His h.w gives extra points on the test but its not mandatory, and before each test he gives a review which helps ALOT because it has the answers in the back to check and tests have about 15 questions i use to have to repeat math classes until i got him and i have straight A's

Professor Pierre-Louis is a great professor. He explains the lessons very clear. I was not good in math and I learned a lot in his class, got an A. As Student you need to be responsible, do your homework, study from the review and you will be successful. I highly recommend this professor.

Prof. Pierre is very clear on pretty much everything. He gives reviews for all his tests that will help you tons so you should be able to pass all your tests if you do your review and study it. He gives extra points on each test if you turn on your hw. He answers all students questions. Very nice man.

I took this semester for Summer B (6 weeks). He does have an accent but its really not that bad. The material wasn't so bad I ended up with an A but I studied a lot. Only tests, if you do hw and go to class he gives you extra credit. He's extremely nice and helpful! Retaking him in the Fall!

yes, he has a haitian accent however it's not something you don't get use to after the 2nd word he says... his tests are just like the review he gives except with different numbers... if you actually complete the review there is no reason not to pass.. the homework is online and extremely helpful! i would definitely recommend him

Easily one of the most caring and Understanding professors at the College. He classes are simply but long, be prepared to listen as he takes his time with long problems 20 to 30 mins a problem. LOTS OF Homework, which counts to test grades. Do your reviews for each test,and you'll have a great chance of passing. Don't drop class,gets better later.

Professor Dimitry helps students who seek for help. He is always welcome students 20 minutes after class to his office. student who have gotten A for all the four given quizzes will not have to take final exam. by far one of the best professors I've had in my college career. He is patient and makes himself available for the students when they have questions. He likes to be fun and to make jokes but he takes math very seriously I do wish I could take another class with him.

Dr. Pierre Louis is my favorite mathematics professor. He is accessible, caring, intelligent, and very flexible. He will extend homework deadlines and tests dates if you ask. If you have an "A" average, he lets you skip the final exam. He is friendly, funny, and cultured. He provides mock-test reviews a week prior to the exam. Would take again!

Easy professor as long you put in the time to study and keep reviewing the material. Lecture can be a bit long but you have to make sure you pay attention and ask questions when ever needed. Professor Dimitry-Lewis is a doll. He loves joking around and makes the class interesting. love the way he has time to sit with you in his office for help. The book is online, you must buy the lab program. Homework is very efficient works with the lecture. Love the way we get a review for the test its very helpful.

Love this professor. Math is not my best subject, but he made it easier to understand. Very flexible too. The study guide he gives before the test are nearly identical to the actual test. I passed this class with an A.

He is so easy to get an A. Doing online homework and focus on what he teaches in class will give you a good grade. He gives so many opportunities for students to have extra credits up to 10% of your grade. He also gives study guides before a test so you will know how to prepare for it. Study hard and you will pass his class like a piece of cake.

I had him for 1147, calc 1 & 2. Amazing professor. Uses the book so reading beforehand gives u good insight of the class. He gives lots of extra credit opportunities but you dont really need them if you study. Teaches integration and differentiation well. Lots of emphasis on shell and washer methods. Struggles a bit with infinite series.

He is the best math professor I have ever taken!!!! Very easy to follow pace for lecture, always willing to answer questions, gives extra points for every exam (you have to complete extra book problems) and drops the lowest exam with the final. He gives many chances! Definitely, recommend him!

I have taken MAC2312 with this professor, and I can say that even though the class was online, he was always available for help. He also helps his students a lot by giving many extra credit opportunities.

Very clear on the assignments that he gives. The syllabus also makes the instructions clearer and easier to know what to do. Has a lot of lectures teaching the different chapters from the textbooks. He is also very respectful when speaking to the students. The tests can very difficult though. Good teacher to have overall.

The class was online so all the work was on Pearson. There's a lot of homework but it's all doable if you put in the work. He gives you time to do so and the test isn't proctored and he gives like 3 days to finish them. He has given some extra credit but not a lot. There's 5 test and 1 final exam and he doesn't drop the lowest test grade like some.

Although the class was taken asynchronously, the Professor was accessible outside of class. He also hosted Q&A Sessions before tests to help with any questions.

Never saw the professor. But he does give allot of time to complete the hw. His review questions will definitely be on the exam, so do the reviews. I recommend doing his extra credit Calc 2 is a hard class no matter who you take it with and extra credit is an ez way to boost your grade.

Professor Pierre-Louis is beryls knowledgeable in his craft. You must do the work to receive the grade. The professor understand the difficulty of the subject and will treat the course as such. I have met the professor throughout Blackboard a few times. Since my class was asynchronous, I never really saw him. When you take the exams and don't understand a question you got wrong he is willing to clarify the question/doubt you have. He gives plenty of time to complete the homework and exams. The reviews are a plus when it comes to test.

This is my second attempt at taking this class and I couldn't be happier that this time I chose this professor. Professor kept the class updated on specific due dates and emails. He gave opportunity for extra which is very rare. Above all this online class was at your own pace and not overloaded with homework like other teachers do. Overall amazing

Good class, took it for MGF online. You don't do the homework you might fail, don't skip out on tests!! Its a one time thing. Other than that good teacher gets back to you quickly.

This was a very good spring Calc Class for me. Dimitri was very helpful when it came to breaking down problems (specifically limits) and would do a Q&A before all the exams which made exams so much easier to understand. Easy to work with unlike some professors in stem. Only complaint is that he's not teaching Calc 2 over the summer :(

I struggle with math greatly and was nervous to take this class online, but the tests were very similar to the homework. The homework was spaced out nicely by the program we utilzed and offered so much help. Prof Pierre-Louis was also readily available for all questions and responded in a quick and helpful manner.

If you are looking to take a math class or even a higher level math class like Calc then I highly suggest this professor. You can pretty much work at your own pace, professor is always available, the grading is very fair, and overall a solid class to take. I took this professor for Calc 1 and Calc 2 and I'm glad I did.

Overall a very straight forward class if you do the HW and put effort into understanding the content. You will pass every exam if you spend just a little bit of time doing the review exams before taking the exams. Prof was also incredibly generous giving me an extension of the final, due to a mistake on my part.

I took Professor Pierre-Louis for MGF 1107, This was by far the best math professor I had, he was willing to help me on an assignment one on one when I was having trouble. Finals was super easy if you pay attention to his homework you will pass the finals. Finals was not proctored. I ended with a B in this class so happy with my final grade.

The sweetest professor, so easygoing and is always willing to help. If you need a math credit, take him!

Professor Dimitry-Pierre Louis is honestly the BEST Professor I have ever had. He is so kind hearted, and cares for his students. He gave us two chances to take each test, though they were three hour long tests. There is a lot of homework but if you keep on track throughout, you will be fine. He also gives us extra credit opportunities, and replaces our lowest exam grade with the final. Would recommend taking him in person.

He was very caring-encouraged class participation. You definitely do better if you follow along and participate. If you slack off, don't do homework or participation you will easily get lost. I enjoyed having this professor for two classes and am glad I was able to do well both times but it is because I was willing and able to do the work.

Dimitri is an interesting professor. He cares a lot for his students and will answer any questions IN CLASS while writing down problems. However, he is slow to respond to emails. He has a slight accent that some may have difficulty understanding. Grades are based on 4 tests, a final and hw. All the tests and hws are done through Pearson. He's great

Recommend taking if you prefer self learning. Lessons and grades are from the online program ALEKS (SUPER EASY), no due dates just remain on track, and attendance does go to your grade.

The professor has a unique teaching style, but if you engage with it, you can succeed. Use Unstuck study and the free textbook to stay on top of the material. Attend class and you'll learn a lot.

The professor is very understanding and cares about the students. He does give a lot of homework and he does have a sense of humor. His always gives a review for the test before the actual test is given.
