if you are someone who can teach yourself its a great and easy class but if you know nothing about Algebra don't take him! He doesn't teach anything
He sucks! My suggestion is, if you are going to take his classes, change your schedule whenever it is possible!
very nice guy, yet doesn't teach well.
Very hard class, that is if you don't pay attention or don't GO! If you are there everyday and keep on track, his teachings work. If you fall behind it's very hard to catch back up because he stays on track and keeps going and going. Great guy, funny at times, just very straight forward when it comes to the math.
He dosen't know how to teach math.He is a great person but this is not his thing. I had to take him twice for the same class and it was the absolute worse. I went to class took notes, the book was teaching different things, it was just a mess.
Very good examples. Easy A.
Hard class but Dr. Hunt does everything he can to help the students get through it. Tests are hard. Most will need help from a third party. Overall nice guy. Very amusing and entertaining.

Does not explain thigs well AT ALL but most of the tests I mean "Festivals" he gave were true false and extreely easy, even the final exam is true false. I am not a math person, i thought i did bad in his class and somehow ended up with an A
drags evrything out way too much
Goddamn. this class sucked. Its not hard. Hes just an idiot.
In my opinion, Dr.Hunt is a nice person and his classes is not difficult at all. In order to pass the class, you also need to study algebra everyday.
A very easy class, got an A even I just study on the day before the tests. He's really a funny person. But he was teaching really slow and couldn't follow the syllabus...and his lecture is not really very very well-organized.
He is a very nice guy, very funny and most of the time entertaining. Knows his algebra well, but you should know about algebra before you take his class, some of the stuff he justs expects you to know. Grades pretty good, if your not doing to well, ask for extra credit, he'll give it to you. Gives a study guide for each test. Final exam is easy.
I took his class summer term A. He was very nice and helpful, but was not clearly on algebra. I had no problems with him with final grade with C+. Final Exam was VERY easy if you study from old tests, quizzes, and study guides. :) Just make sure you check incorrect questions on tests and quizzes before taking Finals.
Dispite all the negative things that i heard about Dr. Hunt i STill took his class and i am so happy that i did i am no where near a math wizard and to be honest 1+1 gives me a major headache . i explained all of this to Dr. Hunt and to my suprise he really helped me . all Dr. Hunt wants to see is you trying
He is an amazing teacher..very funny..he's a good teacher!!! Take the class!
He was fine in MAC1105. But he is really not good at teaching MAC1114. For most of the time, he shows us the examples in the book and do it himself. But he never explains. But still too funny to make everybody laugh.
very nice!
Dr. Hunt is a cool teacher. He is so funny. Either you hate him or love him. I just had him for Summer A and pulled off an A.
He is a very good teacher. I am not at all interested in math, and he applied the math to real life matters for the class to better understand. He is very nice, and always cheery. He grades extemely fairly, and gives some extra credit here and there.
Funny guy and pretty decent teacher. helped me out with my grade with some extra credit. i definately reccomend him. particpation helps alot.
easy class, nice guy, moderate amount of work.
I took the "computer assisted" class where you go on campus to do the online class. I got an A. I hated the computer program they use with a passion. the program explains horribly. never take an online math. + if you don't stay on top of the class, you will get burned!!!!
Great teacher, very excited about math. He likes to use "festivals" instead of tests. Great teacher, willing to go over anything you don't understand.
awesome teacher spent plenty of extra time with me to help me understand math!!!
Great teacher. Funny and very helpful. One of the best math classes i have ever taken. Moderate homework. Do your work and you will pass.
Dr. Hunt was an incredible professor! He was fun, clear, and extremely helpful. The class was easy, you just had to pay attention and do the homework. All in all, a great class!
Great teacher! Hes really funny and if u dont understand he will gladly help you! He's awesome u wont regret taking him!
Awesome teacher!!!
He is very funny. The book is supplied to you, if you can teach yourself and work on a computer you will do just fine in his class. he has lectures he recommends you be in class 4. 19 quizzes(every section) like 6or7 test.
I am glad that so many people like him but I find this class to be pretty tough. He talks as if you already know the material and he is so hard to follow. His lecture is all over the place. He is funny and all but if you ask him a question, he asks you a question.
Dr. Hunt is a great math teacher, math is his world and it shows. The festivals are not difficult if you practice problems. He has an effective teaching manner, and really inspires you to learn math. Take him if you really love math, or have a desire to learn.
You must know your stuff for his class. I love math and I had a hard time with him. He is nice but that does not make up for him not helping you to understand the material. Take Jones for Mat 1033!!
please take another teacher it would be alot easier
Doesnt grade well- double-check work handed back
I love math, it's my favorit subject but Proffesor Hunt always seemed to have a way of loosing me all the time. However thats only because he expects you to be walking into that class having some knowledge of trig prior to taking him. But you can outsmart him for instance teach him a different way of working out a problem and he will respect you:)
Dr. Hunt is a good professor. He takes roll every class and it was neat how hard he tried to get to know each of his students by name. He likes to make jokes, but pay attention because sometimes he says things(in jokes&lectures)that loses you. I overall enjoyed the class.
he is a very intelligant man, you can tell that he is used to teaching a higher level math. i am not that good at math and i still managed to get a B in the class. but be prepared to do some studing, he does not give grade, the students earn them. overall a good teacher that explains things well.
He great man. I luved the class, but he needs to improve on his teaching skills. he expects you to know, because he tells you to do the homework, but doesnt check it. so if you dont do the homework its your lost. I think Hunt is really easy to pass i loved his class, and i am still not sure if i passed but he does make it easy to pass! I was not go
Dr. Hunt is a super nice guy but, you better know your math when you walk in his door. He doesn't spend enough time explaining his lesson. It's very easy to get lost and fall behind. His "festivals" were hard! I was one of half of the class that withdrew from his class to keep from failing. I like him as a person but, not so much as a teacher!
Worst Math Teacher EVER!!!
Who ever say that this guy is a great teacher must be going off of his personality (which is great). but as a teacher he is horrible. I had to teach my self for mac1105 and now I have to do the same for Mac1114. It makes me so angry when teachers do not know how to teach. In his class get ready to teach yourself, and spend hours at the math lab.
Dr. Hunt is a GREAT person, he is going to expect that you know the material. But if you are a shy person who doesnt like to ask for help then this isnt the right course to choose. He will definately help you in any way, BUT YOU HAVE TO ASK!!
Professor Hunt is a really nice person, however it is somewhat hard to learn in his class. I agree with the people who said you have to teach yourself, because you will end up learning the material faster when you look it up on the e-text.
Hunt was hilarious 2 me.He is a great teacher as well.As long as you pay attention in class and ask questions when you dont understand youll do well.He has review days before every 'festival' & is happy to help you out.He doesnt submit homework grades until the final, but I recommend keeping up w/ your hw assignments! Its easy to fall behind w/ those
Fun. he was helpful as long as you asked, if not would just move on. If shy and not so good in math might not be the prof for you. "think algebra"
I absolutely love Dr. Hunt. He was the most approachable instructor I've ever had. Very enthusiastic & eager to share. He'll even let you retake festivals. The key is to show him you're interested & you care and HE WILL BEND OVER BACKWARDS TO HELP YOU GET THAT A. I took 2 classes with him and will attest to this. "Think trigonometry!!"
Enthusiastic about his subject, very helpful if you've got questions. No tests.. Just festivals of learning "because it's a celebration." other than that he usually picks out a few favorites (usually pretty girls) and calls on them in class the rest of the term. But I digress he is very helpful and knowledgable about mathematics and will help you if you have specific questions.
I truly enjoyed Dr Hunt's class. You need to know basic algebra before walking through the door, however he is extremely eager to help, and very approachable. He rewards effort & class participation. I found that it was easier to go to him during office hours for more one on one help, he encourages that. Overall a very smart and fair professor.
I really enjoyed this class - mymathlab made it even easier (as long that you have Internet)
Dr Hunt is the best! I had an extremely difficult time this semester with other things going on and had a hard time on the quiz and test festivals. I went to him during his office hours and was upfront with him. We talked and came up with a game plan. He let me retake the ones I did bad on to so I could get a better grade. I highly recommend him!!
All homework and quizzes are online, and tests are done in class. The way the class works is you go in, sit in front of a computer, he lectures (with plenty of mistakes; he constantly goes back and corrects his own work) and you leave. You could probably learn ore by viewing examples. Would not suggest this teacher. >:(
Mr,Hunt was not a good teacher if you are not good at math this is not the teacher for you he dosent explain things and when you ask a question he makes you feel dumb to some extent.
He's Not Very Patient If You Have Questions. No Extra Credit.
Not Patient When You Have Questions. No Extra Credit.!
Very helpful explains things very well and clear
The absolute best. Very kind and understanding.
Very nice man, but unfortunately very unhelpful as a teacher. Taught myself all of the material by watching videos and with the math lab tutors. If you are a math wiz then you'll be fine, but if you struggle with math you really don't want to take him.
Mr. Hunt is great. i enjoyed his class. everything's online: HW, quiz, practice test, chapter test ad final. Even u can ask for help...not a problem. My tip....do HW and practice test...everything is almost same. :)
Horrible professor. Does not teach Trig at all. He needs to retire asap.
Horrible teacher does not teach trig and does not go over each step.
I took him for Mat1033, Very nice guy but teach math is something that maybe he needs to retire from. it was very hard for me to understand what he was teaching. he simply did the problem on the bored, but with almost no explanation on how he got that answer. like i said nice guy but doesn't help me learn math, he did pass me but just barley.
great professor...he is available to help and tries to explain.. he actually cares and if you dont need to attend class , you only have to show up for tests
Mr. Hunt is very educated and funny man. He is extremely helpful and kind. People who have trouble in his class are generally lazy people that hate math. He makes you work for your grade. I'm not great in math but, trying to become better. I would definitely suggest ts professor to anyone that wants to learn!
Great professor. Explains the lesson and is available to help you.I would highly recommend taking his class.
Mr. Hunt is very nice and very understanding, even though he may tell attendance is not important show anyways it does make a difference..He really cares about his student and whether or not you pass. he will take his time and explain things to you. good teacher!!1
He was a very difficult teacher. Everything was on MyMathLab and he didn't let us use calculators on the tests. He walked around the room to make sure we weren't cheating. He expects one to know how to solve math problems without calculators from simply demonstrating one problem on the board. This is the 2014. Let us use calculators.
I tragic as it may, I will personally say Dr. Hunt is pretty tough.. But its a god tough! He cares and tries his best to clarify anything you are misunderstanding.. Math is my 3rd best subject and I passed with a high B+! I definitely recommend him!
I had him for intermediate and college algebra, he was good. Trig, not so much. He makes a lot of mistakes and sometimes confuses you when he makes the mistakes on lectures. You ask him for help and sometimes you will get help, other times not so much. It may be time for him to retire? Good guy otherwise.
Mr. Hunt is a very hard class. His lectures are very long, and expects you to already know the material. If you want to take his class, make sure it's the only class you're taking because it will seriously get to your GPA. Also, he doesn't make learning fun, he turns his back to you, and pretty much talks to the wall.
I took Dr. Hunt for both intermediate and college algebra, and I love his teaching style. He is more than willing to help in any way that he can, and is very understanding. Be prepared to ask questions if you do not understand, as he will not spend much time on one thing if no one asks questions. I wish I could take him again for my last math!
Dr Hunt thoroughly understand mathematics and at times this seems to make his lectures go over students' heads(including my own). I like him as a person and he did help me out quiet a bit in trig. If you're looking for a free ride, do not take him. If you're willing to listen and put in work, you will be fine.
Mr. Hunt can't really be considered a teacher. This isn't the first time that I've had a teacher who knows the material, but cannot teach it. It's as if you are expected to already know the material before you take the class. If for some demented reason you decide to take this class, prepare to do MyMathLab work for the rest of your entire life.
Dr. Hunt is truly one who cares about his students. He mostly wrote on the board while we all did the online portion but if someone has a question whether it pertains to the topic hes on or not he will answer it. Homework isn't due until right before finals and gives unlimited attempts on quizzes. You truly only have to show up for the tests.
Even though his classes were long, this professor was open to any question and never said no to a student who needed help. If you needed to be explained 10 times, he would take his time, and make sure you understood the material. All tests and quizzes were online, and he gives you hints as to which excercises are coming on the "Maxi-Festival".
He's a very good person, but not a very good professor. He tends to drift, and doesn't talk loud enough. If you're good at Math then you might be able to pass just by doing Mathlab.
Everything is on Mathlab, his teaching is not so great, but if you ask for help, he'll help! He's very nice and funny, expect to work tho.
If you have this prof. you might as well take the class online. The "lectures" are just him going through mathlab answering the homework questions. No lessons, rushed material, not a good professor if you have no previous knowledge of trigonometry.
Dr. Hunt is one of the most caring and dedicated professors I have ever had. I have taken intermediate algebra, college algebra, and currently trigonometry. I made sure I was in his classes because he has changed my life in so many ways. Dr. Hunt has lead me to understand my true potential.
If youre not good at math, DONT take this prof. He doesnt teach/lecture. Only thing he does is the homework himself as if he was the student trying to figure it out. DOES NOT go over the how-to... AVOID THIS PROFESSOR AT ALL COST!!!
I could have never asked for anything more than the gift of having Dr. Hunt as my professor. I have had him for three different semesters and he is truly a special teacher. Dr. Hunt cares about his students, he doesn't teach for a salary, he teaches to make an impact in his students lives. I will be forever grateful for everything he has taught me.
I believe Professor Hunt covers the material very well and is very thorough.
Not that bad of an instructor, but not the best. I had his class for Intermediate Algebra and College Algebra. I had a B in Intermediate Algebra and I received an A in College Algebra.
He doesn't explain the math problems at all he just writes and mumbles to the board. He said we wouldn't need a scientific calculator but he used his. I had to drop this class bc he was horrible.
I like this class, because you can go at your own pace and if you do your work you don't really have to go to class. The homework is pretty easy and the quizzes, but when you get to the test make sure you have good notes.
Pros: You do not have to show up to his class since he does not give pop quizzes, You can go at your own pace so if you are working this professor will be perfect for you. Cons; if you do not have a good foundation i math you will struggle 100%, you cannot fail more than one test if you want an A it was a decent class but i had to work for it.
Here are ways to pass his class 1. You can do the work on Mymathlab 2. If this does not work you can either read the textbook 2.1. If you don't like to read you can also use you tube to search up the concepts which is what i used since i could not understand his lecture in his class. 3. consult the math lab on campus but many people willbethere
Dr. Hunt is crystal-clear, no frills, straight forward. The consummate professional.
He is by far the best professor I have had at CF. The quizzes are exactly like the test (same layout and everything), and he goes over them in class before the test. If you need help he will walk you the through step by step until you understand it. 10/10 would recommend if you want a good grade in College Algebra.
