Dr Don is an awesome teacher. I learned more and had more fun in his class than any other I have ever taken. His lectures are never boring, he's always patient when you ask questions, and his enthusiasm make it a joy to be in his class.

I had Dr. Don for Human Sexuality and Intro to Psyc. He is one of the best if not the best professor i've ever had. He keeps you intrested in every detail, you always want to know more. I love his way of teaching, he's very informative and captivating. I would take any of his classes

Took online. wrote 3 personal introspect papers and one final paper. All other was discussions on line. Very funny instructor. I dreaded this class and still got an A. Do work on time, easy A. If I needed further classes that he taught, I would definetely take his classes. Great Teacher!

i had "doc" for 2 consecutive semesters (psych /human sexuality). He's is very intelligent and excels in his ability to teach. Curriculum consists of weekly quizzes, introspection papers, research project, and xtra credit. Class work was engaging to me due to the excitement doc brings to the subject matter. Good luck reading his handwriting though!

Dr. Lucas is the best professor I've ever had. He is cool, smart and all around awesome. If it wasn't for Dr. Lucas I would not be at UT. Take every opportunity to talk to Dr. Lucas. I am taking his class online and it is super easy.Dr. Don is an awesome professor. It is impossible to fail his class, unless you don't do any work of course. You have 4 papers and about 15 bulletin post. You have a week to do every post maybe even longer. GREAT PROFESSOR !!!! If you need psyc I would highly recommend him.

If you want to take an entire semester listening to his liberal agendas, take this class. He is very smart and quite funny, but I'm sure he thinks that he's the only person in the world who knows anything. Doesn't tolerate differing opinions.

If the last reviewer defines "liberal" as open-minded, I guess that's what Dr. Don is. He is going to open up your mind, but be very aware; opening minds can be painful, as the last reviewer so eloquently demonstrated.

Dude on a realLucas is badass. If you ever need a psych class or social science credit and he steaching the class, definnetly jump on that****. He is very funny and a down to earth kind of guy. He keeps your attention and hes just funny to listen to.

I loved this class. Dr. Don was funny, entertaining, and very knowledgeable. We had weekly "celebrations" (quiz), but if you pay attention in class and took the time to skim the chapters, you won't have any problems at all. Overall, I had a blast in this class, I learned quite a bit, and highly recommend it.

Dr. Don was fabulous! Granted, I took this course online, but his discussion boards make you really think about the various topics in Psychology. The comments he writes on your submitted papers are valuable, too. If you're planning on taking an Intro Psych course, make sure you take it from Dr. Don!

I took Dr. Don for intro to psychology in summer. He is very nice and helpful. So funny. You never get bored in his class and you learn things that you need to learn. He is just fabulus. He helped me a lot, the least I can do is telling you guys how great he is.

Dr. Lucas was awesome! I took his online Human Sexuality course and it was so much fun! You only have 3 papers the whole semester, you just have to respond to the discussion board as much as possible & you have a week or two for each discussion.It is that simple! You will need the book for reference but i rarely used it. I highly recommend it!

Dr. Don is arguably the best teacher at NVC. He adds humor, and encourages guided class discussion. Time flies in this class & you find yourself wanting more (what other class can you say that about?). Active participation (reading textbook, "celebration" tests, group project, & written papers) are required for a good grade.

I litterally changed my major to psychology after taking thins class. He makes the subject fun and interesting and uses new ways to teach every class. He encourages in class discussion and participation. There is work, but he makes it so interesting, its actually fun to do. I would recomend him!

He made me love to go to class. He wants his students to learn and do well in class. If you come up with a new way to get bonus points, he will say yes to it if it relates to the topic.TAKE THIS CLASS! P.S. not for slackers just wanting to get by.

I took Dr. Lucas for intro psychology, human sexuality, and abnormal. He is great. He is the reason why I decided to major in psychology and eventually in counseling. He makes the classes interesting and easy to follow if it is not your major.

I took him online and the class was great with lots of interesting discussion boards, not to mention he's funny! He is excellent at keeping you updated on what your grade is and overall is an awesome prof. Take him for sure!

This was an online class. I had never taken an online class before, and this was a great experience. It was well organized.

Online: Very well organized course, grades updated several times per week, instructor's online presence and feedback were consistent. Excellent discussion topics. I would take his courses any day!

This instructor was not difficult, would recommend him if you don't mind writing essays. Not sure if would count against you for not agreeing with his happiness theory (book), always agreed with him just in case. Would recommend the on line course not very difficult, just writing intensive.

I took Dr. Lucas for Human Sexuality. It was one of the best online classes I have ever taken. He has excellent discussion board topics, and about three essays that you have to write. He updates grades several times per week, so you always know where you stand. I would highly recommend his course.

Very energetic and fun professor. However, I didn't appreciate the swearing he did in class. I hear it enough from classmates so I was a bit disappointed hearing it come from him. He did make learning fun and fairly easy.

Great professor. At first, I found the class quite challenging. However, it got easier toward the end. The professor is funny and makes the class interesting. We did not really use the textbook, but mostly used the happiness book. Overall an easy class, but have to put in some effort. His handwriting is barely readable - sit near the front!

Dr. Don was the one of the best professors I have ever had. As long you keep up with the discussion boards and write all 3(read in a sarcastic tone, because that is nothing compared to other classes) of the essays he gives you, there is no reason as to why you should not get an A.

took the summer 1 course, great prof, easy class as long as you do your work, offers extra credit in the form of volunteer work and bringing in things for the tests. id take him again.

Just read the chapters and keep up with the discussion board every week! No quiz or finals but you do have 3 introspections which were my favorite part of the class! I didn't see Dr. Don interact too much on DB but if you really engage in the DB then you will really discover a lot about yourself and others around you. Would definitely retake!

Dr Don is an amazing professor. I took him for my Human Sexuality class and I thought that it would have been extremely boring but he made it fun and exciting. He is very clear in what he is teaching and is very easy to get a hold of when needed. His "celebrations" were easy as well as his reflection essays. His group projects were also fun.

Don is a fantastic professor and I would recommend him to anyone. I can't stress this enough, if you skip class you WON'T PASS. Every single class day you will discuss something that will be on the test and on top of that attendance a good chunk of your grade. If you ask questions and write down everything you are set. Very interesting class!

The only downfall to his class is the fact that he does not give test reviews so it is important to take very detailed notes or record it like I did. Out of all the Psychology teachers/ professors, Dr. D. Lucas is by far the best at this campus. He does not overwhelm you with a ton of information or HW yet, you learn so much. If you need a Psychology course to fulfill a degree requirement, take him. If you are a Psychology major, take him.

Do yourself a favor and take him in person. He'll turn your brain on and challenge your ideas; do not be afraid to argue. From all the psychology professors I've taken at NVC, Dr. Don is by far the best, both as a psychologist and human being.

Honestly this class was the best way to start my day. Mr. Lucas is very funny and at the end of every class my mind was blown. I feel like this class was very informative and really made me think. This was the first class I've ever gotten a 100 on a paper but i wouldn't say it was an easy A because his tests can be tricky.

Dr. Lucas loves his job. He is very punctual and grades often. He practically spells out the grading criteria and only expects you to take interest for a good grade. His class is easy as long as you participate in the discussions. There are three introspection's but it's hard to screw up on those. Takes effort to fail his class.

I'm currently taking PYSC 2301 online with Dr. Don. This is the easiest class. TAKE HIM! He grades very often so you will almost know where your grade at all times. No book. He gives you free link to sign up to read. Discussions are super easy. 3 Introspection papers, which are easy! You have to try to fail to not pass this class. Would take again!

Dr. Don is a cool guy, but this Human Sexuality course has been the class that i have stressed the most about this semester. He is a tough grader and doesn't cover everything in the lecture that he will test you on. Take lots of notes and just try your best!

Dr. Don was a very intelligent, bright professor that cares so much for his students. I did not expect to enjoy a psychology class so much. Lots of group work and presentations, including a "change the world" project. If you attend lecture and take good notes, it is an easy A. He also lets you have an index card on every test.

DR. Don's online class was easy enough, just participate in discussions and 3 papers about yourself. He was very sweet and helpful. I learned a lot from his class, you will to! Just do the work in the discussions and papers and you will do just fine!

Phenomenal professor. His lectures were interesting and funny. There is a lot of group work and a big group project where you can choose your group. Three big papers, and about three tests. The tests were fairly easy for me, just study hard. Good extra credit opportunities. Provides access to an online textbook, which I never used. Take good notes.

Super fun and silly teacher! I always learned something new from him. Lots of group work and participation. Three easy papers and three tests. I just wish he provided study guides for his celebrations (tests) because they can be a little difficult, even if you take notes! But definitely take him!!! :-)

Dr. Don made this class so fun and interesting. You need to take a lot of notes, but if you do, you will pass the celebrations no problem. We had 3 short papers throughout the semester, 3 celebrations, and 1 group project. He provides quite a few extra credit opportunities and as long as you're showing up and doing the work, you'll easily pass!

Took this class online as a flex course and it was primarily discussion posts and 3 essays throughout the semester. He was specific on what was required in each discussion post and also was pretty lenient on grading essays. Also plenty of opportunity for extra credit. Overall, really enjoyed this course.

I was dreading to take a psychology course since I needed one social/behavioral science credit, but Human Sexuality ended up being my favorite class ever. I wish I could take it again! His class was fun, informative, and interesting. He gives great lectures and I like that hes open to hearing other peoples opinions.

AMAZING TEACHER! He is very funny, gets everyone involved and interested in the material and keeps their attention on him. He is a tough grader when it comes to both his test & essays. He doesn't give homework but does group projects. He will give extra credit as well and is easy to meet up with in office hours or talk with through email.

Dr Don taught me the most about psychology. His lectures are always interesting and we learn something new. I wasn't into working in groups when I started his class, but he makes the projects fun and interesting that I actually now like it! Taking this class gets me excited to learn more about psychology.

Take GOOD notes--study it all before the test. you write 3 papers in the semester (not bad at all) & have one final project. This class was so much fun! Dr. Don made psychology and grasping all the content very easy and applicable. Lots of stories and lecture so be sure to TAKE NOTES! It can be easy to just come to class and just listen because he makes the class VERY fun but please take notes otherwise you will have difficulty in passing his exams called celebrations.

Dr. Don has been the BEST professor I've had so far. He is a great lecturer but be prepared to take great notes if you plan to do good on the test. His awesome class made me want to change majors to Psychology. He will make you want to go to class.

Easily the BEST professor I have ever had, he is very engaging and interesting during class time. I never missed class just because how much I loved the class. Took this class as an elective credit as a business major, but makes me want to change to a psych major! Class is generally easy and allows LOTS of extra credit, don't see how you can fail.

he is a funny man, and we had lots of homework (it was a flex class). they weren't hard assignments, just a lot of reading. what I liked the most was his grading system, it was public but we all had secret names.

Dr. Don made learning relatable and fun, he will use in world examples to help us better understand what he was talking about. When we took test he allowed us to write some information on an index card to help us. We also had a lot of class/group presentations, we did this so he can see what we understood and what we didn't understand.

This course should be mandatory! Dr. Don is amazing at what he does, I wish I could of taken the course in person than online but even for online, the knowledge I have learned about human sexuality is truly phenomenal!!! TAKE THIS COURSE!

I really enjoyed Don Lucas's class. The discussion sections were particularly valuable, and he regularly updated an Excel sheet with our grades, which was helpful. He was also very engaging in the discussions and quite humorous, making him one of the best professors I've had at NVC. I would definitely recommend taking his class.

I enjoyed his class his lectures were valuable and he was funny.However, his test are difficult and he has a lot of group assignments.The assignments aren't difficult but they are time consuming.He also doesn't use canvas which was a bit of an inconvenience. But he does allow make up for the test and extra credit so take advantage of that.

Professor Don's class is engaging and challenging. Lots of group work, but he provides extra credit. Unstuck AI helped with study prep - highly recommended!

Hands down best professor I've ever had! I did take a flex 1 summer course so it was extremely fast paced, but the content was so fun and interesting that it made the pace tolerable. If you do take a fast paced course like this then be prepared for constant work but he gives amazing feedback! His videos are also entertaining as well!
