awesome class. prof really knows her stuff and has done a lot of work in the field. she's extremely helpful outside of class and is mostly always available for office hours. the midterms and exams are not incredibly easy but they're fair!
Awful teacher. She insisted that we use her own definitions of general communications terms in all exams. This was a 2nd general theories class! None of the definitions or theories were her own! She didn't cover anything Communications related after the midterm, she focused entirely on feminism and racism. Complete waste of time.
Good professor. Slides are clear as are expectations. Brings an interesting perspective on communications that's different from the standard European one presented by most professors.
This class was ridiculous. The professor focused entirely on Feminism and Racism in the course. The slides often don't make sense and are incoherent, and she has a lot of grammar and spelling mistakes...that just bothers me.
i'm surprised she doesn't have more ratings. i've had Salha for two classes now and i intend to take a third. she always makes herself available in office hours and her tests are pretty easy if you make an effort to study. plus she lets us get off early, watch many videos/clips and she explains clearly!
I had her for a few classes. I really dislike the communication classes but loved her. I would recommend her any day
Good class but I fall asleep almost every time because she's so not into it
CMN 1160, 2173, 2160, 3104 In all of these classes, the professor is very clear as to her requirements. She is very easy and straightforward. Follow her instrucitons and syllabus and you will get the marks. I you show up to about 60% of classes (varies dependent on course) you can generally attain a B. If you want your A then go to her classes.
She knows a lot about her subject. Her lectures were extremely boring, but her quizzes were fair and she tells you mostly what will be on it. You need to do the readings as about half of each quiz covers the readings. Pretty easy, but very boring
The prof relayed so much on the T.A-who was obviously inadequate to preform her job. The course had two exams, a proposal, and a paper. The Exams were absolutely ridiculous! the Exam had questions like "on page 434 the author proposes a theory discuss that theory" and the TA corrects with a vengeance! AVOID her!!
Great Teacher! Interesting topics with many different point of views on communication industry. Her lectures were clear and the content of the course, as a whole, was fairly easy. Unlike a some teachers, she invited the class to share their opinions. She also made her best to make the class interesting. Best class of my semester.
Do the readings, know the major theories and know the movies for the first midterm. Second midterm do the readings, know your movies, and the guest speakers. Awesome class, don't know how you can't get an A. Gives really good feedback to the proposal, TA was the best I've had in University, was very kind and easy to talk to.
Looking back, she wasn't a bad prof. I didn't like the class, but her slide shows are easy to follow. She doesn't post much online, so attendance is pretty mandatory in order to do well. Average prof.
Never again. Nice enough, knows the subject, but she's not a good prof. It's clear her students aren't her priority either...my grades are ALWAYS posted late (still waiting on one from Oct, it's now Dec). Office hours? often cancels them or just isn't there. I've tried going twice, she wasn't there. Dont buy the books, waste of $ you dont need them
Structure of the class is fine, but she mixes her other classes into others thinking you've learnt or not learnt concepts. Impossible to get a hold of if you have questions. Never posts things on VC when she says. Questions on tests DO NOT make sense, and in every test there is at least one section that the TAs mess up on. Avoid this if you can!!
Indeed she is not the worst prof, although her exams are extremely hard even you read all the assigned readings, you could still get a F on midterm. This is what I learned from advertising class, if you want to survive, avoid her!!!!
The structure and the content of lectures are good till 2/3 of semester, but in the end, everybody feels the lack of source- many repetitions, even borrowing from last semester, consecutive video presentations. Contrary to her big argument on <empathy>, her <empathy> to give helpful advice for students is the question.
The midterm was supposed to be from both lectures and readings, but when I got to the midterm, it was 100% readings. One of the text books is the most boring thing you will ever read, and thats why everyone failed. Final "exam" is a group paper which you have a month or so to complete, so that makes up for the crappy midterms.
Alright professor. Her lectures can be very boring. Relies a lot on the textbook. Mandatory attendance.
Boring class, however if you show up to most lectures and read over her powerpoints before the quizzes it's fairly easy. Would only reccomend this class to students who need some extra sleep during the day or just need a straight forward class to boost GPA.
Nice prof, but her midterms and exams are super specific! She's very monotone, talks a lot and kinda puts you to sleep. Most people in this class never paid attention and it was clear. Her midterms are killer, we even had to study the syllabus, wouldn't suggest it as an elective with this prof!
One of the best professors I've ever had. She is super passionate in the field of communication and extremely qualified. Her research and work are also very interesting. I'm finishing my third year now and have made sure I've had her at least once every year because of how much I liked her in my first year. Can't say enough good things about her!
As others mentioned, she knows her stuff, but a hard marker on assignments, papers and exams. Exams are essay based, no mc questions at all. Her exam questions are super specific! Read your textbooks if you wanna pass this class.
Very challenging class, you have to be very attentive to the theories and reading materials. Don't take this course if you trying to get an easy grade.
Over all very good class, you need to do lots of reading and preparation.
Love her class and her! Passionate about advertising and the effects of media. Explains everything clearly, great teaching style. Very open to questions, opinions & debate. If I had the option of taking every single CMN course with her, I would. She is my queen
Not a hard course, but ended up being very stressful. Second time with this professor. The quiz structures are brutal to study for. Group paper instead of a final, which has its pros and cons. Pretty tough marker on the proposal and presentations. I learned quite a bit in this course and still did well. But it was stressful.
Great prof! Very helpful if you actually go to her office hours. If you put in the effort, she will make it worth your while. If you just go to the lectures, you will not succeed. I got an A+ because I went to her office every week or second week just to even clarify or review... even if I didn't have questions.
I really enjoyed her class. she is really nice and she discusses important and interesting topics. She does not a final exam but a paper instead and a visual project that is really fun to work on. the comments on the our work is really clear and helpful. I would definitely recommend this class.
Really great prof. She is so interesting to listen to and always has great ideas. Her class is not too difficult if you follow along.
Read the textbook, go to class and reach out when you need help will lead to success in Dina's classes. She is willing to help students succeed if you take it upon yourself and approach her. Her lectures are good and she is up-to-date on popular culture.
Great prof. Funny and the content was relevant. Great to work with outside the classroom if you had additional questions or needed feedback on something.
Very nice teacher, but some concepts thought in class and most of the lectures can be hard to understand. You can't skip the lectures as they represent half of the points in each test (book + text pack ) But she is a fair grader and will be available to answer any question you may have
She's an awesome professor, the course itself needs reworking. There is a lot of heavy theory here, but she's good at explaining it simply, attendance is 100% mandatory if you want to understand and pass. Tests are super small, but the readings are insanely large, beware of this. Group projects are tough & graded critically. Profgreat, coursemeh
Wonderful woman but not an easy course. The group project is so hard to do well on and will take up SO MUCH of your time. The first midterm is way harder than the second one. Make sure you do your readings for these or you WILL NOT PASS. Lectures are long and nothing is stressed, which makes exams hard. Pay attention to guest speakers
Multiple choice exams are extremely difficult. Most are out of A-E and she puts answers like: A&B or C&D, making you question your answer, even though you thought you knew. Potential to be a good course... taking notes is essential and so is reading the textbook. She is a good speaker, sometimes funny. But not an easy A
She's a nice person but her class is NOT easy. I felt like I had to learn two sets of material because she tests you on both the lectures and the readings. Which aren't very similar and is why you need to really take notes on the readings. Despite all of this, she's a really nice lady and funny too.
She uses echo360 to put her slides up on and keep track of participation. She's really funny and her classes are interesting and the information is up-to-date with media. I never bought a textbook for this class which I regret because it is needed, although I still got a B- in the class from studying just her slides. You get to keep old midterms.
I don't often like my profs - actually I never do, but I loved her. I have a crippling anxiety disorder and was ready to drop the class when I saw group projects AND oral presentations together - but the fashion in which she assigned it made it awesome, I even made new friends from the class. She gave amazing feedback on our proposal paper. A+ prof
Found this class extremely disorganized and not enjoyable. She only taught for three weeks of the semester and was extremely unhelpful when visited during her office hours concerning the group project. Will not take a class with her again.
Great Prof. She tried Echo360 but won't be using it again until it is more reliable. It was good practice for midterms however. You will need the textbook. Quizzes are fair and final exam was fair. Great lecturer, very funny.
I found her material and teaching style kind of dry, she could have explained some things better. Her slides were difficult to decipher, make sure you take your own notes.
Midterms and exams are fair but can be tough, and you need to attend class in order to do well.
Although she is an amazing lecturer and a very interesting woman, this class was so unorganized and expectations were not clear. Midterms were super tough and based on things that were mentioned once. But the group project was a good grade saver
Prof Salha is a kind human being with good intentions. She is passionate about her work and you can tell she cares. However her slides can be vague and only touch on a few point but she'll discuss them for an hour. Often goes very deep in topic discussion. She is very approachable. In my opinion the course needs major reworking.
poorly organized professor, syllabus and grading is unclear. For some assignments she clearly does not know what she is looking for. The reliance on group projects is likely also a result of her not wanting to mark as many assignments. Be careful with who you pick for a group (Comm students are often lazy) could hurt mark or have u do everything
She is very disorganized and unclear of her expectations, she was also very rude to students on many occasions which was hurtful. Group project was not fun and marks are not well reflective of your actual intellectual abilities
Avoid this prof. She is extremely unclear in her explanations and what she expects from students. Group project is a nightmare. Boring material and rude prof.
Nice prof, you can tell she enjoys her subject but if you don't go to class, you'll be lost. Her lecture slides are very vague, so don't depend on them. Her midterm wasn't incredibly difficult, but it wasn't easy either. Make sure you attend class, read the book and take good notes.
Lots of group work, put in the effort & you'll do fine. Go to her office hours as a group & for group paper and will get lots of feedback (not clear in class). The only annoying thing was the only midterm being so late in the semester, so there was a lot of material (20%). Overall the course was pretty interesting! She also brings lots of snacks!
Prof. Salha is a great lecturer and a kind person. Some theoretical concepts are heavy so it's important to attend class. Expectations for assignments could be clearer. Make sure you read thoroughly and attend lectures to do well on her tests. Highly willing to answer questions and provide feedback.
Disorganized professor, seems like she made up the assignments and expectations as she went.
Very nice person and easy to talk with, but doesn't teach in a way that's easy to understand or remember the material. If you skip classes you won't pass. Half of the test is on readings, and about 40 % of the exam is on the readings. Would love to take her again if she worked on her teaching style, she gives too much information than necessary.
Seems like a pretty nice person. Her lectures however do get very long and kinda boring. Shes also a pretty tough grader. We had one midterm of 60 multiple choice questions and a final of 160 multiple choice questions. Dont let this foul you though, they are quite a few tricks in these exams and for the final you only have 2 hours instead of 3.
There are only two multiple choices exams for the course, each one count for 50% of the final mark. Her mid-term are fairly easy, questions are from both lectures and the textbook. For the textbook part, you only need to know the definition of key terms. The final is very difficult. Many questions are not course related.
Good prof, lectures were fine and pretty interesting and so was the subject material. However, she did a midterm worth 50% and a final worth 50% with no opportunities to make up for the grades. Would take her class again.
I got an A in this class, although there are so many group works but I was so lucky because my group members were great. She gave really high marks on videos
Pretty poor lecturer. Doesn't explain class material and exams/assignments don't reflect class material.
Extremely high expectations and difficult midterms. Lots of group work. I would avoid.
After two classes, I can say she teaches very well but you have to at least care about communications to pass. Attendance, midterm, final & group project. Midterm & final are a few long-answer questions (2-3pgs) on lectures & readings. Group projects do well with creativity. Know your theories, attend class enough, bit of effort and you're golden.
Extremely unclear expectations for grades. She doesn't explain assignments. I understand that you can't have your hand held at Uni but she just doesn't care. 'Deal with it yourself' is her catchphrase. There is alot of group work because the prof is lazy and doesn't wanna mark individually. Your mark will suffer for her laziness and she won't care.
As long as you either read the textbook or go to class, you'll do well.
This course is horrible. I can't understand or grasp any of the theories in class because I'm too confused the whole time. The quiz was very hard with over half the class failing it because it was too hard.
Professor Salha is very disrespectful towards her students and will make you feel stupid if you don't understand a concept. She had one midterm of 40 multiple choice worth 40% (only allowed 1 hour) which should be easy since it's communication.. NOPE. Hardest exam in my university career. I don't have enough characters to say how much I hate her.
Professor Salha's lectures are interesting & engaging. She gives a lot of info, so be prepared to take notes on everything she says. Don't bother taking notes on the slides; they're available online. Readings are important, so don't skip them. Make sure all your notes are ready a week before exams. Do study dates & names.
She's really nice, but her lectures are really boring and seem to drag on forever. She cancelled a lot of our classes, seemed bored herself, or just had the TA teach, but don't let that fool you. Her midterm was worth 40% and the final is 60%, and she makes her multiple choice hard, they trick you or are super specific.
Knows tons about her subject but fails badly at isolating what's important, so you end up covering like, two courses' worth of material. Comes off lazy. She assigns up to 4 textbook chapters a week. Don't read entire chapter (majority is unrelated) just memorize key definitions. Important info always comes up at END of lecture so don't leave early.
Amazing lecturer- knows the material, gives plenty of examples& relates it back to modern day society Only 1 midterm& 1 final- do not study the night before! If you follow everything she says, you'll do fine (go to the study groups, do the readings...) Readings were irrelevant, long& boring; however, still important and will be tested on it
DO NOT TAKE HER IF YOU HAVE THE CHOICE!
Great prof! She perfectly balances her lectures between class content and informal conversations. I learned ALOT from CMN3109 and I think this is because of the way she teaches. She gives valuable feedback (use it!). Really enjoyed having her as a prof. Would take again.
I've had Dina before & loved her. She is very easy going & understanding of the busy student lifestyle. She changed the final exam to a final paper which my group already started so it was easy. Got 100%. I took this course before with another prof & failed & took it with her & got an A+. Definitely recommend for an easy A & an entertaining class.
Professor Salha's class was okay. The only grades are the midterm and final exam, so there isn't much of a chance to boost your mark. She also asked very specific questions from the textbook, sometimes the answers are found in the caption to a photo in the text. Overall not bad, her lectures were interesting and applicable to everyday life.
Amazing professor. Very interested in her topic, and it's visible. A lot of little assignments, but they are all incredibly fair and very manageable. Group project, but if you find a good group (she gives you plenty of time) you'll enjoy it. Final is a group paper.
Although she is very knowledgeable in in the subject matter. I found the subject to be extremely dry given the potential this course has. It seem dated and the lectures seemed to last for hours. This course need a really solid update.
Probably the worst prof I ever had and will have. Super hard, was very rude and obnoxious when you asked for help, was even rude to our TA! Exams barely reflect anything we learned in class. Goes off on many tangents, and the class is extremely dry and boring. If you can take discussion groups provided for the faculty I suggest you do so!
I am livid right now at the use of a terrible system called "launchpad" that is essentially a spy tool for the prof and TA to monitor the students progress in studying the material for the course. The software doesn't work 50-75% of the time so by the first midterm I've wasted hours on it. Also, tons of mini assignments without clear deadlines
Dina is a good prof who cares about her students and is super knowledgable. Brings snacks to class often (yay) and her tests and assignments reflect the class content very closely. HOWEVER she has very little concept of time. Don't take a class with her if you have another one right after, you'll be late every time.
Easy A - majority of the course is online assignments (group), which are short and not at all difficult. Final exam is short answer questions.
Professor Salha made a course that could have been very dry and very boring, a lot more tolerable. There were two midterms (10% and 20%) and the rest was group work (an essay proposal, presentation and final paper). Choose your group wisely....
She rambles A LOT. says 100 words about something that could easily be said in 10. Exam was multiple choice, participation matters. sometimes i dont even know where she was going when she was explaining something. would not take again, dont recommend her. nice person though.
Horrible professor,, avoid at all costs
This is a fun class to attend, the professor is very charismatic and unique. The course has interesting topics and she includes outside sources to make it extra interesting. The book comes in handy for the Launchpad quizzes and HW. As long as you pay attention in class, you're good to go.
The exam is extremely difficult and not related to what she taught. Stay away from this professor...
Worse professor I've ever had. Boring lectures, and is no help and leaves everything to the TA's to grade. Does not care about her students, and the TA's are less than helpful.
Most useless prof I've ever had. I asked to book an appointment with her and she refused to speak with us and told us to go to the TAs. Even bettter, the TAs won't respond to my emails :) By far the worst mark I've gotten in university and this is my elective <3 DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE. AVOID IT AND THIS PROF AT ALL COSTS.
One of my 4th year marketing profs told me not to take this class & he was right. This was the worst class I've ever taken. The content was irrelevant, prof is AWFUL, & the grading is insane. I've never cared enough to rate a prof on this website until today. I took this as an "easy" elective. It will be my worst mark since 2nd-year.
Although she talks about her ppt during class, she doesn't explain the concept thoroughly. The content of the class is too heavy and difficult for a student who has just begun to learn communication.
Dont be fooled by how simple the material seems in the beginning. As the months go on the information gets heavier and heavier. It may feel like it makes sense and that it is easy to take in. But with all my years in college and uni, this final was the worst final I have ever had to go through. It looked like a 5 year old copy pasted the question
The structure of her class in relation to midterms and finals is virtually guaranteed to make students fail. Her final exam had a section based on one topic that was worth 40%. That means that if you aced the exam but didn't study this one small topic, your highest possible mark would be 60%. That is ridiculous and completely unfair to students.
This final is by far the most awfully unexpected, unorganized exam Ive ever written. It consists of a very unfair marking scheme, and covers the slightest bits of information. Very detailed oriented, really makes you think, and overall a very unfair exam. Come to class, take detailed notes on EVERYTHING and read your textbook!! SHOOK!!
Worst Professor that I have ever had. The final and midterm were extremely difficult and worse 85% in total. Which means you have no chance to get a good mark if you did bad on exam. She mean to fail students on purpose, one short answer topic that she never taught before worse 40% on the final exam.
The final is so 'amazing' that there is one concept which is never mentioned in the textbook and lectures occured. The worse is, this concept accounted for 40% of the final exam; 100 multiple choice questions accounted for 30% only. Her lectures are not clear as well. Please STAY AWAY from this prof!!!!
She is stingy in offering students help, like when I turned to her, she didn't give my any helpful suggestions. A lot of work are done by her TAs. Exams of her courses guaranteed studendts to fail. She is just a promoter who helps the university to gain more tuitions.
You will use launchpad which is annoying because the website is hard to use. Exam was almost 60 percent. Make sure you go to class before the mid term and exam because she gives some hints. She makes you work for a good mark.
She does not give specific detail about the assignments and then gives you a bad mark on something she told you to do. Her midterm exam was impossible, even if you studied, the most random things were asked and they were worth a lot. Almost my entire group failed or almost failed (and we all studied enough). She makes your life difficult.
The final exam (worth 55%) really messed me up bringing my A- down to a C+. The final exam consisted of multiple choice and short answers, the short answers were worth 70% of the exam and were incredibly specific when she had told us we did not need to study details. A bummer really :( almost as if she was trying to deceive students.
One of the most disorganized classes I have ever attended in my 4 years at university. The group project ended up being worth 70% of your grade and if you got a bad group... good luck. The midterm wasn't until mid November so we did not receive 1 grade before November 15, therefore too late to drop the class. Do not recommend this professor.
I had a great experience with this Prof. She is a great lecturer and was super helpful when I had questions. There was a lot of group work but I had a good group so I guess I lucked out in the end. Overall, I had to work for the grade I received but it was well worth it in the end!
I honestly can't decide if I hated the prof or the course! It was dreadful. The material was dreadful! I think we talked about the telegraph for a whole month. She is soooo monotone! Her tests are so hard! She includes both lecture and text materials so you really have to pay attention to everything she says. And her tests consist of random things
She relies so heavily on the textbook, it is honestly so upsetting to see someone just restate everything she made you read in the week prior. Her lectures are awful. They don't teach you anything and I suggest you skip them, as your brain cells are precious and needed for other courses. Particular is the word she uses for 99% of the lecture, Run.
Don't have much to say different than everyone else. Worst teacher ever. How come university hired someone who has no doctorate and puts professor beside her name? AVOID AT ALL COST!
The class name sounds that the course will be so much interesting, but it actually not and it will much lower than your expectation. prof doesn't provide a rubric for the written work and her expectation is very unclear. Her tone of speaking about the class group project performance was very acceptable. Please avoid her or don't take her classes.
At first glance, the course sounds very interesting. However, it soon becomes very boring, partly because of the heavy course-load, but mostly because of how monotonic prof Dina is. For the group project, the professor didn't give clear guidelines, but was furious when her students misunderstood the assignment. Pls avoid taking this class.
Avoid taking this class at all possible. Sounds like a very interesting class however she barely touches base on the subject. Doesn't follow the Course Description. Has made the whole course about her ethnicity and studying it. Disrespected the class when we didn't properly understand her group project assignment. Assignments not relevant to course
The grading is very strict and the group work is not given a detailed structure and feedback is given very late resulting in a very tight time frame for the next group work.
This could be a really great and interesting class if it were taught by a better professor. She wanted so many components for the group assignment but didn't even put all of them on the syllabus or the instructions. She also did a terrible job explaining the parts she did want. I am not a mind reader, I barely know what I want in life.
Horribly unclear group project guidelines. Gives out marks that do not at all align with how well you followed the guidelines. She has a preconcieved notion of what a good project is, and if you don't read her mind on what that is, get ready to fail. She made a point of actively making fun of my group in front of the class as we were standing there
I really enjoyed professor Salha's classes. Lectures were hard to follow at times and she does have a "my way is the right way" kind of thinking though. The assignments had vague instructions but were easy to do well on if you put effort in. No exams in this class, just three small assignments, a proposal and a final paper.
Loved Prof Salha's class! Her lecture style is really engaging and you watch a lot of videos. She is a really tough marker and I don't think anyone got over an 80 on the final term long group project even though some were really amazing. She has really high standards for quality of work.
Not much to say here except she sucks. Her way or the highway bud. Also, she repeats the same 4 things the entire course "capitalism, consumerism, american dream all suck (just summed up the course for you). She could not care less if you lived or died. 3 hour class on friday evening while she yaps about consumerism was my vietnam. STOP THE YAPPIN
She is AMAZING! Please take her classes if you can! This class was so fun and the content is interesting! She cares about her students and is so nice and welcoming! Great energy and would recommend 100%. Looking forward to other classes with her!
Is clear on what is going to be on tests. Course content is interesting and she is engaging. Love her! Would take her again! She is awesome!
Her exams are bad. They're worth alot, mostly long answer or essay questions and never enough time to complete. Tell me why our final exam is worth 60% of the grade and we only have 2 HOURS to to complete it ??? Doesn't make any sense
She is the most unreasonable professor I have ever met. She will require you to write a lot of essays during the exams. The class content is boring and she will give very few points. This is the first time I have met such a bad professor. Please leave the class with her immediately.
One of the worst. We had 2 tests 1 exam all very long handwritten essays with only 2 hours for a 60% final exam. No grading system, opinion based marking. Essay question on the final wasn't even something we went over in class. Pay attention to lectures right before an exam. Writes exams last min with little thought and care for her students.
2 midterms worth 50% total grade with final worth 50% of grade. All exams were in person, handwritten long answer/essay, grading is completely up to her -- she said she was known as a really tough grader the first class. Attended maybe 4 lectures all semester and didn't buy the textbook but still ended with a A+ but a lot of studying for the exams
Great professor who leads amazing lectures that have you constantly thinking and excited to learn and engage with the material! 10/10 would take again and again
Professor Salha's class was well prepared but at times dry, not at any fault of her own but due to the nature of the content. She posts all the slides to study from, but they're not very detailed so show up to class to get extra information Mini in-class assignments were easy. Quizzes were oddly worded, but if you study you'll do fine.
Prof Salha is an an amazing prof and I've had multiple classes with her. The content is heavy (not her fault that's just the course) but she does a great job with how she presents it. She is super engaging. You definitely have to attend to do well in her classes! She posts the slides but you need the extra information she provides in class!
I loved this class! It was so engaging, and although she provides numerous readings, you can get away with only reading a few a week -- just make sure to rarely miss a class as attendance is recorded for grades, and as her slides are minimal. You can tell she's passionate, and I hope to take another class with her. :)
Prof Dina is primarily interested in your understanding of the material and ability to display it. She's lovely as always! Her classes are very engaging. Not necessarily an easy class, but active participation in class and with the lecture content is all you need.
horrible, she wants to feel like an important class, so she makes it harder than it needs to be. Advertising is simple, basic knowledge. Like, ur not that important of a class and teacher. She thinks she's important and she's not. Her assignments are dumb, her tests are dumb and they're not needed. There are many parts to this review.
I'm being so real, I haven't retained any information from this lady since starting her class. Her class are three hours of just her yapping about theories, scholars, etc. This is my advice: DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Pleaseeee. If you genuinely care about your mental health, I want you to please don't take it.
she does not care for her student what so ever, everything else is a lie, ive asked people in class and they all feel the same, i would drop out if you see this, uottawa in general is bad and their profs like big 98% of them suck and useless, do not take her class, you dont know how you are doing in her class cuz theres2 grade and its midtermsgrade
I took an advertising class before, and I did very well. I do terribly in her class. Someone warned me about taking her course, and I wondered how bad it could be. They were right, and now I am paying the price. If you are taking this course, pick a religion and start praying asap, please.
My biggest advice: DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS literally find anything else or a different professor because she's the worst.. horrible - she talks for the full 3h about nothing most, pick on people for no reason like i rather be homeless then pick her class
Its an easy class but she would make it hard on student. If you have the chance not take this class then don't do it it's not worth it at all. It's a 3 hours class and she just would talk all the 3 hours.
