TAKE HIM!!!! Mr. Patel was super helpful and understanding! Awesome prof. would answer every question and show you how to do anything you asked. Even if work was a little late he would still except it, one paper on a topic of your choice, a team paper, and open book midterm and final. He cares about his students and wants you to succeed!

This professor is AWESOME!!! Definitely take him if you can. FYI, you'll probably fall asleep during the lecture portion, so grab a coffee before heading to class (it's excel, so go figure). Beware the pop quizzes!!! Bring your book at all times, it's open-book for quizzes.

Professor Patel was one of the easiest and nicest professors I've had so far. Easy A. Do the work, you will pass. There have even been times where I slacked a little and just talked to him & he would accept late work and take no points off. I never really paid attention to lectures but there are pop quizzes which are open book/notes. Need textbook!

Adjunct at Caldwell University, Easy class but LOTS of homework. Tough grader when it comes to papers . 2 Papers including a group project. You will need the book for SAM, pop quizzes after each chapter lecture. Lectures were boring but tutorials on SAMS and case problems were easy.

This is an easy A class as long as you put in the effort, you must buy the materials. Everything is Online and he does give out pop quizzes. Also there is an individual paper and a team paper. Attendance is required and you are given a grade on it.

I highly recommend taking this professor. He does everything he can to help you understand how to use excel. The class is easy if you stay on track with your work. This class is intense with the work load, but the professor makes it easier because he is very understanding of issues that you may have. Do not take this course with anybody else!

You have to buy the textbook because all the coursework, exams, homework is done through the book and the program. Tons of hw but its done step by step through the book and is very easy just slightly time consuming. Three exams that are taken in class on the computer so get a seat away from the prof so you can look up answers! GREAT GUY!!

He's a great professor. It's an easy course. The lectures are straightforward and the lab is easy, just follow the directions in the textbook. The homework is okay, you can finish it in lab if you have time. There was 2 take home exams, super easy, and 1 in class exam in lab. You can easily search up the answers. There's also a group presentation.

Professor Patel is one of the greatest professors I've ever had, he lets you turn in work late, and if you email him late at night or on a weekend he will still answer you!

This is a Great Professor, I got an A in this class just do the homework . PLUS the midterm part 1 is take home, part 2 in class same for the final , Open houses are extra credit and there is another extra credit. Always there to help and the exams Based on training exactly.

One of the nicest professors at Montclair State! He's very understanding and cares for each student. His lectures are a bit long but it's an easy A. There are some pop quizzes but you're allowed to use your textbook and the powerpoint slides he posts online. Also very organized!

Prof. Patel is a nice guy who cares about students and tries to do what he can to help and be fair. A lot of work for this class, e.g. online tutorials, quizzes, and exams every week, for one. Patel helps with assignments during the lab. If you are having trouble, you can talk to him. You have to do the work, but would pick him if I were you.

Dipesh Patel was friendly and super approachable. The class was mostly self taught but Professor Patel occasionally gave quizzes. He was also really helpful in answering any questions about the assignments/projects. Make sure to have laptop (that's not Apple) with excel for class.

He is pretty easy in the beginning of the semester, but don't take that for granted because the material does get harder towards the end so if you don't know what you were doing in the beginning, you're going to be screwed by the end. He is pretty clear with what he wants. If you ask him, he will help clarify things for you.

DIpesh is the actual man, you just do the work (which is all online), and you pass easily. The midterm and final is a given good grade too. There is literally no reason to not take him.

I took him during the Winter semester. It was very fast paced with lots of assignments due. He helps you a lot with the work and as long as you follow the textbook and online training, you will do well in the class. Most of the homework and tests are online. Midterm and Final not hard, just know Excel. Great professor with clear instructions.

This guy is the best!!! I loved his class, just don't waste money on buying the physical book because if you pay for the $79 online package, it comes with it, and that's all you need pretty much. There is a lot of work, but offers extra credit, multiple tries on the training exams, and let's you submit assignments late with still a good grade.

Prof. Patel is easily one of my favorite profs so far. The lecture is very heavy and often boring. Most work is in lab time. Attendance is taken both in lab & lecture so try to show up. Homework heavy but homework, as well as midterm & final, include step by step processes for completing. One group project and team presentation. Highly recommend!!

Prof. Patel was one of my favorite professors I took at montlair. Lectures and lab are mandatory. He is super super understanding and very willing to help with anything. There is one presentation, but it is very manageable. He made the midterm and final open book. 10/10 prof, would take again.

A really clear and chill professor. All of the assignments besides the in-class are on Canvas. He will mention that attendance will not be graded, but GO TO EVERY CLASS MEETING. People who are in class will only be given the in class assignments; which take a big chunk out of your grade. Do the work the day of the lecture and relax for the week.

Very chill and cool dude. The class is a lot of work and attendance isnt mandatory but go to class anyway because hell give surprise in class assignments. All the work is listed on canvas. Wouldnt recommend taking this class as a non-business major though.

Easy professor & self explanatory professor. As long as you start the assignments when they were assigned, you should have no problem finishing everything on time. Always be sure to go to class because he gives in-class assignments randomly and you won't know about it unless you are in lecture. Would definitely take again

Patel is a great professor, but the class is mostly self-taught through SAM and online assignments. He is simply there to guide you through the assignments and help you if you need it. The work is not hard, but there is a ton of tedious work. Show up to every single class or the infamous "In-Class assignments" will kill your grade.

Such a caring and kind soul. He tries his best to be accessible! He is not a tough grader HOWEVER excel is a difficult program and gets progressively more difficult as you go on. Take advantage of TA hours because some homeworks can be difficult. Lectures are non-mandatory but sometimes there is group work to do so go to every class! No warning!

Professor Patel makes you work for your grade. However, as long as you attend lecture and follow the assignments and occasionally go to a few extra lab hours, you should pass with at least an A. Unfortunately I did not study for the final as much as I should had and ended with an A-. DO NOT hold off from the homework or you will be overwhelmed!

He lays everything out through modules on canvas and it is all super simple if you pay attention to the lectures, some are easy enough without them so its your choice. The one thing I didn't like were his in class assigments. They're only during the lectures and if you miss it you can't make it up. Great guy!

Prof Patel is AMAZING! He is such a great professor who knows exactly what he is teaching. His class is based on a couple of assignments that are due weekly. He gives the students enough time to complete the assignments and is always there for questions or concerns. You won't regret taking this prof.

In the beginning, the class seemed daunting because of the confusion with cengage. Later, everything became so much easier. You can get work done ahead of time. Everything is online and is really easy. In-class assignments were my only stress. Be prepared for theCapstone project. Professor is VERY understanding so if you have a problem, go to him.

This guy is the best hands down. Class was informative, although a lot of work it is material worth knowing. Pop quizzes are an easy 100 if your paying attention in class. Fun project topics. A professor that actually cares about you and being 1 of 50+ people he continues to know everyones name in all his classes.

He's a really good professor, I wish he taught more classes. Though, some in-class assignments were confusing, just be cautious doing those. SAM assignments are easy, just do those in time, can even get work done ahead of time. Extended many due dates for assignments, curved the midterm, very understanding, approachable, and respected professor.

Class is asynchronous. So he wont be teaching but if you need help, he will help. Kids just wait to the last minute to do the work and complain all the time. This class was needed as a requirement, its easy work. U have a week to complete 1 module. Just don't wait to the last minute. work manageable, excel is self learning rmember that.

Professor Patel was super helpful through email. The only reason why he gets so many negative reviews is because most of the people procrastinated until the last day and then complained about getting bad grades. The syllabus is clear and you would know from the beginning that there is a lot of work. Overall, not a hard class, just a lot of work!
