He's really a overall good professor. Always available for extra tutoring. Provide real-life scenarios for scientific understanding. I'll definitely take another one of his classes in the future

I loved Dr. D's class. Microbiology is a hard subject to learn but he teaches the information in terms that a normal person can understand that I can tell others what I have learned. He is always available to speak with you after class and if you email him, he actually emails you back. College needs more like him in Biology department.

He is such a great teacher! He makes class fun and interesting! I would definitely take another class with him. He is willing to help anyway he can and truly love to see his students succeed.

Dr. Salerno made microbiology very interesting. It was definitely not boring. He's always willing to help you and makes himself available if you need his assistance. I would HIGHLY recommend him.

Dr. S is a great teacher and a very cool person. He will give you all the help you need to pass his class with a good grade but its up to you to study (Hint he gets annoyed when you don't). Bottom line if your lucky enough to take any of his classes go for it you wont reget it.. Your the man Dr. S!!!

Dr.S is really funny and energtic. He is really cool in lab but tricky in exams. He usally allows reviews( in power points) and that helps you to get 15%-20% of an exam. He is a fair grader and also very helpful

Very laid back guy but u have to study and at least try. If u get a C in his class that means you didn't care. Can be moody at times but ill take that any day over any other professor. Exams can be hard but will give extra points. Gotta love this guy.

Nice guy. Professor Salerno obviously wants to see his students succeed. He gives homeworks, lab reports, and a book report which help boost your grade. He also gives extra credit when needed. If the majority of the students do poorly on an exam he is fair and will give a curve. Much better than other Biology professors at CCP.

one of the best professors ive had. tests are difficult, but he gives reviews and gives you the essay questions a week before the test. departmental final is extremely hard. keep your grade up, because the final will lower it.

He is a great professor. Shows no favoritism. You do your part and he will do his. Even though A&P is not his forte I learned a great deal in his class. He is very helpful and wants his students to do well in his class. Attend the lectures on time and do all the work he tells you to and you will do really well.

Dr. Salerno is a great teacher. He expresses his expectations really clearly, and is generous with providing the essay questions for the test ahead of time. He likes a lot of detail in his essays and expresses that detail during class if you are paying attention. He is fair and very knowledgeable, and keeps the class light with his jokes.

I've been to 3 colleges and have a BS, out of all the professors I've come across this guy is the best teacher. He is completely clear on what needs to be done to get a A. He provides reviews, essay questions for test, extremely helpful in lab, extra credit and has a sense of humor that will keep you engaged. The subject matter isnt an easy A.

Clearly loves his job; he knows what he's teaching and loves teaching it. Is very funny and will keep you to pay attention. He helps you as much as he can to help for a good grade. If you pay attention and actually read the text and his study guides, you'll pass.

Great Professor! Just like any professor should, he expects you to come in on time and be prepared for class so don't be lazy. He keeps the class funny and interesting. Some tests are intimidating, but they cover everything we learned. He can be forgetful at times, but nothing too bad. I would take him again!

Interesting class but it was tough in my opinion. the tests were hard even though Salerno did give us some review. However he did give curves and a extra credit. He's a chill guy and I do believe he wants his students to pass but you definitely have to work for it. But overall I enjoyed his class.

Professor Salerno is one of the best prof. That CCP or other colleges ever had. I got him before at CCP for Micro and he is knowlegeable about subject and science in general. He is very smart and intelligient and makes students be in love with science. I am done now from another college after CCP and No other professor can't be compared to him.

I absolutely loved this class. It's not very often that you get to be in a small class with a PhD and researcher who really knows what they're talking about and is passionate about the material. He really made it interesting and fun. It's a hard class but really worth it.

Great teacher. He curves grades which really helps because his tests are really hard. He teaches off power points, but still need to read chapters. Study and pay attention in lecture and you can get a good grade. His lectures are interesting because he throws in some humor and actual life experiences which help you to then recall the information.

Just come to class and you won't find it difficult to pass.

Great professor. Very willing to help his students and answer any questions. Lectures are clear but tests can be a little long and more in depth than what was covered (do not go by just the pp). He has a sense of humor and enjoys teaching. Learned so much in his class and will definitely take him again. Oh, and he's cute.

I certainly recommend him for Bio106, cool professor, lectures are interesting, makes funny jokes, helps students. there 3 exams and 1 final. Exams are hard, so to receive a good grade be prepared to read the book, otherwise you will fail the class.

You can tell he really cares about what he does. It's not the easiest class I ever taken but he will help you get the grade you want.

He is an interesting professor. Very down to earth. He knows his stuff but sometimes gets carried away with his lectures and may as well be talking in another language. He gives study guides which are very useful for his tests BUT the Dept Final was a lot of info I feel like I never heard before. He is very easy to talk to and willing to help.

I LOVED taking this class! For someone who doesn't necessarily enjoy biology, I looked forward to coming to professor Salerno's class every week. He is so fair with his grading system and gives so many extra credit opportunities to those who need to bump their grade a few extra points. He made class enjoyable and interesting with stories and videos of the topics we were learning. Come to lab and class prepared, study his quizzes/reviews for tests, and prepare your essays ahead of time and you will pass.

Dr. Salerno was awesome. His tests are tough, but don't let it bother you. He gives PLENTY of extra assignments to bring your grade up. He is very funny, and will offer his personal time to assist. Highly recommend him, but where his exams are concerned study more than his study guides... TRUST ME.

Professor Salerno is a caring professor. Do the work he gives, it's very easy and take little time. His tests are very challenging, however, you can read his study guides on canvas where some questions in the study guide appear exactly on the test. Lastly, don't cheat, he will give you a 0, a low grade is better than a 0.

Professor Salerno tries to make Microbiology as easy as possible to grasp. His exams are heavy with essay questions, don't skip exam day there are no make ups. I recommend utilizing the power points and when he emphasizes on a subject (explains it on the board) take notes and STUDY them. He offers extra credit. I would take him again, he is great!!

Dr Salerno is pretty straight forward on what he expects from you as a student to pass his class. His exams are a little tough with the essays but not too bad. I feel the essays actually helped my overall grade. He wants to see you pass his class, as long as you give him something to work with he will help you in any way possible. Highly recommend!

Dr. Salerno tried making everything interesting and tied relatable material to his interesting life. His tests are doable if you listen to his lectures and pay close attention to his ppts and whatever notes he posts online. Bottom line, very outgoing professor, try having a convo with him during lab!

Loved this class. Biology was always hard for me to understand but dr. Salerno made it simple and easy to understand. His exams are not that hard if you come to class, they are based off his lectures, homework and quizzes. He doesn't give a lot of homework, one per chapter and one online quiz before exam. He curves your scores and drops the lowest.

Loved his class. He really cares whether you pass or fails. As long as you study and pay attention during lecture, youll do well. He also dropped the lowest test grade, which was a major help.

Funny guy that tries to incorporate that trait into his lectures. The exams were relatively average w/ the class doing C+ average. A lot of little assignments that help bump up your grade. You can always ask questions. Only gripe w/ him is that he sometimes lectures like we are at his level of expertise in the topic.

I don't usually write reviews but I have never had a professor that I liked so much. Sure he does go off on tangent a lot of times but the class itself is extremely entertaining and his edgy jokes are the best. I am a type of student that doesn't really go to lectures and get decent grades on exams but for this class I always attend. Real gem.

His class was challenging but not impossible. Though the course is test heavy, he did give out multiple assignments, one being a short research paper to help boost your grades. If you show up to class, take notes during lecture ( especially on whats emphasized ) , go to all labs, & do your homework (aka what you're supposed to do), you'll be fine.

I took him for Late Summer '19 and even though he was a cool professor, personally, this class was HARD taking it over the summer! I passed with a C but this grade feels like an A+.

Taking his class online is a piece of cake. All exams and quizzes are multiple choice, the labs are pretty straight forward, and the virtual labs each worth 5 points are also easy. All that being said, there are A LOT of assignments and it's very time consuming. Every week multiple quizzes, lecture assignments, lab(s), and every 3 weeks an exam.

Don’t get me wrong, this class isn’t easy by any means. You do have to study and the multiple choice questions are based on the textbook more so than what he teaches. However, he is very understanding and really does want his students to pass. Ask him for help and he will help you! He’s also a funny guy! I recommend him.

I had Dominic Salerno as my Anatomy I Lab professor at Thomas Jefferson University - East Falls. While we had many setbacks due to weather conditions and COVID-19, we managed to have two in-person classes and got to dissect sheep brains! Professor Salerno is extremely flexible and easygoing, way better than the Anatomy I lecture professor.

he is a super nice guy and always makes jokes during class. lectures are very informational but he goes through everything pretty fast. a lot of quizzes but they are all online. tests consist of multiple choice and a couple open ended but he always tells you what they opened ended questions will be and gives a handful of the multiple choice.

I've taken Salerno my first semester at CCP & he was amazing !!! He's inspirational and motivational. I loved hearing his career stories. He makes biology east to understand. He helps alot and wants the best for all his students! Whenever I register for any science, I search for Salerno first!

Biology is tough, he is a chill and laid back professor but there are days that he let it out on his students. He does care about his student weather they pass or fail so just put in the work and try your best and you'll be fine!

This class was difficult, but Professor Salerno cares if you pass or fail. He is funny and tells personal stories that improve lectures, but sometimes he has days where he can be a lot. You can tell he loves teaching and his students. His class can be unorganized, but if you need help, he is always there. I would recommend taking this professor.

He is bit disorganized but aware of it so he will work with you. He is a good lecturer and very knowledgeable but sometimes he goes a bit too fast.

This course is not for the faint of heart. I took the 7-week hybrid. This and A&P need in-person lecture and more spread-out chapters. With that- Salerno knows his stuff and wants everyone to learn the material- now or later. Focuses on teaching the need to truly learn the concepts for nursing/med/tech schooling. Great prof with a ton to teach

Took him for a 7-week course. You can tell he cares about his students and wants them to succeed. Could be a bit more organized, but overall a great professor. It was a lot of work, but absolutely doable.
