Great instructor. Very helpful and you can tell she really wants her students to understand the material. Sometimes she talks way too fast. Lots of homework. Quizzes and homework collected every week.
She is an interesting and excellent instructor. She will assign many homeworks but it will really help you get thru the class with A. She's incredibly patient and she always tries to find a way that any student can understand. I recommend her.
she's very nice and young. she'll help anyone who asks. she'll work out of class just to get you to understand. but there's a lot of HW and quizzes.. but hey, it's math. what do you expect? i got a C.. but that's because i missed half her class.
I like her, she moves at a good pace. Not too fast, not too slow. She makes sure everyone understands before she moves on.
shes my favorite math teacher, office hrs are so much help. shes funny and fun to talk to too! cute personality. shes one of the best for higher calculus, in terms of not being too meticulous. lotsa hw wit even problems. quiz or test every week.
She is really nice. She teaches you "why" everything happens so u cant forget it in the future. She actually allows notecards for all test and quizzes, which makes the class very easy. Her test and quizzes are as easy as the homework. Homework= e
As i was saying before the computer space limitations cut me off...homework = easy points. Take her
Felt that b/c her knowledge in math is so great, it affects 49B. She'd teach us one thing n' put extra cred type questions on exams. Ppl don't feel motivated b/c we get confused. Better than Wuesi-P. True False questions mess up our test scores... -_-

This woman really cares that everyone understands the concepts, and will gladly explain things more than once. Not an easy A necessarily, but worth it to take her if you want to actually learn something.
Great teacher, very nice. Do your homework (nice easy points), know your stuff and you will do well on the quizzes/tests. Only thing I didn't like was the true/false questions on the test which chipped off points and the final was harder than expected.
Excellent instructor. Lectures are clear and well organized. Very helpful during office hours. Gives understandable answers to in-class questions. For the benefit of male students, she is an execptionally attractive young woman.
She is the best instructor in the math department! Very clear lectures, and regular quizzes keep you up to date. Extra credit offered too! Notecards allowed on quizzes, exams, and even the final! Good e-mail communication and availability too. A+
I had a great time in her class. She taught at a good pace and was very clear in her lectures. She assigns a lot of homework but that's just one of the ways in which you get to understand the methods and formulas used. She encourages her students. A++++++
Very good instructor. She is very helpful in class and during the office hour. Curves the overall grade at the end of the quarter.
helpful as everyone says, but do not take her for math 11. she follows the book too closely, offers no easier way to do it. other teachers show how to do everthing on the calc but she lies and says it can not be done but it can be done on a calc.
very clear and helpful
She's willing to help the best she can, but u could hardly understand what she's talking in class. Very unclear and very confusing. Sometimes she even don't know what she's talking about. But...I believe she's better than Garrison and Sekhon
She always says "I am not sure" explains not clearly and tonnes of homework, take home midterm is so hard that u cannot finish by urself. easy to pass, but quite difficult to get A, becoz it's 1D
Very helpful, not hard to understand partly coz' its math 11. easy midterms and quizzes. Can bring notes to exams. the project is very difficult tho
unless you are taking this class everyday do not take this teaher. She teaches at the speed of light and it is hard to keep up.
She's not as easy as everyone says she is. She has these really hard true/false questions. She talks extremely fast and gives soo much hw for a summer course. if you've never taken this course, do not take it in the summer!!!!!
best math instructor ever! asks how many people are following the lecture, offers extra credit. p.s. dont take calculus during the summer ;(
tests get harder by end of quarter but if you start of good you can get a good grade. i recommend!
Good math teacher which is very rare at De Anza. She is a very nice lady but don't be fooled, she is also pretty tough. Her quizzes are ok but her midterms are hard. Her final is killer. You have to keep up with your hw and practice or else you won't pass
One of the best teachers I have seen in De Anza College. A very nice and easy going lady. She will instruct until all the students understand the theories. Though the mid terms are really tough, you will learn a lot of useful info in ur later life.
Nice and helpful teacher but her exams, project and final can be very TOUGH
She is great at teaching and actually takes the time to make sure that we all understand what she is trying to teach. If someone doesn't understand she will take the time to find another way to explain it. Tests are not too hard and neither are quizzes. I recommend her.
She doesn't know the material well. Whenever questioned , she never had a proper answer. Not recommended for Math 22.
Confused teacher
easy quizzes hard final
she sucks...she dont know the materials and seems talking to herself in every class. Avoid taking her if you really wanna understand the class. Her exams and finals are hard tho....not recommended
she's the best teacher you can ask for if taking 1c. i've had this class with 2 others and droped out cuz they can't speak english. but she's very smart and helpful, go to her office hours, she'll help you out. math is hard, but with the right teacher, it's just that much easier.
BIG NO for this teacher!!explain too fast..give a lot of homeworks, quiz / exam every week. Never check the homework, but we still have to turn it in to get it scores. quizes are easy but exams are VERY HARD...she expects you to remember everything from your Math class before...not recommended..
This lady taught at a very fast pace. She did not take time to see if students understood her material. This lady made terrible mistakes while teaching..Seemed never prepared for the class. I would ask her plenty of questions in the class, she never had right answer. Not recommended.

Doli's a really nice prof who enjoys teaching, so please support her by participating in class, going to her office hours, etc. Gives weekly homework, a quiz or test every week, and one tough comprehensive final. She's so good at explaining calculus concepts, and if you try you WILL learn a lot.
A big NO for this teacher.
She is cool, friendly and willing to help anytime you need her. Her tests are not extremely hard though. Be fair people, they are just based on homework problems. The final is damn hard. "horrified"
I don't kno about you guys bambhania is a great teacher, lectures are understandable, hmk is easy. Just do your hmk and you'll do well. Easy A if you ask me.
she is a good teacher.look over lecture notes be sure to do hmwk and you'll do well. if you're a slacker dont take her.. or any math class for that matter
Found her to be a great teacher; I appreciate her enthusiasm especially. It's a great help for someone like me who hates math! She is VERY available to help and is great at explaining things.
very helpful,highly recommended.
Wonderful! Very enthusiastic about teaching and helping her students. Available for out of class help.
Doli is a great teacher. She was extremely helpful and very nice. She truely cares about her students and is willing to help them to do well. Doli is one of the best teachers I have ever known. I recommended her to everyone I know!
Explains really well, and does her best to help... but shes not a slacker. Trust me, the work is going to be hard, BUT she is one of the few teachers who obviously think her subject is really cool, and that will help... if youve gotta take Discrete (i recommend it if you have trouble with calc) take it with her if you can!

Doli actually explains pretty well on her lectures but her tests are difficult and she expects a lot. She gives a lot of points so u have to do hmwk and it will raise ur grade up. do the hmwk and at least get a C on your midterms and u will pass.
I had difficulty in math for about 5 years when i took her class. She was very patient with the class, explaining whenever there was a question and taking the time to help students who needed one-on-one tutorials. I got an A
The first week of class, we were bombarded with hw and quizzes. She's a good teacher, I have to admit that much, but the workload was ridiculous. I'd only recommend her to strong math students. Otherwise, you'll be wishing you didn' take her.
I couldnt understand half of what she was saying and all she talked about was what she did in college. Her class was more like a high school class then college. Dont take her.
I had Doli Bhambina she is a very nice teacher, but she gives an " unreasonable" amount of homework. I was so overworked I had to drop the class, only take her class if math is a strong suit other wise avoid taking her at all costs.
Mrs. Doli Bambhania is a nice and good teacher, who looks like a student. But she gives out hella homework that I have to squeeze in my time to do it and I can't handle quizzes almost every single day I meet in that class. I felt this class is such a rush for me!! I started out good but when Chap 4 hits, that's when everything started to be so hard
It takes a strong instructor to teach Trig. Doli is right there. If you care about getting good grades, she will work with you, beyond her office hours, if she can. She teaches the hard subjects because she is just that good. Yes, there is lots of material, tests, and memory work. But she works like the devil trying to help you get it all.
do not take her math2B. thought she is easy on quizes and tests BUT NOT THIS CLASS!! VERY HARD TESTS and QUIZES and they are ALL conceptual. SO SCARY!!if you want to get good grade, do not take this class.
Once upon a time, there was a very smart student who had gotten an A in bambhania's class before. So this student decided to take math 2b with her also. This is a quote from that student who was also my classmate: "I can't take this anymore, my head is going to explode..." THE END
Very nice teacher, but her tests (at least for 2B) are very hard and full of crazy questions! Weekly quizzes are super easy though as long as you do homework which only help your grade. Otherwise, best teacher I've had so far! Quizzes (20%), 3 midterms (lowest replaced by final if higher - 15% each), groupwork (5%), homework (10%), final (20%)...
Great teacher. She tries really hard, & her classes tend to be difficult (I've taken two), but you really have the opportunity to learn a lot and she is totally committed to student success. If you plan to transfer to a UC or good private school, her class is good because it will better prepare you (many DAC profs are lame)Comprehensive&goodbuthard
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!! I thought she might be difficult at 1ST, but after about 3 weeks, I realized she was SUCH a WONDERFUL teacher! She Actually gives a Sh** about what she is teaching. AMAZING TEACHING SKILLS!! Easy A if you actually care about YOUR own academic schooling. Quizzes & exams are EXACTLY from what she teaches just
Wonderful teacher. Easy quizzes but ridiculously hard exams. She's clear, concise and actually takes the time to know the students. You'll definately learn alot from her.
This teacher gives out the most homework I've ever seen and is very unclear about what she expects on her tests. She's very scatter brained. If math isn't your best subject, take this class from someones else.
Her lectures are excellent-she's animated and excited and she's always checking in to make sure everyone understands. Lots of homework but that's necessary to learn the material. Bends over backwards to help even outside of office hours.
I suck @ math like most people, and need to get through it to transfer. Doli is patient, and very clear. I'm definitly more confident in math now, I wish she was teaching 112, 114, etc. TAKE NOTES and DO THE H/W, thats the only way to learn math!
She doesn't know herself what she wants to say.she is not clear about concepts ,but she expects lot from the students.if you are not from maths major.I recommend you..not to take her class.
i think.she should go and take class under any experienced professor.she is a worst teacher that i have seen...as she is not clear about the concepts at all.
I can't believe these people who complain about Doli. They are ten to one the one's who don't show up for class or don't do the homework. Because, Doli is excellent! She knows what she's talking about and wants students to learn. Although, those who don't show up to class and has too many questions are NOT allowed to hold up others. :) TAKE HER!!!!
She is the worst teacher.....i have ever seen.gez don't take her class as she doesn't know what she has to teach.Frankly, she is not clear about her stuff wht she is teaching.
OO....my god!! This was the biggest blunder of my life to take her class..!! Don't go for her class as first she should clear abouts the concepts....then she should come and teach others..!!Shame on you Doli
The material itself takes some time to digest, but she is incredibly helpful every step of the way
I have no clue what the people before me are talking about. Ms. Bambhania is a AWESOME teacher. She was very understanding to a situation i had right before the final. If you are failing, its probably because you dont come to class or do the hw. She is excellent at explaining and pretty much always avaiable to help.
Excellent instructor. One of the better ones at De Anza. Very helpful at all times. Notes are easy to follow and understand. Must take for students who want to really learn.
This teacher is one of the teacher that make sure you understand fully while she's teaching. If you're really there to learn, take her cause you will learn a lot. She's a great teacher to take for math 51. I had a great time taking her class. SHe is very clear on her lectures.
horrible
She is too fast to teach, and doesn't show exact answers when students ask her from the HW. She tends to expect that they all understand her lecture, but actually NOT! Her extra HWs don't give the extra points if the answers are not correct.....what the hell does she do!?? I spent so much time to do them, just wast time.....
I like Doli---just take notes, do the hw and you will pass. She is very helpful and she knows what she is talking about. 7quizzes (drop lowest) 3midterms+final. I took it over the summer--and would definitely take her again. =]
Great teacher who knows how to communicate to students effectively. She is enthusiastic about math and is great at teaching it. She taight finite with real life situations which helps a lot. She's very nice and answers any questions. Don't be shy because she can help even after class. I would take her again. I wish she was teaching Fall quarter.
I meant Mathh 11 not 10. The best math teacher in De Anza. Asks everyone to raise their hand if they get it, and if one or two people don't raise their hand she explains the problem again. In learned how to finance cars and houses and invest properly. Thanks Doli!
Best teacher i have ever had. Didn't like math until i had her. She is energetic and enthusiastic about helping her students. she always asks if the class is understanding what she is teaching, and if we're not she stops and goes over it again. Best math teacher ever!!!!! If i wasn't leaving i would take every class she teaches!!!
Great teacher!
doli was too cute!! shes perky and enthusistic! haha. she is my favorite math teacher! she cares a lot about her students - but one downer is that she goes by fast pace. but thats just her teaching style.
The best Math teacher at De Anza. Very helpful. Extrememly clear and interesting lecture that I hardly need the book except for homework problems. Makes you want to learn
Anyone who says she gives too much homework is crazy. Math is supposed to be about homework, how else will you learn? Anyway, Doli is an awesome teacher with lots of energy and enthusiasm for math. Loved the class. Tests aren't easy but if you study, obviously you will do well. I recommend taking her class.
She is very energetic and clear in what she is teaching.. and she is sooooooo cute!!!!
Lectures are unorganized & boring. Always late in returing exams, quizzes etc. Never gives enough time for exams, apologizes & promises to rectify next time, but never does. Homeworks always have the same type of problems repeating again & again. If asked to solve any tough problem from homework, she avoids and says she wont give that in exams.
highly Discourage this instructor, the quiz is hard, the final will kill u. many students have to drop her class at the end.
I was really impressed with her. She's very helpful and has so much energy lecturing, it's not hard to stay interested. I don't like math and this was my 2nd time taking the class, but she was way better than the first teacher I took. Do the homework every night, study.. you have to with almost any math class.
Prof. B. is enthusiastic about teaching math. She is helpful & will work w/ you if you are having trouble. She assigns the even # problems from the book so you can't check your homework, but she does give the class a chance to ask homework questions before you turn it in. Some people think she talks fast but I don't. She's a really good teacher.
i passed this class! i cant believe it..i think i even got an A but i was too scared i was gonna fail, so i requested a p/np...anyways, her lectures are organized..her tests and quizzes are from her lectures, sometimes not..i understand math very well thanks for her! u gotta take her!
still one of my favorite teachers out there, and i had her a year ago. her lectures are extremely helpful and you become to REALLY understand the subject. Easy class because you do well because she teachers well! recommend her to the fullest, take her. you wont be dissapointed!
shes hot, her class is easy, shes nice and helpful, dont go, do the homework, get an easy A
Doli is a great professor. She really works hard to make sure everyone understands. She is really helpful too. You have to do your part though, by doing the homework and attending lecture. You can easily pass this class with an A or B. She cares and she's super cute too.
One of the best teachers I've had in my entire school career.De Anza is scarce when it comes to good math teachers who are helpfull, interesting, and actually teach you.Doli actually enjoys teaching and math. She will even stay after with you for an hour, just to talk or for help. She deserves a teacher of the year award!
AWESOME
Despite the fact that there are bunch of HW every week, you will enjoy learning in her class. She is the best math teacher I've ever had. Her lecture is very clear. She is very helpful when it comes to HW, midterm of final. You will love her at first sigh bc She is soo cute! Recommend to take her class. I would take her class again just to see her!
If you don't like perkyness don't take her, otherwise she is full of energy and ready to teach. I hate math, but she made it bearable, which is a good thing. The course was hard, but she did all she can to be helpful and clear. If something isn't clear, she will go over it again without hesitation. Students are her first priority and it shows. She is a sweet person.
Very clear teacher, but sometimes mean if you don't know your stuff. Maybe it's just this quarter, but she was very sarcastic with students when they did the problems wrong on the board. Otherwise pretty good.
Don't take her class if you are not knowing all the concept, she required a REALLY clear concept & minds in her class. A lot of homework problems to do, quiz was so hard, definitly not a easy A teacher, such a setback made students downcast! Even thou you try hard in Math1a, do all the homework still not easy to have good grade, midterms were trick
I loved Doli! I really wanted to take stats with her in the fall but, unfortunately, she won't be teaching it in the fall! She is very helpful and really wants all of her students to succeed! Although attendance isn't really mandatory, she will lecture constantly about how attendance is important in order to succed but that is definately true!
This math instructor is serious about teaching and treats students as they should be treated - as learning adults preparing for advanced learning. Friendly classroom environment with interactive projects that are tangible to scheduled work. Promotes the curiosity of math in all of us. Highly recommended. Rewards hard work, promotes the math dept.
I took Prof. Bahbamnia for Honors. She is a great instrutor, always make sure that the majority of the class understand what she is trying to explain. Really nice professor.
Well, I would say she is simply the best math teacher in DeAnza, I know Lo B. is good too, but I think Doli is better because her lecture is sooooo good and clear, however, i have to say, her quizzes and midterms are NOT easy, so it's all up to you guys, she always gives best lecture and NOT-EASY tests.
this is my first quarter in deanza but professor bambhania made things so fun for me! i wasn't really a math person in high school but now its possibly my favorite subject, thanks to her :). she gives homework every day but it definitely pays off. i hope i get her when i take calc1A!
she is a good teacher , althrough sometimes she doesn't explain the princple clearly .Plenty of homework but there are a lot of extra credits .
she is nice and helpful, but her tests and final were hard!!!! i don't recommend her
It's very difficult to receive an A b/c her exams are extremely hard. Homework is due every week; extra credit is offered, but they are even harder than hw prob.; quizzes are every week, she drops the lowest. I don't recommend her class for anyone who does not have a very strong foundation in math.
she is really really nice professor, I like her way of teaching very much in trignometry. It is so easy to get A in her class. Just attend her class every day. She is really helpful professor.
Amazing professor. She is crystal clear in class. If more than three people or so don't understand it, she goes over it again. Homework is collected and graded--you HAVE to do your homework to get a good grade in this class. She also gives lots of opportunities for extra credit. Tests and quizzes aren't hard as long as you've done the homework
Pick pick pick HER! Her class is not as hard as people think. I got 100% most of the tests. Tips: don't have to be smart, but need to be hard-working, don't throw Precalculus away, stop complaining about the amount of homework and do more, until you really can solve all the problems, lastly, be careful with numbers and +/- signs! Good luck ^^!
fun class.. take her...
Doli is definitely a helpful teacher. She is very clear and really helps you understand the subject. However, she can be quite rude and inconsiderate to students at times. Gives out extra credit before each test & if you put homework answers on the board you also get extra credit. She shows up to class late very often but yells at you if you do it.
this is calculus, so be forewarned, and warned again, but she's better than a lot of other calc profs
BEST LECTURE, WORST EXAMS.
Lectures are clear and organized. She uses good examples and throughout the class will ask people to raise their hand if they understand the material. She will stop and re-explain when she sees people are not understanding. You have to do the homework, though, and there's lots of it! Tests are hard, you have to really understand the material!
Teaches clearly and very helpful. Just do your work and you will be fine. I think it is an easy class, I got A+ in the end.
One of my best teacher ever !!!!!!
I took Math 1B over the summer and it was intense. She assigns homework, collected it every Tue/Thurs, but she is very helpful. No accent, (big plus at DA), but got pretty flustered toward the end bc of the amount she had to cover over such a short period. Hates noise, spunky, hates making small mistakes, can be harsh when you are wrong. Recommend!
Crystal clear lectures, you cannot find another Math. teacher at De Anza that teach better than her. Math. is never easy to me, not to mention calculus, but Professor Bambhania makes them easier to me. Test is fair and quizes are easy. Highly recommended!
She is sooooooooo NICE! She put the points of ur hw in the final grade so u will get about 100points added to your total score! She is sooooo NICE and HELPFUL! Easy A class! Just do the hw then you will get A EASILY!!!!!! Take Her!!!
THE BEST MATH TEACHER EVER.
THE BEST MATH TEACHER EVER!!!!
RECOMENDED
she is soooo nice and helpful! her lecture is crystal clear and test is not that easy but if u do hw is could be not that hard. quiz are easy. highly recommended!
A teacher that is truly recommended for all students. Her lectures are crystal clear, makes sure that everyone understands the materials. However, we have quizzes like twice per week. Also, the quizzes and exams are not intuitive so be sure to do all the homework she assigns and ask questions.
Doli is a great teacher. She is very no-nonsense but really wants students to succeed. You will work hard in her courses but be rewarded by actually understanding the material, not just superficially understanding some formulas. Highly recommended for any students who are not lazy and want to learn a lot.
Great teacher, takes the time to listen.
take this class if you can !!! Easy grader+good lecture
you would want her if you're taking 1B. She's the best teacher for 1B! Her lectures are very clear, and she's very helpful (in terms of answering question). There's a lot of homework, but it really pays off to do it because you need to practice a lot in 1B. Exams are not that easy, but not impossible as long as you practice a lot. Take her!!
She's an excellent teacher. Keeps you interested and involved!! Very helpful if you don't understand and she's a very fair grader.
Have her for stats right now and she is great. Super nice and will explain anything you need as many times as you need. She also teaches calculus so i went to her whenever i had questions for calc 1b and she is happy to help!
She's a fair grader. Gives you points for trying. Very little EC offered. She can be a little unclear sometimes, but which math teacher isn't.
Doli is amazing. Her knowledge and love of calculus really shows when she is lecturing. She is so clear, helpful, and nice. Of course you will have to read the book and do ALL the homework to do well. Also, seek help AS SOON as you realize you aren't understanding a certain section, as it just gets harder as the quarter progresses. Recommend 100%
EASY, she is the easiest teacher you will ever encounter. Her grading is very fair and she lets you make up your late homeworks. SHe is very friendly and nice, just dont text in class or talk when she is talking. HEr homework are alot but her tests and quizzes are soooo easy.
Easy A. Very clear lectures. Just take notes and you will be fine
Do the homework ----> Get an A
She is the best math instructor in De Anza ever! Although the materials are a little hard for me, she provides extra credits to pull up my grades, which is helpful. Also, she is very kind to her students and willing to answer all of your questions no matter how busy she is. Recommend!
She rocks!! =)
I am happy with her class. She is one of best professor i ever took.
Lol. This class was hella legit! Easy if you do hw!
Mrs. Bambhania is a very nice teacher.
She sometimes gives extra credit, which can booost ur grade. Hw is also easy if you spend some time on it. Over all a good teacher. Lectures are very clear and straight to the point. Take her if you can get her class.
She is way better and easy than other calc professors
She is really helpful. I went to her office hours almost every day. She also gives extra credits points, which can increase your Gpa.
Excellent Teacher, however almost always late. Collects homework, teaches clearly and has passion for her job. Allowed 1 page handwritten notes for final but none for tests and quizzes.
Great teacher. Lectures are clear and easy to understand. Extremely Flexible. She came in on a sunday for like a 5 hour review session before the final. Cares a lot about how her students do. Tests are a little hard but definitely fair. Quiz or test every friday though and sometimes lots of homework but i definitely recommend her for calculus.
She is a great teacher and grades very fair (gives you points for effort). However, I find her tests and quizzes a little difficult. Her lectures are clear and she wants you to get a good grade. Don't sleep or text in class (she isn't afraid to call you out on it). Homework is mandatory and was collected. 1 page of notes on the final.
A lot of homework, quiz is difficult, extremely hard on exam. If you not good at math, find another professor for sure!!! Word super hard if you guys take her class!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you don't believe, just try!
Don't expect an easy A you have to work hard in this class. Do all the hwk and study on top of that... But all in all she's very reasonable. Not tricky by any means. ANd always willing to help. Great teacher for Calculus!
Don't expect an easy A you have to work hard in this class. Do all the hwk and study on top of that... But all in all she's very reasonable. Not tricky by any means. ANd always willing to help. Great teacher for Calculus!
If you are good at Math, you'll enjoy her class. One of the best and hardest.
Very tough class to get an A in but Doli is an awesome teacher! She does her best to help her students understand the material. Lots of hw. There is no room for messin around in this class. Everything about her class is pretty tough but she makes up for it by being such an amazing teacher. Easy B, not an easy A.
Calculus is not an easy subject. So expecting an easy A is ridiculous. Her class is challenging but absolutely fair. If everybody fails a test she doesnt hesitate to offer extra credit or curve the test down to help people out. She wants all of her students to succeed and she shows it. She goes SO FAR out of her way to help you succeed. RECOMMENDED
A LOT of work and time is required if you want to do well in this class. No easy A. B is do-able. Doli has extremely good explanations and really tries to make Calc enjoyable. Her tests can be quite hard, but she's super nice and will curve is entire class does poorly. One of the BEST math instructors I've ever taken at De Anza. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Really hard and time consuming. Her tests are really hard. Teachs really fast to keep track on schedule does easy examples from book then gives hardest questions she could find for exams. Very picky when it comes to partial credit. Focuses a lot of theorem memorization on tests. Weekly quizes dont keep u on track just lower ur grade. Avoid!!!!
Excellent professor.I think she is the easiest professor for math 22 at De Anza.
Extremely helpful in office hours and very clear in classroom instruction. Her only problem is classroom management. The same students will repeatedly ask about notation that was introduced early on in the course, and she wastes time reexplaining concepts we should already understand. Always behind calendar due to one or two slow students
She's not as great as everyone is saying. She gets easily annoyed when students ask questions, and expects people to just get things. But overall shes not a bad prof. Similar questions on the tests as in class notes, but she always finds a reason to take off points. Also, attendance is mandatory, so if you like to skip out shes not the prof for you
she is challenging, so be prepared to dedicate a lot of time to the class. tests are long and hard (our class average on the first midterm was 59%)she did curve, but it felt like most of the class didn't pass. she makes you to understand the CONCEPTS and THEORIES, i recommend her if you like to challenge yourself and have a lot of time to study.
Very hard grader but its very fair as in most of the work is doable. Doli is a really good teacher and the study sessions before exams help alot. Make sure you attend class, almost all of the stuff she talks about is way easier to understand than reading the book. Class required alot of commitment to pass, but you will learn alot
SHE ASSSIGNS SO MUCH HOMEWORK! They might seem like a few problems but all problems have like 10948192 parts to them. And you don't even know if she'll collect the hw! She assigns the hardest problems from the textbook. Quizzes consists of theorems/proofs.
Im in her 2013-2014 CREM classes. I can honestly say that she's THE BEST MATH PROFESSOR I've ever had. I had all A+ in my other classes with her. Math 10 is just not for me, but she makes it fun. She actually knows her stuff, cares for her students but she is a hard grader. It's college- who isn't? Anyways, I totally recommend her. We love you Doli!
She is truly the one of the best professors in De Anza College. She has extremely large amount of hw which means you should spend more than 3hours every today to just finish her hw. Quizzes questions are a little bit tricky. Exams have 4 pages 11 problems but only 50mins. She always wants to help her student to learn the materials.
summer class was really rushed, kept going behind schedule, emphasizes neatness greatly, picky on quizzes/tests, teaches well overall, mandatory attendance, entrance cards, great personality! recommend for math majors
You can tell that she's passionate about Calculus. She's really good on explaining stuff. If the class didnt get it, she'll go over it again. She'll go out of her way just to help her students She gets off topic sometimes or shows up a little late but thats it! Totally recommend her.
Great teacher, but do yourself a favor and study HARD for that final. Her quizzes and midterms were pretty fair and consistent, if not easy. The final on the other hand was so hard, I skipped almost half of the questions.
Gives a TON of hw, but explains concepts really well. The final was crazy hard and I skipped so many questions, I thought I'd get a bad grade (coz I did badly on one midterm too). But she must have curved. So don't give up! Though attendance isn't mandatory, you fall behind if you don't attend. Do all the hw, because it prepares you for the tests!
I took her during summer. She gave lots of homework, but it helps you for the quizzes and midterm. Quizzes are the easiest. You can do the midterms pretty well if you practic. The presentation project is easy. However, the final was the hardest. There 10 pages, but she did the curve. Take her if your major is math related, if not take someone else.
This was my first Calculus class here, and she was an excellent professor. She teaches in a very simple way, and ensures that all the students understood her before moving on to the next question. Her final was a little hard, compared to the quizzes, but not undoable. She does not use the textbook all that much, though.
What i like about Doli is that she organizes her notes by color she calls it the color code and just like her i learn faster when things are different colors she also makes it possible for us to earn extra credit if we are behind
Prof. Doli is extremely nice, friendly, welcomes all question. She allows notes on pop quiz. On test and midterm, she also allows cheat sheet. Homework is manageable. As long as you read books and practice questions from book, easy A. Class pace is fast, but totally worth it.

Expect homework, and expect a LOT of it. Gives you both online and written weekly homework, essential to grade. Does not allow make-ups, but will drop the lowest grade for one test at the end of the quarter. Will give pop quizzes as soon as class starts, so you can't be late. Is good about stopping and asking for questions.
It's only the third week but I'm already way behind with homework. She gives so much homework that I need to cut hours from work!! We'll anyways, she's good. Just show up and you'll pass.
Doli is an amazing instructor, she is so precise with everything and will help you no matter what! One of the best math professors I've had at De Anza, although she is tough and expect a lot from you she truly has your best interest. Take her, you wont regret it.
She spends lots of time to make sure the majority of the class understands what she is teaching, but the hw load is huge; I spent 6-7 hrs straight one day to finish the textbook hw, & there's still an online portion. She micromanages A LOT and has an attitude of a hs teacher rather than prof with the way she teaches students, which is exhausting.
She's not as great as everyone says she is. Had to cut hours from work since she gave so much homework.
She is BAD! I tried to go to her office hours and she is never there. She gets mad at the class if we don't know an answer. She starts to call people out for answers. She has a group project at the end. She also has homework, when you have to rewrite the question in pen and answer it in pencil. Her notes are just out of the book.
Her math 42 class is excellent. Take it. you will end up with A easily.
I've had better upper division teachers. Bambhania just gives a lot of irrelevant work. Got an A+ for the class, but the homework just isn't worth it. Had to quit my job for homework that I wasn't sure if she will collect. Good for non-Math or Physics majors. Avoid her if you are a Math or Physics student.
she's nice but sometimes she's wayyyyyyy too precise about everything. After awhile, 40 min class lecture felt like 2 hours for me. She's a great teacher though, her organization is perfection in comparison to a lot of deanza math teachers.
She gives alot of irrelevant work like asking people to copy questions for the HW. so ridiculous! do NOT take her !
Homework is mandatory, attendance is mandatory, tests aren't easy, and she takes a lot of time out of the class to make sure everyone understands the material. Coincidentally these things are also what make her a good Professor. If you're in the class to work and pass, she'll go out of her way to help you. Good experience all around.
Summer class is hard & fast so work hard, spend lots of time on it. She gives challenging homework (ask her or tutors for help), 6 easy quiz and 4 decent tests. . She is friendly, energetic, hard-working and caring. When she asks qs, answer it loud. I never see her getting angryyell. People upset about this bc they want easy A and no work
Great professor, absolutely recommended! What u get is really depend on how much effort you put into it.
took summer course, she's tough. WAY too precise homework not bad though. hypocritical. shes a nice lady if you work with her individually and dont piss her off during class but she treats students like children. can be rude and condescending. but honestly shes a good lecturer and is way excited to help if you ask. isn't always clear though.
this class is the hardest class i took in my life. Part of the reason is because i took it in the summer quarter. Her homework was very hard to do and very time consuming. I think she curves the final because it was so hard. However she is a great teacher and does a great job of helping you understand the material. And always available to help you.
Good teacher, explains things well. Gives you a lot of back ground for all topics but Quizzes and tests are pretty hard. Quizzes every week, midterms around every second/third week. Group project at end of quarter was horrible. Time consuming, on a topic you aren't familiar with, and you're tested on EVERY GROUPS presentation/topic on the final.
Doli is such a careful and high qualified instructor. I totally enjoy her Stat course last quarter. Actually the class involves quite a bit activities. You need to prepare for group work in several labs and 2 projects. Quizzes are given once every two weeks. However, you'll learn a lot from this class and find encouraging in schooling. Thank Doli!!
Currently retaking Math10 bc of her. She's nice & everything but, teaching was not. HW was long & tedious. She goes super fast, no reviews, isn't clear, doesn't break it down, hard quizzes & tests. Lots of hard group labs, heavy on notes. The only way to pass is to seriously devote your attention & work into this class.
The online homework assigned by her is a good representation of what to expect on her exams. Beware, the final is Cumulative! She'll help you if you ask. I still don't know how I passed.
Doli sincerely cares about her students. Her class may seem overwhelming at first but she is definitely there for you every step of the way. She wants nothing but to see her students push toward their greatest potential. Visit her during office hours if you're struggling, she definitely goes out of her way to help. :)
She has a kind of high pitched voice. At least for summer statistics, she lets you have a cheat sheet for every exam, its size corresponding with the amount of material tested. Be sure to buy and read the textbook so you can do the WebAssign homework ahead of time b/c she starts slow in the beginning and goes really fast at the end. Take her!
- Clear instructions, Not afraid to answer questions. - Extra Credit - Homework isn't irrelevant, it actually helps some students aka me. - STEP BY STEP Explanations. - I can look back at her notes and understand the homework, that's important. - Organized, prepared, kind, and cares a lot. - I wish I had this teacher for PreCalc I,II,III to Calc.
Shes honestly a great teacher. Very informative and tries to make sure everyone understands what has been taught. The only con is that you MUST attend each class, although that shouldnt be an issue in the first place for students trying to pass any math class. Missing a class is like missing a whole chapter. Pay close attention as well! LOVE her.
She is extremely nice and compassionate, the class goes through a lot of material but she is an excellent teacher.
No textbook, just a binder with worksheets in it. She goes through each lesson and explains it great. Don't be afraid to raise your hand if you have a question regarding the material. The only thing I didn't like about this class was that there was written AND online homework. Attend class regularly so you don't get lost.
Doli is the BEST! take her! she is caring, nice and helpful. I will take her again absolutely
Doli is the BEST. please take her. she is so caring and awesome
good pofesssor, she teaches well and cares abut the students but not easy, you have to put all your time on it because she expect a lot and also teaches so quickly, the midterms were fine but the final was hard and that killed student's grades because she said that she will replace the final with the lower midterm which is impossible to get higher.
Class average exam score is 60, either materials are hard or teacher is hard.
She is really nice but her tests are insanely hard. She teaches the easy stuff in the class, but will ask the complex problems in the tests. Her quizzes and midterm doesn't match in terms of difficulty so no one knows what to expect in her midterm. Her final was really hard as she will ask theoretical questions, which I think was not fair.
A really good professor!! there is a lot of home work but anything you don't understand usually gets covered in the lectures. She takes time to make sure everyone gets the criteria to help you do better on the quiz/test. Make sure you stay on top of the homework and you will do just fine!
she lectures a lot and goes completely off topic if people in her class have a low grade. she'll explain to the whole class that she is pretty much giving us an A, but in actuality she isn't. on test days she gives out the test and if there is 3 people left taking the quizzes or tests she'll give you 5 minutes then you have to give you test back.
One of the best math profs here. Patient, willing to explain a problem many times until you understand it. No question is stupid. Friendly and straightforward with what is required for the course. Lots of HW, tests are hard but if you do exactly what she says and study hard on your own time, you'll do fine. If you take it during summer, be ready.
Greatest math professor at De Anza. Go to class, take notes. She even uploads notes she takes in class on google drive. Lots of make-up extra credit opportunity, since she's nice enough. I got a B+ in this class without doing any homework. Go over your notes and you will pass guaranteed. Do homework for 20 ec, you will definitely get an A.
She is super nice, enthusiastic, and caring! She's very clear and concise about the concepts taught, and will answer any questions. The weekly tests and quizzes are really difficult, since it requires critical thinking. The amount of homework is heavy, and most of it doesn't cover what she teaches in class (the easy parts).
Honestly one of my favorite professors I've had in De Anza. She actually makes me want to learn math, especially because of how much work she puts in her lessons. It is so obvious that she cares about her students and about their learning. This is the first A in math I have had since the 6th grade. Just to put things in perspective for everyone
not sure why most people did bad in the class, but if you study the stuff without relying on the teacher, its an easy A. The tests are definitely not intuitive, try to self-study because she does skip some of the hard stuff. The first midterm avrg was 70%, and the second and third were similar, but its not difficult.
I took her 1B class. There was much homework! The average of her quiz score was 10/15. Please be aware the attendance was mandatory. And two homework due per week, two quizzes in class per week. She explained very clearly and patiently in the lecture, helpful and nice after class. If you are math major, I highly recommend you to take her class.
I took Math 10 last quarter with her. I had a hard time understanding the concepts. She goes way too fast. Gives lots of homework and quizzes. Tests and quizzes are hard. Tough grader. I would suggest that you don't take her class.
I find myself wishing I had her for the calc series, hence the review. For 42, she was VERY clear (good handwriting!), knew the content, and made sure everyone was following her lectures. There was a lot of HW, though, and it was graded, so don't slack. Test averages tended to be low, but if you do HW, you should be fine. Also, she's the SWEETEST.
I took Math 10 with Doli over the summer. She has a way of explaining concepts that make them very easy to understand. You get notecards for the quizzes and half-sheets for the exams. There is a lot of homework but I didn't find it overwhelming, even in summer session, simply because she teaches so well. Definitely recommend!
Love Doli! She is lecture heavy, but she will make sure you understand before continuing forward. EC opportunities before each exam. She is truly amazing, she cares about her students and goes above and beyond.
The required homework load is INSANE. Usually 20-30 questions per section with 2-3 sections due per week. Each week could potentially be 60 problems from the textbook. Our lecture period was only 50 minutes a day, so she would blaze through problems in class. Pretty much a self study class. Overall fairly difficult to keep up.
She is a nice person but the class is insanely hard. Our original math 1b teacher had a medical issue and she took over as the permanent sub. We missed almost 2 weeks of lecture due to that and our base may be a bit weaker but she doesn't accommodate for that. We rush through the material in lecture and so much homework every week. Super hard test
The pacing in this class is ridiculous, although I can't entirely blame it on her since our original professor got sick and we missed two weeks of class before she arrived. She assigns a crazy amount of homework and often doesn't finish the examples she does in class, even if it is for material that we are leaning that day.
She is a nice teacher. That is the only positive thing to say. Her exams and quizzes are extremely hard and on top of that she is a very tough grader. Over half the class dropped. Do not take for calculus unless you want to ruin your GPA.
She's a great professor. Cares about her student and is fair with her grading. That being said, it is a class you need to put a lot of study time into, but if you do the homework and read the textbook, the tests are fine.
I don't usually leave reviews of professors but I really enjoyed this math10 class and I was actually able to understand and learn new material. You are allowed an index card for quizzes and half sheet for exams and full sheet for final, super helpful!! Lots of homework (due at the end of the week) and classwork but easy A if you do everything
Professor Doli was a great Stats teacher! Be ready for Weekly quizzes, 4-6 pages of Chapter H.W plus Online H.W and many group works! If you feel insecure about math, 100% recommend to go to the MPS tutoring center! They really help you so much! and even brought my grade up! Everyday you're learning something new so try not to miss class.
Terrible. Her tests are unrelated to what she teaches in class. The homework is near impossible. Theres a midterm every other Wednesday and her grading is painstakingly tough . Do not take her class.
Doli is an amazing teacher! If you understand the concepts well then the exams are doable. The exams are based on homework and lectures. Follow the work properly and one can certainly do well in her class! She really cares for her students.
I used to be really bad at math and hated taking math classes. Doli helped me to pass the class, it was the best class I've ever taken .
Professor Bambhania is very nice and is available if you need her outside of class. However, her tests and quizzes are very challenging, she lectures really fast, and even with putting in numerous hours outside of class trying to learn the material, I'm still barely passing. This class was ROUGH
She's a really nice and caring teacher. Lots of work, and quizzes every week. The class was pretty tough, I never knew what was going on, and she randomly calls on students to answer her in class looll. If you do ALL of the homework then the class should be pretty easy. She's a solid choice and a great teacher but will make you work for your grade.
as a person she's really nice and caring. as a professor she's really strict and makes you work for your grade. Expects you to know the material inside and out (like really really inside and out). expects you to memorize every single trig function and identity. I had to drop this class because it was taking too much time away from my other classes.
Always lots to do. Either a quiz or exam (3 midterms) every week. Really cares about her students. Always helpful and answering questions, arranged a tutoring session for the class. High expectations for her students, wants you to understand the content for the future, not just the class. DO THE PRACTICE PROBLEMS!
Her class was not easy, the tests were hard but she is a great teacher. She helps her students to pass her class and gives really good feedback. I love her class, I learned a lot with her. TAKE HER IF YOU CAN.
I love Doli!Everyone loves Queen Doli! Its sad she doesn't teach courses sequentially, I would take her for everything. She is kind, caring, and supportive. Super accessible. Put in the effort, you can get an A. Always willing to explain and go over things when people are lost. HW and lecture prepare you for quizzes and exams. Bambhania 4 life!
Best calc prof I have ever taken. You definitely have to work for your grade. I always got C- in calc all of high school but her lectures were amazing! She was clear w/ everything and will answer any questions you have during lecture and after class. Midterms were difficult but only bc calc is difficult itself. Do the hw and study the lectures
I actually took Doli in the winter but I just now realized how good of a teacher she was. I've always complained in her class but looking back at it, she's so knowledgeable and passionate. Her lectures are so useful, I still flip back to her notes. I never realized what I had until it's gone. I would write more there's a limit, just know I LOVE HER
Very caring and nice professor. If there was ever something that I didn't understand she would gladly help in or outside of class. Grading is online homework with one medium-sized assignment every chapter. Quizzes are weekly with the lowest dropped, 2 midterms, and a final. Easy, low-stress class if you're on top of it. Will take her again for 1A.
Even though her class was hard for me but she is a good teacher. In fact, you have to work hard in her class. The quizzes and homework were a little hard. on the other hand, her lectures are clear enough to understand lessons. Totally, her classes is perfect if you work hard. This class was a great experience for me.
She is brilliant! Her enthusiasm during lectures made me more interested in the already tough trigonometry. She showed excellent animations of GeoGebra that was super helpful to understand how the various shapes of polar graphs, and she used Desmos to show us transformations of sinusoidal which was excellent way to learn! She is generous to help.
Took Elementary Statistics and Probability in Summer 2019. Professor Bambhania was really engaged in her subject and helped me develop an interest in statistics. Not a very hard class.
She is honestly a very good teacher, but her homework and exams were terribly brutal. Lectures speed by super fast, so make sure to ask any questions during her office hours or through email. You will have to put in extra effort in the class, so be ready.
One of my favorite professors at De Anza. She really cares about helping students succeed and is always willing to answer questions and help outside of class. The subject is difficult for me and requires work, but I'm glad to have had her as a professor.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this teacher! Super kind! The class is set up to watch lecture videos and then attend class to do a group worksheet due at the end of the day. They have their own textbook, so you'd be able to self-print or purchase at DeAnza for $30ish. Quite a few pages to self-print. VERY SWEET! 5 points extra credit before each midterm.
Her class has lots of works to do so be ready. There will be discussions, group worksheets, online homework, and quizzes each week. She posts lectures before class, so the class is used to ask her questions and do worksheets with your teammates. Make sure you go through the textbook and do the online homework before class, it helps a lot!
Super kind human being, she tries her best to keep the class engaged and focus on Statistic material. Weeks include watching prerecorded lectures avg- 2-3hrs, going to class, doing quizzes, and then group work. At beginning of class she reviews her pre recorded material. Would recommend her class, but remember to keep up with material :)
Taking her for Math 1A. She's honestly a great person, but her expectations and workload for the class are incredibly unrealistic. It's hard at times to understand what she's trying to get at in her video lectures since the way she explains fundamental concepts is disorganized. I would pick another professor.
She is a fantastic person and is so nice. However she is not flexible at all and the hw amount is insane. I took her for pre calc and calc. This class contributed so much to getting depressed again. She is willing to help, only take this if you are willing to give up all your time.
Absolutely one of the hardest working Professor you will find at De Anza or any other college for that matter. She responds to every single email within few hours, her lecture notes are so organized, helps a lot on homework/problem set/project ideas -- all you need is to show up and put the effort -- and she is right there to help you succeed!!
The amount of work she expects us to do each week is ridiculous. If you are taking any other classes then DO NOT take her class. I studied with my tutor multiple days each week and still couldn't get a good grade. My tutor even said the difficulty was insane for this class. The tests have problems that she never practices with you. Had to drop!
You could really see Doli's passion for Math. I took her MATH32 before, it was really great so then I took her 1A class. But different from 32, 1A class' weekly quizzes, midterm, final all require submitting handwriting, which is time-consuming and complex. I would say this little change is the main reason I couldn't get better than this grade.
Awesome professor. Very kind, course is clear and grading is fair. Class is comprised of video lectures, homeworks, zooms with daily quizzes, 2 exams, and one cumulative final. Put in the effort (it takes a good amount) and you'll get the grade. Professor is very helpful.
Professor Bambhania does not give enough time to complete assignments nor quizzes and tests. She gives large workloads for little time. There are quizzes, problem sets, and two homework assignments each weak. Lectures are fast and hard to understand sometimes because she tends to skip steps. There are also a lot of errors in her lectures and quiz.
Problem sets, 20 min quizzes, MyOpenMath HW, and a discussion every week. 2 midterms and a cumulative final. EC is available. Despite having her during the summer the work load was unbelievable; it took up all of my time. If you want an easy A, I suggest another professor. If you're willing to put the hours in to get the grade you want, go ahead.
Professor Doli is not a bad person and will help you if you ask. I took her 2 quarters straight and I have to say it is one of the most difficult classes i have ever taken. Her quizzes, problem sets, and homework are overwhelming with the amount of time you need to commit. you will have too work all week for this class. the lectures suck.
Doli is a super sweet person but her teaching technique is not the best. For her online class, she uses a reverse teaching approach. You have to watch the HOUR long lectures outside of class & take notes, then you have to attend class for group assignments. If you are someone who doesn't learn like that, don't take her. I had to drop her.
She is so sweet but this class is way too much, especially in quarantine. She gives out so much hw its unbearable, the quizzes and tests are rlly hard. Overall if u want to get depressed take this class
Professor Bambhania is one of the best teachers I've ever had. Her lectures are long and come on top of the scheduled lessons but it's so worth if you want to learn calc the right way. Super sweet and understanding gives a decent amount of homework but it will help you get a good grade. Discussions are a bit annoying but the rest is 10/10!
Professor Doli is a very amazing professor. Although she gives a lot of homework, she is really helpful and does all she can to help you succeed. She prerecord lectures outside of class and you can follow through her lectures at your own pace. Just do all your homework and ALWAYS be prepared for class. I guarantee it will be an easy A.
I think she is very detailed in her lectures. covers the basics. tries to answer majority of the questions. some leniencies. just put the effort forward and you get credit in half the work. The example problems are a little too easy compared to the hw problems. she tries to give the BOD in multiple choice online test/quiz. says a lot, IMO
She's a genuinely very caring professor and will take time out of her day to help you learn, but her teaching style was not good. It was test heavy and the hw didn't always help. She also did not give enough time for the weekly quizzes which sucked. Her class is too much work for the amount of time we were given. I have never felt this stressed.
Amazing! I was so pleased with this course and the professor! She was so considerate and understanding! Did a great job in hybrid schooling, always available for questions! the class was an average difficulty for calculus 1A. Overall HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Professor Bambhania is such a nice and caring person and all of her tests are reasonable (some questions come from hw, but watch the time). Her class definitely requires hard work, and the online hw and problem set each week help a lot in the understanding of course material. Go to her office hour and she is always there willing to help.
One of the most amazing professors I’ve taken a class from. She is incredibly caring and wanting to work with and help you. But the workload and expectations are too high, I spent upwards of 60 hours a week on this class and had to drop other classes just so I had the time. If you’re prone to falling behind, don’t take this class
Doli's not bad. Heavy homework, expect problem sets and quizzes every week. Spend 14 HRs per week for this class. Zoom lectures are recorded, prepared notes given. 20 mins quiz, ran out of time if not prepared enough. Quiz based on MyOpenMath HW and problem set. MOM is awful, ruined your life and all fun of math.
Nice professor. Weekly quizzes (20 mins at the end of class every Friday). Weekly HW and problem sets. Quizzes are basically based on problem sets, so no point on focusing on HW that much. 1 group project at the end. Drops 1 quiz. Material doesn't entail that much calculation but A LOT of proofs. Guess I'm spending another year here.
She cannot solve the problems she gave in homework. Too much repeated amount of homework.
- Highly recommend - Caring professor and constantly ready to help - Class is well-structured
Doli was a very caring and compassionate professor when I took her last quarter for statistics. She is extremely organized and everything is crystal clear; her grading criteria, expectations and study time to do well on the exams. She teaches step by step and explains everything in detail. Overall great instructor and very pleasant to be around.
Great professor, and cares about her students. My advice is to go to her office hours, they are super helpful. My only complaint is that sometimes she goes a bit too fast during the lessons to be able to keep up, but going to office hours solved that problem. There is a significant amount of homework but it prepares you well for the quizzes/tests.
This class was really tough for me and I WON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE TO TAKE THIS CLASS EVER. She gives a lot of homework and problem sets. She takes quiz every week. Your weekends will be ruined. As a person, she is really sweet but won't give you marks. Doesn't let you have notes during quizzes. Attendance is compulsory.
Doli is incredible, she let me add to her Calc1B class (online lecture) late. There are weekly explanation-HW and weekly HW, and a 20 minute quiz during lecture most weeks. She is very willing to give partial credit and is highly accessible outside of class. I definitely recommend her class, but the work takes a lot of time! Best prof I've ever had
Prof Bambhania is super caring & competent. Her classes are tough & the workload is on the higher end but it's worth it & really solidifies your understanding. From my experience, it's 1 problem set, x number of H/W Qs & 1 quiz each week. This class was async but regardless, I recommend always attending office hours even if it is just to chill.
I think she's actually my favorite professor! She's super friendly and super clear. If you get on her waitlist, she'll accept all 6 and her lectures are super clear. She also has neat notes and u can email her for questions if you cant come to office hours. she made it extra easy :3
Doli is a great professor. Very clear expectations, turn EVERYTHING in. Weekly discussions, H.W, quiz's and lecture videos 2-3 hours long, 3 labs. I was afraid to take a math class but the way Doli's course is set up its super easy to follow along. She is also very caring, kind and you can tell she really just wants her students to be successful.
I took this through zoom. She gives out a nice note guide which she teaches off of. Its math so its hard but she was cool with slowing down if you asked. There are weekly quizzes but they are just from the homework. She used myopenmath so no $60 donation to webassign. Probably the best math teacher I've had in this school.
The workload's heavy but manageable. To get an A you'll need to stay on top and not fall behind
Love Doli! Fully async but replies to email fast. Lectures are thorough but can seem overwhelming if you don't stay on top of your work. Not an easy A class but definitely learned a lot. Textbook was free and online. Would release worked out test answers for questions a lot of students missed. Overall great, take her!
She's an amazing lecturer, and her class is very structured. There's a problem set and quiz due every Monday. We also have 3-4 openmaths (they're like webassign) every week. Yes, her workload is heavy, but she sets you up for success, and every class will feel like a breeze after taking her.
A LOT of work but easy if u pay attention. took 2 classes w/ her and great lectures. if u take her online, her notes are easily accessible and are super clear. she made exam pretty easy if u understand the topics. her canvas is super organized and really the easiest math class I've taken (taking into account math lvl) drops 1 quiz, 1 quiz per week
Doli is a great prof who'll prepare you well for your next math class! 2-3 hws, 1 problem set and 1 quiz each week. Problem set takes 2-3 hrs to finish so expect a heavy workload! 2 midterms and 1 final, a cheat sheet was allowed on the final and review for finals is offered as extra credit. She's a lenient grader and goes over lecture notes well.
From winter 2023. I took it online. Lectures are clear and go over every step of the problems. She has pop quizzes every chapter and they are basically from the hw problems. Midterm difficulty is ok and not desperately hard. Intro stat is not that hard if you have taken stat in high school. will take 1C with her in winter 2024.
Don't take her if you're self-admittedly terrible at math but take her if you know your stuff! Doli is soso caring and attentive. Ask for help and she'll go beyond! However, I studied every day to barely muster up passing scores. FAST lecturer. Heavy workload. Miss a lecture and you'll be lost. Final was a curveball...
Doli is a really good lecturer and nice. Gives EC. She is good for those who are good at math and want to "deeply" understand concepts. But her class gave a lot of work and I was stressed a lot due to the amount of time I spent on assignments. If you are going to take her, don't take too many classes as she is the equivalent of two regular classes.
She made me hate math. I am struggling. Do not take her class, please. There are weekly in-person quizzes They are too fast, too many problems, and too little time to keep up with. She does not give solutions to our homework so we cannot verify our answers. She calls on you for participation and if you come to class late she takes off points.
Good professor, tuff subject. Her class is neatly organized. Go over the midterm reviews and you will do fine in this class most of the students got A and B's
Overall, she's decent. She explains concepts, proves equations, and is accessible during office hours. However, she moves through new material quickly and cold calls on students. The problem sets are challenging and time-consuming, and I usually had 1-2 questions I couldn't solve every time. Be ready to study extra for this class.
I have to admit that she has a good lecturing technique. But her workload is insane. The problem set that she assigns each week stresses everyone out and takes a few hours to solve it. But the good thing her midterm is straightforward and it is approachable. recommend her if you are not taking some other heavy classes.
Rather difficult if you're taking other hard courses, her workload is very heavy. If you have a rather light set of courses, she's decent, but if not she'll be a huge weight on your shoulder. Gives weekly problem sets that take hours to finish, some test and homework problems are very difficult. Explains fairly well but assigns too much work.
Her ratings are saturated due to her online student's giving her good ratings. I took her for 1A and almost got a C+ but somehow was able to get a B-, kinda ruined my gpa. Problem sets took more than 3+ most of the times. They don't even prepare you for the quiz or exams so you need to self study.
She really does love math and will talk about it for hours. She gives a lot homework online and has a problem set due every quiz. Weekly quizzes and the tests are decently difficult. You will learn in this class and is great if you have to take other calc classes.
I strongly advise against taking the class of the professor you mentioned. Her workload is heavy and the amount of homework she assigns is quite high. It's better to avoid her class if you want to excel in your studies.
Understanding concepts is very easy the way the professor explains them. And you can tell she cares about the students. But the workload in the class is alot. If you can spend your time doing all of the work then take her.
She is a very approachable professor. Her lectures are OK, and the most important thing is that she really wants her students to understand the material. In my opinion, the exam is not that difficult, since there will not be any questions that are beyond the textbook. Not the best tier, but still a good professor.
Took her class in F24 Quarter, really easy to digest the information she gives out in class and she gives a read-and-follow style notes doc which makes it easy to take notes in this class. Make sure to pay attention and take good notes because she does not post notes online, however to counteract it her Office Hours are very useful.
Took off points on random things for no apparent reason or wasn't consistent with how she graded things. I had perfect attendance and she marked it wrong. She favored some students over others.
This class has so much homework! The two main homework assignments you have to worry about are the online problems and the practice set problems. Lectures are structured by a note packet that you bring to class. This class definitely covers a lot of applications. Out of the three midterms the first one is probably the hardest. Good stuff.
Good teacher, but she assigns WAAAY too much homework. Takes me the whole day to complete, which in turn takes time away from my other coursework. If you're good at calculus, she's fine, but otherwise, I suggest a less assignment-heavy professor. If you must take her & you're not good at calc, get help from the tutors.
Doli Bambhania is an amazing professor. Kind, caring, and dedicated to ensuring everyone understands the content. If someone doesn't grasp a concept and needs clarification, she always re-explains it. There are three midterms, all of which are very easy if you complete the problem sets. She is also very open to office hours.
These positive reviews gotta be fake
She is a great professor who explains concepts very well. She assigns online homework after each unit and a weekly problem set, so it's best to complete the homework as soon as she finishes teaching to avoid struggling with the workload. Her exams are a bit challenging, so it's important to prepare in advance. Overall, her class is fantastic.
Prof. Bambhania explains and breaks down Calculus very well where she encourages discussions and engagement in class. She gives some minimal EC. She does however give a bit of homework, but is accomodating and very accessible outside of class. You will have to put in the effort and the work, come to class, but she is one of your best bets at DA.
She gives a lot of HWs and there are also problem sets, you might have to put a lot of hours into this class. Aside of that, she is really passionate about teaching Calculus and she is nice too. Overall, I had some good times in her class.
Lectures were very clear and slow-paced. Homework was minimal, a few challenging paper problems, which made it difficult to review concepts without outside resources. The professor had weekly quizzes that were based on the homework problems she provided for us. I'm not sure why I dropped the course, even though I had an A-.
im scared for this quarter quizzes every week 3 midterms 24 problems for each day i just wanna transfer to a university
If you cant pass this class, gl with life
Took her stat course, and honestly, she's the best. Not much HW (yes if you take her calculus though), straightforward lectures, and easy to reach out to. Would definitely recommend if you want to learn and have connections with your professor.
