This was a very worth-while introductory course for those interested in a hospitality management degree and he was very knowledgable about everything that we discussed in the course. You could really tell that he wanted us to take something away from his class and I know that a lot of us students did.

He had many speakers, and he knew a lot about all the industries, and was very knowledgeable. He always was understanding if you need help. Attendance was taken every class and you cannot miss more than four.

Very interested in the subject material which kept the class interested as well. The way the class was taught was through speakers which introduced us to many different areas of the profession, very helpful in deciding if this major is right for you. I enjoyed his style of teaching, very kind and fun.

Very helpful, not too difficult of a class.

This class was super easy. The hardest thing was waking up for the 8am class. It was also an interesting class, we learned a lot about different kinds of hotels. I felt like he was bias toward luxurious hotels, but that is he's specially. I only used the book when I took the online tests.

I love Dipra. He makes class enjoyable. The lectures did not seem long because he made it interesting. I liked how applicable the lessons are. The tests are online and open book, and you don't have class the day of the test: Super helpful! Dipra got me excited to get out into the real world and start working. I would recommend this class!

Professor Jha tries to have guest speakers that have all different kinds of background in the hospitality industry. He was always good about giving reminders about the different projects that you have coming up and always sent out an email at the beginning of the week to discuss what you would be doing that week. Great professor, HRTM 479 is not your usual lecture/powerpoint. Really makes you aware of society and hospitality world

Fairly easy, informative, great intro class for the HRTM major. Make sure you show up and follow directions for assignments in the syllabus; but as long as you do that, you should get an A.

Professor Jha was a great professor. His lectures sometimes seem a little long but he has plenty of experiences to share which makes them interesting. The class was very easy but you still learn a lot. I would definitely recommend this class or any other class with Dipra.

Dipra is very talented and highly respected in his field. His lectures are very personal and interesting. EXCELLENT public speaker who gets his audience engaged and keeps them interested. Learned a lot from his knowledge of the hospitality industry.

I love love love Dipra! He always works with students if they're having troubles, and he is very understanding! For this class, you have to write 8 page case studies, but they're super easy. He likes them formatted a certain way, and if you follow the guidelines, you'll be fine! He is great to talk with and puts the students first. Busy guy!

This is a non-traditional class and is the capstone for HRTM students. You are required to have 3 books but only really need the case manual and bankable business plans. Dipra is such a great professor. He always has experiences to share and is a great network to have. There is a final project. My advice: start early & get it done.

Advanced Lodging is a fairly easy course. There are discussion posts and cases studies, as well as one project (not hard at all). Because it was an online course I was able to use my notes and the book on the tests. I honestly only ever opened the book for my project and for tests. You do have to put a fair amount of effort into the case studies.

He's part of my top 3 influences in my college career. He helped me see how the hospitality industry works. He always keeps his students updated on what's going on in the hospitality industry through social media. Not only is he an awesome teacher, he's alot of fun as well.

Dipra is such a great teacher. This class was great because it was mainly discussion based. It was nice to put everything I have learned over the years into case studies and my final business plan. I'm going to miss Dipra and his stories, humor, and care that he shares with the students.

Even though there's alot of reading for this class, it doesn't make it any less easy than some people might think. You'll still learn alot from this class.

I always appreciate specifics so I liked the breakfast tray comparisons or the shoe shine example. The more specific the advice, the more helpful it was.

Amazing professor, he really interacts and engages with this student. I know that he is extremely business, but I would have loved to take more of his classes in the classroom rather than online. I cannot say enough about him, take his classes!!! He provides student with great opportunities to learn, and is so knowledgeable about the industry!

Fun class

Every week there is an assignment due on Friday, super easy. The PowerPoint are helpful, didn't use the book once. Basically do the assignments and put some thought into them, you will pass. Would definitely recommend this class. Dipra is always traveling somewhere, but gets things graded in an orderly fashion.

The lectures may be long, but every bit of information is useful and counts.

One of the best professors I have ever met or had. His network is huge, and he is extremely passionate about his job and helping students find their niche in the hospitality industry.

Super enthusiastic and fun. Takes interest in each student and cares about our future.

This study abroad experience will one that I will never forget and Dipra did a great job planning the trip and making it exciting while we were there. He made sure everyone enjoyed their time there and was excited for all of the activities.

Dipra is my favorite professor. He doesn't lead a class that takes up all your time, but he leads a class where due dates are important and responsibility is a must. I would pick Prof. Dipra Jha over any professor at UNL.

Prof. Dipra Jha is one of the most respected instructors on campus. His will, determination, and investment in insuring students have the tools to succeed is unparalleled. While I am not a Hospitality Major, he has gone out of his way every time to make sure I am prepared for the next task. Words can not describe the significance of this professor.

I went on the Oman and UAE study tour and it was amazing. I would recommend this trip to anyone in the hospitality field wanting to experience luxurious hospitality. Dipra does a great job setting up a very informative and once in a life time trip.

The Oman and UAE study tour was an amazing opportunity to interact with Dipra Jha and talk to him about his experiences and knowledge of these countries. We were able to see numerous luxury aspects of hospitality and Dipra was right there the entire time to talk about the possibilities in the industry.

Dipra is one of the best professors to learn from. He has a worldly perspective and is a true expert in Hospitality. It has been a privilege to be his student!

Attendance mandatory but allowed several skips. Amazing professor. Very respected in the hospitality industry and has great experiences and stories to share with the class. Highly recommend taking any course of his. On-line courses are typically very easy but lectures are incredibly interesting if course is offered in class.

Dipra is an excellent professor. He is very involved in the hospitality industry, and the lectures and discussion that he provides shows it. His experience in the industry and around the world are great to learn from. This class in particular offers great guest speakers, intellectually stimulating assignments, and an extremely useful final project.

Dipra led the study tour I attended through the hospitality program. His knowledge and expertise in the industry taught us well throughout our time in the foreign country. He has made excellent connections and relationships with hospitality professionals around the world, who were great to visit and learn from.

The reading is easy and actually very interesting. There were no test or quizzes but a couple research/interview papers. I would definitely recommend this class with Professor Jha he sends frequent reminders which are helpful when taking the class online.

The London and Ireland study abroad experience was amazing!!!! I wouldn't of wanted to do it with any other professors at UNL. If you ever get the chance to go on a trip, do it! You will not regret it!!!

Classes with Dipra are always something I look forward to. He is incredibly insightful, knowledgeable, and is always available for guidance, career advice, he is a powerful advocate for students, and always offers to be a job reference. Traveling with Dipra in this class is something I would do again in a heartbeat and reccomend to all.

Traveling with Dipra is a must! This trip was one of the best and most memorable experiences I have ever had. He is very knowledgeable in the hospitality and tourism industry. The things you get to do and see on this trip are probably things you wouldn't do on your own. Absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend!

Professor Jha is by far the best professor I have ever had at UNL. He has a lot of knowledge about the Lodging Industry and makes the class engaging with real-world examples. We got to collaborate with students in Oman and Dubai through an online virtual classroom setting; coolest classroom experience ever. I learned a lot and loved this class.

A great professor who definitely shows his passion for hotels through this course. Even if you are not considering going into the hotel industry, this class is very interesting. Definitely take this class if you get the chance.

Professor Dipra truly has so much experience in the field and strives to bring this aspect to class. His network is HUGE. Starting this semester he has set an COIL project, which is essentially classes connecting to other countries. Our class was able to have honest, in depth conversations about the life, culture, and industry of Dubai and Oman.

This was my second course I took with Professor Jha and thoroughly have enjoyed his classes! It's easy to tell he is extremely passionate about his work and is happy to be in class each day. Dipra has SO much knowledge and experience relating to the hospitality industry. He teaches by referring to personal experiences and sharing stories of his own work, which makes his classes so much more interesting.

He's a fantastic professor and is very knowledgeable in the field of hospitality, specifically lodging. I highly recommend taking any classes with him, especially any study abroad trips. He truly cares about his students and want them all to succeed after graduation.

Dipra was a great teacher for intro to lodging. He makes the class interesting and invites our own personal experiences as well as experiences from those in the industry. The COIL project is worth the work and I highly suggest taking an active part in it!

Professor Dipra Jha is the best professor I have ever had. He is very passionate about the Hospitality program but especially lodging/hotels. He will share the amazing experiences that he has had as a professional and a guest. He is an easier grader, as long as you follow the outlined requirements. I recommend taking at least one class with him.

Professor Jha is the best professor I have had in college so far. I learned so much, and he has so many connections with speakers he had present for us. He always makes class interesting, and he is a reasonable grader.

Professor Jha has been one of my favorite Professors at UNL. He makes class enjoyable and the homework and projects have shaped me into a better student and I will apply all knowledge and material to my future in the hospitality and tourism industry. This class was highly beneficial for my learning and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Dipra knows what he is talking about but does not overcomplicate things. He is not worried about grading tough, he is mostly concerned with making sure you know your stuff. Great professor and very knowledgeable. He encourages you to think outside the box and grades based on your creativity and ingenuity.

Lodging w/ Professor Dipra is an AMAZING class! Most of the classes are COIL, so if you attend and listen to the presentations- you'll do great! There are no tests, and the grades are mainly participation based. There are a few other assignments, but grading is lenient. You'll leave this class with great new resume material too- if you participate!

Always talks about his experience in the industry and is really inspiring. He loves what he does and it shows.

Dipra cares about whether or not you take something away from the class, not necessarily about the grade, so as long as you show up to class, be engaged, and put some effort into the assignments, you will get an easy A! Not only that, but I thought his lectures were very interesting, as he tied many of his personal experiences to them!

Highly recommend taking any class you can with Professor Jha! He is my favorite! He's traveled to the coolest hotels and has taught us so much that we can apply to our future careers whether you're a hospitality major or not. You have the opportunity to learn from hospitality institutes across the world, which is really neat! Easy but great class!!

Professor Jha is the best! He's an expert in the lodging industry and has various assignments that are insightful and fun. His projects are applicable but not too difficult. The best part of his class is that you get to communicate with other cultures via Zoom & learn a lot about the hospitality industry around the world. 10/10! Loved this class.

I loved taking this class! Professor Dipra made the lectures interesting by incorporating real examples and learning about different cultures. You get out of this class what you put into it. This class inspired me to travel the world using the knowledge I have learned. I would take this class again!

Professor Jha is amazing! If you have the opportunity to take a class with him definitely take it. He is looking to expand the idea of online classes and allow for different types of online class learning experience. Definitely one of my favorite UNL professors.

This class is the best one I have ever taken. Professor Dipra is very knowledgeable on all topics in the hotel industry. I thought his class was very interesting and fun. He shares a lot of his stories in class and has had the coolest experiences all around the world. I recommend this class to anyone who is an HRTM major.

Dipra is amazing! This online course is graded based off weekly discussion posts and one paper.

Professor Jha has been one of the best and most helpful professors I've met so far in college. He cares about his students outside of the classroom and always wants them to do well.

Professor Jha's Advanced Lodging is an online class. There are very few assignments, so as long as you do them & communicate with Professor Jha-it is an easy A. We also watch really interesting documentaries about luxury hotels around the world. It's a class worth taking if Professor Jha is teaching.

Highly recommend taking HRTM 485 with Professor Jha! He does a great job of communicating with the class weekly, and he is always willing to help when you have questions. You get to watch some really neat videos on the behind the scenes of major hotels and discuss with classmates!!

Professor Dipra made this class easy to complete in only 5 weeks. I never felt stressed. He also gave weekly reminders as well as a detailed syllabus.

Professor Jha is a great professor! This summer class was a super easy 5 week online class with discussion boards where you can see other students' ideas. I enjoyed the first-hand learning that was involved with interviewing someone within the hospitality industry.

HRTM 374 with Professor Jha was interesting and easy. He offers great insights into the hospitality industry and is always available to help if you need it.

Dipra is the best professor I have had at Washington State so far. He truly cares about all of his students and wants everyone to succeed. With Covid, I was worried that I would not look forward to online classes, but I looked forward to his class every week. He is an amazing professor and I guarantee everyone who took his class would say the same
