Prof. Dawes is the best there is at PGCC. I've never had a professor who took the time to explain the concepts even when I said I didn't understand more than once. He cares about the student and egardless of ability does not make you feel dumb in class. He is very smart, funny, and displays an infectious enthusiasm for math.TAKE HIM. U wont regret

One of the best professors I have ever had. He teaches from the book and goes step by step to make sure that you understand it 100%. If you are willing to put in effort to earn a good grade it will happen; however, he will not just hand you the A. I would love to take him for future classes. Would recommend to anyone.

Prof. Dawes was a great teacher. In my opinion he was very clear and easy to understand. For those who were struggling in his class he provided them with extra help after class and even on his own personal time. I've taken this course before but I've never had anyone quite like Prof Dawes. You're eager to get to class and the funny thing is that when in class you don't notice the time. He's so engaging and entertaining. All cabaret aside, Ive learnt so much in his class, so many principles that I failed to understand with other profs. Wish I had him sooner

Excellent professor! I love the way he teaches and trust me, you wont get bored. He is really good, very helpful and makes sure you understand the material being taught. He talks a lot about Nika his neice, and her love for math. He uses her as an example of how we too can develop a passion for math. He made me love math. I strongly recommend him.

He's AMAZING!! Professor Dawes has to be my most engaging class of the day. The time goes by so fast and he makes the course so relatable to life that you laugh and actually enjoy the work. He has an adorable Jamaican accent and stories for days and will break down math in a way that helps you learn to love it.

Great Professor really believes in his students

This class was not what I expected, but it was what I needed. Professor Dawes techniques helped to alleviate not only my fears about math but also returning to school after 40 years. I think that most students and especially older ones would benefit from taking "Planning for Academic Success........". It is more than a math class.

Dr. Dawes is the kind of Professor that if your going to want your specific goals met he will come through. He has the personality of a superstar with all of his ducks in a row. Dr. Dawes goes gun-ho to allow all aspects of creative learning to take the wheel. The expectations coming to class for the first time to the very last was enthusiastic.

Professor Dawes is a wonderful teacher. I've taken his class twice and he was extremely helpful to me, he did everything he could to help me pass. You don't need to come to every class just when you need help since its modules online. He gives the students his personal number if you need him for the work. Awesome!

I needed to pass modules 12 and 13 in MAT 0104 to go on to MAT 1350 late start and Professor Dawes helped me complete the class in time. He was a great help if I had him as a professor in the spring I'm sure I would have completed 0104 already. I would definitely recommend him to any student interested in 0104.

Taking math wasn't a mistake and I enjoyed every bit of the lesson taught. My professor made the class very interesting and explains all the difficult problems we encountered in class. The course was very easy going especially when he had to solved problems with fun. I look forward having him again in any math class.

Prof don has a great love for teaching. He contacted me before the class even met for the first time (by phone) and introduced himself to me and gave a quick intro of the course. If you work hard he will notice and encourage you. Easy to contact ,gave out his cell number. He is a funny guy filled with life. He is very fair.

OMG where do I start. He is a wonderful professor. I just want to thank him for being there for me when I struggled at times. He gave me support throughout the course and sort of knew the moments when I needed it the most. He encouraged me to work hard and many students including myself were on campus on weekends and late at nights doing math.

GREAT PROFESSOR. Prof. Dawes is very understanding. He's really helpful in assisting students who are struggling with math. He is willing to spend time (a lot out of class) to break down the material. Without professor Dawes I would be lost, even thought of dropping out, but because of him I managed to do well ... a B instead of the usual F.

Professor Dawes is the only professor ever to call me before the semester started to get to know 'me'. I couldn't believe it. That level of concern and the ability to listen to students fears and not be sarcastic is notable and really unheard of in the math dept. We marvel all the time in class, how hilarious he is, always happy and helpful.

This professor is excellent. He understand his students, and is excellent at picking out what each individual needs to succeed. He is extremly patient and will explain things as many time as necessary. This point would also have to be my only critique, sometimes it would be better to explain things that one person didn't get at the end of class.

I know that the semester has just begun, but believe it or not, Professor Dawes called my home phone before the start of class to welcome me and ask if I had any questions or concerns. This is the first time a professor ever called me. The phone almost fell out of my hand. The only word that can describe this is AWESOME!!!!

Profesor Dawes is by far the best math teacher ive Had. Math was never my strong suit but he legit breaks every word problem down to the smallest step. Dr. Dawes is the best thing that ever happened to me. I've been out of school for a while and math was never easy for me. So I was a bit timid and fearful of college level math. He made it so simple it was too good to be true. I did better than I thought I could ever do. Apart from being nice, he is patient, he listens and never belittles you.

Professor Dawes is a great teacher. if you do not understand the material, he will take his time to explain it to you. he's always in campus, which makes it easy to ask for help before and after class. MAT0104 is pretty fast pace so you have to make sure you're doing all assignments on a timely manner. I definitely recommend taking his class.

Beware of pop quizes, and lots of homework too. Asides from that, this guy is amazing; Not to mention hilarious. He is willing to work with you until you get it, and you are where you need to be. He has many methods of teaching, making the lessons seem a lot less stressful than your usual math class. You won't be sorry.
