I have always struggled w/math but he has an excellent teaching style. He will tell you exactly what to do and why. Very Helpful. The problem is he is also very exact about how he grades. Pay attention in class, do the homework, show your work exactly how he shows it on the board and you'll ace his class.

Mr Rose style of teaching is excellent i had him for 360&,200 i got a B in 360 and a A in 200 he taught in such a way i understood math and thats saying alot because i have always struggled in math. If you so up do your homework go to the math lab you will get a good grade.

I FINALLY understand and passed a math class because of this guy. He is absolutely wonderful! I've taken Mr. Rose for both 360 and 200 and I've learned so much from him. He is a really good instructor. He explains the problems step by step and as long as you go to class, do your homework and work on the review handouts, you should be fine.

Great teacher! You need the book for the hw's, but you can easily check it out in the library. No math code needed. The teacher was great, even for a 6am class! Beware that your grade depends on how well you do on your tests. Other than that, super easy.

Took math 230 online with Rose. In the first class meet he clearly explained the important matters of the online class, told us what hours he was in the math lab and encouraged us to go see him anytime we needed help. He sent email reminders and updates that were informative, helpful and encouraging throughout the semester.

Don Rose truly wants all his students to pass his classes. He'll sit with you and help if he is available. He will get you 5 points for each exam just for going to the math lab. He does not require you to MyMathlab, just do all your homework and show up to class!!! Buy far the Best math teacher ever!

Please don't listen to the negative reviews because professor Rose is a great teacher. He offers multiple extra credit opportunities. There are four exams and one final and the homework isn't due until the end of the semester. It is an easy A if you put in the effort. He truly goes out of his way to help his students pass the class.

I would definitely take another math class with Mr. Rose! I took this class online and had to pay for the Pearson MyMath lab course. I attended class in person twice which was for the midterm and the final. He is very clear when it comes to grading and expectations, as long as you do all your homework, then you will definitely pass the class!

I like math, but its not my strongest subject. Mr. Rose is a fantastic instructor. I greatly appreciated his ability to teach, especially in a super crammed summer session. He is more than reasonable. He based the grade on 4 exams and A LOT of homework. Hes a bit rough around the edges at first, but hes very funny and cool. I highly recommend!

If you are looking for a statistics Teacher, this is a good one! I was terrified to take statistics. Mr. Rose has made it so easy to get through this course! Show up to every class and his goal is for you to succeed, completing the homework is a must, but he has laid it all out that everyone should be able to pass, as of right now I have an A!

Homework every night but its EASY if youre there to take notes and you can do it until you get it right (MyStatLab). Rose is an excellent professor - Ive taken him for every math class Ive had at COS. He makes math understandable and he seems to care about his students. Professor Rose is a genuine person that wants us to succeed. I appreciated how he made himself available and was very clear on grading. I'm so bad at math I'm not exaggerating and even I got an A. He had such great energy, which made class (when we had it before covid)enjoyable. Which is really rare nowadays.

Professor Rose truly knows what it means to be a great professor. He made stats super easy to understand. I not only appreciate his ability to teach but his compassion for his students. I had class at 7am and even with early morning he still was able to bring a lot of energy and make jokes. I truly appreciate him these types of professors are rare!

As someone who struggles with math, I was able to pass his class with an A. He has a clear grading criteria. He posts 2 lectures for the week. As long as you watch the videos he posts & copy the notes, you'll be able to pass the hw for the week (which you have unlimited chances to do) and it is not due till Dec (don't wait last minute).

He sends out clear notes for the hw every week and is available for questions. We get assigned a new chapter of hw every week on Pearson and it's a fair amount. He also gives us the opportunity to turn in the hw (and go back and correct it) at any time before the end of the semester!

His lectures and notes he provided helped me pass the class so easily. I would definitely take his class again.

The tests were pretty easy. If you do not do well online, he does provide how he did the work. He answers fast to emails and I found learning pretty easy. I am a fast learner and do great at teaching myself how to do the work. There was a decent amount of homework, so prepare for that. I would take notes to prepare you for the exams.

One of the best professors I've had. I took this class online so there was no actual interaction but the class format and assignments were super easy. The notes he provides are simple but have everything you need and everything is due at the end of the semester.
