You may hear that 122 is alot of research but her 3 reports are really easy and the first 2 reports can be done in acouple hours. Her grading is unlike teachers in 121 and she is brand new to the school and i highly recommand her

She is awesome. It's scary how passionate she is about this stuff. The class isn't the easiest, but it is fun and informative. All you do is write papers.

She is a great teacher. I didn't have any trouble with this class, but the girl who sat next to me had alot of trouble. Dina was always right there to help her along and give her some extra advice. I can't wait to take her for 122.

I am 32 and this was my first try at college. Thank God for her!! She is ssoo nice and she tries to make the class fun and interesting. Definitly looking for her class next semester!!

Dina was a great Prof with a wealth of professional experience that she brought to the class. Most classes were boring, but it was very open and I was able to do everything at my own pace. She basically spelled out the outlines for the paper, so if you follow that, you'll do fine.

i really like her. shes young and a very good teacher. we dont even use textbooks so you save some money. pretty much all our grades are 4 papers which is good cause i love writing! if you dont like her topic she usually lets you pick something else. shes very fair. i will most likely take her again for engl 122!

Dina is a really nice teacher, it's an easy class and the best thing is that you don't need textbooks (which saves money)..if you have a choice and want an easy "A" take her :)

I would recommend taking her class to anyone. She is extremely nice and knows her stuff. You only have to write 5 papers, and they dont have to be long, she also helps you with them as much as you need. She was great.

She is a bubbly, sweet & funny prof who makes it easy to succeed in her class. Show up, do the work, and you will get an A. You do 4 essays throughout the semester &revise them a few times, then turn in a portfolio at the end. The more you improve, the better grade you get. She's great, I'd recommend her to anyone looking to improve their writing.

Let me just say that she is one of the best teachers i have ever had. I had her originally for eng121 and then I chose her again for eng122 and got an A in both classes. She motivated me so much and really cared about what i had to write about and how to help improve. She gave me such confidence that i am thinking about journalism as a career.

I would highly recommend Dina for someone who has no prior experience in writing papers. She is very helpful and wants to help you do the best you can. She is very bubbly and friendly and I would not hesitate to take another class of hers. She is also very knowledgeable about politics too.

Dina is a great teacher! She really cares about her students and understands if something goes wrong or if we are a day late to hand in a paper! i loved her!! she was one of my favorite teachers and if i was going to take another english i would definately get her. I strongly recomend her!!

Prof. Long is a very good English professor. She is very clear and helps break down the assignments in to simple parts so you UNDERSTAND what your writing. She is very intent at having all of her students succeed. Very nice lady and always there to help

I chose Dina based on her ratings and was not disappointed. She is very funny, whacky, and very into english. You do NOT need the textbook, which is great. I had her for writing comprehension, so you do write every class, but it's not hard and shes very willing to help. HIGHLY recommend!!

English 121. Shes very nice and explains what she wants us to do. The assignments are very straightforward and easy to understand. very reasonable workload and grading. Shes pretty hot too

Dina actually makes this class interesting. She doesn't dwell on boring stuff, long notes are kept to a minimum, and she makes it impossible to fail. Take her for english!

Dina is such a great teacher! We only do 4 essays throughout the entire duration of the semester! She's really bubbly and tries to make the lessons fun by incorporating what we learn into things that interest us. All that is missing is the Pom-Poms. I've never seen someone so excited about English research. Knows a lot about research, and has a lot of connections. An all around incredible woman. Go to class just to see what she's wearing. Will rarely be there the whole 3 hrs. An absolute must take Prof. for a must take class.

You will learn how to write a proper paper! Dina is an excellent teacher & will sit down with you if you need the extra help. Don't hesitate to ask questions! Put effort in & you'll be getting an A. Also she lets you out early every class!

Really easy class. we wrote 2 papers, 5 and 10 pages(knocked down to 8) respectively. going to class is good just to get the deadlines but most of it stuff you should already know like citation and such. class never went the full 2 hours and 45 min. usually an hour and a half max

I had her for English 121 and 122 and really enjoyed the class. She breaks down the assignments to help you write the best papers and get the best grade you can. She's there for you and is so understanding!

She was honestly awesome. Such an amazingly easy class. The class was so relaxed. Only annoying thing is that she would drag on about grammar lessons that take five minutes to explain. But overall, I loved her.

Very charismatic teacher. Good speaker and nice person. Really likes teaching Engl-122. Her classes never go until the end. Sometimes lectures are boring and about nothing. There are three papers to write, one 5-page and two 10-page. The good thing is that she allows to revise the papers and gives you extra time if you need to finish an assignment

Awesome professor, definitely take her. Classes always get out an hour early and there's barely any work. She gives you a lot of time to do the papers and is very funny and nice. One of the best professors at Brookdale!

She brings a lot of energy and positivity to class, and we always get out early. One five page paper, an annotated bibliography, and a 8-10 page paper were the three main assignments. Smaller assignments along to way just help structure our papers. No textbook, no novel reading at all, and no pop quizzes. Best English Prof I had here!

She is the best. the only way you fail if you don"t do the work at all. kids in my class handed in papers late I mean seriously late and still did well in the class she really wants you to write better papers. Definitely take her!!!!!!

Professor Dina brightened up my day whenever I went to class. She is the ONLY English teacher, since middle school, to make me like English class. (That says a lot) She will have so many stories and helpful worksheets to make you UNDERSTAND how to be an effective and successful writer. Super helpful and understanding. I would highly recommend.

I kept putting off 122 because I was scared of the class, but Dina was awesome. You only write two papers and all the other assignments help you write those papers step by step. Easyto write research papers now with the system she taught. Also, she is flexible with deadlines and will help you. We always gets out early, no textbook or readings.

I dont usually take the time to rate professors but I felt like I needed to after taking this course. Dina is by far the best professor Ive ever had. Shes so bubby and bright (even at 8 am for an almost 3 hour lecture). She genuinely wants to help everyone succeed and pass. She really is amazing and an amazing help.

I hate writing research papers, but she made everything so easy. Only two papers and we worked step by step to write them. Very helpful and relieved my anxiety about writing after taking this course. No quizzes, tests, or assigned readings. Easy A.

If you hate writing papers, take Dina's class. She makes it easy and stress-free. She is very sweet and genuinely cares about all of her students. No tests or quizzes, no textbook required. One of my favorite professors ever.

This class is such an easy A. U write ur paper on ur own time though. Class is power-points and classwork about tips to help u write better and efficiently. Barely gives homework. But really cares about her students. Clear grader and so sweet.

Dina is overall a great English teacher. She goes into detail about the steps that need to be taken in order to write a good paper. The steps are mini homework assignments and the paper is written on your own time. She never keeps you in class for the full length of time, and attendance isn't mandatory. Hand in your paper on time and you pass!

Not very difficult as Long as time is used widely. In class is a struggle to get through, very loud and talks a lot!!! Very nice woman though and willing to work with anyone who comes to her. Three assignments throughout the semester

Professor Long is the best professor youll ever have! Shes very helpful and makes the lectures engaging. Do the papers (4) and youll pass with an A. She also gives feedback thats actually useful and will give you extended time for papers if you need it. Shes not a tough grader and understands that people struggle with different things.

Dina Long is such a nice professor. Im not very big in writing, but her class was definitely one of the best classes Ive ever been to. Shes always smiling and you can really tell shes excited to come to class everyday to teach us how to write a paper. If a writing class is required for you, choose her class. Shes the best.

Hands down THE BEST professor I have ever come across. She is ridiculously understanding and responds pretty quick. (I dont recommend u let things get as far as I did), but my grade went from about 17.86% to a B+. I dug myself a huge hole, but I reached out to her and she was so willing to help me catch up even tho it was the last two weeks.

This is my second time having her. Absolutely love her, she is so patient and willing to work with you if you reach out to her. I let myself fall behind again dropping my grade to about a 14% and ended with an A. She accepts late work and will help you pass as long as you show that you care and are trying.

Professor Long is one of the best at Brookdale. She really cares about helping students with their writing. She also doesn't take points off for late work and she very clearly maps out the whole semester of work on canvas. Amazing person and professor!

3 main assignments throughout the course, you have plenty of time to work on them. She is a very fair grader.

Prof Long is SO nice and easy-going. Willing to work with you and very lenient about due dates/extensions. Just don't get too relaxed with your assignments or you'll be rushing to make up everything at the end of the semester.

She was so easy, there are only 4 papers but many shorter assignments that shell give 100s on to help your grade. Took her class fully online and highly recommend it. Shes super accessible outside of canvas (which professors say but usually dont mean) and she was really caring.

Very accessible after class, nicest person ever, explains everything so well, was the mayor of Sea Bright, gives great feedback, I loved her and wish she taught all of my classes

Professor Dina Long is still my favorite professor to this day. She gives clear instructions, good feedback, and she is very understanding. I suggest taking her class!

This class is one of my favorites. She's outgoing and full of fun. Mrs. Dina doesn't mind if I hand her assignments late. I am grateful that she gave me extra time to work on projects I haven't finished it yet. Also, I like working on group projects with my group that my teacher assigned. Get this class guys. She will make your day brighter.

absolutely loved her! she accepts late submissions with no penalty and as someone with a busy schedule i greatly appreciate that gesture. there were 3 projects, we worked in groups for 2 of them, we still submit our own thing but we also work together, working out on topics and details. she's has a very enthusiastic and refreshing personality.

professor long is probably my favorite professor ever. she is extremely kind and caring; there's 3 major papers/projects over the semester but she breaks them down and makes it easy and clear of exactly what you need to do and helps every step of the way. overall, i would 10000% choose her as my professor for every class if i could

Professor Long is THE BEST professor I have ever taken at Brookdale. took her for both 121 & 122 three major papers throughout the semesters but she breaks them down week by week in simplest way possible. She loves to help out and extremely flexible and hates textbooks!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!! I love her soo much!!!

Took prof. Long for 121 & 122 and I absolutely loved her. Didn't care if you handed in your work late. Was always caring and understanding. There are papers but she breaks them down into weekly assignments so by the end the paper is practically already written for you. She's so helpful and just overall a great person. She's the best!!

Professor Long creates a welcoming environment. Assignments are manageable, and she is happy to provide extensions. The class utilizes group projects, making it engaging. I'd recommend this course and found Unstuck study helpful for study prep.

Best professor you'll find at Brookdale. She is a very sweet woman, she cares for her students & she's subtlety funny. If you're someone who needs things “dumbed down” she is perfect. She allows her students to view the research process through a lighter lense. The work is easy & she allows extra time if needed. Very laid back & so kind. Love her!

Amazing teacher, made everything easy to understand and implement into my papers. Very encouraging and engaging, points out the things your are good at. Though attendance wasn't graded there was rarely a day I didn't want to show up to class. Papers were only required to be about 3 pages but you can go over. Just an amazing person overall!

Dina is by far the best English professor in this school. Despite hardship throughout my semester, she was always completely understanding and fully accommodative to not only me, but to the rest of the students taking her class. If you have to take ENGL122, take Dina. You will not be disappointed in the slightest.

She's amazing! One of the best professors I've ever had! Her instructions were clear and concise and she is SO understanding about needing extensions, even if you don't have accommodations in place. I talked to her a lot outside of class and she was always so caring. I'm going to miss her when I leave Brookdale! I can't recommend her enough!

Literally loved her. He class was super easy. Just show up and write a paper a week. Very easy. Very clear instructions. She graded your draft and then let you make any revision's and re submit for a final grade on that paper. I took 2 classes with her and she was genuinely so nice and understanding.
