one of the worst teachers at cerritos...his exact words " you're not in calculus, you're in the military " try to avoid !
This teacher is terrible! Thick russian accent, insensitive to students needs, and simply does not know how to thoroughly explain mathemetics. Avoid this teacher, you'll need to teach yourself in this class!!!!!
Funny teacher.. scars away the students who dont want to try. Its a hard class and students dont understand so they want to blame it on the teacher. All I know is that he speaks loud and knows his stuff. Sensetivity who cares.. people complain to much..
Very difficult to understand, very unclear . DO NOT TAKE THIS MATH TEACHER.
Mr Budarin is an extremely smart man, an excellent teacher--he really wants you to learn and to love math as much as he does. He is the kind of teacher that gives you tough love,--he is hard, but only because he loves math and does want you to be dumb and ignorant. He rewards overall effort on your final grade.
He is one of greatest teachers in Cerritos College. He is not the one who tries to eliminate students. He is actually tries to give you grades as much he can. He never ignore students' hard works and processess. However, he gives rewards to students who work hard, not lazy students.

I have him right now and he seems easy. Not much homework. Lets you ask questions. But his accent is terrible and REALLY hard to understand. I didn't have a choice. He was the only teacher open at the time. :(
He is pretty intimidating especially because he has a deep Russian accent and he is firm, but I liked his class and if my schedule would have permited me, I would have taken him for 80 and now for 114.
if you ask him a question he helps as best he can, but that accent is horrible! its SOO hard to understand sometimes, you really have to pay attention to understand whats going on in class
EXPLAINS MATERIAL CLEARLY
Cool rusian accent, sort of intimidating. Test is sort of hard but does a good job explaining. Does not allow calculator on test/quizes sometimes coz of graphing.
He is unreasonable and likes to call his students stupid IF most of the class does not understand his teaching methods.
he is hard, plays favorites, and has a horrible accent that is impossible to understanding..when asking questions he will make a rude comment!! tests are hard DO NOT TAKE HIME!!
Great Teacher!!! You will learn many cool tricks to make your life easier on hard math problems.
I LOVE Mr. Budarin!! He is a great teacher!! He explains everything clearly, you wont understand if you're not paying attention obviously. His accent is not bad, I undertand him perfectly, people just like to comlain. I'm taking him next semester as well. Very smart man!!!!
Overall a great professor.
He is a good teacher if you apply yourself. He shows neat tricks which make it eaiser. He tries to be funny and sometimes is. I would difinatly recomend him. He the type of guy who thinks he is SO smart (well he is) and is attidude shows it it's hilarious. =)
He is very rude...when you ask questions he makes you feel stupid...Test are very hard
worst teacher i ever took kept on talking about how hes not a teacher hes a mathmatician hes hard to understand and does not like to help students at all, gets mad if you ask a question in which he think is easy DONT TAKE HIM
This guy made me not like math. I guess he did his job; show up and lecture. He also did not show much interest in students success.
Expects alot from students, seems like he does the best he can to give the hardest exams so that students could do there worse, and then when majority is doing bad, he teases about it and suggest they drop the class. Hard to talk to and very intimidating
"PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOU TIME "1) thick russian accent 2) do not care about student progress at all 3) make you feel stupid when you ask a question he doe not what to answer 3)he keep telling student to drop the class he expection for you to find the solution to the problem 4)i think you need a teacher that care for students not for his paycheck.
He is such an arrogant instructor because when you ask him a question, he makes you stupid that you don't know any thing. I'm a math major, however, I have to drop his class. Don't take his class.
I took precalc before taking his college algebra class and I figured it was gonna be a breeze...boy was I wrong. for some reason I wasn't getting it, and neither was the class: C- average I think. I'll admit that he's really smart, but not helpful at all.
Best math professor so far.. He explains everything clearly, his accent isn't that bad. The tests and quizzes are super easy, if u do your hw of course even though you never turn it in. Rewards students who try hard. Will recommend if you want to learn =]
Hes a pretty cool teacher, if u take him in the morning and he first day u happen to walk in while hes taking role, prepare for a surprise in the tone of his voice! however you get you to it and he talks a little faster while hes teacher and his accent isnt that bad. hes a pretty funny guy too, and when he gets off topic, its pretty interesting...
likes to tell students if they don't know the material, "Go commite sucide." so unprofessional and rude.
Do Not take this teacher, it is a waste of time. His accent is thick and hard to underdstand. gives homework that doesn't pertain to the test. tells you to study the homework but the test are much harder, so you are not prepared. sets you up for failure, then when you ask for help he makes you feel dumb. do yourself a favor don't waste you time.
careless speaks horrible english and take math to seriously... but have a good sense of humor!!!!!!!!!!! he alwas say tezzzzk buuksz.... and he write his nine as a g
he is cool, take him, you do not need do your homework.
1) Very insensitive 2) Rude 3) Does not help at all 4) Arrogant 5) Makes students feel stupid 6) Really needs to learn not to argue with students 7) Gets off topic *) I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Is an excellent professor. I seen other comments, and they are ignorant! the american life style is not used to supirior Russian teaching skills. If youd listen to what he says you wot have a problem!!!!
if you are planning to take math with this professor i do not recommend him at all. If you are good at word problems you will make it if not prepare to get a fail. He expects h.w.every day but does not collect it at all. His tests are hard and are totally different from the book.He goes beyond topic and the students expectations of the class.
He doesn't allow a graphing calculator for any of his exams, he doesn't curve the grades, he grades really hard, the class average is a "D" and the exams are worth 75% of the total grade. He expects students to be devoted to math, and little to-no extra credit is given. He requires students calculate formulas and diagram graphs mentally.
Hard to understand
Mr. Budarin is a very good mathematician, but a very bad teacher, he does not know how to teach. He does not give any extra credit and does not have a test and homework schedule. He lets you know a day in advance for your test.
He is very detailed, explains everything, reviews everything. gives very intense exams, unanounced. no-make up homework, any extra credit is earned with extreme difficulty. he expects every student to know the material, do the homework and be quick on all exams. he is funny, and enjoys an audience. i appreciated his additional tutoring in the lab
I am not a fan of math and with this professor i simply dropped. He makes you feel dumb when you ask questions! his accent is hard to understand he is devoted to the subject but doesnt teach he solves them but doesnt teach u 2 solve them. he expects you to know the subject good!he pops up with test leaves alot of homework ! if u like math take him.
the class is chellenging and he has an accent but he's still a good teacher. he'S sarcastic funny too!
Very Funny guy. He should also be a professor in the Theatre department for comedy. Very good Mathematician, and really good teacher. Has a accent, but understandable if you English, if you can't understand english, don't take his class. I didn't did good in his class because i lagged it but i recommand him if your good in math. I learn a lot.
listen to me people. IF you take school seriously, then there is not much wrong with Mr. B at all. the ONLY downside is that he does make you feel a little dumb if you ask a question out loud.... so i just kept quiet but if you ask him on your own time he is helpful. theres a lot of homework but he only checks it twice through the entire semester.
It was boring and confusing. It should be an easy class but he makes it hard. He's VERY precise w/ the work. You can't do a problem your way because its "illegal".Even if you got the problem right, he'll mark pts.Never checks hw(did it only twice between Aug-Nov)and its random. Makes you feel dumb when you ask questions. Two words: Borat accent. dont
I dropped his class in nov. and took the assessment test and got placed in math 140. Its better to do that. He can make you feel stupid and what not. Doesn't email you if he's not coming to class. Makes you feel stupid. I do NOT recommend anyone to take him. I'm the same person from the one below...V
Not for lazy students.Be willing to work hard, he will reward your effort. Explains material throughly, good saracastic sense of humor, Russian accent makes life intersting.
All around good professor for math. I missed three out of five tests and he was willing, EVERYTIME, to let me take it at another time. He's very thorough in his lectures and REALLY nitpicks in all of the tests and quizes. If you're lazy, dont take any of his classes. Or any math classes in general.
Explains everything clearly.hes sarcastic. His tests are somewhat hard if you don't study well. His final is a bit difficult so review all your notes. If you ask a question he can be rude dont take it personal.checks hwk couple times especially if none of the class never asks questions dealing with hwk.he is a good teacher just do the work.
Teacher is very intimidating when you ask a question he belittles you, makes you feel dumb. Gives homework but does not grade it, test are more difficult than the problems he goes over, the questions on the tests look nothing like the problems he explained. Not helpfull and is very mean I wouldnt recomend.
He is EXTREMELY rude and belittles you if you don't understand what he's teaching. His grading system is ridiculous, he takes off extra points if he thinks youre being arrogant. DO NOT take this class unless you know his math like the back of your hand!
Excellent professor! Lectures clearly & efficiently. Some may fnd him abrasive, but he's not as intimidating as his demeanor suggests. Razor-sharp wit & humor. He will not insult your intelligence by giving you easy work. Enjoyable class, but you must do all the homework, take organized notes, & study consistently. Soviet power!
I really enjoyed being challenged early in the morning. I like his teaching environment, he lectures and then has time in class to practice what he is teaching. His teaching is effective: he knows mathematics very well and teaches students discipline concerning math and the practice of math.
He may come off as intimidating and mean but he's just a "no nonsense" type of person.Although if you really need help, he is approachable-if, you ask seeking direction. this teacher truly cares and tries to make his students understand the material-he explains things in great detail, often better than the text. WORK HARD,STUDY HARD is my advice.
Such a great professor and very dedicated and knowledgeble to his field, except he has a strong accent which requires some time to fathom what he really is saying.... overall his class is challenging and assigns a marginal amount of hw on daily basis, but i guarantee that he will learn a lot of stuff from this guy that are associated with math
Changes steps in book.
i took his college algebra class. many say he sounds condescending and puts students down for not understanding material. i personally liked him as a teacher. he is HIGHLY intelligent and even though he has a heavy russian accent, its funny as hell. he tells interesting stories and jokes about integrating mother russia. u need to work hard
He is the best math teacher I have ever had but unfortunetly also the hardest grader I have ever had. He does give you plenty of time for tests which is nice.
EXTREMELY intelligent professor, he explains things with great detail. a lot of people say he's mean and belittles students but he doest; he just gets irritated with academically/intellectually lazy students. You definitely earn your grade in his class. STUDY HARD,go to tutoring and dont slack!
Tried to reach him during his office hours and I missed him so I left him a note letting him know I was on campus and would come back if he called. He yelled at me for that and everytime after that he was rude when I came to get help. Very intelligent but VERY rude. Glad I got my B and got of Russian Hell!!
NICE!
hes a very hard teacher his teaching is helpful but you need to do all the hw because thats going to help you a lot it was very hard to pass the class there was around 30 students and at the end there was only 10 students left and out of those not all of them pass i got a B but it was very hard to earn that grade
He is a really hard teacher. I worked my ass off throughout the whole semester and studied and put the class first than any of the other classes I had and I ended up with a D. I dont like the fact that it's pre-algebra but still makes you do geometry. He's a cool guy but I had trouble understanding him.
Feels no need to inspire or motivate. Would make Jaime Escalante roll over in his grave! Wasted lots of time ranting about "your miserable K-12 system" and "stupid American customs". Makes you wonder why he's teaching @ Cerritos...must be waiting for his call from MIT.
Knows everything about math and nothing about teaching.
Professor Budarin is very intelligent he knows his math! Yes he is difficult, but you have to work hard. He might be intimidating but he's very helpful.Overall he's the best math professor ive had. I highly recommend his class if you're determined, hard working, and like math... and even if you dont just study and do your homework!!!!!!!
Great teacher if you are willing to work hard. All the whiners are people who didn't do homework. He is very clear with his lectures. If you do all the homework you will be prepared for the test. If you ask a lot of questions you might have it a little rough with him.
I love this Professor! He is the Kobe Bryant of mathematics! He Knows math. He's funny and he gives very helpful tips. His accent and personality might be a little intimidating but he's a good professor. His grading scale is 25% final, Exams 65%, and homework/quizzes 10%.
I recommend him.. He's super funny! He teaches cool math tricks which make math easier.. You should really pay attention in class if you want to be successful.. Do all the assigned homework even though he does not check it,, but it really helps out because you will preform better on the exams and quizzes!!! And they are not that hard it mostly comes out the book!!!! He does help out students,, unless your ignorant,, he will make you feel stupid!!! But put all your effort and he's super chill!!!
he is very nice and very smart teacher.he knows everything abt maths.i recommended him 100%.
Gives homework does not check it , Does not permit calculators , Not clear in explaining , seems kinda upset when u ask him to explain so not very helpful.
The best! He gives homework that he doesn't check but its to benefit you. Always very helpful and willing to answer any questions. Very funny and interesting. Plus he has interesting stories form his motherland of Russia! Take him and pay attention it will pay off!
Awesome teacher explains thing clearly. has very dry sense od humor i enjoy. if you don't try you won't pass.
Only good point is he knows math. You will be subjected to long rants about the American education system (as opposed to you know, the Soviet Union!), humiliation if you ask a question ("that's basic math from some earlier course"), ridiculous grading if you don't do it EXACTLY his way, and a massive ego that knows better than everyone else.
Humor is awesome. Be prepared to learn about "equal human rights of functions." His rants and commentary makes the class worth attending. Be prepared to challenge your knowledge in mathematics. **study trig prior to taking the course!**
Dimitri Budarin is an amazing professor. I would definitely recommend him! I am not the best at math but being in his class I felt that I've learned a lot. You do need to do the homework in order to pass the class. Not that he will give you credit for it but it helps you understand the material you are required to learn in class.
Horrible teacher, doesnt explain well, useless at helping, he is the worst teacher ihave ever taken!. DO NOT TAKE!.
Doesn't check homework, isn't clear on anything he teaches, makes you feel stupid, exams are stuff you haven't been taught in class , skips around making it hard to understand anything you learn in class. Not worth taking.
I loved this professor, I took 2 math classes with him got an A and B, only got B because I dind't do all my homework , if you do all your homework you'll pass the class, even though he does not check homework. He's funny and if you are willing to learn he will make you understand algebra.
HE'S THE BEST TEACHER! HE ALWAYS ANSWERS QUESTIONS KINDLY. HIS EXPLANATION IS REALLY HELPFUL AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND. I WOULD LIKE TO TKAE HIS CLASS NEXT SEMESTER TOO.
horrible teacher.. wasnt clear, didnt go over material. I took this class in high school, got an A. Then I got all A's on his tests and he gave me a B in the class.
Awesome professor. If you come in with a sense of entitlement or looking to be spoon-fed answers you'll have a tough time. He'll call it like it is and really make you earn your grade. Don't ask stupid questions because he will embarrass you in front of everyone (rightfully so). Great Math teacher, who teaches "superior foreign methods".
His standards and grading are very clear along with his teaching style, but forbid you ask for help in class. He singles you out and makes you feel like an idiot. Doesn't check homework but it is essential to do in order to pass his class.
This class was very difficult for me. He is rude sometimes and if students asked for helped he would sometimes make fun of them because they would get the answer wrong. His exams are crucial to your grade, and he is an extremely hard grader. At the end of the semester there was only like 6 of us left in the class.
Professor Budarin is a very tough grader who gives very tough tests. He does not like students to be late as he covers a lot during lectures. His tests are a reflection of the homework, therefore he does not check it. He's always on time & never absent. I do not recommend him if you are someone who struggles with math.
Do not take him please. Do not waste your money on a class that will not benefit you. I dropped the class he is just a bad teacher. Please do no take him.
Don't his accent makes it hard to understand what he says
Simply show up and pay attention to the lecture then go home and complete the homework. Do this and that A is yours. You will only find difficulty in the class if you stray away from this. Paying attention shouldn't be a chore as he is hilarious as long as you can detect sarcasm. He was helpful at the end as he pushed me out of a B+ and into an A.
He is a great teacher, if you expect to pass his class you'll need the textbook. Homework is a must to pass his class, he doesn't check but it helps a lot in the long run. He goes through the material throughly and always is open to math related questions.
I'm WARNING you! Do NOT take this professor. If you have a slightly hard time at learning math. Do NOT take. Only gives tests. I've had nightmares about him. He teaches and expects you to know everything. If you ask a question he responds "FAIL!" as an answer. I ALMOST had a C, by 2 points! Made me hate math even more! Seems life he hates his job.
Extremely SMART & the BEST professor. Had him for 2 semesters and NOW I can say I've learned some real mathematics . If your major requires high levels of math and you are planning in REALLY learning, this class is for you. On the other hand if you are NOT responsible and have the mentality that "C" gets you degrees then this class is not for you.
This professor had a lot of arrogance to teach. didn't feel very welcomed or inspired to learn the material. many students couldn't keep up and was really hard to understand. just study study study i could've prob barley passed this class with a C if i would have studied and got tutoring. but at you're own risk class was tough.
If you have trouble doing math or even learning it! This professor is not for you. The class started out really full and only 13 of us where left in the end. He gives lots of test and homework but he never check the homework even once. Notes are problems from the book and he goes quite fast in lecture.
He is not a math sandbox style.
Very hard! He does not collect the homework but you should do it! it helps!! My class went from a full class to less than 10 people! His math skills are like no other but grade is based on 7 tests only.
His class can start with 30+ students but will dwindle to 10 students by the end of the semester. If you are bad at math. Don't take his class, everyone fails regardless of what math level. You'll only end up wasting your time and money only to retake that math class again the following semester. I highly suggest looking for someone else.
Was in his class this past semester and it was tough. If your math skills aren't the best, please pick another professor. He doesn't make learning fun. He has his own way of teaching that can be very confusing. Not very supportive when you ask a question. He doesn't offer help, will tell you to see a tutor at success center. Stay away.
This professor is not mean he has a good sense of humor but he is very difficult to pass. The grade is based solely on tests. He does not check hw or give credit for it.
I took Prof. Budarin for Math 60 and then Math 80. Your grade is based on the tests you take. As long as you put effort into coming to class, doing homework, and listening in class it's a breeze. Great teacher!
Would not recommend if you're bad at math. I'm awful at math and his class did not help at all. He over-complicates so much material. I was confused the entire and he rarely provides help that is actually useful. Does not care if you fail and is not motivational. Do not waste your time taking his class.
He doesnt care how you do in his class and is extremely hard to pay attention to, his class practically killed my whole semester. Don't take him if you aren't good at math, he'll make you want to drop out, like me.
i strongly advise anyone who is bad at math to not take this class. he is not willing to explain and does the bare minimum. i asked for help a couple times and i felt discouraged bc he was so condescending about it. the class relies heavily on tests as well pls stay away!!
he is very confusing. Is too fast with the lecture. he makes things harder than needed and doesn't explain well either. WILL NEVER TAKE HIS CLASS AGAIN!!!
I am not too good at math, and the style of teaching was quite boring, low voice and low energy with some dry sarcasm which helped a bit to lighten the mood. Started with full class, left with maybe 11 students left. He teaches extra stuff which makes things confusing especially for tests. If you aren't too good at math, different professor.
This professor give butt loads of homework, but doesn't even grade it. I mean the points I could get from homework could have helped boosted up my grade . He only grades test. That's it. I am a bad tester, so there you go.
Take him if u already have a good understanding of math. I dont know math at all so it was hard to keep up& I didnt pass. Grades are mostly based on exams. He assigns homework but checks it randomly. He finds time to go over HW that was confusing so that was helpful oh& makes jokes some might find upsetting so dont take him if ur easily offended
took him and I had a hard time understanding him which made everything more difficult, ended up dropping it and taking another teacher and got an A
Dont take him!! Youll regret it! Its a lot of homework online and the test is very hard!
Dont take him, he is hard and gives a lot of homework online!
This professor doesn't teach anything that is on the tests and tests are about 80% of your grade. You literally have to teach yourself if you want to pass. He makes shaming comments about his views on the educational system and his students.
The ONLY good thing about this professor is that he gives you the Math 60 textbook for free in .pdf format. other than that, he is angry, judgmental, yells at students who are actually participating, and goes on rants in the middle of class about politicians. He is no help at all. I had to drop his class, and will be trying next with Prof. Gonzalez
I was good at math until I had this professor. He knows what hes doing but clearly doesnt know how to teach very well. Dont recommend
Took his class during the COVID-19 outbreak, did not understand that during this hard time, a lot of people were struggling. I was forced to work to maintain myself, but didn't cut me any slack. Assigns you tons of homework. Does not cut you any slack, also very judgmental and rude during his lectures. Do not recommend taking him at all.
I took this Summer 2020 online during COVID I could not understand him at all. I withdrew just so I wouldnt get a poor grade. Ill retake this with another instructor.
This professor makes you feel stupid for asking questions during lecture, hes very hard to understand and isnt really helpful. Most questions werent ever answered.
Was the rudest professor ive had. He compared me to another student because i asked for more time on a quiz. You need to study 24/7 and dont ask for help because he wont give it to you. Hes doesnt care about you or your progress in the class. Please dont take him!!!!
Don't waste your time taking this class. Gives an unreasonable amount of homework. Just wait to take it with anyone else it is not worth it. He will not admit when he makes mistakes and is absolutely rude and condescending. Had to drop the class because he would ignore my emails for weeks. He is not there to support his students even during covid.
This professor is NOT there for his students, the most absent professor I had in my 4 years at Cerritos College. He will ignore your emails, will literally never respond. There is always glitches on tests which results in losing time for test taking whenever it does decide to work. Not enough time. Very condescending. Do not take him.
DO NOT take math with this Professor. Took him for a 9 week course but dropped the class on the second day. Gives tons of work and is very hard to understand or learn anything. He uses an extension called proctorio for quizzes/tests and it is the worst thing ever. You can’t even ask for help because he’ll make fun of you.
Hated math because of him. Don't take him he is very very test heavy and tests would always glitch it was ridiculous.
Gives homework at random times. Disorganized. He makes you record yourself when taking Tests and many of them glitches and kicks you out and it has to have a password input itself by him and Pearson and sometimes it doesnt work
Professor wasn't helpful. Unorganized and very condescending. Not the right attitude for teaching the "most difficult subject" in school. If I wasn't taking his class to learn I would kinda like him.
Terrible at teaching I was out of school for 3 years and came back to school i enrolled in this class as a refresher and he does not help during class he will do 3 problems the whole period. He will go off on a tangent about the government or politics. He does not like you unless you sit in the front of his class and kiss up to him.
There was an instance where he changed the date for work sooner than it was originally and he did it in a very condescending way. He mostly uses websites instead of teaching how to actually use the material and it's up to you to figure it out. He overall makes you feel dumb when you ask questions which made no one in the class want to ask questions
Professor Budarin made me finally enjoy mathematics . Although his sense of humor is not for everyone , it definitely helped the lectures go by quicker . As long as you pay attention and take notes on what web programs to use, you will pass .
I do not recommend this professor at all
I do not recommend this professor. Gives you tons of homework but he barely explaind the assigments and the topics. When it comes to exams he expects you to answer the question exactly what he says and expects you to do it, otherwise he takes away points. Overall not a good experience.
Awful professor. You can't even ask him question because he will be sarcastic and make you feel dumb for not understanding. He doesnt allow extra credit. He barely explains the topics and only focus on homework problems. Its almost impossible to get an A in his class.
I don't recommend it if it's difficult to understand math, he's loaded with homework and won't budge to make it a tad bit easier. I mean we had an in-person exam, a quiz online, and a homework assignment due the same day. How can a person manage that, and study for his and other classes? If you want a challenge, then try it out.
He doesn't even know what hes teaching. He always pushed going to office hours but when I did he basically told me to look up the answer using AI. Does not offer any sort of notes or lectures, just throws you the homework and expects you to comprehend. Does not budge at all and can put a lot of work due on the same day. Avoid the hassle with him.
Took him for an online class, and he was absolutely no help. I read the syllabus multiple times, looked over the announcements and modules and when I asked him how to access Proctorio after telling him I looked over the syllabus, he told me "read the syllabus." I dropped the class right after that. Sometimes it isn't the subject, it's the teacher.
I wouldn't retake his class if my life depended on it. His response to everything is officer hours or "it just is" when you ask him a question. All he talks about is "Joseph Biden" and you better not be late to his class because he disturbs the whole lecture to give a speech on being on time and not to worry."Fafsa check will be on time no worry".
Worst professor I have ever had. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS.
horrible professor. lots of homework.
Horrible professor! DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! He doesn't even teach and spends most of his time talking about non-important stuff that has nothing to do with lectures. He also expects us to do all homework assignments without him making an effort into trying to make his students understand certain concepts.
Please do yourself a favor and skip out on this instructor. This professor has very strict rules and relies a lot on online tools for quizzes and tests. Instead of teaching directly, they use programs like Proctorio and a math website. I felt like I wasn't really learning anything, so I decided to drop the class.
don't take this class
This was the most frustrating professor I have ever had to deal with. So much homework, so many tests, so many requirements for an online test. Disliked!
tough very
Yes, this is a very difficult class. The lectures were sometimes difficult to understand. I just did all the homework, quiz, and test and was successful. I did a lot of online tutoring. The professor was quick to answer all of my questions. I will not be taking another of his classes if I can help it. I know that I will be able to pass if I do.
Do not take this professor. He always was very bland when teaching the class. He makes you use a crappy system called proctorio which never works and when you ask him questions he stares at you as if he thinks you are dumb. He never even shared good lecture videos. I barely passed with a C grade and I am honestly happy to get a C.
There's romance in their rigor. They speak of primes as ancient storytellers, of π as an endless love letter to the universe, and calculus as the art of touching infinity without flinching. Their passion is not fiery but lunar – a glow that illuminates without burning, patient as the spiral of a nautilus shell.
Never again no thank you.
While lectures are long, he makes sure you understand it. He will answer all your questions if you are confused and very understanding in my experience. While it could sound like he is annoyed he really isn't. All he expects is you to pay attention and do what is needed. While tuff he is a lovely professor would take him again if I had another math
I wouldn't retake his class if my life depended on it. His response to everything is officer hours or "it just is" when you ask him a question. All he talks about is "Joseph Biden" and you better not be late to his class because he disturbs the whole lecture to give a speech on being on time and not to worry."Fafsa check will be on time no worry
Took him for stats last summer. Clear grading criteria, course is not hard to be fair and he does go over on the material clearly. However, a 3 was given because he shows no mercy to online assignments. I had bad internet connection for a week which caused me to miss 2 quizzes and dropped my grade to a B when I could have an A if it wasn't for this
I took the summer online course so maybe it was different, but it was easy. I only went to office hours once and it was not pleasant, but the class itself is managable. In the 6 week course, it was 1-3 hours daily(varied A LOT) but if you understand how to use stat crunch and learn through the homework it will be an easy A
I took a statistics class prior to this class, (retaking it for a refresher) and as someone who knows the first few concepts by heart, I feel so bad for the students who are new to the concept. He could be explaining chapter 5 in class while your homework for chapter 2 is due week 2... Dropped since I was expected to pay for a $60 application.
