He was interesting enough, but his exams were impossible-if you can't do multiple choice, i wouldn't recommend him. Plus there are only exams, no other assignments to pull up your grade.

Sharpe is fantastic. He is very helpful, friendly and funny. I took 100 from him 4 years ago, and he still remembers me and says hi.

His use of power point is awesome! Lectures are so easy to follow. And the short videos almost every week are a nice break, too.

He is a great professor. Actually looked forward to going to this class as he makes his lectures interesting and fun. Class never seems to get boring as he is constantly making jokes or telling stories that relate to the material. Great class to take and great prof to take it from.

This guy is hilarious-probably the oddest, quirkiest prof I have ever had...all those weird sound effects...he's also very clear, multiple choice tests, pretty straight forward, and his entertaining lecturing style keeps me awake in my first class of the morning. Highly recommended.

Dr. Sharpe is a GREAT prof. I was so scared to take this course and he really made it easy to understand. He goes over every problem step by step and is available for help whenever you need it. I went into the final with a 78% but the final was EXTREMELY difficult so I'm not sure how much my grade will drop. He is a great prof but I'm bummed about the final.

Only Dr. Sharpe can make 'inferential statistics' sound so delicious and approachable... He is a fantastic prof and a very nice person. I'm looking forward to taking 405 from him. Final was tough. It wouldn't kill him to put some DF values on those sheets!

Gave lots of examples during class. Only 3 midterms and could get 3% bonus for doing experiments. Kinda of strange outlines and teaching style though.

I would not recommend taking this class in a 3 week block. It was extremely difficult and there is a lot of material to cover. He is a great prof and wants his students to succeed. The only complaint I have is that in the labs you basically just have to figure it out on your own which was really hard. Don't take this class if you want an easy ride.

Well, what can I say. This guy is absolutely hilarious. Made me laugh really hard and put me in a good mood for the rest of the day. It was a large class, though, so all questions on tests are multiple choice, and they're kinda hard - so if you don't like that format, then run far, far away.

His class was easy. Gives you good notes. Exams weren't bad - mainly multiple choice with one long answer and about 10 definitions for both the midterm and the final. No assignments.

I've only been here for a year but he's the best prof i've had.I wish he'd teach more classes cause i would take them.explains everything and all the notes are on webct.3 exams,2 midterms and a final all multiple choice and non-cumulative.He's such a good prof im considering swtiching my major to psych cause he got me so interested!

Awesome class! He makes sure that you understand what's going on, and the use of activities even in the big auditorium made it seem like a much smaller class. Especially liked the Six Degrees of Separation stuff.

The only teacher you should take stats from!!!! DO NOT BUY THE BOOK OR EVEN LOOK AT IT. Reading the book will only mess you up. He teaches stats at a level anyone can make sense of. Two mid terms and a final. All you have to do is go to class every time and do his practice assignments a couple of time and you can almost ace the exams. Great prof!!!

His lectures are extremely boring! However, he breaks things down into very simple terms and actually makes you think about what you are learning and apply it to questions rather than spit out definitions. His final was a piece of cake! I would highly recommend taking a psych class from him.

Donald Sharpe is an awesome professor! His expectations are apparent from the start. His notes are clear and posted on WebCT. His exams are simple multiple choice. I strongly recommend this class!

Sharpe is amazing. His jokes are actually funny, and he incorporates them into the exam questions which definitely lighten the mood in the room. Read the text for exams and make sure you write down the notes. He is super clear on what his expectations are. I definitely recommend taking any class you can with him!

Sharpe is an excellent prof, I wasn't interested in psyc at all before the class with him. He shows lots of cool examples and makes class fun. Midterms and final were multiple choice, - no surprises at all. I would take another class from him :)

Hilarious, and well informed. You get to watch gnarly videos about pigeons. Read your textbook and you'll be fine. Notes are easy because they're posted on A Power Point Presentation.

Meh. Overall wasnt the worst prof I ever had. Was pretty decent, although I got a higher mark with other psych profs. If you are going to take it with him I'd argue dont bother buying the lecture slides he gives you as it is out of date and will have you writing up and down the margins all the time (I switched to my laptop, and did much better).

Made class interesting and funny. If you aren't looking for mark above oh, 80, don't bother with the textbook. Some exam questions were pretty tough but if you know your stuff you'll be perfectly fine. Overall, I wouldn't say he's the best prof I've had but he's definitely not bad.

Overall he explained how to do the applied stats quite well, but the theory portions on the midterms/final were BRUTAL. A lot of the questions were very confusingly worded, and one question he had literally told us the wrong answer for it in class. There was a huge disparity between the marks on many student's written and calculation components.

This Honours-level stats is by far the most difficult class I've ever taken, but Sharpe knows his material and can explain it very well if you are willing to learn and take initiative to ask questions. Hilarious guy in class-I recommend him highly!

Funniest prof in the Psych department. Uses weird analogies for things that actually help you remember. To say it was an advanced stats class, I actually looked forward to going.

Psych 204 is one of the most boring classes in the world. He made it good. I can't wait to take more classes from him. Makes awesome pop culture analogies. He's also hilarious. I highly recommend

The content itself was dfficult to pay attention to, but he does his best to make it tolerable. His jokes are quite funny and if you have any questions he's always available to ask and pretty flexible about assignments.

Don is an excellent statistics professor. He uses great examples and makes stats... dare I say it... fun? He is a charismatic speaker and has a quirky sense of humour. He KNOWS his stuff, loves his students, and is a very nice man. I wish that I had taken more courses with him during my undergraduate degree!

He's hilarious! I found his assignments interesting, his tests were clear, and I actually enjoyed his lectures! Don is a decent prof. 2 MTs and a cumulative final exam. He did not have a required textbook and had us refer to his notes therefore ATTENDANCE IS A MUST! I think he's pretty straight-forward when it comes to his expectations. But he does ask a Few "trick" q's and he does ask questions about the examples he shares in class so take some notes.

Great prof. Would definitely take another class with him. Although I don't appreciate how questions about random stories he tells in class or examples he shares show up on the exams. You never know what he might test you on so jot down everything he says unless he specifically points out not to write something down. Hilarious guy though!

Don is amazing! He is practically a celebrity amongst the Psych majors as he is able to take any content and make it funny and enjoyable to learn. He is very witty and kind. He makes coming to class not a waste of time and is always very accommodating to meet outside of lecture. If you want a prof who can brighten your day, take his class.

Entertaining lectures, such a funny and witty guy, keeps you interested on the topic. He is very passionate about Psychology. Make sure you listen well and take good notes, all info is from what he says (slideshows are just pictures and titles). Most incredible professor ever!

Loved this prof and course! Don is funny and and tries to make things as easy as possible so his students can succeed. He doesn't post notes online so come to class and take good notes and you will be fine for the exams. Final is non comprehensive except for one question that was very general and easy to answer if you attended lectures and such.

Two midterms and a final, all noncomulative. To do well on his tests, write down literally everything he says in class, even if it may seem irrelevant, and then study all of that for the test. No textbook for the course. He is one of my favourite professors. There are five mini assignments worth 1% each but they are just for completion marks.

Don makes stats easy! Just take a breather, and listen to him and follow the formulas. He does an excellent job at explaining and applying real examples.

There were two midterms and a final. 5 assignments worth 1% each, just for participation. He puts the examples that he used in class on the test. make sure your write everything down!!

Don is a great prof "and so on and so forth". He posts nothing online so show up to class and write down absolutely everything. As long as you show up and write good notes, the class is a breeze. MC questions on midterms can be challenging if you missed class as all the questions are based exactly on what he mentions in class.

Don is an incredible prof, his lectures are hilarious and keep your attention. No computers allowed and he doesn't post his slides. Literally write down everything the man says, all examples, all names. His tests are MC + short answer Review notes the night before and you'll be fine. Easy assignments. Accommodating & really cares about his students

Dr. Sharpe is an excellent prof. Ive taken four of his classes and would recommend them to everyone! Lectures are interesting and tests are relatively easy. Just show up to lectures and take good notes. Hes one of the best PSYCH profs at the University.

Due to COVID19, Donald sharpe cancelled all homework and gave us a straightforward lecture (w/ audio) to learn from. The best psychology prof on campus. If rate my prof let me add more tags I would.

Pretty straightforward class, a midterm and a final plus 6 small assignments. The lectures were interesting. Professor Sharpe is pretty knowledgeable in terms of relevant research related to the topics and pretty funny as well. Exams are mostly based on lecture material, pay attention to the professor's anecdotes and his opinion on the studies

Challenging but important class if you're a psych major. Lectures were in the form of narrated ppt slides. Weekly assignments, two midterms and a final with computational and MCQ components. Lots of statistical tests and procedures to memorise and apply which can be difficult in timed tests. Good sense of humour makes classes enjoyable though.

Very knowledgeable in the content he teaches. I found his lectures to be nice as they are all on PowerPoint and I highly recommend stopping in each week to his "book club". The best advice I can give is to prepare for the exams by relating the course content to practical examples and listening to the examples he uses in the lectures.

Dr. Sharpe is a fair marker and a good lecturer. Attending office hours via zoom was very helpful. As long as you are genuinely putting in the effort and want to learn, he is a fantastic professor.

Dr. Sharpe is a very well-liked individual and very respectful to the students. He has fun in his classroom and does not make the class boring! Definitely would take his class again.

Professor Sharpe keeps the class lively and engaging. While the course material can be challenging, the lectures and resources like Unstuckstudy make it manageable. Definitely worth taking if you're interested in the subject.
