Honestly when I went into this class I wasn't too interested in archaeology, but he made it fun and exciting. Great enthusiasm for the subject and a lot of experience for someone so young. Great professor with a sweet sense of humor.

He was a great orator and his case studies helped to make the learning environment very enjoyable. The course reader is also very interesting. He's a great choice for a professor.

If you want someone genuine who really cares about his work and his students, take Rissolo. He loves what he does, he cares, and he shows it. An honor to be in his class. Great guy.

Dr. Rissolo is VERY interested in Anth and is a great professor. But his midterm and final are unreasonable because there is SOO much info to cover. Would rather do 4 tests. 150 point scale has it's disadvantages. Study hard, every point counts.

Some of the ratings recently submitted are completely unfair. BACK OFF! His young son died during the spring semester, yet he still cared about his students. HE IS GREAT & more than happy to help ANY STUDENT THAT WANTS TO LEARN!

Totally cool teacher! If you go to class,study, take notes, no problemo passing! If you got a question he is there for you, go to his office, he'll spend all kinds of time with the help.

This is a fantasic professor...if you have the chance to take any of his classes, do it! Makes subject matter interesting and genuinly cares for his students.

Good lecture class. Not boring like others. He has a big vocabulary and uses it. 3 tests and the tests are cake if you take good notes. USE THE STUDY GUIDE! Print it out with space to write in and bring that to class to take notes on.

Prof. Rissolo has a passion for what he teaches and does it well. He's very willing to answer any and all questions and takes into account the fact that his 349 class is full of G.E. students. Very knowledgable yet "dumbs it down" well for the newbee's. So polite and almost too patient.

He is a very good teacher. Class is straight forward. 3 exams and optional xtra credit essay. Material is somewhat difficult but overall a good class.

I really liked this class, exams had really clear questions, if you take good notes (which is super easy because he gives you the study guide at the begining) you can easily get an A. Get out early every day. Highly recommend.

I don't know what that moron is talking about, this class is great! He takes a somewhat boring topic, shows pretty pictures, tells fun stories.the tests are easy if you half try. You have to TRY to do badly in this class. Plus, he's super nice, and total eye-candy!

Dr. Rissolo is always willing to help his students. He is clear, fair, and straight forward. If you attend his class and take notes, you should get a good grade. Nothing is confusing in class because he cares and makes sure that everyone is on the right page. Anyone who thinks otherwise is lazy!

As long as you take good notes, the tests are easy. Also, download the study guide and bring it to class and base your notes on it.

Lots of info to memorize, but its all in the lectures & follows the study guide exactly. Extra credit for attendance & research paper. Class out of 150 pts and e.c. is up to 20 pts, so it can really help out. Attend class, take notes & get an easy A. Most of the time class is only 30-45 min long!

Good culturally diverse class to take. Tests are easy and are completely from lecture. You get a study guide to help take notes. 3 exams, 1 extra credit paper and extra credit for attendance. Good class. He looks more like the lead singer from Dashboard confessional than the verizon guy.

Take ANTH 349, not MUSIC 345 b/c you will learn a lot in this class. Rissolo is way better than Logan for music.

Who cares if the class is easy or not? He is so hot you will want to take his class. The tests are fairly easy. There is just a lot of information you have to know to get a good grade!

I loved this class... Rissolo is a great teacher and yes.. he is pretty hot. Classes are usually out early and lectures are interesting. Go over your study guide before the test and you'll have no problem! Easy A... B if you dont try.

The best Anthropology teacher I have ever had. One of the clearest speakers, able to keep a class interesting the entire duration. He let us out at around 60 minutes or less (sometimes 40-45) almost every single session... and this was a 75 min scheduled class! Take Rissolo if you like Anthropology... Unlike the comment below, Professor Rissolo is actually a very caring teacher. He would never turn a student away for being sick or having a major problem. Professor Rissolo is always willing to put in the extra time to help his students out. In addition, his class is clear and fair, making it very hard for a student to not succeed. Take the class!

Dr. Rissolo was one of the best professors I've had in my 4 years at state. He made an exploration class interesting and enjoyable. His tests are so easy as long as you go to class and take notes. Plus you get extra credit for going and he's adorable.

Wow, easy class. Just go to class(you get extra credit), don't buy the book, print up the study guides and leave space so you can write down info from lectures(which he gives you). Three tests, 50pts each all from lectures. up to 10pts extra credit for attendance, and 5 more for a museum visit. Great teacher, helpful TA definately take him.

Must go to every class to study for the tests. He gives extra credit for attendance so it gives u a great boost in grade.Everyday is a lecture in that class.nothin interesting.He gives u a study guide for each test so its helpful but there is ALOT of material to cover. Good Luck!

great teacher ..... come sign role ..... get notes from someone else (gives you the study guide for the tests at the beginning of each section) no homework ..... interesting lectures but sometimes still managed to fall asleep

Risollo is nice and straightforward. Follow the studyguide, but he does not always go in order. The book is not necessary, but it helps you fill in the studyguide. 10 Extra credit points for attending and 5 extra credit points for a one page museum paper. 150 points total, 3 tests, 50 points each. Fairly interesting lectures and fairly easy tests.

Very passionate about his subject, makes what could be the dullest subject imaginable interesting. Tests are easy, book is unnecessary....doesn't get muc more straightforward than that.

the best class at sdsu for the cultural diversity explorations, just go to class, you don't need the book, you can get it all from the lectures. you get extra credit for going to class, and there is an extra credit museum 1pg write up. by far the easiest class i've taken at sdsu. i ended up with 158 out of 150 points total for the class.

this is an AWESOME class! dr. rissolo is very passionate about his work. its a very interesting history class in its own. you learn about different cultures! easy A..go to class, take notes, do extra credit, and do good on tests are your good to go! i highly recommend this class to fulfill that one ge requirement.

I have taken three classes from him and have ENJOYED and LEARNED in each one. If you really want to learn about a topic (especially Meso america)and are able, take Dr. Rissolo!! You will not regret it! He is always there to help and answer questions. An excellent instructor,to be honest the best in the anthropology department.

This class is super easy. He gives extra credit just for showing up and you can go to the museum if you really need more. Two tests and a final all the same format- 50 multiple choice questions. If you like skinny guys than i guess he's hot.

easiest class i have taken in college by far, didnt pay attention, showed up 50% of the time, did the easy EC, studied a total of 8 hours the entire semester, got a 97% A and learned some in the process

One of the best classes to take! Very interesting, fun and informative. Professor super helpful, makes the subject easy and gets the students attention to learn more. Provides information on alternative books in the subject. One of the best class taken. Professor full of energy.

Show up to class = Easy A. No homework and no cumulative exams. Don't need the book either. Anything you miss in class can be found online.

Professor Rissolo is a great teacher. He loves what he does and is excited to teach us what he knows (which is a lot). He's very helpful and is always in a good mood, and makes his exams very "straightforward." He's pretty cute too.

Dr. Rissolo is the best professor. I am an Anthro major so I took his 349 and 302 at the same time. Best decision I ever made. He is so helpful and really clear to understand. He really made me see Anthropology in a whole new way. If he was teaching another course I would definitely take it with him.

This class is what college should be about; refreshing, straightforward and laid out very well. Pretty chill class, just make sure you print out the study guides and bring them to class to take notes. If you go to most classes, you should at least get a B. He also lets you out 25-30 min early which is nice for an 1:15 min class. Also, definitely do not buy the book, it's a complete waste of money.

Definetly a great class to have for an elective.. it's way chill, just go to class and take notes, no reading needed. Can easily can an A with just studying the day before the test if you have gone to class. The exams are easy and he makes the class interesting, not too bad to look at either!

One of the best class I've taken. Dr. Rissolo relates the material with his experiences from the field. Just go to class...take notes...and study one day before the exam. Everything that he went over in class is in the exams, so no tricks! Plus there is a study guide! There is no reason why u can't get an A.
