here and no overly tedious questions. Demonstrate your understanding for full credit
This man is honestly a godsend for students who have trouble in math classes. I've taken several math courses over the years and Dimitrios has made the lives of my entire lecture so much easier. His explanation is clear and his thought process really reaches out to you until you understand the materials. The man is clearly the best math professor.
Homework is super easy. Class isnt mandatory and I rarely went. He posts lecture videos every section so I just used those. Quizzes and tests are really easy too. You get two attempts on every quiz and tests. Only bad part is you have a quiz every Friday.
I had Dr. P for MATH200 my first term at Drexel. Although he had some trouble adjusting to the virtual environment, it's just because it's a high-level math class. Prerecorded all lectures which can be rough because you can't ask questions, but he tries to respond to email and Teams. Do the hw because your grade is just based on hw and the exams.
All asynchronous lectures because of COVID. I thought he did a poor job explaining things in his lectures and wasn't prepared for the homework assignments.
A big portion of the grade is based on weekly homework, so it can be an easy A if you put in enough effort. Homework assignments are exactly what you will see on the exam. Very clear and concise during lectures. I always hated math, and yet understood all his explanations. If there is something still unclear, go to the office hours (also great).
His is the best math professor I have had at Drexel. His lectures were very concise and straight to the point. His practice problems were helpful. He doesn't rush when teaching. He tries to carry everyone along. His exams had varying difficulty level but if you do the practice problems, you would be able to tackle them. He gives extra credits also
Best teacher I have encountered at Drexel so far. He makes the content very digestible and easy to learn. Has lots of resources available to get extra study in and his in-class handout packets make the best references. If his class isn't full already (His sections fill up quickly) register ASAP, you will NOT regret it.
Professor Papadopoulos is one of the most considerate professors I have ever met. I was having a tough term and really struggling through math 200. All I have to say is go to office hours!! You can tell all he wants is his students to succeed. Will let you make up missed work if you ask. Provides endless resources for studying and understanding!
Dimitri is my favorite math teacher. He explains everything so well and wants you to do well in his class. He makes everything easy to understand and class goes by fast. I'm taking another one of his math classes since he was such a good teacher.
As long as he sees you’ve put the work to try to understand, he’ll help you out. I bombed the second midterm in this course and still made it out fine. Big props to him for all of the study material too.
Such a sweet guy, the GOAT. Was very flexible and understanding. Also taught very clearly. I gave him 5 stars but beware this man is busy and doesn't always answer emails, post lecture notes to blackboard without many reminders, and takes a while to grade quizzes and exams. Going to office hours is the best way to get what you need.
Math 180 online course and felt that it was hard to get in contact with the professor during the Winter term but I think it was due to his busy schedule teaching face-to-face classes. Overall, he is very considerate and nice as an educator. I had an internship interview during the midterm week and he worked with my schedule during a stressed time.
Best math teacher ever! Such a good lecturer. Explains every step of a problem, makes it clear what's going to be on an exam, and moves at a good pace. Content may be hard sometimes, but the way he teaches it makes it easy to understand. Highly recommend. Take his classes if you can!
Papi is an overall good professor. He was a very lenient grader on quizzes and would sometimes go over Webwork questions during class if you asked. However, he is rarely ever on time with grading. Quizzes and exams take weeks to be graded, so you will often have no idea how you are doing in the class. Emails also take days to be responded to.
best math teacher
Engaging and clear.
I took his classes for math before and recently HNRS200. I can confidently say he is the best professor at Drexel. If you can take any class with him, DO IT. You won't regret it! So funny, so entertaining, you'll WANT to attend classes. Really hard to reach through email, so try and talk to him after class!
Be ready to change some major perspectives
The weekly lectures weren't bad, they were pre recorded from another class I think. The one thing that I did not like was took forever to get things graded. I think he's a good professor just wish he was a little more engaging with this class because some of the material was pretty difficult.
Made me enjoy taking calculus. Actually cares about his students and will go to lengths to actually help them.
Probably the best math professor I have ever had and will ever have. I'm going to try to take him again. He is exceptionally good at explaining mathematical concepts and genuinely cares about his students. He's also a very forgiving grader; he gives partial credit if you demonstrate an understanding of the problem but have an incorrect solution.
Professor is great and whenever met in person did a great job aiding my learning however the online course structure was not great. He only read out what was in the textbook and a lot of homework questions weren't covered in the lectures. He also posted lectures and homework late, so I didn't have enough time to complete it at times.
BEST PROFESSOR EVER! If you have him for math you are all set! Professor Papadopoulos is so helpful and a great lecturer overall. I learned so much in his class with minimal stress as well :)
Literally the best marks I received in a math class in this school. He really walks you through the concepts in a way that you are able to understand. Always encourages his students to seek his extra help times, and is a generous grader when it comes to partial credit. 10/10, would learn from again.
Absolutely amazing man and even better teacher. Attendance isn't graded but go to class, his lectures explain everything you need to know in a fun and engaging way.
His teaching method is more comprehensive as opposed to memorization which was beneficial to me. Grade is comprised of homework, weekly quizzes, and 3 major exams (as well as extra credit if you choose to do it). Attendance is not mandatory but recommended because he explains steps really well. Additionally, his classes are fun and interactive!
This professor was the best professor for Multivariate Calc. He provides clear instructions and videos on each topic that are very helpful. Weekly quizzes are straight forward if you attend lectures as they are directly based on lectures from that week.
Extremely nice and approachable and just a great teacher on top of that, highly recommend.
One the most genuine professors who is always willing to help. Love his teaching style and was super clear during his lectures. GO TO LECTURE. Trust it will pay off.
Dude's the goat. Hilarious guy, very informative lectures. This is not necessarily an easy A, you actually have to try and study. But he prepares you well. Also talks about ways you can save your money (AKA shows you why poker and roulette are scams). Overall awesome dude, would definitely recommend. Note: he may take a while to grade things.
Concepts were perfectly explained in the lecture and it never felt like problems on quizzes or tests came out of nowhere. He is also a super chill guy about makeups and is overall a engaging professor.
The class was mostly review for me, but at times I got lost during lectures. Prof was always helpful in answering questions and confusion. Overall, he was very prepared for each lecture, did a good job, and was a pleasant person.
THE GOAT. Amazing lectures and made the class really easy.
An extremely great professor who goes into depth every lectures. He always answers questions in a simple way that allows you to understand complex topics. Gives great feedback and makes joke whenever he can. I loved every lectures I attended, and would highly recommend you take courses with him as your professor.
The undisputed GOAT. I suck at math so I got a B but he is by far the best math teacher I've ever had.
Dimitri taught calc121 very well. He goes over all of the extreme/edge/difficult cases, so there are no surprises on the tests. He's very friendly, calm, and explains concepts in depth but in simple language. Enjoyed the class very well compared to my calc classes in high school. Great professor.
crosspost - taken as play can't wait, class about morality, ethics, and play in video games and analog games. co-taught with alex jenkins. my only complaint was that criteria for assignments was vague at times and unclear, but grading was extremely lenient. got to play dnd one-shot and ultimate werewolf for credit so who cares tbh. 12/10
best professor
the literal best teacher ever, trust.
I took AP Calc in high school so I was surprised how much I learned in his class. He knows how to break down topics so that you really do understand them. He is the most patient teacher I've ever had and can answer any question you throw at him. Dr. Pap on top!
Took Math 180 online and he was late multiple times posting the lectures/homework. Super nice guy though and a good teacher. I would take him again, just not online..
Pop is the best math professor I have ever had in my academic career. Taking math 200 with him ruined lectures for all my other classes because I finally got to see what good and effective lectures actually look like. He teaches concepts flawlessly and intuitively and connects units with one another seamlessly. You won't want to skip any lectures.
Honestly this class was made so easy as he canceled our final online due to other work piled up, and gave us the chance to redo every assignment for almost full credit. Easiest A I have had at Drexel.
Final was waived making it an easy A. However, some homework had content not covered in lectures, grading was extremely delayed (only up to week 2 was graded by week 10), and emails often went unanswered. Lectures/homework were often late & online students were clearly treated as second-class. Extremely stressful due to lack of communication/help.
He explain the lesson really clearly. The pace is enough for me to understand and keep up with the knowledge. I think he's a good teacher.
He's really good at teaching in my opinion. He's straight to the point and is willing to point out ways to improve or fix any issues of a problem set so that his students improve. He's very patient too, since one of the kids in my class constantly interrupts him after every problem, stressing literally everyone out. One thing though, his TAs suck.
Dr. P is really great at teaching, and takes teaching concepts slow and easy. Exams make up 70% of the grade. The homework is super easy. If you did well in calc in high school, this class should be light for you.
Professor does not respond to emails and did not grade work for months at a time. Based on conversations with TA, little to no communication with TAs about grading or work in general.
