can not understand her. she is indian. she says she has been here for 30 yrs. she needs to take some kinda speech classes.
Awesome teacher! You will pass her class if you are willing to put in the time. Definitely take her! English is pretty decent. She gives excellent reviews and is strait forward. Great Teacher!
A nice woman and a good teacher. Very fair in her grading. One of the better stats teachers
...is nice one minute, mean the next-has major mood swings. Gets mad if you don't ask question's and yet makes you feel stupid when you do. She practically announced it to the whole class i failed a test....i dropped..
a really good teacher. i took her for college algebra and trig, but had to drop b/c it was too hard and now i have her for precalc 1 again. Don't get offended when she yells, its in good intent
She is a nice and helpful teacher, she does picks on some people in the class, mostly Indian kids as she is Indian too. She is strict and funny some times. I think one should take her class to study and have fun!!!!! =)
she needs to learn how to speak better english.
She is cool and nice teacher to have, she is funny and helpful, she yells at students but in a good intent. One should take her class to have fun~~~~~
She tries to be thorough, but she teaches very fast. It's almost like you have to know the material before you get there. Her English is broken. I found her difficult to understand. She is very nice. But unless your math is strong I would suggest someone else.
She is a very good professor and cares. But one must go into this classahving a solid base in algebra. She is fair and will explain but, will yell at you if you dont pay attention
She is the worst math teacher i ever had. Drop her class untill it's too late. She constantly makes mistakes and gets very deffensive when students correct her. she never gets ready for her class and is proud of it. If you like Math, don't take any classes with her coz you'll start to hate the subject.
This class was very hard, and graded harshly. The teacher likes to yell a lot so if you take her watch out because she will start flipping out if you do not understand.
She Is Not easy Do The Home And Pratice test, also try reading up on the chapter before she explains It. It Will Help You Alot. TRUST ME. She Is Very Fair And If the Class is Nice She Will make Extra Credit problems to help ur grade. but they will not be easy. Good LUCK!!!!
Perfect teacher, would help anytime anyday. i was in her class twise and always learned more than expected. Would love to be in her class again.
She had so strong of an accent that I could barely understand her. She wrote very small on the board so at the FRONT of the class, I couldn't read it. She based her grades off of using a $100 calculator. She didn't teach her methods very well and confused me since the book said one thing and she said another. STAY AWAY!
She expects you to do the work! She will take all the time she can to help you understand the topics. She gives 2 hours a class day worth of office hours for extra help. She answers email promptly. She returns phone calls! Her test are easy if you study the material! She drops one of your lowest test grades, except for the final test. Extra test!
Honestly if you go to class and do the homework the test are a piece of cake. Really practice with the formula card. Her test are not difficult at all if you pay attention, read over the notes that she will give you, and do a few homework problems as a review/practice the night before. And even though she does have an accent you'll get used to it.
She is a really good teacher she gives extra points i got a 28 on a test and she still passed me with B for the class.... take her.... and tests are easy
She is a smart woman but she just swears everyone in the class should know what she knows. If I had the chance I probably would take her again so I believe if you want to take her make sure that you are on top of your game and study.
LOVE HER! Extremely amusing, makes the class very enjoyable. Very helpful and makes sure the class knows what is expected of them for the tests. She loves her job and it shows. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended.
She definitely knows her stuff and is on point. She will help you if you pay attention but if you miss classes and are wander she knows even if you don't think she does. Do well on the quizzes and HW and you will do well on the tests. It's the exact same stuff. She also drops the lowest test grade. Not easy but fair.
Shes alittle intimidating at first but if u prove to her u are trying she will do what ever she can to help u. She will repeat things over and over for u if need be. She does play favorites but its usually the class it self. if she likes the class she will be great if she dont then ur gonna have a tough class.
Mean! Made a girl in my class cry once. Hates when no one asks questions but makes you feel dumb when you do ask a question. Insulting. Would not recommend for a subject you know youre gonna have trouble understanding because she is hard to understand. Felt that I had to teach myself. Thumbs down
This was the first time taking this kind of stuff. I felt she was very unclear on what to study for. I am a returning college student and she was very defensive when I asked anything and more than half the class is failing. This is because she can not teach but knows the subject. probably one of the worst teacher I've had.
Proff Bardhan is an amzing proffesor. everyone rips on her for being tough on u. STOP CRYING. if she was the laid bck lady tht doesnt give a crap u wouldnt learn the subject.
I actually thought she was a great teacher.. shes hilarious. sit in the front, participate, and read the books and study the notes.. and use her office hours and tutorinf center.. youll get an A
She's so mean! She made a girl cry in front of the entire class. She's a good teacher but sometimes her accent is hard to understand. She's really smart but unapproachable. I would recommend her if you want to learn but don't take her if you want to enjoy class..
One of the best calculus teachers I've ever had. She really knows what she's talking about. Even if the class is not a walk in the park, you learn the material.
Professor Bardhan is extremely helpful and has a good attitude about teaching her classes, whereas other math classes, the instructors are stone cold. I pretty much abused her office hours and she wants you to do well and learn. She cares. Even if she yells at you, it is in good faith. Just stay on top of your work every week and you'll be golden.
This class is definitely not boring. She has a strange way of teaching. She's sarcastic & yells alot but if you "get" her personality & sense of humor, you'll enjoy the class. The material is hard but if you don't miss class, do the work, participate, & go to her for help, and she will try to work with you. One of the better math professors
VERY NICE LADY, shes really helpful if you are wiling to put in the effort, exams are easy, straight from the practice test, which she goes over the week before. Juz say hi to her once a week in her office hours , ul defintly get an A :D .. good luck
gd teach she helps those who want help sarcastic nd yells bt with gd faith takin her again 4 calc I which she says is no joke its only hard if u make it hard
I took her for hybrid Stats - she is extremely helpful and knows exactly what she is talking about. Don't leave studying for last minute and ask for help when needed and you will be just fine. She is probably the best professor to take for Stats.
Don't take her hybrid if you think she is going to teach, because she doesn't. Might as well have been all online.
Statistics is a hard subject..but Bardhan really tries to help her students. Being in a 40 people class made it hard to get one-to-one help on the material..but if you ask a question she will not be rude about it. Just don't ask her to repeat something if you were talking or came in late..she will make you feel horrible
Dr. Bardhan is an excellent teacher, you just have to get used to her accent. I had her for Many classes during my time at CCC. I made sure I chose her for all of my math classes because I knew what she expected. She is very nice and helpful and knows her stuff, but don't mess with her - don't slack off, do your work and you'll be good.
Intro to Statistics online course isn't online at all. Don't by the physical textbook, just study online with Pearson MyMathLab. Exams are cut and paste from the textbook, handouts and final is 50 question department exam. She provides no help, just auto sends out weekly handouts. Only take this course if you want to teach yourself Statistics
She cares if you care and is helpful if you ask! Sweetest and funny humor loved her in Hybrid Statistics:)
Makes you feel stupid if you don't know exactly what she's talking about. Very unapproachable and demeaning. Only take her if you take criticism very well and already know calculus well.
I had her for Calc I a few semesters back. Very good teacher, right sense of humour. If you have difficulty understanding her accent, that's your fault. I had 0 difficulty understanding her.
She is fabulous! By far my favorite professor at CCC. Did not understand Calc at all until I had her. She is willing to work with you, I HIGHLY recommend her.
Take HER! She's the best. She thinks her students as her children. Best math professor in the world. I really wish I can take calc3 with her, but she's not teaching it. In fact, she is the best professor. TAKE HER!
AWFUL so unclear, terrible spelling and grammar, did not write a clear syllabus in any way.
I have had many different professors during my journey at CCC and none of them can even come close to Professor Bardhan. She is truly amazing, as a person and a professor. I never was able to understand math until now. I wish that I knew about her sooner. Her method of teaching is truly unique and extremely effective. I would recommend her to all !
I would highly recommend that NO ONE take any class that she teaches. Especially not Statistics online. That would be the biggest mistake you could make. She is no help, whatsoever-doesn't care about any voiced concerns. She has terrible grammar & it's extremely difficult to understand what she writes. Be prepared for NO multiple choice, whatsoever
Up front from the start. Took Stat 1 online. She gave a syllabus/timeline to keep you on pace. The course was difficult and you must be disciplined to pass. Quiz grades are averaged and testing is on campus. Lowest test grade is dropped. The course is self taught from the textbook but she will offer advice on the graded tests.
She is a very caring professor. She has made time to me with me each week. She is organized and very fair. I would differently take a course with her again.
Grades too forever to receive. Tests were done at testing center, and SNAIL mailed back. I didn't receive grades until after my next test so I never knew how I was doing in the class. Notes were posted - no additional help or lecture. Be prepared to teach yourself b/c this is the laziest effort I've ever seen from a professor in an online class
Really cares for her students. She tries to yell at the class to seem intimidating, but you'll realize she's a sweet lady that wants her students to succeed. Do your hw and you'll be fine. Go to class because it's not easy to learn a topic if you miss the lecture. She gives "pop quizzes" which are just 2 simple questions based on the hw.
Absolutely LOVED this professor. She's nice but tough, like your strict grandma basically. I took her for stats and she shows you how to use the calculator instead of memorizing all the formulas, which makes sense instead of forcing you to memorize things you wont need. She'll work you through all the steps and even give you notes to print
Took her Calc 2 class and loved it. While her accent can be difficult , her teaching was solid ("Never memorize. Always understand why you are doing it!" was repeated often) with plenty of examples. My favorite part was when someone (including me) said something stupid and were yelled at or told to sit in the corner. Motivated me not to mess up.
We didn't use the book at all. Waste of money. Everything is based on the notes she provides. I struggled greatly with the accelerated online class, but she curved the final. I actually don't think I deserved to do as well as I did. She was compassionate and tried to make sure we all were on board with understanding the instructions. I'd take again
Took online Stats. She made you go into the testing center to take tests. She gave one or two pages of notes per chapter which do not even have all of the test info on them. On the tests she would questions that use tables of 30 numbers which is just completely unnecessary as you can show that you know the material with just 5 or 10 numbers.
Prof. Bardhan is a caring but strict teacher. I tool her online Intro to Statistics class, and it was challenging. Class required a lot of time. The tests were difficult and confusing. That said, Prof. Bardhan was quick to answer questions and respectful even when I struggled. Difficult class, but if you have the time you can get an A.
I took her online class and honestly it was a lot but, in a 6-7 week class that is what I was expecting. You have to come in to the testing center to take 3 tests and the final so heads up. Also, look over all her notes and learn the calc functions right away. You just need to stay on top of all the work, an A is possible with good effort!!!
She tried to yell at class but you will realize she's very sweet lady. I took her hybrid class, I got an A and I feel like everything very clear and easy. As long as you study and make sure you understand her notes you will be fine. Her test are base on her notes.
Expect to teach yourself the entire curriculum if you take the class online. Instruction is limited to a set of lecture notes for each module (nothing that can't be found in the textbook). Your entire grade is based on four exams and a couple of online quizzes. There's no graded homework or other opportunities to make up points.
Not one of my favorite professors. I took her for statistics online, The syllabus did not have a clear grading criteria shes hard to contact unless you email her, her emails are just as glib as the syllabus. The first two weeks it wasn't even made clear that we had access to additional practice or lecture videos online. Have to know what to ask.
Perhaps the worst professor I have ever taken here at Camden County college. She is rude, if you ask her a question about her lesson she will scold you and call you dumb and complain about you following up with a question. She makes hard remarks to student grades and is very unprofessional and a joke to be a professor at this college.
You have to teach yourself the entire curriculum and the professor is horrible about communications.
She is an awful professor, why pay for an online class just to teach yourself the whole entire time? Not only that but shes very rude once you email her and expect to wonder the whole entire online semester with her.
awful professor, doesnt post lectures or enough notes for you to pass exams. The notes she does give are nothing like the exams and neither are the practice problems you have to teach yourself everything from the textbook. Puts the least amount of effort into her online classes dont waste your time with this professor
Worst teacher I have had at Camden County College. Aggressive and condescending when students ask questions, notes are disorganized and she uses a different textbook for the notes than the one assigned to us making it more difficult to follow along with the sections. Has stated that she does not care what students think because of her tenure. AVOID
I would highly recommend NO ONE take any class that she teaches!!!!!!! She is awful and rude!!
Avoid at all costs!! (I am a good student and never complained of a professor but..) 1. She doesn't teach/explain well 2. she assumes that you must know everything 3. Grades horribly (no known criteria) 4. talks negatively to students
Tt was an accelerated course when I took it. It was all online but I had to pay a testing center to proctor all my tests since I live out of state. I didnt know how to use a graphing calculator but it was required. No direction. I failed all the exams but one and she curved it for minimum passing. All As and Bs in my program at grad but thisclass.
Avoid Avoid AVOID & AVOID You won't learn anything with her and won't get anywhere!
The is a lot better professors for calculus II . she is rude and expects you to know everything ! *your grade is based on only 3 tests
DO NOT TAKE HER! Thats all I wanna say. She is the worst professor any one could ever have. Do not understand at all as a student prospective. Be ready to take pop quiz in middle of the lecture, be ready to get yelled at, Be ready to get scold! Tells your exam n quiz scores in front of the class! Again DO NOT TAKE HER if you wanna pass this class.
Avoid at all costs. Especially if you suffer from severe anxiety and depression. She really doesn't care about students. Don't listen to what these people are saying. The pandemic was especially rough this semester, and this class probably escalated my mental health many levels.
Prepare to completely teach yourself the whole curriculum. Homework's are very tedious, around 27 sections, each taking anywhere from an hour to 4 hours to complete. This is a test heavy course. 3 exams and a final to which the lowest of the 3 is dropped. Many grammatical mistakes on tests and practice exams. Very tough to understand her recordings
I do not recommend this professor at all. I had to teach myself everything and struggled on the tests. Your grade is based on 4 exams and this is probably the hardest class I had to take because the professor notes are not clear.
Statistics is a very hard class to take online, especially when the professor doesn't offer enough time for review. There was not enough time to understand the formulas. The assignment had a 2 day timeframe and once they closed, that was it. The exams were difficult, and not in Aleks and there were NO QUICK RETAKES. Choose another professor.
Not a helpful professor. Didn't do much of anything except a zoom meeting every Wednesday where you could "ask any questions you wanted" but when you actually do ask a question she just tells you to read her notes lol.
This professor was one of the most difficult/disrespectful I have ever met. She will belittle you when you ask a simple question and God forbid you don't understand her minuscule hand writing. She has a strong accent and is very traditional. The students respected her from the beginning but she started to become very rude and would pick on us.
Very rude, hard to understand due to a very strong accent.
I see a lot of low scores, it is generally just difficult subject matter that people aren't willing to try hard to learn. I spent a long time studying, and listened every day in class. I got above a 95 on every test. Work hard and pay attention and you'll be fine. Very nice woman, found her incredibly fun to talk to.
i did not enjoy this class. our grades were based on the 3 exams and the final, plus 10% hw. Her handwriting is illegible and she is rude. She does not tell you how many questions there will be on a test. She assigns hw, but doesn't encourage it. she is a relatively fair grader. she provides practice exams, which are helpful. doesn't care if u fail
people who complain about her behavior are disbehaving in class. i was prepared for the worst but she was kind, funny, and helpful. i feel i understood math for the first time in her class. it was difficult but that is the subject matter, not the professor. as long as you follow simple rules (e.g., no phones) and arrive prepared, it'll go great.
Read the textbook or anything equivalent to properly understand the materials covered because even her notes have grammar and numerical errors, which make the entire example incomprehensible. If this is your first time taking the course, good luck because the best way to pass is to learn it yourself. Embrace self-learning and you'll be fine.
If you listen to any review about this professor PLEASE let it be this one.DON'T take her class.I'm a straight A student(high school and college)and just barely passed. She is very rude and extremely unhelpful when you're struggling.I studied over 5 hours for most of her tests and still couldn't get over a D or very low C. Trust me its not worth it
Absolutely awful class. She was not nice or helpful. I was quiet and attentive in class and she called me out in front of the whole class for not paying attention even though I was just sitting taking notes. I went to her office hours because I was confused and all
If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have gotten as far as I did in mathematics. I took her course multiple times, she is probably one of the best teachers I've ever had. If you are a sensitive person, she is a strong at times but she is seriously just a Grandma from South Indian. Ask questions and don't be afraid to get yelled at, she cares, good luck.
man.. i have heard from many people that statistics is the easiest, but for some reason all of us struggled in her class. Her attitude can sometimes be very rude and it”s hard to understand her most times. She gets mad and loud if you ask a question but proceeds to tell us to ask a question. You have to have patience in this class.
