He is a funny and sarcastic teacher - very entertaining. His grading is horrible. Your whole grade is only based upon 3 tests, and 5 pop quizzes. Tests are only 10 questions and he grades really hard on them. You leave class thinking you got an A or B
Very interesting character. This class is hard whichever teacher you take. There are 10 Quizzes which are similar to class lecture problems.

sarcastic/clear/covers 2 sections a day and no hw required but recommended. he throws pop quizzes on you but then sometimes its predictable. gave extra credit points and became more lenient at the end even though he comes off as an ****
very sarcastic sense of humor in the beggining he may appear like a jerk but is a very good proffesor after all. very helpful. if you have doubts he will explain until you understand the material.
i think hes a good teacher... u just have to study... the pop quizes help and doing the optional homework really helps to get an A.
He is very sarcastic. Seems like an italian mobster. Reminds me of the Sopranos, but turns out to be lenient in the end. Quizzes are based on the homework he assigns, which is optional.
Very intresting taecher. Go to class, expect pop quizzes. If you pay attention and ask questions, the class is pretty easy.
This professor had a strange sense of humor. On top of his sarcasm he was also difficult to understand because of his strong Greek accent. He was patient with some students and rude to others. This was not my kind of learning environment.
This professor is horrible. He gives pop quizzes and the questions are a lot harder than the problems in the book.He expects you to know the material immediately upon entering the class. The class avg. on two quizzes was 5/20.You do the math.Very negative
awful teacher, creates the possiblity to get no credit for a problem that you got completely correct, due to sloppyness. his sarcasim is funny which makes you hate him even more cause you dont want to laugh at him cause your still furious he flunked you!
He is a good teacher-but you have to put in the effort.
unclear accent. he thinks he is so goddamn funny with his sarcasm but its annoying. he is cocky and a bit creepy. he doesnt seem to care if his students fail or understand the material.
he is hard but if you pay attention you will pass
I learned a lot in his class, and I don't even like math. He is easy to understand but still requires some dedication. Of course he doesn't have patience with lazy students, and that is good. The ones who complain usually don't know basic algebra, so they shouldn't be in the class anyways.Go for it!
u have 2 take exact notes. his heavy accent is immpossible 2 understand @ times. unfortunatly in this class u need 2 b VERY CLEAR about the concepts. the only problem is that if ur unclear & ask him a question he will embarrass u in front of everyone & make u feel like an idiot. hes very unhelpful.
he is very intimidating @ first.he is anal about punctuality and talking in class.if you do the hwk,you will do very well in this class.some of his exam ?s are from examples done in class.if you are doing well he will be super nice to you. there are popquizzes so go to class.not as bad as people say
i hate him. worst teacher i have ever had. i can't say anymore, i am at a loss for words
DO NOT TAKE HIM!!! he is awful, please please anyone but him.
He's tough but you will learn the material. As the semester goes on you find out just how much he will help you. If he sees you are putting effort in it he will help you a lot! Super nice guy once you get to know him.
I really liked him. He has a unique sense of humor and likes students to be on time. If you don't understand something it helps to go to his office hours-he'll help you with any questions. He has an accent but you can totally understand him. He's a cool guy. doesn't take math too seriously
I would not recommend this teacher to anyone, especially if you ever plan on asking a question because its guaranteed he will embarrass you in front of the whole class. His huge ego often gets in the way of his teaching...but sometimes, I must admit, he is kind of funny. If you're a question asker or aren't a math type of person, DONT TAKE HIM.
Great guy-= really helps you during office hours. Tests are fair.
he was a jerk
Really really hard teacher. Very cocky and not very helpful. He goes very fast and doesn't like to answer questions.
He may be intimidating at first but he is a really good teacher I learned so much. I did take a lot of notes probably 6 pages a day, but I'm crazy like that. He has a funny sense of humor and his tests are reasonable. HW is not required. Great teacher!
I had difficulties at times understanding him, like at one point he kept talking about the "caution" which i had never heard of, but he was actually saying quotient. I think he is a good teacher, but if you have problems or questions it is best
Great professor and he's actually pretty funny as well.
This guys is a real jerk. Don't take him unless you want to be miserable for the entire semester. He makes you feel stupid when you ask questions. Hard grader too. Take someone else!!
VERY strict
tough accent to filter through. very full of himself. seems to skip steps in math process that he assumes we all know, but dont. And totally embarasses you when you ask a question. dont reccomend him.
The worst teacher I ever had. He bashed me in front of the class for something that was his mistake. DO NOT TAKE him!!! BEWARE!
Didn't like his teaching style, He's strict and he puts people down.

He cares about the students. Makes sure we do good on our tests & quizzes. Lectures are very informative & useful for hw. Funny professor. However, picky w/exams & quizzes. Ex. if u are missing an equal sign, he takes a point away. Tough yet caring professor.
hes so funny...all of his jokes n cracks r funny but he can be confusing if u dont already know the materials
Constantly tries to clear up his throat during lectures, drinks coffee, fast writer, has an accent, stops to ask questions, encourages us to engage in active learning, hard grader.
Does have an accent but isn't that bad. Very helpful during office hours. Hard grader but will take the time to help you if you seek help. Funny guy.
this professor was the worst ever. His teaching skills are bad. Very rude when it came to asking him questions. he might have a sense of humor but that is not going to help you pass his class. Take someone else. Doest collect HW, but you are expected to do it. 10Quizes are only 2 ?'s (20pts/ea) and 2 midterms w/ 8 ?'s (100pts) and a final (100pts)
his lectures are informative and he goes fast so if you dont know the material then it might be hard and he has an accent too. once you know what he wants all his tests are easy but hes a really picky grader. he tries to make us laugh with his jokes.
if you already know the material it's an easy a. his accent makes it difficult to understand him, especially cause he talks fast. he doesn't really answer questions in class, but he can be helpful durring office hours. his humor is annoying at first, but it grows on you.
His accent makes him interesting. I have no real opinion of him. Class wasn't that hard though.
I actually enjoyed his class. I thought that it was a pretty easy class to pass if you did the homework and attended class! He can be hard to understand at times but in his office hours he was very helpful! The tests and quizzes that he gives are really easy to get an "A" on if you do the homework.
GUY IS REALLY NICE. HE TRYS HIS BEST TO GET YOU THAT "A" GRADE. IF HE FEELS THAT PEOPLE DID BAD ON THE EXAM, THEN HE WILL GIVE OUT A BONUS QUIZ.
Arsendis is such a jerk. He is rude and is not helpful at all. He holds the class past the time and does not care if your next class is across the campus and you have 10 minutes to get there. He has a horrible accent and tries too hard to be funny. He says he is avaliable for office hours for help but the conflict with most peoples schdule...grr.
Not helpful. Not willing to explain. Bad experience.
By far one of the best math teachers i have had. No matter what everyone says negative about him, he was always willing to help out, offered a vast amount of extra credit as well.
He's sort of mean, but just go to class and do your homework. He explains things pretty well, and gives you an idea what's going to be on the tests and quizzes. POP quizzes though. I recommend taking someone else if you can.
this guy is a jerk. do not take his class unless your desperate!!!! i'm not kidding! he's okay as a teacher but he's an absolute jerk. do not take him!!!
I agree that he is a jerk and really full of himself. He will put you on the spot and won't let up until you answer his question. Attendance is mandatory because of the pop quizzes. You don't really learn anything in his class. He keeps you to the very end and sometimes even after the class end. Hard grader, won't cut you any slack. Best of luck.
STAY AWAY from this professor. he is mean, rude, uses profanity, is not understandable...thinks he's cool b/c he drives a bmw....avoid at all costs.
He is a smart ass and thinks he is funny. Some like his antics I particularly did not. Attendance is mandatory b/c of 10 pop quizzes which equates to a midterm grade. Grade based on total of 10 quizzes, 2 midterms, and one final. He does give 1 or 2 bonus quizzes. Hw not mandatory but will help b/c he's fast paced. Nice and willing to help.
I wouldn't take him. His lectures weren't helpful at all and tests were unbelievably hard. Don't reccomend him at all!
Okay Dimos is no pushover. I took his class and dropped it twice before finally seeing it through. I got an "A" and actually learned something. Math is a tough subject and he takes it seriously, if he can see that you do as well, then you will really enjoy his class.
GREAT PROFESSOR! I must admit, the previous ratings scared the crap outa me, but once i sat through his class i realized i had nothing to worry about. He is inteligent, & willing to stay after class for any questions. DEFINITELY do the optional hw or else you will fail. If u do the hw i promise you will ace the quizzes. DO NOT BE AFRAID 2 TAKE HIM!
His jokes are awful & sounds like a smart ass, but he's actually a great instructor. He's very helpful & serious about math. If you suck at math, attending class is mandatory. If not, should be a piece of cake because most of the material is stuff we've already learned in high school! Do ALL the HW & review guides and you'll mos def pass the class.
good teacher and if you don't understand him then you didn't pay attention
Pretty good prof. A little hard to understand because of the accent, but you catch on and get used to it. Hard Grader, but fair. You MUST attend class. you go over a lot of material, but most of it we went over in high school. HE's really smart and knows what he's talking about, don't be afraid to ask questions, very helpful.
HE is hOrrible!!!!!!!! WARNING you not to take any of his classes. I have never had a problem with math until I took his class. You can't understand him and he gives you information that is not on the test to make himself sound more intelligant.HORRIBLE!
This professor is good I recomend this class to the students that dont get math but will work hard. If you work hard you will enjoy his class. Try not to miss a day of class if you do you will be behind!
He knows what he is talking about. He means business. At times, he can be intimidating. But if you go to him after class, he likes that you are interested in your grade and care about the class. Bottom line-- just show up, work hard, and act your age.
His accent is thick and he goes 100 miles an hour. For those who have already taken calculus im sure they can follow it. But for people new to calculus you should probably try to find a teacher that speaks better english
He goes through the material really fast. his class is not hard you just have to study everyday and study more. his class is fun and the tests arent that hard just STUDY the review he gives you!! oh yeah and pay attention in class.
He is very intimidating but he really wants you do dedicate yourself to the class. If you pay attention and be sure to study every night you will pass. He gives you reviews that are exactly the same layouts as the test so if you memorize how to do those then you should be fine
He goes way too fast, covers two sections a day. If you haven't taken calculus or pre-calculus before, you will fail. His accent is sometimes difficult to understand. Would definitely recommend another professor!!
Professor Arsenidis is an extremely intelligent man and a great teacher. He also has a great dry sense of humor. I loved his class!
I've always done well in math throughout high school but he made me feel dumb. There were about 30 people when class started but about 12 remained at the end of the semester. Manipulated the exams to keep the class average low. I got a D in his class but took it again with Geier and got a solid A. I feel for anyone who has him as a professor.
Worst teacher i have ever had. He spends more time flirting and joking around rather than teaching. He only spends about half the class doing a lecture and taking questions, then leaves. He makes failing a class seem funny and he acts like he does not care at all.
Really Fast pace teacher, in the beginning try to cover the whole section than later on slow down, he is genius but his sloppy writing and his accent make it hard to understand, he want student to ask question but always say "at the end" HW collect 1/4 of it, and giv pop quiz, wont recommend try to take anyother.
Dimos is a great professor! Other than his fun personality, he is a great teacher! His test problems are directly from lecture and homework with slight alterations. He is MORE than willing to stay after class and help and at office hours. He asks the class if they need clarification after every problem, so if you do, speak up and you'll do FINE.
Funny guy, funny accent. Recommend him if your serious about Math, if you can't understand him, sit in the front. If you want to pass, just do your homework. You can ditch his class as much as you want, but you'll be left behind of the whole class. Don't be afraid to ask him anything if you're lost. He'll cut you slack if you take his class again.
He's a cool guy, likes to crack random jokes in the middle of class so time flies. Attendance is not mandatory but it is if you want to pass the class. 5 exams then the final so expect to study a lot! Make sure to do the homework (easy) and you'll be fine.
Pretty cool teacher, kinda easy for the most part, but you have to study and do your homework or else you will fail. His stories are funny and his jokes are to. I highly recommend taking this guy.
Disregard all the comments! Prof Dimos is an excellent teacher. Just make sure you show up for his lectures because you can miss A LOT and he will take the time to help you during his office hours. And also as a rule of thumb, take his class in the morning, NOT in the afternoon. You'll get a better grade. Don't ask why, just DO.

He is ok, not too bad not soo good, move really fast test are ok if u study. i still hav the mapb 11 book so shoot a text at 562 999 4645 with an offer keep in mind book goes around $130ish
Recommended only for those who have already taken Calc or those who have time to visit office hours. He speaks far too quickly, his accent is a hassle, his handwriting is sloppy and he covers about 2 sections every day. It's incredibly difficult to learn anything inside class. He actually makes Calc seem hard (it's not).
He moves pretty fast, but he only focuses on what you really need to know and provides lots of examples. He'll show you how to do it, then lead you through a few ways just in case. His accent is present but not distracting, he's funny and he'll keep you awake at least. Just show up to his class and take decent notes, and you'll be ok
Very good professor. He does cover material quickly, but his tests are reasonable. Although I never took advantage of his office hours, he really wants his students to do well and makes himself available if you need extra help.
I enjoyed this class; although I didn't put in a ton of effort, I still managed to pull off a B. Very smart professor and I'm not gonna lie, I enjoyed his Greek (?) accent. DO THE ASSIGNED HOMEWORK! Overall, great professor.
Best math teacher ever! He is hilarious and provides a lot of examples so you can get the concept. "Death in the Family" was his catch phrase or something. Loved his class!
If you show up to class and actually pay attention, this class will be a breeze. If you don't understand, do the homework. If you still don't understand, go to his office hours. His quizzes were usually the first few homework problems. And those problems and some in the notes are on the midterms. Final is mainly problems from the 2 midterms. Gluck!
This professor moves pretty fast so just try to keep up. Do the homework and aleks ! It will help your grade. Just pay attention and you'll get an A. He cracks up jokes and some short stories so you'll enjoy this teacher. Overall pretty good professor.
Great teacher! Fast pace! Do all your homework! 2 midterms, one final. The final has similar questions from the midterm.
He's the toughest Math119A teacher out there. He gives HW but does not collect it. 2 midterms, 1 final, 5 pop quizzes. You can only miss 40pts (out of 400) in order to get an A in the class. Only VERY few ace his class. Test averages are usually very low and only very smart students get A's on his tests. He's hilarious and fast-paced though.
Horrible, absolutely horrible math 119A teacher. Unclear expectations, no graded homework, awful teaching style. Only take if you've already taken highschool AP calculus, and even then, he should be a last resort.
I don't think his class was too hard. I believe that the previous rater over-exaggerated. His tests were reasonable. I didn't take AP Calc and still managed to average an A on his tests. Although, CPR was a real pain. He's really funny and chill, you should take him! And oh, attendance isn't mandatory but is important!
The class wasn't too challenging, and at times I thought Dimos complicated things. He gives random quizes, so attendance is recommended. He's a bit creepy, and he tries really hard to scare you. Tests aren't too difficult as long as you understand the material.
He has 5 pop quizzes to "keep you nervous," so regular attendance is mandatory. His tests are really fair, in the sense that they only consist of 10 questions (including the final), and aren't painfully difficult—the questions are basic. He does have an accent, but it's negligible. Homework is not collected. A grade of C in his class starts at 60%.
He has 5 pop quizzes, 2 midterms, and 1 final. His tests are really clear and straight forward because the problems are very similar to the examples he gives you during the notes. He doesn't let you talk to anybody during class at all, which is understandable, so if you have questions, just ask him. Really easy class to pass in my opinion...
He's a great, understanding guy. Just show up and do your homework and you should get at least a B. He's also very funny and tells interesting stories. One of the best and coolest professors ever.
Great Professor! Excelent teaching method and style. Always willing to help and explein. One think to keep in mind, we are college students, WE HAVE TO STUDY to pass the class, so eventhough he is great excellent professor you can get a poor grade if you don't do your part.
A very professional professor indeed. He did his all to fix the problems with Web Assign, his tests are very easy, easier than the HW. Don't mess around in his class though. This might not be a good fit for the freshman.
He's an excellent professor, though his class is very tough. You must study and be prepared for the pop quizzes do not slack or you will "drown". The book is your friend, and you seldom have to bring it to class. The midterms are simple but you must study at least three days before the exam to at least score a B. Not many people score A's.
He's a really faced paced teacher and I wasn't very good at math to begin with so it was hard for me to keep up. His accent is super funny and he cracks a lot of jokes in class. The offline homework is the most useful study tool for the tests.
He's a chill guy, tells a few jokes every now and then to liven up the atmosphere. Makes sure people actually show the incentive to do good in his class. Takes no prisoners! Dimos is willing to clarify any misunderstood topics if asked.
I have to say I didn't like Dimos very much at first. I didn't find his jokes humorous, nor did I like his fast-paced style of teaching. I will say that he was clear about his expectations of the class, which I appreciated. He takes a while to get used to, but it helps if you talk to him one on one.
Easy A
He teaches rather quickly, so make sure to pay attention at all times and copy down everything; most of his examples written on the board are on his tests/quizzes. Homework isn't mandatory, but still do a few problems. Don't talk in class, he gets angry. He's sorta awkward, but tells funny stories here and then. You MUST study in order to pass.
Many people in my class had a hard time in this class, but I thought it was extremely straightforward and easy. If you had a question, he made sure that you got a clarified answer. He does go fast in his lectures, so keep up. Do the homework and go to every lecture (that's how you pass the class because tests are based on notes and hw)
If you are someone who is not really good with math, DO NOT TAKE DIMOS. He gives pop quizzes RANDOMLY so attendance is mandatory. He is an extremely harsh grader on one quiz I received the score of a 4/20 because I made as he said, "A STUPID MISTAKE." I wish I reader RMP before taking this class, only take this class is it's your LAST RESORT.
If you want an easy A just copy all his examples and know how to do each type of problem. Do the homework he assigns if you still don't get it. All his quizzes had problems similar to the examples he showed us. Pay attention to what he expects for different problems and write it down because if you don't do it, then you might lose points.
If you want to do good just copy all his examples and know how to do each type of problem. Do the homework he assigns if you still don't get it. All his quizzes had problems similar to the examples he showed us. Pay attention to what he expects for different problems and write it down because if you don't do it, then you might lose points.
I enjoyed this class because the Professor used the fear of failure to motivate me to do well in the class and he makes the calculus concepts very clear and understandable. But alas, his grading system is kinda wack (not a lot of points to make up for bad quiz and exam grades). He does want his students to pass... But not with an A. *sigh
Dimos is a rare professor. He is a hard-ass, but don't let that fool you. He honestly wants all of his students to excel in his class, no matter how stupid he will make you look. If you pay attention in class, do the homework, and then some - passing his class will be easy. 5 pop quizzes, 1 extra credit quiz, 2 midterms, and 1 final.
Professor Dimos is an exceptional instructor, yes he talks crap and makes you feel like you won't make it through but that is definitely motivation. He really wants everyone to succeed. I will definitely be taking one of his higher math courses.
Excellent ! Professor , make you understand easily
tests and quizzes are very similar to homework problems, so doing homework is essential!!!!! you don't have to do every problem, but make sure you can get the correct answer 100% of the time. also take your time on tests- he will deduct points if you aren't clear or make mistakes on the "show your work" process
Don't even bother with him you will just end up having to re-take the class. He makes a the class impossible.
Arsenidis is a great teacher. He doesn't sugarcoat the obstacles of what you need to do to pass. Motivates his students through fear (ie. pop quizzes), but the quizzes are 100% based on what he teaches in class. Pay attention and take his notes, he rewrites them himself for easy understanding. You will get the grade you work for in this class.
There are only 2 midterms and 1 final test. 5 pop quizzes and 1 extra credit quiz. Quizzes are worth 20 points each! The class is curved, but you still need to work for your grade. Homework assignments help for studying for tests & quizzes, although hw isn't even graded. The final was just impossible...
This guy is absolutely wild, and I like it. Seriously, so fun and crazy - has TA's grade sometimes for larger classes, which can be tough, but he's cool
Yes Dimos is strict. But he cares a hell lot about his students. His clear examples are what have helped me get A's on the exams so far and his funny stories/jokes have kept classes interesting. The way he encourages/inspires his students to get better not only as class, but individually as well, has made him my favorite professor so far at CSULB.
He goes very fast through an insane amount of material. His exams are not multiple choice and usually contain a LOT of complicated word problems. Make sure you pay attention. He's decently funny, and can be a little eccentric at times, but he's pretty cool. Has a slight accent, but you'll get used to it after a week or two.
The man is DIRECT. IF THERE IS SOMETHING U NEED TO KNOW FOR THE EXAM HE WILL TELL YOU. Dimos will start every class with a brief joke or some kind of funny story. He goes to the white board, then the MAGIC HAPPENS. HIS DETAILED EXAMPLES ARE SOOOO CRYSTAL CLEAR. He will gladly piss off the Math Department and give you an A if you work for it.
Copy notes in class which is about 45-1hr after he spends the beginning of class telling some stories. Homework is due the day of exam which are fairy difficult, but in my opinion easier than his homework.
Dimos is a super chill guy, but a strict professor. For the first weeks of class, he is very strict on attendance, and after withdrawals are done, it's just rude to walk into class late. The word problems are clear and relative to biology. He loosens up the awk tension with cool stories and jokes. His tests reflect the lectures, and HW really helps
Dimos is a great professor and his lectures mostly consist of doing problems so that you get more practice. He is really intimidating but hilarious! I'm so much better at math because of Dimos.
He has a weird sense of humor. He writes notes on the board and you just copy them down the whole class.
I was afraid of taking calculus because I didn't know what to expect being that I took statistics in high school instead of Calc, but I learned a tremendous amount. Dimos is straightforward about what you will need to know for the tests and he is funny. Be sure to study before the tests or you wont be able to get those A's or B's.
All you do in the class is copy down examples. He tries to make class as fast as possible. He doesnt really teach, however, his examples do help a lot. Hes also intimidating, esp if you come late. SHOW UP TO REVIEW DAYS. All his examples on the review WILL show up on the exam. Usually, whatever is not in the review, wont be on exam. Beware of final
I had a hard time understanding what he lectures but his notes are essential to passing this course. The book also helps but if you're a visual learner like me, you'll want to take notes in class. Homework greatly boosts your grade as well as preparation for the exam so DO IT.
If you took APCalculus AB in high school, this class will be easy for you. Calculus is so fun with Dimos teaching. All you do for class is notes, which are formulas and example problems that will be exactly like the homework(webassign):really easy. There are four exams; study your notes and do your homework and you'll be fine.
To date, the hardest professor I've had hands down. Flies through the lecture material, barely slowing down. Very strict but lightens the mood with jokes. I barely passed with a C, but math is not my thing. I would not recommend, do not take him or beware. He is intimidating but willing to help. Stay on your toes and on top of your sh*t. Good luck.
This class is so straight forward and is not difficult to get a good grade in. Dimos is fast and straight to the point he always wants to get out of class early and you copy notes on the board the entire class period but i mean its math what else do you expect?? material might seem hard at the moment but once you look back at it.. it was all Easy.
easy class. Cracks jokes always, and he is a fast lecturer.
He's an amazing professor! Class is fast paced, so beware of that. He gives multiple examples for each concept, which can help you understand the material more. Dimos is also quite the joker and he gives really life changing quotes. 10/10 would take him again.
Professor Arsenidis is hilarious. His lectures are clear with lots of examples so if you pay attention you'll do perfectly fine. The homework does count for credit so donit. He doesn't do retakes or give practice tests but the problems are pretty basic and HE DOES ROUND GRADES. Great class
A bit hard to understand, but he is very helpful. He goes fast during lecture, but if you go to his office hours it's very helpful. He's pretty funny
Prof Dimos is a hilarious teacher and takes the course seriously. be ready to take fast notes and do all the homework even if it's a lot because it's helpful practice for the tests. Pop quizzes are based on the notes and many of the problems come directly from them. Very caring when you go to office hours and wants to help you succeed :)
Did not enjoy this class too hefty to take over the regular semester, retook over the summer and did fine. Too much bland note taking, examples did not help, better off using khan academy online.
Dimos is kinda scary at first, but he's truly very kind and passionate about helping students learn. I've NEVER been good at math, but I managed to get the highest grade in the class on two tests. He makes you work for it, but he WANTS you to succeed. Super helpful in office hours and pretty funny!
was super intimidated coming into calc and he was intimidating at first. But as the sem goes on he warms up to everyone and is hilarious and makes class more interesting. He wants everyone to succeed in life and will push you as far as you can. Best professor ever.
Definitely was intimidated by him in the beginning of the semester as a freshman, but turned out not to be that bad. He makes pretty repetitive jokes, but you gotta stick it through. Pretty fast at lecturing and will not slow down, so be ready to write. But just study the review he does before the test, and do the webassign and it will be an easy A
Dimos is the best! Gives great lectures with lots of examples that help a lot on the tests. He does give 4 pop quizzes that are usually from the notes. The test are easy if you study the notes. He seems scary at first but is actually really funny and gives great advice. Take him if you can
Pretty straightforward teacher. Definitely show up to lectures because a lot of the types of problems that he shows are on the tests. Youll get out of class early quite a bit because he kind of zooms through the material during lecture. Webassign is pretty simple and you have the option to buy the book but you dont really need it.
Dimo's is a great professor. He comes off very stern at first but he is very nice and quite funny. He goes through lectures pretty fast so you must stay on task. study notes because all of the pop quiz questions come from them and some may be on the test. I enjoyed the class and would highly recommend anyone.
Originally liked him a lot, but ended up hating the class. If you don't already have a pretty good grip on Calc, you'll struggle a lot with him- he flies through examples and barely explains anything. I ended up with a 69.4% and he refused to round up. He's funny but I severely regret taking this class.
Dimos is such a wonderful professor. He's one of my favorite professors and has pretty dry humor. He is fair and straight forward and everything he teaches in class is present on the exam. He literally uses the same problems from class on the exams. So as long as you go to class and pay attention, work the problems, easy A! Extra credit too!!
He's a good professor but he is one of those that like to talk about how many people fail his class. He does have an accent, it's not too hard to understand but sometimes I'd get lost because he talks fast as well.
Dimos is a good professor just make sure to take his advice most of the times quizzes are the questions he uses as examples from lecture. I can see why people say he is tough however if you do not study for this class it will not be simple.
Dimos tells you how it is, there is no bs with him. if you take his advice you will do good in the class. make sure to go to the review sessions because the tests are very similar
Hes a decent professor and biocalculus is going to be hard no matter who you take, but he does a good job. He goes on a lot of rants where he tells you to do your work or else you wont be successful in the future
At the time I took Dimos, he claimed it was his last semester teaching, but if hes still around, FOR SURE take him. His lectures are easy to follow and his test are basically the same questions from his lectures or webassign. He may seem intimidating at first but is really a chill guy if you show that you care about the class. He rounded my grade.
