Fun class!!! Everyone at SWT or Tx St should take Doc. By the 3rd time you've had one of his classes, his stories become a bit redundit. Hopefully he's still not teaching Tx. Geography if he still hasn't been to Big Bend.......

Doc is a great prof. I am about to graduate from law school and he still trumps all of the professors I've ever had in my life. He is passionate about his material, and he is never boring. I wish my professors in law school were half as interesting.

great teacher- i recomend the class. funny stories although he repeats them a lot. i feel sorry for the tech guy in the teaching theater.

Doc Augustine is the best proffesor I have ever had. His class is very laid back and he jokes around with the class. He is not a uptight mean teacher. If you have the oportunity to get him, I would advise getting him.

Wonderfull professor!!!! He gives you everything you need to do well on the test. You just have to study the notes

Doc is so great. His class is entertaining & often turns into a travel guide. I recommend that everyone take at least one of his classes. They are very easy & straightfoward, although they tend to repeat themselves, but it helps you the second time.

Very straightforward, no fluff. If you goto class, listen, it should not be a problem. Everyone will enjoy his style, makes you want to travel as much as he did.

Couldn't find a better professor. Humorous and knowledgeable. Easy tests, just memorize the maps and facts. Take your hat off in class and don't talk to people too much - otherwise, awesome.

An AWESOME professor. It'd really be a shame to miss out on having him. He will not bore you in class, he's extremely intertaining. Take him while you can, he will be retiring soon. I have 18 credit hours with him, trust me you'll have no regrets!

AWESOME PROF, his class is always full, very interesting guy just to listen to, much of his lecture doenst have much to do with test but he'll keep you awake and entertained, I would take all of his classes if i had the money and the time, lectured once about how**** isn't a bad word...

Funny guy. Loved his class, plus he gives bonus points if you never miss. If you absolutely hate geography, you need to take him. He will make it interesting (and easy.)

By far the best teacher at this university! His lectures are very interesting, he is very funny, and you learn things. You'll love this class. Tests are MC. This class is fun, an Easy 'A', and you will actually learn some things. Take him.

Doc is the best professor in this school, he loves nothing more than to see students suceed. He is hilarious in class, and its a joy to attend, because of the type of person he is. If you don't take this class you are an IDIOT, and also treat him with respect and you will get the same in return.

Doc is the best professors on campus, hands down. Take him, take him, take him, I can't say that enough. By the end of the semester, you'll know everyone country in the world, and be happy that you do.

Doc rulz! It's been a few years since I was there...but I'll never forget Doc. He is what makes the Geography dept. at SWT cool. And yes...I will only call it SWT because that other name sucks ass.

Easiest class I've ever taken. If you pay attention, take good notes, and do the work he asks you, you'll definitely get a B. Extra studying=A. But don't wear hats or nod off .. he'll call you out.

Extremely informative and interesting class and he is open to comments and even corrections. It is great to see the people who struggle in the class because they have no common knowledge of the world around them.

Probably the most bad ass teacher at TxState.

i love doc augustin on a personal level. on a student-teacher level, i think he could have done more to encourage independent thought. he did a little too much multiple choice and memorization for my taste.

Well, I just started in august but i can already tell that he is one of the coolest professors at TSUSM. He says whatever he wants, teaches you what you need to know and makes it interesting. i would recommend everyone take him if they need world geography. he's great.

Doc is a great teacher. I took the class because I had to but I actually ended up really enjoying it. If you have the opportunity you should take his class.

Doc is an excellent and very interesting teacher. I recommend him to every student who needs to take a geography test. Test are simple if you do the handouts and look over your notes.

I took Doc's class my freshman year & had a blast!!! He has been the best professor that I've had so far here at Texas State!!!

One of the best professors, for sure in my top 3. I took 3 courses with Doc Augustine, and left with tons of knowledge from each course. He is NOT easy. You'll have to go to class, and study for exams... but it's worth it.

I just hope that I can be worthy to accompany Doc on his last trip to the Yucatan with a group of students. He is awesome.

I loved this class. Doc is a great teacher and his class is really interesting. It is not hard to make an A if you study your notes and the papers he gives you.

THE BEST professor I have had so far, easily!!! Take his class even if you don't have to...just for an elective! You'll LOVE it as long as you sit in the front part of the class and participate in discussion.

What a great teacher! I took his class two years ago and I still think about some of the things that he spoke about in lecture. If you want to learn about the world geographically and culturally take DOC!

Doc's great. He's hilarious and keeps the class interesting. He's traveled around the world and really knows what he's talking about. He shows slideshows of picturess he took during his travels that give good insight to what he's discussing. Read the book and study the questions he gives you and your maps. It'll make tests a breeze.

i absolutely looooooved this class!! he is a nice and funny guy that has a lot of experience in what he does...he even has proof that he went to those places! augustin is a great professor! Before i took the class i wasnt sure what i wanted my minor to be! Just by being in his class made me want to become a geography minor!! great teacher!

Great teacher!! class is never boring, but never b late and never leave early! Take notes EVERY DAY cause they are on the test!! Dont smart off cause he can beat you at it, lol, tests are easy if you study at least 2 days in advance!

he was my 1st college class and i loved him. all tests come from lectures, which are very fun and interesting. reallly easy reading assignment- only 1 per test. very direct. super funny and entertaining. allows 5 absences. the si really helped, too.

Awesome Professor!! You have no choice but to take him! Do it. Very Interesting lectures, you will never be bored. I had no care in the world for geo. and after his class i wanted to change my major to geography!!

Really good teacher...Definitely my favorite class I have ever taken and probably will ever take. He is the coolest/funniest teacher I have ever had.

Doc is one of my favorite teachers. He keeps classes interesting by telling stories of where he's been. It really helps the class relate to the material that is being discussed. Tests are not hard as long as you put in the effort to go to class and study.

He's just an awesom person. Very funny!!!

He is really cool! His lectures are very interesting and you learn alot. You must go to every class though to recieve an A. If you go, then no prob. EASY A!! Tests arent hard at all. A lot of writing and lectures.

Doc Aug is hands down the greatest professor at Texas State. Having visited over 60 countries he provides his students with first hand immersion accounts from every corner of the world. From the snow-capped peaks of the Andes to inside a mosque in Saudi Arabia, the globe will become as familiar as your own backyard.

The legend of this man is completely true.He is a magnificient teacher, whom his stories alone, should be enough for ANYONE to take this class.Warning: he is a stickler on attndence,hats,and sleeping. It's almost impossible to not make an A in this class if you just put forth a little effort. TAKE HIM BEFORE HE (finally) RETIRES!

He is amazing. I am taking him for a difficult subject and I didn't do well on his first test and after that he would help make sure my notes were complete. He really wants you to do good. His classes are very interesting and he is a really funny guy.

LOVED HIM & HIS CLASS! So sad it was his last semester! Texas State will definitely be losing one of its BEST professors! :[ Class was so much fun & he always kept it funny & interesting! Would take this class again if he would still be teaching it! Study & it's an easy A :]

North Africa- Awesome class.. He tells really cool stories, but focuses on that mainly rather than learning. There was really no organization to the class, but it was very very interesting. He is kind of an ass at times though.

This was byfar the best class i have ever had. Doc is an amazing professor. I would have never missed a class.
