She's the best professor you'll have. Cherish her while you can! Not only is she helpful but she makes your days go by faster. Having a 7am Saturday class can be a bummer but I can definitely say she is great and validations are fun. You learn so much while having fun.

She didn't lecture a whole ton, but the tests are based on what she does lecture, so if you pay attention and take notes, you'll do well on the tests. She's easy to talk to, and easy to understand. And makes you want to learn.

DeSalinas lectures are straight to the point. She is one of the few Nursing professors at WCU that actually teach the material and go over everything in detail until you understand. Best Fundamentals Professor!! I took her not knowing what to expect and she just reads off her notes no powerpoints so you have to pay attention! She lets you record her lectures. Study with the ATI books and you will be fine. Textbook was rarely used.

Professor Desalinas was amazing! Coming into fundamentals I was so nervous but she broke every thing down and made it much easier to understand! She was so funny and made things a lot more fun. She didnt use a PowerPoint which made lecture a lot better!! DEFINITELY TAKE HER

Prof DeSalinas is great for funds. Listen to her lectures, everything she says will most likely be on her quizzes. So many people found her class to be difficult, but it just depends on the learner. I never opened the book. I take really good notes so that's extremely helpful, watched HeluvaRN on youtube, and referenced the handouts she gave.

Do yourself a favor and TAKE HER CLASS. Her lectures are straightforward and extremely easy to understand. There is a quiz every week that are based on her lectures, so if you take good notes and pay attention, and put in the effort to study, you should be able to pass with an A!

I've had the pleasure of taking this wonderful amazing professor for both NURS 100 & 190. Nothing comes easy in nursing school but when you have professors like Desalinas teaching you the subject & you studying on your own as well, there is no reason why you shouldn't pass. I only wished there were more professors like her. She is amazing !

Amazing professor! She wants everyone to pass & if you put in the work, take good notes & attend study sessions; very possible to pass with a high grade! For those that want a better understanding of preparing for questions follow syllabus and access the ATI's assigned weekly/ATI practice quiz's per section to check your knowledge of the content.

She was so far my favorite professor at WCU. The lectures were long but not boring because she teaches with passion. There were reviews before tests which helped a lot. She's also very motivational which helped a lot during this term. Although she's great the material isn't easy so be ready to put in time and effort in order to pass.

Probably the best Funds teacher. Lectures are absolutely amazing, she reviews for the quizzes the day of and/or the week before the quiz. I actually had Dolores for NURS 210L. I recommend her for any course. She can definitely teach students clinical skills and more because her classes are always intellectually stimulating, no matter how little sleep she gets. You learn a LOT. It makes one realize most of the other professors are there for a paycheck... She deserves a raise!
