She is a really cool teacher understanding and very helpful. Do your work and you will stay on her good side.. and it wouldnt hurt to try to show some interest

Prof. Pizzi is a great teacher. She made me love art history even though I had to take it as a requirement and didn't like it at first. I had a few problems but she was understanding and helped me out alot. She really cares about her students and even helped me with my essay for another class.

AWESOME Professor. Really down to Earth and very understanding. Cares about her students and their grades and works with you to make sure that you get a good grade in her class unless you make it obvious that you don't care about your grade. Love her and would take class again. Maybe Pottery Class.

She is just awesome! That being said, this is the most work I did for any college class thus far . Complete ALL the assignments, show interest, show up to class on time, and you'll do fine. She has a great sense of humor and really makes the class interesting with all of her knowledge and enthusiasm. Very helpful; great professor.

I love Professor Pizza. Shes really awesome and shes hilarious. She may be tough on you, but its all tough love. Its a lot of work but then again every class is. She will always help you. I always text her my art and asked for her opinion and she always responded immanently with constructive criticism. One of my favorite Professors of all times.

I took beginning drawing and I absolutely loved it. She gives a decent amount of homework, but it was manageable and instrumental to my improvement. I worked a 40 hour work week and still completed everything on time. She is funny, helpful, knows her stuff, and pushes you to do your best, what's not to love? Take Prof Pizzi, you won't regret it!!!

I love prof pizzarello, she is the best art prof so far. this is an intro class,so she doesn't expect you to be an artist.I would draw stick figures and I got an A, as long as you do the work and show effort you get an A. she really strict on attendance and she does give an amount of homework but the homework are so easy. I would def recommend her.

I had a great experience in this class with professor Pizzarello. This class was lots of fun and I did not mind waking up early to attend this class. This professor made class intresting and fun. I took this class in the 6 weeks session with another class and this class motivated me to attend school. We did not have to buy or use a text book.

Professor Dina was amazing she was very understanding although she played no games when it came to class work and home work she made me want to continue coming to class she's the reason I never gave up she gave us that push that we needed I think she's a super down to earth professor she's great she rocks !!! :)

One of the best professor by far. Very easy going, but strict when it comes to class work. Easy A just by doing homework, attending class on time, and going on the excursions.

Prof. Pizzarello is a wonderful teacher for drawing you will ever have. She is tough prof so she expects everyone to do the assignments on time. Her HW requirements is not just a to do list but a practice to develop our skills in drawing. She pushed me over my limits and I am grateful for the talent I carry from her. And she is one of the best.

Pizzi was really hard on me but she was the only teacher in the whole school that made me get better. My art skillz are so much better and now i know how to look before i draw. Her art is so awesome it makes you want to copy it and work hard like her.

Loved her class, she's really interesting and funny. She doesn't make the lectures boring. You must do the homework, lots of essays. Shes great, if you have the chance to take her, do it.

Prof. Pizzi made class fun and exciting. she expects alot and is very demanding. BEST PROF EVER! I learned more from her than any of my other teachers at la guardia. she makes you want to learn my skills got so much better. im not afraid to draw anything anymore! :)

I love this lady. She tells it like it is. There were no hidden surprises. Just follow her instructions and you'll pass. I am not an artists and she took that into consideration. She made me fel like I COULD BE AN ARTIST. DO NOT CHEAT!

She is so inspiring and motivating! She really pushes you to the best of your potential and is always there for when you need help. Definitely do the homework assignments, try your best with the art projects, and study for the final and there's no way you won't pass this class. Her lectures are interesting and her witty comments keep you laughing!

Professor Pizza is by far one of my favorite teachers. I have taken her for HUA101 (intro to art) and I am taking her for HUA203 (intermediate drawing), she is way harder for drawing and definitely gives a load of work but it has helped me a lot and my skills has only gotten better. Definitely recommend if you are dedicated to improving your skills

She is NOT EASY. HW every class: 5-6 q's at least 8 sen. each so basically an essay each week. You'll spend around $100 for art supplies, but if you follow directions and put in effort you'll be proud of what you turn in. (I can't "art" either) 3 latenesses an absence, more than 2 absences fail. Put in LOTS of work, and you'll get a good grade.

As a student who has taken Beginning Painting for the first time, I have to say that she is a Fantastic Professor who gives a hefty amount of quality work that will expand your mind and your skills ( whether its in Art in NY, intermediate drawing, or Beginning Painting. This is not a class for students who want to take non intensive art courses.

A great Professor that is passionate about her work and her students. Rarely found in any form of academia. I've taken three various classes and always found them refreshing. She gives a reasonable amount of work. She'll push your artistic limits in illustration and in painting. be prepared to work your butt off to greater glory.

Took her for my first communication class. OMG it was really tough! So much studying! But Pizza was a lot of fun, she made class hilarious and enjoyable. She really cares about her students. She sees you as a person and will help you succeed no matter what. Wish she taught more communication classes.

This was my first time taking art here in LAGCC I'm not an art major but I needed an elective , so I decided to take this class. At first, I thought this class was going to be easy, but it's not. Professor Pizzarello is a great professor to learn art from, because she tells you the truth from the beginning, and she want's whats best for you.

I took Prof. Dina for Begining Painting and I have to say she is the best professor at LAGCC. She cares about each student and makes sure you become a better artist. This class is not an easy A, YOU HAVE TO DO THE WORK ! But her HW's are fun and creative but they require time. She does not take Mediocre work. Take her if you want to learn;)

I took this as an elective and this was literally the hardest class I've ever taken. The amount of work in this class beats chemistry and calculus! However, she's awesome at teaching and takes art serious. Not lenient at all and super strict! A lot of homework too for an art class but I had nothing better to do since it was my only class! Great!

Wonderful professor . You will learn a lot from her. Tough grader so only take her class if you are ready to work.

This professor is great! If you need motivation, inspiration or someone who is there to help you along the way, she's your girl! Not only are the lessons in class clearly directed, but her passion for the subject is enticing and inspiring. She grades each person on their individual skill set, which in art is a must. She genuinely cares about you.

Professor Pizzarello is great. She really cares about her students. Her public speaking class was awesome. She gives extra credit when needed and she helps out a lot. Just pay attention, participate and ask questions when needed and you will do great in her class. Oh .... and show up to class!

Awesome and inspiring professor. I learned so much. Im not an art major and herb INTRO class is really intense. I can paint draw and make lino cut prints now. She gave me confidence. She is really interesting and funny. Class is fast paced and the time flies. Must buy ALL supplies. NOT BORING but you have to put in the work :)

She's EXTREMELY strict however awesome when it comes to her job. She's very tough and you gotta have thick skin to understand her humor. You'll finish the semester as an artist. Look forward to A LOT of detailed homework and big art projects. I felt like an artist painting for an art gallery, not for a class so you'll learn a lot.

She is a REAL educator. I took painting classes in Art Student League and other institutions but none of instructors can teach like her. She knows materials so well, and techniques. Take this class if you wanna be a better artist. Its challenging but youll learn a lot.

Professor Dina is very strict, caring and funny. She pushes you to draw, paint and work. If you like or not art, this class will take the best art from you. The lectures help to know something about art if you are illiterate like me. I enjoyed the projectsin class drawing with music. We drew naked people. Loved that. Challenging but all worth it.

Class was amazing. I learned so many things about art.(printmaking,painting,drawing,collage,etc..) The professor is tough! you have to do your work even if its a lot, it might be art but it is college too so you need to work hard to get full credit. You only need your effort it doesn't have to perfect no one is perfect. If your lazy don't take it.

Pizzarello is amazing and passionate about art, she is very knowledgeable will help if ask for it. The homework load is heavy but its to help students understand the material she is teaching. If you want to improve in art then I highly recommend taking her classes and also for credit when your schedule isnt crazy. Overall shes a caring professor

Truly a gem. Thankful beyond belief to have had her. I would recommend her to any other student. Have you ever ordered 10 pieces of nuggets and then got 11? Thats the feeling you get having her as a professor. Loved her as a professor, as a mentor and she's truly an inspiration.

I'm not gonna lie the class was tough. I often didn't get much sleep before class, but that was mainly bc I choose to do homework last minute. If you show that your trying and that you want to work and are ready to do the work then she'll take that into consideration. If your not generally good in art , then I wouldn't suggest taking the class.

She is a great professor I had never had in Larguardia. She is really teaching and really trying to help the student. She wants everyone to learn. Thank you for all the help.

Prof. P is exceptional, she is dedicated to building you up into a fine painter. Expect to work hard, you will learn and craft your talent with her. I feel as if I could study under her for a year and it would still be cracking the shell. If you are a serious artist take her you will not be disappointed. Also, have a decent budget for supplies.

She is a very good person, she speaks her mind & gives good advice. She is helpful but sometimes is a bit late w/ email replies due to being busy. Do all the work, you will pass. There is 5 homework, 2 Mid-term (Self-portraits) drawings in Shellac on Hot or Cold pressed paper, Final is on bigger paper (Self-Portrait w/6 arms). Great Professor

She is my favorite teacher. She is a bit like the Master Chef Junior version of Gordon Ramsay, strict,correct,professional. She is usually very friendly. But if you choose not to hand in your homework or even skip class, God bless you. About course, if you want to transfer to a school like SVA, ACCD, this is course can train you to transfer level.

Tried to post before but had issues. Took the class in summer session 2. Professor is cool, knowledgeable and approachable but tough. Class is way heavier than I expected. For a short session it was too much especially if taking with another class, I do not recommend that. In order to get my A I was up to 3 am finishing the work. Not an easy A!

She's an AMAZING professor. If you want to really LEARN and develop your skills she is who you should take. If you're trying to goof off and get away with mediocre effort don't waste her or your time.

If you are taking her class, as I did in 2016, be prepared to work hard and be passionate about drawing. She is a real working artist and treats you in a similar light, giving you great feed back on your work and how to improve it. The class is paced as if you are working in the actual industry and that really helped me working as professional.

Not an easy class but its very rewarding. Only reason she's kind of difficult and gives tough hw because she's training and preparing you into 4 year program. Give harsh feedback but in a way the motivates you to keep improving and build up your skill

Prof Dina is hysterical, I love her! Her class is fun and you learn many new things in painting like mediums, technique, tips about college, etc. If you plan to register to her class, make sure to take drawing classes before that (HUA103, HUA180) because that will help you a lot in the painting process. She requires to draw with paint, no tracing.

She is very clear about her assignment. Just be creative and she is amazing . She helps with extra credit too. She make you fall in love with art.

This class was intense, I took it because I wanted to remove the WU grade from my paper. I ended getting B+ She is a very tough grader. But I missed 2 h.w in total because of time management issues otherwise could have gotten at least an A or something. In the end, this class will make u panic and sweat. This class will make u an Artist.

Professor Pizzarello may come off as cold but she only wants us to understand how the real world is especially in a world for artists. Yes its true she gave us a lot of sketches to do but remember in order to improve in any skill it takes 10,000 hours of practice ! I would like to thank Prof Pizzarello for pushing us past our limits and improving.

She is a great professer, I have improved a lot and learned so many new strategies after taking her class. Even though she did give much more HW than other courses I have taken, but it really helps you on improving your drawing skills. Also, she gives feedback on each of the assignments. The way the professor teaches is very understandable to me.

She is a great professor who wants you to get better at drawing. If you are taking just for fun, and dont have much time for doing homework, then i would say, not to take her class, because she will give you lots of hw, and it will for sure make you better as an artist.

Shes so sweet. She really cares about her students and will take the time to speak with you after class just to help you out with whatever you need for as long as you need. She makes sure everyone is at the same pace and doesnt move on until everyone is okay and I love that. Truly made my last semester here worth it!!

She is an amazing professors I highly reccomed her . I had a blast in this class the professor gives lots of work but it will be worth it IF YOU USE YOUR TIME WISLEY . Gives great feedback she can be tough on you but it is totaly worth it and it will be worth it and she is very inspirational I highly recommend her and would take her classes again i

she's a very good art teacher and she sometimes be a little stressed and get angry but she still trys her best even though it's hard through out the years ,if I could I could pick any art teacher to be my fav then I will pick her.

Had very kind words for the us at then end of our final class. Helped me find a new potential hobby between the sketching, shading and painting, she made learning art more enjoyable. Such a personable person too, loves to crack jokes during lessons and likes to make sure everyone is up to speed. Boosted my confidence with the feedback she gives.

She was GRATE, love her energy and her way of explaining her work. She was super clear with the assignment and how she wanted her work done. Really one of the BEST teachers and person I have ever met.
