I have never met an English teacher like her. She loves the topics and is very enthusiastic and energetic. This is a general ed course for me but now I want to major in English. She is so creative and funny. She does assign WAY too much work. But I am going to a four year college and I appreciate it.

This is my first semester at college. I was scared about the class, but I like the professor. She is very organized and I have already met with her for assistance and she is very helpful. She is very funny! She makes me forget I am taking a class! I love it (so far)!

I just completed my first visual rhetoric electronic portfolio I am so proud of my work. I think she's friendly, funny, and very helpful. Lots of work. But she's agreat teacher!

I think she's very professional. She has brought a higher standard of teaching (in my opinion) to the school. She teaches as is she was in a university. I like that! I hate the high school kids that get to take the class.

I did not buy the book for the course and mid semester I had to get it because she was assigning too much work. I thought she was helpful, I didn't need to talk to her much. She was easy to contact, but the work load was too much. I am still working on my research paper and I think it was just too much work specially for a general ed course.

I just started taking a visual rhetoric class with her. I love it! I didn't think English would be this way. I am actually looking forward to class. Her lectures are very easy to follow and she has a great sense of humor. I am having a positive experience so far.

I dropped the class today. I don't have a problem with the instructor, I have a problem with the HUGE amount of work! It's only a general class. I don't think the work load is reasonable. I have other stuff to do. I should have dropped sooner, save some stress.

I just got my grade. I worked hard in her class. I like the material. She taught literature/mythology course and it was really interesting! I enjoyed the work, but the deadlines were tight. She makes you work, sometimes I thought the work was overload! As a person she's cool. Just too many assignments and thinks we don't have any other courses.

I think there is a lot of work in the course (more than in other English courses I have heard my friends talk about). But she makes the class interesting. Just make sure you read your homework before you come to class!!! She's cool, but too much work. This is not my only class.

I have taken other engl teachers, and dropped because the classes are boring, outdated and tough. She is fresh,fun and relevant!

Too much work!I think the lectures are interesting but bottom line, it's a general education course, not graduate school! I have other things to do.She needs a hobby other than assigning so much work. I don't need to waste time on this much stuff when my REAL courses need my full attention.

I also had Dixil for the 9 day mini semester. She made English very enjoyable and was always helpful. She does like to talk but all of her stories are interesting. There was a bit of work but it wasn't too much to handle. Dixil is by far my favorite professor.

Took her American Lit course online and failed it. She has tooooo much work and has no due dates which meant I waited until the end to do anything. She seemed very helpful but it was just toooo much work.

I took her greek mythology class for english comp 2. She is very passionate about the subject. She will let you redo papers. She had a difficult class and either people loved or hated her. There were some very disrespectful students. If she knew you were trying she would be helpful. She could get an attitude. You did have for grades fairly long.

I took Professor Rodriguez's online Tech Writing. I am a HS Teacher working on an MA program. I had a wonderful experience! She returned all calls. I went by her campus once just to meet her. I always received feedback and did revisions. The comments here are sadly a display of the level of maturity lacking with TCC college students. Sad.

She will make sure you do good, always there to help. Hates for you to drop she wants you to succeed

Excellent teacher. Im a nurse and I needed to take technical writing. Instructor works with students and keeps the assignment topics open. That makes it simple to work on my nursing technical writing. My end of semester project is a document that my team leader at work is going to use in my job.I feel lucky to have been in this instructor's course.

Really great at what she does. She is so understanding and easy to work with. She cares that you understand how to write a paper correctly and doesn't sweat the little stuff like some english comp teachers do. I LOVED!!! her lectures. If you can write a decent paper and put forth heart and effort you will get an A.

Just completed her on-line class. Very dedicated instructor. I am a nurse and could not meet with her in the office due to schedule conflicts, she drove 30 miles to meet me at a Starbucks next to my job to go over drafts and talk. Highly recommend this professor. There is quite a bit of work in the class. The reading list is extensive and you really use the ENTIRE textbook. I have learned SO MUCH about literature (which I thought I hated!). Very approachable, very professional, dynamic, and absolutely hot (works well for an 8am class). Excellent professor.

This class is very challenging. However she does have rubrics and is always available during office hours. The class is tough! My fiance is at UTA and he saw the guidelines for the final research project and was impressed that she was teaching this at the 2yr level.Lectures are great. But you learn A LOT! Lose the teenage students who complain!

This is the toughest class I have taken this semester. I hated English. Research project kicked my butt. She is extremely approachable, talked me out of dropping the class and worked with me. This particular class really worked me! While, Professor Rodriguez seemed quite helpful and nice she sure did assign and expect a whole lot. Seriously, I definitely learned alot from her online technical writing class, BUT it seemed like there was never a break from quizzes, discussion boards, papers, major projects, and so on! Online course is flexible with my schedule. Instructor is available to meet at the office and very friendly and helpful. Totally understands the demands of online students and full time jobs and works with you. I recommend her online courses. They are tough but you have plenty of flexibility and you can revise. I started technical writing with great worry that I would fail. Writing is just not my thing and yet I need this course for my degree plan. Professor Rodriguez was always available to meet with me. She let us revise our projects. She was very encouraging. My final project is actually one I can use for college entrance. Quality professor. Take her.

Best teacher. Gives all her time to students, works with you, and lets you revise essays. Love the lectures, she is hilarious. The work is tough but she works with you. Took Technical Writing online. She gave us all the assignments on day one to be due on last day of class. Some assignments took a little while to complete, but she was such an awesome grader and I made an easy A. Had some trouble getting a few email responses, but I got an A and that's all I care about.

I loved this professor! I wish I could have taken her for both ENGL 1301 and 1302. I passed this class with a freaking 100!!!! If you simply sit in the front of her class, participate, and make sure she knows your face and name you will pass! She can grade difficult at times but if she sees that you are diligent and hardworking! She will pass you!
