Very good teacher

What a great proffesor to start chemistry with, i had to study but she sends bunch of emails with DETAILED problems, definitions, and a whole bunch of things, im half-course with her and i wish i could take all my classes with a proffesor like her, i never had to talk or answer questions. TAKE HER

she is really nice and gives you a lot of extra time to turn in the work. if you dont understand a problem then she is more than happy to help you out.

She sends extremely detailed reviews for every test. She gives quizzes as EC and all tests are curved to a total number of points of about 106-110. Her final grade is 88-100 = A. I ended with an A but I studied reviews THOROUGHLY. Its not an easy class, but this is chemistry! Only a handful of us got A's out of about 80 students.

She isn't the most enthusiastic teacher, but it's chemistry. She knows the material and really tries to make sure that the class understand everything. She takes her time and is extremely organized with the way she controls the course. She's definitely an understand and patient professor.

She is one of the best teacher I have ever had!! Always there for you to answer any question. Almost finishing the semester and I'm very glad I took her class. Very detail oriented, and she makes the explanations so easy that sometimes you might thing you know the material. You wont regret. I just took her CHM1045L for the summer!

Great teacher. Explains everything really well. A total of 5 tests plus the mandatory final. The only bad thing about this class is the online homework!!! She should absolutely stop with that because the website is extremely complicated and if you dont have internet at home good luck because the computers at school arent compatible with the website

I am taking her for CHM1025 and next semester I am taking her for CHM1045 and the lab. She is amazing at making sure students understand the material. Make sure you remain up to date with the online homework. I STRONGLY urge to take the lab even if it isn't required. She is very helpful. Emails extra practice problems before the exam.

Super nice. Not difficult if you pay attention in class. She sends you the power points and also does test reviews. She gives extra credit on every test too. NO FINAL. Never opened the text book and had a 102% average in the class.

BEST CHEMISTRY PROFESSOR AT MIAMI DADE COLLEGE! She breaks everything down! Extremely helpful during her office hours. Gives mastering chemistry assignments that reflect the class work. Tests are tricky if you don't study! Make sure to take the complimentary lab! It is a studyhall but an easy A if you study and do all the homework. Don't skip class

Great professor. Exams go up to 108% so there is extra credit available! Do all the online homework as she posts it or you will get behind. She emails practice worksheets and reviews! Emails class powerpoints! She doesn't rely on the book much, but I do suggest reading the chapters and doing practice problems from there as well! study powerpoints!

Shes a great professor but don't get to caught up with that because chemistry is no joke.

If you have a hard time in chemistry take this professor. She explains everything step by step. If you're lost she will be there to help you. The exams are not hard at all. They are just long. Just study your notes and you'll get a good grade. She's such an amazing & nice teacher that I'm taking her for CHM1045L this semester.

Keep a good Notebook. do the study sheets so you can get Extra credit. Finish all the labs, try your best to be accurate and try to pass the test the the best grade possible. on the other hand she is and incredibly sweet lady.

For my first time taking chemistry i got lucky with her. She's very understanding and help with whatever you don't understand. I am not passing with an A but what i can say she will try (as long as you try )to help you pass her class. She gives power points, lecture notes, homework, and extra problems to workout. She's awesome! TAKE HER!

She is a great professor! This course material is not easy at all, but she does a very good job at explaining and likes when we ask questions. Take advantage of her office hours she actually helps. Tests go up to 108% so theirs extra credit. PLTL(EXTREMELY helpful) it also counts as extra credit. Online HW a little annoying but helps your grade10%

One of the best professors I've had so far. She knows her subject incredibly well and her explanations are very clear. This was not as easy class, but it is doable. Your grade will depends on 4 tests (16.25% each), a mandatory cumulative final (25%), and online homework (10%). I definitely recommend her.

She is very easy to talk to and knows her Chemistry. She maintains respect with the student no matter what. Her notes on the board and she talks about the lab are great and very easy to understand and her ability to convey the material clearly is great. Very fair grader and is there to help the students. Wish I could have had her for more classes

Hard class but if you study, you should be fine. She explains well and answers everyone's questions. She gives extra credit on the test so you will always do better than you expected. I recommend PLTL to everyone. Not only is it extra credit, but it helps a lot. STUDY. Go to her office hours if you need clarification on anything. She is great.

This is the most amazing chemistry professor you could ever take. She is clear, interesting, and SHE CARES about her students and is there for you when you have a question or you don't understand a thing. Study from your notes, her power points , do OWL, and sign up for PLTL (she gives extra credit) and you will pass!

She is hands down the best professor I've ever taken. As we all know Chem is not the easiest thing out there, but the way she teaches it makes it actually enjoyable. I ended up failing (with a D) this course with another professor, but when I got her , I was able to pass with an A! Her office hours are always open and she's always willing to help.

I love this professor. I am feeling in love with Chemistry right now. Please, trust me, she's the best. Her lectures are just amazing, straight forward, I haven't had a professor like this before.

The best experience i have had so far. Her teaching approach is the best: she goes over the content without letting place for flaws. I'm doing really good so far, more than 95 in the first and second tests. I'm super excited about this semester, its a shame she wont be teaching CHM1046 in spring.

This beautiful woman who I admire a lot is that kind of teacher that encourages to learn. She do care for her students, if the average of the class is low, she feels terrible and it's because her priority is her student's success.

Its really interesting how lazy some students are. Homework is a way to auto-learn, its a way to prepare yourself for the test. I LOVE Dionne's approach, i do think she is the best chemistry professor on campus.

With professor Dionne I have A on my three exams. She cares about their students. You have to study hard, though. You have to earn your diploma.

Chemistry is not an easy subject, so this class is not an easy A. You have to work for your grade but she is so sweet and the tests do reflect her lectures.

She is just amazing. She's very helpful and sweet, she cares about her students, she does not change subject until everybody understands. She's is always willing to answer any question you might have. Take her, won't regret. YOU NEED TO STUDY in order to get a good grade, but it is Chemistry. So far I have an A on the class. 5 test and a final.

She is clear, precise, efficient, cares about your grades and will help you until you understand it! Gives extra credit if you do PLTL and just study. but that is normal for chemistry. She makes the course worthwhile.

This professor is an incredible chemistry teacher! Despite the fact that chemistry tends to be a hard subject, she is very clear and helpful. She does move quickly and attendance is a MUST. Also, she assigns online homework which is mandatory. Take advantage of her open door tutoring policy- she is absolutely great!

she is an awesome professor, but her exams are so hard to earn an A. she do test out of textbook questions in her test. she does give extra credit. Although she does calculation problems in her class; the pace of the class will be high. Mostly her classes will be in an auditorium; therefore its hard to get attention in her class. U shld work harder

She is an amazing professor. Will really help you if you need help but you have to work outside a class lot. I personally love chemistry because of her. She is caring and super nice and would love to take her again. If you do plan on taking her class just understand you will have to spend a lot of time studying about 2 hours a day since chm is hard

Got a B on the first exam because I knew sig figs from Physics. Didn't study again until the final.... Got F's on 2 exams and still passed with a C. Got a 78 on the final... WHY? Because she is structured and provides every single thing you need to learn. My advice: Worksheets from BLACKBOARD. PLUS SHE IS HOT!!! One of the prettiest profs Ive seen!

Amazing professor, charismatic with great attitude with students. She'll never give you a bad answer or negative energy, all you'll receive from her is positivity. She's clear and very organized explaining, however, she goes very fast, so don't get distracted. You'll have to work really hard to pass this class, because chemistry is a tough subject

She is very cool professor and when u ever need her she is there to help u in any possible to pass her class there is a lot's math be prepare to study hard so much to take in what u need to for this class there are 4 TESTS and one Final Exam that is it I hope that this will help u out to decide good luck to you

Best CHM professor I have had in dade, and I am already in orgo 2. She is caring, and really sweat. Dont expect to pass w/o studying, this is chm. if u study what she tells u to study and pay attention u will get an A. I got A on all my test, and for the final she gives u a list of the topics u need to study. Take her if u wanna learn and get an A.

Professor D loves what she does. She is very knowledgeable in chemistry and I will take her again in a heartbeat. Chemistry is a TOUGH subject, so you have to be prepared to learn and there is A LOT of memorization, but she prepares you for the exams. There are 5 exams and a manditory comprehensive final. She makes you work for extra credit.

She is a great professor. You will understand everything in her lectures, if you don't understand she will explain again, but the tests are SUPER HARD! You have to study a lottttt if you want a good grade on the tests, A LOTTTT!!!!

It's chemistry. The professor helps but whether you pass or not depends entirely upon you. She's a good professor, though I wish her lectures were more fun. I feel like she could give meaning to the things she teacher she other professors do.

This professor was an absolute gem. She gave more than enough resources to learn the materials, and taught in a straightforward and clear way. I had previously struggled with chemistry but now have a great understanding and love for it after taking it with her! Truly phenomenal. The amount of patience this woman has is truly astonishing. She will explain the material over and over again if you need her to. People (lazy people at that) will complain about this class and say it's "impossible" only because they miss every other lecture and expect to magically know the answers during the exams. Take her!

This class had about 100 students its just such a hard environment to learn a subject like chemistry. However the professor herself is good and will happily explain the content as many times as she needs to. If you dont read the book and practice her worksheets you wont get an A. do the homework. And I definitely recommend PLTL tutoring

Just like any chem class it is going to be difficult. She is very caring and will explain you the material as many times as you need. She gives extra credit opportunities in order for you to get extra points. Chemistry is hard, so you basically have to study for your grade & do well on the test. She will just provide you with information.

I took CHM1025 with this professor and so far she is the best chemistry professor I've ever had. Chem is not easy, so you need to study on your own of course, but she is caring and she explains everything in a way that is easy to understand. I will definitely take her again!

TAKE. HER. If you know how to study properly - you will get an A in this class. You must study hard for chemistry - there is no way around it- but this professor makes it very clear what material you need to study. And as a result, makes it easier for students to succeed. (must study at least 2 hrs a day & not have a heavy class load)

Dionne is excellent at explaining the material. She doesnt mind if you ask questions during class. Theres a lot to memorize so you have to study and do all the homework in the book for you to be able to get an A in the class.

I took her for CHM1025 and I had to take her for CHM1045 as well! She is amazing, explains everything again and again until you understand! Really cares about your grade, the test itself has extra credit and there is also PLTL for extra credit. She is over AMAZING!! Definitely worth taking, I wish she was teaching CHM1046!!

I TOOK THIS PROFESSOR FOR CHEM1025 AND CHM1045 she is the best professor you can find in Miami Dade College @kendall campus, her study guide tells you very specifically all the topics that are going to be covered on each test. She's always super nice and happy and you can ask her anything at any time.

Shes a great teacher. Her lessons are very easy to understand, and she gives plenty of examples in class to help you understand.

In tests you must show work in order to get credit. But if you do show the work, made a tiny mistake, and got the wrong answer, you wont get partial credit. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you're absent one day, you might miss a whole chapter.

Super sweet prof. Demanding class. Requires a lot of independent study. She flies by the material because there's a lot of content. Available during office hours for questions. Not an easy class but if you work REALLY REALLY hard for the A (or you're naturally really good at chem), you can get it.

This class is already very hard. She is the one of the few professors that gives extra credit with both PLTL and on tests. She explains very well. If you study and do the homeworks, you can get an A. Study using the extra optional worksheets she posts with practice problems. The people writing bad reviews didn't study and excepted a passing grade.

She's a wonderful professor. She explains everything well and provides plenty of practice to help the students understand. Without her teaching, I don't know if I'd be able to pass chemistry.

She is an amazing professor. One of the few ones that actually care about explaining 1045 concepts in depth instead of just showing the basic "how to solve the problem". Her test are challenging but in a good way, if you put effort into learning the concepts it will pay off. She will make you love chemistry. Definitely take her!
